the one consolation was that he wasn't the only one who was shy, apparently. this vastly boosted his confidence, knowing that he wasn't alone. he definitely wouldn't turn his back on her just because of that; hopefully soojin would reciprocate.

san's face lit up at the compliment, although his lips curled upwards into a shy smile. "thanks. you are every bit the angel everyone calls you, though," he continued with a nod before realizing they were still standing outside the car, thanks to the woman's prompt.

"oh right! of course, we'll take the car," he exclaimed with a sheepish laugh, rushing over to the other side to hold the door open for soojin.

Clearly she was caught off guard as he had commented on her beauty. Her cheeks turned pink in an instant as the compliment was something she heard a few times here and there but never really acknowledged as she felt quite shy about it. She was a confident woman, yes but like a turtle she'd shrivel back up in her shell as soon as someone notices.

"It's nice to finally meet you, San and you look the handsome one yourself." She gave him a soft smile as she fiddled with her fingers for a bit. "So do I get in or are we going on a walk?" Soojin asked with a kind voice as she smoothened her clothes but returned her gaze back at the man in the car.

@seosooj.bbh.com to ease his tangled nerves, san had queued his classical piano playlist, letting the smooth wave of keys and notes wash over him. he was deep into mozart's concerto when he heard a knock on his window, sending him jumping in surprise. with a sign telling soojin to back up a bit through the slightly tinted glass, san pushed open the door and stepped out, facing his new friend? acquaintance?

"hi, soojin," he first gave her a tiny wave of his hand before said hand slid to the back of his neck, suddenly embarrassed by his awkwardness. the woman before him was stunning. even more so in person, considering all he usually had were online pictures and a profile picture that he got to stare at often with how frequently they exchanged messages. but here, a couple feet only away from her... she was something else to behold.

"you uhm– you look really pretty," he blurted. and then proceeded to mentally slap himself.

Even though she was obviously tired, Soojin happily waved her students goodbye as they were finally done for the day. All that was left now was to meet up with one of the people she had enjoyed speaking to in the chat. Besides Jinyoung and Seungyoun, this was another meet up she had been waiting for. She excitedly picked up her belongings and made sure nothing was left behind then dashed out the door as she punched out.

She hummed a soft tune as she looked for his car, knowing it'd probably stand out as she knew most of the teachers' cars. Confidently walking up to the sparkling black Audi that was parked neatly, she gently knocked on the driver's side window, just to make sure it was really San that was there to get her.

now that they had finally decided to meet, san was nervous. all these people were lovely, he knew. they made his heart swell, made him want to give them the world and more — but would they reciprocate? what if.. he was too boring? too.. drab?

letting out a sigh, san leaned his head forward, barely missing the car honk as he thumped his forehead against the steering wheel. it was nigh impossible for him to quench such negative thoughts, especially when meeting people for the first time — freshman years still haunted him. all he could hope for was that soojin wouldn’t mind harbouring the company of a dull nerd.
