Hospital

@Luhan L shook his head and draped an arm around the other's shoulders. "It's okay to be upset. I'm upset, too. These kinds of situations really , but it happens." He shrugged and a soft sigh came from his lips. "It'll be okay. Really it will."

@L Luhan turned his head so the other wouldn't see his face. "I-I'm fine, what makes you think something is wrong?" He asked, trying to keep his voice from cracking again. "You didn't say anything to upset me." He stood there and calmed himself before turning towards the mail with a fake and forced smile. "See? I'm perfectly fine." Luhan tried his best to sound convincing but he was never really good at it. He was never able to lie without getting caught, even when he was younger he'd always try to lie his way out of things but in the end he'd just get caught by either his mom or dad and would get yelled at.

@Luhan L put his hand on Luhan's shoulder and frowned softly. He took a step closer to the man and tipped his head, trying to get a better look of his face. "Are you okay?" he asked softly. "I'm sorry if I said something to upset you." L just stood there for a moment and shrugged. "She stays in her room here. I could probably go home. Besides, they will call me if it's important."

@L [y reply, but I'm tired and my brain isn't wanting to come up with anything better right now. xD]

Luhan looked at the picture, smiling a little. "They look happy together." he said as he stared at the young couple in the picture. He chuckled softly and thought about how the photo he was looking at was a lot different than his parents' wedding photos. His dad didn't smile, just standing there with a blank expression like he didn't even want to be there. He sometimes wondered why his parents even got married in the first place, always thinking that his dad didn't care about him or his mom. Luhan quickly turned his back towards the other male as tears filled his eyes. "W-We should get back inside. They're probably looking for you." He said, his voice cracking as he began walking towards the door. He hated others seeing him cry and he really hated crying in front of strangers.

@Luhan L shook his head as he pushed himself up to stand. He stretched his arms above his head, lacing his fingers together as if to shake himself out a little. "Not really. I've never been all that curious. I always just figured they gave me up and that's all I really needed to know. I never had any attachment to them. But I do have this." He muttered as he pulled out his worn and faded black leather wallet. He pulled out a yellowing photo of a couple. They were young, and the woman was in a beautiful white dress, shoving a piece of cake playfully into the man's mouth. "This is them on their wedding day."

@L Luhan sadly smiled as he looked down. "I can't imagine what I would do if I was adopted, but then again, I sometimes wish I was." He said, softly muttering the last part to himself before standing up. Pushing the thoughts out of his head he waited for a moment before looking at the other as he spoke. "So, have you ever tried looking for them just to see who and how they are?"

L swung his legs and turned to face the other. He thought about it for a moment. Then he offered the man a soft smile and shook his head. "Sometimes I think about it, but I don't really miss them. I mean, they gave me up because they knew they wouldn't be able to support me, and I admire that decision." He said quietly.

@L "You're adopted?" He asked as he looked at the other male. Luhan sat down where he was, keeping his distance from the edge, and continued looking at the other. "Do you ever miss your birth parents?" He asked in a saddened tone.

@Luhan L nodded, his gaze far away. "She is, but it'll all be okay." He smiled, turning his head up to the sky, watching the white puffy clouds lazily roll along. "Our adopted parents are very proud of her. Though I think we're all just a little saddened by the turn of events," He said with a shrug and a soft chuckle.

@L Luhan felt like his heart dropped as the male mentioned the age of his sister. "She's still so young." He whispered, sadness heard in his voice as he spoke. He smiled a little as he looked up at the sky. "Your parents must be very happy to have a strong daughter like her. If I were in her position I'd probably be crying everyday." He said in his usual soft and low voice, chuckling a little.

@Luhan "It's not so bad," L replied softly. He himself didn't have many fears. But while he didn't fear death, he feared loss, and spiders. He swung his legs softly and looked down at his hands in his lap, a soft sigh and a bitter smile formed on his lips. "She's 16," He said softly, his voice thick and shaking. "And my God, she's a damn fighter."

@L "Death is a scary thing." He muttered to himself as he looked at the ground in font of him. There were a lot of things Luhan feared but the thing he feared most was death. He hated hospitals and he hated having to see people pass away, but he knew it was a part of life and some day he wouldn't be in this world anymore as well. "How old is she?" He asked as he returned his gaze towards the male. He watched as the other male sat down, deciding to just stand there, not wanting to get any closer to the edge due to his fear of heights.

@Luhan L nodded, heaving his own heavy sigh and letting his shoulders slump. "I know the feeling," he muttered as his eyes swept the scenery in front of him. "I know my sister's condition is an uphill battle, but we can't give up hope on her yet. She's living on borrowed time, but maybe the clock will stop some day," he said softly with a shrug. "I don't want to lose her, though." L stepped closer to the edge of the building and sat so his legs swung over the side. His fingers were laced loosely together in front of him, his eyes holding some raw unreadable emotion inside.

@L Luhan listened to the other as he spoke and nodded in agreement. "Yeah it is. What's even harder is having to watch all of it happening and not being able to do anything to help." His voice cracked a little as he spoke. Taking a deep breath, he sighed before looking at the other male and smiling shyly at him. "But I tell myself that everything is going to be alright and it will get better." Of course he knew that his mom's condition most likely wasn't going to get better, and it even showed in his eyes no matter how hard he tried to hide it. Now that his mom was getting older her body was getting weaker and he was dreading the day that would end up coming where she wouldn't be in this world anymore. Leaving him alone with no one to comfort him when he needed it. His dad was always too busy working to care about anything else so in the end Luhan would be by himself with no one to lean on when he needed someone to talk to when he was feeling down or was having a hard time.

@Luhan "I don't think there's such a thing as being too nice, unless you're a pushover." L shrugged softly and stared out to the city, smiling a bit. "No she didn't bug me, It's just hard. It to watch someone you love suffer," He muttered, glancing down to his feet. "I'm sure I don't have to tell you about that. I mean, you're here at this hospital." L chuckled quietly and offered a small smile that didn't meet his eyes.

@L Luhan was standing on the roof of the hospital, staring at the city around him when he felt someone nudge him and speak, causing him to jump a little and quickly turn towards the person. He looked at L and blinked a few times before returning his gaze back to the city, gently biting on his bottom lip. "Y-Yeah, but sometimes she goes a little overboard with it." He said in a soft tone before glancing at the male. "I'm sorry if she bugged you too much."

@Luhan Myungsoo didn't really have much hope, but he offered a small smile and nodded before he pushed himself up and walked to the stairs. He climbed them all the way to the roof of the building and opened the door at the top slowly, looking around until he spotted the man, Luhan. He came over and lightly nudged him with his own shoulder. "She's a nice woman, you're mom," He muttered softly.

The woman nodded a little and gently pat the males' hand before slowly standing up. "Well, I'm sure that she'll be perfectly fine. Like you said, the doctors are great, and I should know because I've been coming to this same hospital for quite a while." She then let go of his hands and looked around again for her son, sighing a little. "I guess he went back up to the roof again." She said while shaking her head a little. She looked down at L, the smile returning to her face. "If you need anyone to talk to or just need a shoulder to cry on, my room is the last room down the hall on the left. I should get back in there before they find out that I left without permission. Oh, and if my son comes back through here tell him to go buy me something to eat, the hospital food is disgusting." She said with a final smile before gently patting the younger males' hand and walking down the hall.

@Luhan L was a little startled when he looked over to see that Luhan was gone, but he looked back at the woman and sighed. "No no it's not that. The doctors here are great," he said then waved a hand in front of him and shook his head. "I couldn't accept that no. She's been in and out for a long time. It's not the doctors, it's the condition."

@L [LOL Okay, I'll shush... for now. xD]

Luhan and his mom listened quietly as the male spoke, his mom gently tightening her grip on the male's hands. "Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry to hear that." She said in a soothing voice. "Do you think if she got treatment at a better hospital they'd be able to do something to help? It may be a little more expensive but it's worth the try. Don't you think so Lu-" She turned to look at her son but stopped mid-sentence as she saw that her son was no longer standing there. "Now, where did he go this time?" She asked herself as she looked around. She gave up then turned back towards the male. "So, what do you say? If money is a problem for you then I'm sure my husband wouldn't mind helping out." She said while smiling.

@Luhan [[LAWL SHUSHHHH IT'S FAAAAAHN]]

Myungsoo was a little startled when the woman grabbed his hands but he let her, holding hers softly in his own as he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When she asked he tried to fight some of the tears back, and his voice came out heavy, thick with emotion. HE looked at the male Luhan and shook his head, a small sad smile on his lips that didn't quite reach his eyes. "No it's okay, I don't mind," He muttered before he looked at the woman and gave her hands a small gentle squeeze. "My sister... she's... Well, she's been really sick for a very long time... A-and the d-doctors..." He paused and took a deep breath. As he closed his eyes he rushed out the next sentence so as to not stammer or lose himself. "they're trying everything they can now but they just don't think she's going to make it this time." His next breath was a shaky inhale, as if he'd been running for a very long time and now couldn't get enough oxygen in his lungs.

@L [Okay, this reply probably makes no sense and but 1. I can't really see my freaking screen because I'm over on the couch and the computer is on the coffee table. 2. I'm still having writers block. But I tried the best I could. xD]

The woman kneeled down in front of the other male, smiling as she gently grabbed a hold of his hands. "Mom, I don't think he feels comfortable with a stranger holding his hands like that." Luhan said in a soft and low voice. She just ignored him and continued looking at the male as she spoke. "So, if you don't mind me asking and don't mind telling me, what are you crying for?" Luhan's eyes widened slightly as he walked over to his mom. "Mom, you're not supposed to ask that. It's rude." She sighed and looked at him. "I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just trying to help him. I can't really do that if I don't know why he's like this." He sighed and shook his head. "Mom, I don't think he wants or needs help. He probably just wants to be left alone." He said, glancing at the male as he spoke.

@Luhan L nodded and glanced at the man who's name he now knew to be Luhan. He averted his gaze to the ground after offering a small and slightly awkward smile. "It's nice to meet you," he muttered and nodded, straightening his body and stretching himself out a bit. He took his sleeve and wiped his eyes as he walked to one of the uncomfortable chairs and slumped in to it. His body felt heavy and he could feel another round of tears threatening to spill, so he tried hard to just hold them in.

"It's nice to meet you L. I'm Luhan's mom." She said with a smile before glancing over at her son, noticing Luhan starring at the other male. "Luhan, it's not polite to stare at others." She said in a serious voice. Luhan quickly looked away from the other male and stood up, keeping his gaze glued to the floor in front of him. His mom smiled a little at her son before returning her gaze towards L. "How about we get you out of the floor and into a chair?" She asked, the smile still on her face.

L froze when he heard the voice, the two exchanged. So this must be what the strnger was here for. He kept his head down until he felt a soft small hand on his shoulder and he did his best to wipe his eye and offer the woman a small smile. "I-I'm My-yungsoo," He stuttered. "Call m-me L." He shifted a little, the arms he had around the stranger slowly dropping as he opened the bottle of water to take a sip of it.

@L [Did you just shush me?! xD]

Hearing the other's sobbing made Luhan's heart drop. He hesitantly wrapped his arm around the male, not noticing that someone was standing there watching the two until he heard someone clear their throat, which caused him to jump a little and turn his head to look at who it was, seeing his mom standing there in a hospital gown with an IV in her arm. She smiled at him before looking at the other male that was beside him, then returned her gaze to Luhan. "Hey, sweetie, what are you doing here? I thought I told you last time that I hate you seeing me like this." she said to her son. Luhan forgot about his arm around the other male as he spoke to his mom. "I know, but every time I get a call from the hospital they sound like it's something worse than it is." He said in a low voice. His mom laughed a little and walked over to the two male's that were in the floor and gently placed her hand on the other male's shoulder. "And who might you be?" She asked, the smile still on her face as she looked at the male.

@Luhan [[shh you it's not bad ]]

L nodded and released the sob he'd been holding in, his entire shaking from the release. It almost sounded inhuman and left L gasping for air for a moment. Another sob wretched his body and he collapsed against the male, clinging to his shirt as he buried his face, hiding the stinging tears. It felt like his world was collapsing around him and all he could do was hold on for dear life as his foundation crumpled.

Luhan gently bit on his lip as he continued to gently pat the others back. He thought back to when he was younger and his mom would hug him when he fell and got hurt. He would try to hold it in but his mom would tell him that he should just let it out and cry, but he never did because his dad hated crying. His dad would always tell Luhan that he needed to toughen up because men weren't supposed to cry, they were supposed to hold it in, but he knew that what his dad told him was only him being cold. Not that his dad was a cold man who had no feelings, Luhan knew that. "You know, it's okay to cry. You shouldn't keep trying to hold it in." He said to the other male in a low and soft voice.

@Luhan L was startled by the hand on his back and a glance from his peripherals told him it was the male that had given him the water. At first he just wanted to push the other male away, but he had a soothing presence. So instead he leaned into the male his body shaking from the sobs he was trying to contain.
