@☼ ravenna sparrow When was the last time he had seen this girl...? Was it when their fathers ships had met at sea by accident...? Or at at the durch Harbour when they re-stocked supplies? Or was it on a treasure island where their fathers happened to be looking for the same treasure? It didn’t matter, chase didn’t remember properly anyway. It must’ve been a while ago. So it surely did come as a surprise that he saw her here of all places. Near that damn school he was stuck at. Was her fathers crew nearby? They mustn’t know that chase was sent away to a boarding school by his father, he was still ashamed of that. His sharp eyes lingered on her figure. They way he looked at her was as if he looked at a lesser being. It wasn’t how he saw her, it was what he wanted her to feel like. To feel inferior. Because chase wanted to be, no, /had/ to be superior.
He ignored her initial question because it was rhetorical anyway. Yeah, he kicked her and he would do it again. “I asked first, Sparrow. And I’m not happy to see you either.”, the words he spit sounded like venom. “So, the are you doing here? Here with your dad, hm?”
He raised an eyebrow, tilting his head to the side, trying to appear cocky and most certainly succeeding. He may come off as an idiot and a clown sometimes but when he wanted to appear serious and intimidating he usually succeeded.
@☾ chaser barbossa when she made her plan to head into town to get some stuff done, and more importantly to get some good food and good drinks, she sure hadn’t thought that she would see /him/. if she could turn back time, she wished she hadn’t made her way downtown at all, if it meant not having to see him and his smug face and those eyes of his, filled with such vile that would probably choke and drown her whenever he set his eyes on her.
spotting her favourite cafe, an excited little smile danced across her face as she made a beeline to the cafe. she had grown to love coffee, enjoying its flavors of bittersweetness, finding it to be somewhat similar to the savory aftertaste of rum. raven wondered if her father would have liked it as much as he liked his rum, but there probably wasn’t any way of finding the answer anytime soon seeing how the man hadn’t even bothered to reply to her letters. it was only an one-side effort of her trying to stay in contact with a man she called “father” who seemed to be avoiding her at all costs. deep in her thought, she wasn’t paying attention when she almost tripped, a curse escaping her as she looked up only to meet eyes with /him/, someone she had known for a long time, who seemed hell-bent on fighting her to be the best and challenging her every time. “did you just kick me-” she broke off, the initial surprise in her eyes soon replaced by displeasure, “i could say the same, what are /you/ doing here?” she raised an eyebrow as her gaze travelled down the length of his body, as if trying to make sense the fact that he was very much real and not just a flicker of her imagination. “i would say it’s a pleasant surprise, but it’s really not.”
@☼ ravenna sparrow Today was a good day. Why? Easy! No classes which meant chase was able to make a trip to the city, head downtown and do some shopping. Chase enjoyed shipping, liked spending money and looking good in fashionable and possibly expensive clothes. Chase loved being somewhat wealthy. The life of a pirate sure was an enjoyable one. Just like his father, chase liked it not for the adventure but for the wealth. And boy did he like the wealth.
He just exited a store, a bag with a new coat in his hand, as he looked around thinking of where to head next. Jewelry... pants... a new shirt? Or maybe just sit down in a cafe and enjoy some cake... he didn’t get further with his planning when he suddenly spotted a girl nearby. A girl that he knew. A girl that caused a sour taste to spread across his tongue. With disgust written over his face he blatantly headed over to the girl, kicking against her foot to get her attention, not caring about politeness... not that he’d ever be polite to begin with. “Hey, the are you doing around here?”
