@☼ aiden sol dupre 'wasn't he?' Lance questioned himself while fixing and dusting off the ashes from his rugged shirt and worn-out pants. He wasn't one to be easily startled, although today's experience was an exception. He crumpled the piece of paper he was holding and tossed it back inside his backpack as he noticed the latter was still standing in front of him, not sure if he's a prof or a member of the student body org. since he looked quite prim.
"this /is/ a good hiding spot, and I'm not about to share it with /anyone/, alright?" although quite stingy, Lance took a solid minute to browse the other's overall physique. "you're not a student popo, are you?" he asked already annoyed at the possibility of his cigarettes being confiscated.

@☾ lancelot legume maybe it was a bad idea to take the stranger by surprise — once he started choking, aiden winced. he'd never really smoked before, but it didn't exactly seem... pleasant. not to mention the long term effect it had? he didn't understand why people did it, but he wasn't going to bring that up. the stranger seemed irritated enough.

"i wasn't— i'm not /creeping/," he scoffed, an indignant scowl on his face. he didn't want to seem like he was creeping around — was that what he was doing? no, he was just curious. "it just seemed like a good hiding spot down here. and it looks like it is, considering you're killing your lungs right now."

@☼ aiden sol dupre scanning the piece of paper where all of the scheduled classes were written, lance couldn't help but let out a scornful chuckle "potions class? what a joke", he doesn't get how mixing different liquids could possibly help him in any way in the future. lance flicked off the forming ash on the tip of his cigarette before placing the filter in between his lips to take another long puff. the addicting stuff a k a nicotine began to take effect and the surly student was about to slowly exhale the smoke when he suddenly heard a male's voice which had caught him by surprise.
'those things can kill you, you know.' the smoke stifled his airway causing for him to choke
"no , really?" although struggling to breathe he still managed to mock the latter.
"what the hell are you doing creeping on other people, man" he coughed and cleared his throat until the awful taste of the smoke subsided.

@☾ lancelot legume it's not that aiden was a bad student — he just had the tendency to want to take breaks from all those... heroic pretentiousness, in a way. and now was one of those times. he was forming bad habits already; skipping classes despite it only being his first year in the academy. and so here he was, taking a seat on the lowest bleacher and sighing to himself. this whole... heroic fate thing was nauseating, and part of him regretted ever coming here.

not that he could do anything about it, of course.

the smell of smoke pulled aiden from his thoughts, and he tilted his head as he tried to follow the smell — was that coming from below? well, he had to admit it was a pretty clever hiding place. leaving his spot on the bleachers, aiden followed the smell of smoke to find a seemingly older student, smoking a cigarette. "those things can kill you, you know."

"what a drag" lance uttered to himself, voice sounding a little gravelly brought by his posture as he was lying down under a bleacher with his hands tucked under his head for support. It's been a few days since the school year started but he just couldn't make himself enter the classes he enrolled in. Lance would rather spend his whole day hanging out in his favorite part of the school, under one of the bleachers in the field, than to actually 'learn'.
Cautiously looking around the grounds if anyone was around, he nonchalantly moved and used his arms to push him up in a sitting position; he then pulled a pack of cigarettes from his backpack and started to smoke one.
