@park chanyeol *looking ahead aimlessly as i listen to you, i hum in agreement and add my own*
And they thought it over, maybe more than once, well prepared for it so it leaves minimal to zero impact on them- or that they moved on from that impact/effect already by the time they leave.
*lifts my head off the headrest to look outside to see if i recognize the area and if i could guess where we are stopping by the next stop*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *listens to you until you stop yourself from speaking further and I nod a little, at least agreeing on what you actually said* You are right, I think it's because the one leaving is in control of their circumstances and their reality. It's easier to deal with your own actions.
*looks out of the window checking the surroundings and seeing the familiar district I had in mind and meanwhile takes out my phone, checking the internet as the bus stops at one of the bus stops* Okay, we should get off on the next one.
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol *tilting my head back to rest it against the headrest of the seat, not sure where we going and resting now while i can because who knows what activity you getting us into. Though when you call me out on running away yet again, i cant help but smile cheekily*
Well, you see, i almost forgot about that. You got it the worse back then because i was the one leaving.
Guess that's how always it is. Always easier on the one leaving. And- *speaks casually then stops myself from adding seeing no point in that as we are in good terms after all, lifting my hand to wave it dismissively*
Nevermind. It doesn't apply anymore.
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *sits down, pushing the ride ticket in my pack pocket and then laces my fingers in front of me as I sit beside you, relaxed*
I guess I do. *smiles to myself a little bit, in a way relieved you don't have to deal first-hand with these issues of mine anymore, being it easier on both of our minds and hearts now when we are friends*
You mean the reconciliation in the form of not hearing from you for weeks after? *laughs, shaking my head, wondering how you can think of it all so bright and pink when that led to weeks of separation*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol Unfortunately, all forms of vegetables aren't likeable.
*sinks deeper in my seat, seemingly more relaxed and my legs spreading slightly wider in process to have my knee touching yours when you sit down next to me*
You got issues, we been knew. *corner of my lip tug into lopsided amused smirk that soon fade when you mention our history of fighting was more, probably from my side as i can never forget the time i punched you and thus i correct myself and add with a snicker*
We both got issues.
Oh yeah, it wasn't that bad at all. And if anything, we reconciled quite well, too. *bites back cheeky grin as i refer to the night of the punch and how it ended up after you sulking, but despite the time that passed and my belief of me moving on, this first night still leaves lingering ache in my chest which is concealed with my cheekiness right now*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I don't like soft, cooked vegetables so raw is always more welcomed.
*pays for the ride when I step into the bus and then looks for you, following you to your seat and sitting down on a free spot beside you, putting my wallet into my pocket again while continuing the conversation*
Yeah, I like my pizzas and relationships unhealthy I guess. *jokes, peeking out the window when the bus gets to move, leaving the bus station behind and I make a mental note to let you try the corn on pizza sometimes*
Ah, I suppose both are possible but given our history, the probability of fight is higher with us. *shakes my head, amusement showing on my face as I know that's not completely true, hence I add* Although, we never actually fought real bad I think. No plates throwing at each other or so. I suppose that's why we can be still friends.
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol I dont even know if i eat vegetables anywhere else. Definitely not raw.
And you want it extremely unhealthy, huh? *chuckles and shakes my head then hums and nods at your recommendation, considering it*
Next time then. Maybe take me to pizza and imma try sweetcorn on your pizza first. *grins casually and follow your gaze toward the bus direction then look up at you and can't help but blink, wondering if its really always that bad and find majority of the memories are so, but i take it lightly as well and joke cheekily after i get off the seat and stand beside you*
Gotta keep acting decent? Now really not sure if you meant we'd fight or the moment we alone by "indecent". *goes in first into the bus and scan around for empty seat preferably away from others and next to a window and find me one, going toward it and settling down*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I eat vegetables in other dishes or raw but not on pizza. Pizza is junk food so it needs to vegetables, that would make it healthy. *concludes with a small laughter, knowing that's an overstatement anyway, and keeps standing beside you while you sit*
Maybe you could try it some time, it's not bad really, tastes exactly same like in tacos or tortillas. *assures you with a small smile and watches the passing cars, ocassionally glancing in the direction where the bus shall arrive from and then looks down at you when you question where we might be going* Ah, no, not my place. That would be asking for troubles. *shakes my head and keeps my tone lightly, thinking briefly of all the times you were at my place and how they went* Don't worry, we will stay in public so both of us gotta keep acting decent. Oh look, the bus is coming. *announces when I see it appear from the corner of the street heading to us and I slowly move closer to the road, waiting for the door to open to let you in first* Don't worry about the fare, Ayumu, just find yourself some free seat.
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol Same. If i got the choice i would say no any kind of vegetables, meat cheese and extra sauce.
Sweetcorn? I don't mind it in tacos and tortillas but I'm not sure how i feel about it on pizza. I mean, it should be similar but you know me, just picky for no good reason. *snickers and shrugs, dipping my hands into my pockets as i walk beside you*
The place is quite far? Where are we going? Back to your place or....? *cant help but question curiously what this far place is as we reach the bus stop and takes a seat there, stretching my legs*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I don't even choose any vegetable for my pizza, I just like the unhealthy stuff - meat and cheese...except maybe sweetcorn, that's the only one I don't mind. And mushrooms too but these ain't a veggie.*nods to myself as I wait for you to join me outside and walk in the street with you, continuing the food topic*
I don't like olives too, I don't mind small pieces mixed in rice but that's about it.
Yeah, of course, at home I don't bother to walk around and I just carry on with what I am doing or need to do. But if I eat out, then I prefer to walk home instead of taking some kind of a vehicle. But now, I think I would rather take a bus as the place is quite far from here. *discloses with the respect of approaching the bus stop to let you know that's our current goal and stop by it, checking the digital screen for when the next bus shall come, guessing we have several spare minutes to just wait*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol You see, i can ignore some toppings if they are chopped into very small pieces. Like i like bell pepper but when its chopped small. When it takes half the slice with how long/big the piece is, i just remove it.
Well, yeah... *scratches the back of my head, chuckling at the accuracy of that*
Probably why i only ask for no olives? Because otherwise would be too much. Mushrooms i can take out neatly and they don't leave a strong taste? Unlike olives, they are pain to remove and also leave a strong taste behind them which i hate.
*glances down at your hand on mine then up to your face, my confusion didn't clear much and i squint a little wondering if you trapped me to admit that but i drop the topic when you get up and i get up after you as well, following you*
Yes, it helps me too. Well, whenever i do it when im out. Because im already out and /have to/ walk. But if im at home i'd just lay down in pain and wait for it to magically disappear because too full, heavy, and lazy. *shrugs and follows you out the cafe, dropping any extra demands like in our way in*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I never willingly had one with olives or tomatoes, mushrooms I don't mind. But I don't like onion so sometimes I order pizza with toppings I like but ask them to not put on it onion so maybe you can do that too, unless you'd ask them to remove so many things you'd get Margherita anyway. *laughs and rubs onto my eye briefly before looking over at you and it's quite some show seeing the subtle changes of emotion on your face and even if I don't know what exactly going on in you (or maybe because of that) I reach my hand over to pat at the back of your hand lightly, in a friendly manner yet ultimate hoping to soothe your mind no matter what*
You did, in your question just now. *chuckles as I add to explain what I meant, not really thinking you did say it and when you confirm you're ready I pull my hand back to grab the tray instead as I get up and ready to dispose it at the stand on the way out*
Then let's go. Actually, walking usually does help me to stop feeling too full too. It will sure help you too. *sees the point in that, focusing then hard on not knocking the dishes off the tray, glad to leave it behind at the stand and head to the exit, this time just walking out first as usually and leads a way to the nearest bus stop*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol But other types of pizza have tomatoes, olives, and mushrooms. I'd spend time picking those out and it pisses me off because i dirty my fingers for it when i can safely and neatly eat a margherita instead.
Im a simple guy, we been knew. *nods in agreement with your conclusion, glad you see that finally, though i can sense an inner self-doubt still that makes a laughter threatening to escape*
I did? *pauses to think, wondering if my two extremes already showed and clashed again*
Uhm- *blinks in disbelief at the mention of more donuts and shakes my head with amused smile, that smile sort of soften to more genuine one and lingers more than intended, as i get rather sentimental at your next comment, overthinking your meaning of it but catch myself and stop myself already, not to repeat the mistakes again, to take the apparent simple meaning instead without overthinking. Though, my face perks up when you don't tell me the plan and ask me instead, readiness written all over my face, not minding this spontaneous outing at all*
I mean, it could be difficult at first but seems like the best thing to do now to feel less heavy.
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I suppose it's not that dry but still quite dry compared to other types of pizza. You might truly not be that difficult with food, liking just few simple things, orange and Margherita. *concludes rubbing on my chin*
You said that, not me. *is all I say to your question with a playful grin as I reject to answer it for you*
Do you want more donuts? *asks with a short-lived laughter as I assume more stuff is more stuff, including more donuts* But mhmhmm...it's been quite a while. *hums quietly, mostly to myself, before I brighten up towards the outer world* It can't end with donuts only so~ *shrugs a little bit, leaving the ending open as I suppose you don't have to know everything right away*
Are you able to move with your full stomach?
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol I mostly get margherita. How so? Crust is... Crust, just a crispy breed. It doesn't have sauce nor cheese.
*straightens my back and a single brow raise up sassily, mostly to push it further playfully, although i know how extra that can be, but wouldn't be me if i dont push it to extreme too as i question*
You saying sassy, bossy me is /bad/?
*glances down to your wrist as well and shrugs*
Depends~ you planning to buy me more stuff? *bites my lip not to laugh as i know i have no plans for today regardless but can't help but to play*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I never had margherita, it's too plain and kinda expensive, in my opinion, for getting almost nothing on top. Isn't that almost like eating the crust alone? It's just tomato sauce and cheese, right?
Makes me wonder.... would you with stomachache be /worse/ than sassy, bossy you? *leans aback, laughing out aloud, certainly wishing you'd not have a stomach ache for your own sake but that doesn't mean I won't joke about it*
Are you in hurry? *asks now when it seems we are indeed done with the donuts and tilts my wrist to take a look at my watch out of habit*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol Well, my pizza has to have lots of cheese. And given how picky i am with toppings, margherita pizza is the safest choice for me. But thankfully only got burnt once by it.
*grins wider when you seemed to stop me then gasp and knock on the wooden table, a habit i see around me*
Oi, lets hope not. Well, /you'd/ have to deal with that, so you better hope not for your own sake. *seeing how grumpy and cranky i can get with stomachache, i warn and shrug, reaching for napkin to rub most of the sticky sweetness before i simply my fingertips off and wipe the saliva in the napkin*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *briefly glances towards the counter as well as if I could find the answer to your question there* I suppose. You'll have to ask but it's quite common for cafes to give take-aways, anyway, so I think it might not be a problem.
It happens only with cheese pizza, maybe because of the hot cheese melt or maybe because it's favourite and I truly am /that/ impatient for that.
*sees the look you give to the donut about to question and warn you* You better not force....*is a tad bit late with it as you already stuff the rest of the pastry into your mouth, shaking my head*
And that's how one gives themselves a food baby and a stomachache. *comments unable to fully mask my amused tone before I drink the rest of my coffee, leaving behind small bits of unmelted ice*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol Ahh, makes sense. Its how everyone around you do it. I only adopted my way because of fam, too.
I feel bad too! I don't think i can finish it right now- *lifts my head to glance toward the counter* you think they can give us the remnant as take out? I'd eat it later. *mumbles mostly to myself before i look at the remnant as if calculating if i can stuff it in my tummy now*
Oh! That only happened once for me. Seems its frequent for you, though. Guess you are way more impatient than I am. *finishes my drink and takes a deep inhale, rubbing my tummy to see if i can just finish strong by finishing the remaining donut, ending up picking it up again and finish it in two big bites, grinning accomplished as i finish*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *thinks, looking for an explanation for why I never do that and it's a rather simple one as to why it never crossed my mind until I saw other people doing that* It just...seems right to eat the banana from the top down. And my whole family eats banana like that so I just did too.
*watches you giving up on the donut for now and laughs at your realization* I am glad I avoided this mistake. I feel bad leaving food left-overs. I hope you won't leave this uneaten too. *gives you a supposedly stern and lecturing look before I watch you chase the straw with your tongue, making me subconsciously sigh a little bit to myself*
*grimaces a little bit as I don't share the enthusiasm over orange*
Yeah, I also usually burn the inside gums by the front teeth with cheese pizza when I take the first bite. I hate it, it feels uncomfy for a few days then. *runs my tongue over the gums which now, are thankfully okay as I didn't have hot pizza for a while*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol Why the hustle when you can just peel it easily by hand from the root? *chuckles and shakes my head, looking down at my donut as i exhale deeply, feeling there is no more space for the remaining of it so i place it down and grab my drink*
Maybe i should've taken a regular, unstuffed donut for the 2nd.
Hmmm? *hums as i blink, feigning obliviousness when you call me sus and reaches for my straw but it slips further so i wrap my tongue around it to bring it to my mouth and take long *
Oranges ranked high in the fruit i eat, but yeah peeling it is efforts.
Uhm... That's weird indeed. But i also understand you couldn't wait for it to cool down. Im impatient too when it comes to food.
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu It's not like I bite it off, I just bite it enough to break the peel so I can then grab it and peel it easier. *laughs along with you, somehow trying to make my habit sound more civilized if that's possible but then I just conclude with a shrug and a chuckle* Well, you wanted to hear a weird habit so you got one. *bows my head to my drink to sip more of the coffee without using my hands*
Uhm. *blinks and swallows at your comment when I look over at you, unsure I know anyone who would wish to be a banana, and when I pull aback I tilt my head slightly, observing you for a moment* Ayumu sus. *is all I say before taking a breath to spill out more on the topic of orange*
But overall, I don't even like orange really. It's one of the least favorite fruits of mine, especially because of the difficult peeling. So when I decide what to eat, I'd choose any fruit over orange.
Also, about the pizza. I think someone found it weird before that I ate pizza using knife and fork. I don't do it always but sometimes yes, when it's too hot and fresh from the oven in a restaurant.
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol *chews my food then swallows to be able to answer you what i think tip is but im taken aback by how you peel the banana, staring at you*
I- thats barbaric! Why would you bite the banana's peel? *cant help but laugh, mostly in surprise, but also some comment comes to my mind that i cheekily mumble as i bring the donut to my mouth to hide my similar cheeky grin*
Guess one wishes they a banana. *takes a bite and chews casually, listening to you explaining and i nod*
Thats how my mom peel it, and many others around me. But somehow this way leaves a thicker white coat on the orange? Unlike when you cut it then peel each piece off.
If plain, i dont eat it at all. Rather be full of pizza middle than crusts. *stirs my drink again and drink some more, balancing the remaining amount of the remaining of my donut so the drink doesn't finish before the donut*
I know right? Or should just eat with me, imma eat the pizza and leave the crust to them. No waste.
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *slowly finishes my donut, just then moving on to the coffee as I swap the plate for the glass of the cold drink, taking a long gulp via the straw as it's refreshing and I am too thirsty*
Well, wait. What do you consider the tip of the banana? I mean bottom is the part that is attached to the tree, where it grows from, right? And tip is the very ending, right? *makes sure this is clear* So yes, I open it from the tip, usually taking a /bite/ into the tip to open it and then peel it. *nods my head to myself*
About the oranges, I don't cut them with a knife, I just peel them by hands, digging my finger through the peel. *adds on to point out the lack of knife at all* And I think people usually use the knife yes to cut first.
*laughs since at least in the pizza crust you seem to approve* Well, I eat the crust until I start to feel full so then I leave the crust and eat just the middle stuff, but I know some people who claim crust is the best thing on the pizza. So I think they should just bye pizza bread with nothing on it but maybe garlic, that's basically only the crust.
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol *distracted myself from my own thoughts by keeping the conversation going, i on my straw and roll my eyes*
Typical of parents. Want you as a mini version of them. *pops last bit of my first donut into my mouth as i listen to you anticipatingly, nodding mindlessly till you mention something about peeling the banana makes me furrow my brows and pause chewing. I eventually swallow to speak*
Wait, tip? As in the black part by its bottom? *cant help but makes a face, an exaggeratingly disappointed one* and to think i told you to make me proud. If you opened a banana in front of me before, that'd have been the reason we broke up.
H o w is that convenient even? The banana just get smashed when you try to open it from the tip, no? It gets messy!
And who peel oranges with knife? Like, i cut them by knife then remove each peel by my hands. Isn't that how it's done?
I don't even eat pizza crust. *snorts and shrugs a shoulder* so i cant see how is that best part of the pizza and don't get people who like the crust. Unless the crust is stuffed, then i eat them. *eyes fall to my second donut as if contemplating and calculating but end up picking it up and taking a bite anyway*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu I know my parents do that thing and keep saying I should do it too but I don't think I ever did. It's just a no-no.
*adds on before I take another bite of the donut and unlike you, my thoughts do not shift towards how this could've been since there's no clear answer to that but instead the current settings make me remember how we ate the burgers the very first time, somehow feeling familiar to that time when we just spoke about the neutral food habits, quite uncomplicated and safe topic but in a way quite sad if that's all we have to talk about after all the time*
I don't know, hm. I like to think I am the normal one when it comes to food, okay. But from some typical things, let me mention these: I open banana from the tip, not from the root? I peel orange with my bare hands, not knife. I don't think pizza crust/edge is the best part of the pizza.
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol *chews on the sweet dough while listening to you, i swallow and nod in agreement*
Same. Like, i never tried it so i dont know if its gonna make me gag enough to throw up, but the idea itself never appealed to me to try it. But seems everyone into it that im always made the weird one out.
*reaches my other hand to stir my drink with the straw and takes another small gulp before i take another bite, with the momentary silence along with the atmosphere around, i cant help but be taken me back to how it should've been. These donuts could have been eaten together at the start of "us"; now eaten after all, but with whole different vibe and atmosphere, given how it is now. Seemingly too similar yet too different. Despite my inner thoughts, i keep my face causal and swallow my second bite*
So what other food habits people do but you don't? Make me proud please. *smirks playfully, showing my approval of you not eating and drinking at the same time*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *briefly smiles when you sit down as well, pulling my feet under my own chair to cross them at ankles there while I stir the coffee and ice in it with the straw briefly*
I know that's what people prefer but I never ever mix food and drink in my mouth, if you get me. I'd probably throw up at the soft wet food consistency. Food separately and drink separately, after I swallow all of food, are a must for me.
*stops stirring and takes a hold of the donut, biting into the sweet pastry, my mouth busy eating for the next few minutes to speak*
ayumu 3 years ago
@park chanyeol *watches you put the tray down and proceed to sit down, mimicking your narrowed eyes then can't hold my laughter longer when you reach your obviously long leg and push the chair away for me, i sit down with a pleased toothy grin and crosses my ankles*
Really? Im told coffee is /best/ with something sweet because it balances the sweetness. That you don't need to add sugar to your coffee because you can just have your sweet bite and gulp it together with chug of coffee.
I can never leave a drink completely till the end. I like to sip in between, regardless of the drink.
Ah no- imagine- our next stop would be the ER. *shakes my head, laughing, i start with a small to my straw before i hold my first donut, taking a decent bite off and chew slowly to savor the sweetness of the caramel*
park chanyeol 3 years ago
@ayumu *puts the tray in the middle of the table, automatically sitting down to see you standing still, narrowing my eyes at your antics and I stretch my leg under the table and I use it push the opposite chair aback, guessing it's about the overall intention not the specific tactics used*
It's generally terrible to drink coffee /after/ something sweet. So it would be quite bad to take sips of it between the bites. I'll leave all of the coffee for the end to deal with the transmission only once.
I hope you won't need to finish donuts off with a desert. *laughs, although just that idea itself gives me sugar overdose*
