Armory

This is where the campers get their weapons. It is a big metal shed around the side of Athena's cabin. It has quite a large collection of swords, spears, clubs and even shotguns. Every camper gets a weapon, but the Hephaestus' cabin makes their own. The armory is confused as the camp forge.

Each cabin has it's own stash of weapons, but the camp armory has by far the biggest collection of magic armor, swords and other implements or warfare. One-stop shopping for all your camping needs, you should definitely get fitted with some gear before your first day of activities.

@[R] Stephen Krause "They'll warm up soon.." Clyde said, more like convincing himself than the other male demigod, and faltered. "..hopefully." Then the tall lad managed a quick shrug on his shoulders before he continued unloading the weapons from its containers.

Unexpectedly amused, Clyde then stretched his long limbs after finishing his task with the aid of the 'lightning dude' and appreciatively patted the other at the back. "You have no idea what awaits you in there." The brunette male said. "I bet your praetorship might have deprived you from discovering this generation's magical world of hope, dreams..."

He flashed a toothy grin. "...and machine oil."

[ hey heyy, let's continue this at the armory? ouo ]

@[G] Clyde Payton "That bad?" Stephen looked concerned. "Maybe I should talk to them about it..." As far as his knowledge of the Vulcan offsprings goes, they were not violent... but admittedly, yes, they were not exactly trusting either. But he had no idea that the distrust extended even into their half-siblings.

"Ah, let me help you with those," he offered, taking some of the weapons from the other's hands and set them to the proper places - after all, he was well acquainted with weaponry. Though, hearing the offer from the other male, his expression brightened.

"I say we go," he said, grinning. "It'll be an honor to watch... and learn. I've always wanted to learn the basics, but I just don't have enough time in Camp Jupiter to pursue that."

@[R] Stephen Krause "Dude.." For no reason, Clyde didn't hesitate to unmask the anxiety that glowed from his deep brow orbs. (He didn't know how or why, but he somehow found himself trusting the Roman demigod all too well that he decided not to cover up his true intentions). "..do you see the look on their faces everyday?" His faced slightly reflected horror, judging by his expression. "I swear, those guys hate me. They stare at me like I've committed a crime or something."

His eyebrows rose at Stephen's remark, about them being almost as comfortable as buddies and all. Well, Clyde couldn't deny that. He knew that Stephen's a good guy, despite the fact that he's Roman and is supposedly an enemy of his race according to history. But rationally speaking, he's not that bad. It made Clyde loosen up a bit.

At the sense of the other's heightened interest, the tall demigod's eyes sparkled in excitement as well. "Course you can!" The son of Hephaestus obliged willngly, now settling the remaining weapons into its proper places hurriedly. "I could use a helping hand with these stuff, also.." A grin crossed his lips once more. "..I could even teach you a few tricks about forging." Clyde offered.

"What do you say?"
[R] Stephen Krause 10 years ago
@[G] Clyde Payton Stephen furrowed his brows. It seemed to him that Clyde somehow wanted it to happen, more than just for the secrets. He felt for the boy, but at the same time he couldn't be sure that it was so - after all, it was mere guess. Admittedly, he didn't know Clyde enough to trust him like how he did his comrades, though he had this thought that it probably wasn't that hard to trust your own half-siblings - he felt okay being near Celestine, more or less. Hmm.

"Have you ever tried to talk to them?" He asked. "Like, well... us, I guess. I mean, we're okay talking to each other." Shrugging, he met the grin of the taller boy.

"Can I?" Stephen's eyes lit up as well at the offer. It was one of his thing, hanging out by the forges when he wasn't training. In such a 'chaotic' camp as Camp Half-Blood (overstatement, yes, but he'll blame the very organized Camp Jupiter for this), it might just be more fun and all.

Who knows?
[G] Clyde Payton 10 years ago
@[R] Stephen Krause "Yeah." Absentmindedly, he nodded. "Though I wish they would warm up to us sooner, 'cause seriously, I've watched them carry those blocks of gold before they shut themselves at the other side of the forge.." Clyde said, recalling the uninviting expressions on the faces of his Roman siblings--it made him cringe a bit, honestly. "..it made me feel worthless, you know." The guy barely continued into a whisper.

Clyde felt that unfamiliar wash of emotions over him, and despite how much he wanted to get rid of those little life-wreckers, he couldn't. There are times when a small voice at the back of his head would shout at him like, 'You idiot! They're Romans. Why care about those douchebags?' But yeah, as stupid as he was, he really wanted to feel the comfort from his siblings, regardless of their race. He didn't know, maybe it was a Hephaestus thing? Or Vulcan. Oh, whatever.

"The forge?" Clyde thoughtlessly echoed, snapping back to reality. "Oh, yeah. The forge!" He scratched the back of his head sheepishly, eventually flashing that infamous impish grin of his. "Now that you mentioned it, I still have some stuff to fetch from the forge." He murmured to himself, before his deep brown eyes lit up and met the other's.

"Why? You wanna come?"
[R] Stephen Krause 10 years ago
@[G] Clyde Payton In fact, that was Stephen trying to mingle - and to be honest, he could when he really wanted to. It was just his own inhibitions that prevented him to make close friends of the Greek campers. But if there was one cabin he could place his trust the most in, it would be Vulcan's. Sure, they might smell of smoldering metal and such, but Stephen really thought they were cool.

"I've heard as much," he said, almost as queasy as the other was, but he managed a genuine smile to return Clyde's grin. "Give them time, I suppose. I'm still finding it hard to adjust to your camp's style. But I guess eventually they'll start opening up. It just takes time."

Funny how you can say that to yourself, Stephen. Right, when you're suspicious all the time as well... when will /you/ open up?

"Are you going back to the forge?"
[G] Clyde Payton 10 years ago
@[R] Stephen Krause "Oh." Clyde scratched the back of his neck at the other's comment--it seemed like a compliment--to him, at least. Well, it's not like he didn't hear such flattering words from his fellow campers, but the fact that the assurance came from the mouth of a Roman.. That's kind of overwhelming for the lad. Clyde could only flash a genuine smile.

"Well, ever since this camp hadn't been 'visited' by Romans, I've heard that Greeks and Romans are never fated to get along and everything." The queasiness in his voice was evident enough that he felt pathetic for once, but he still continued. "And now that they are here to stay, well, I took note of the differences but I didn't expect you guys are even better than I thought you would be." Clyde grinned nervously.

"Like those children of Vulcan. I'm not really that close to those guys, but I'd seriously love to work with them, you know." He didn't know if he still made sense, but the fact that there were still Romans who felt isolated from the Greeks actually bothered him.
[R] Stephen Krause 10 years ago
@[G] Clyde Payton "Hey, that's cool stuffs, you know. Creating something. The rest of us has more tendency to break things rather than fix them." Apparently, Stephen himself also belonged in that category. Lucky the imperial gold spear his dad gave him was still in one piece.

"Actually, I think that when you work on it, you'll know what to do." He said. "It's in your blood." A lot of things just doesn't make sense in their world, but it was as he said. Never did he thought he could actually fly before, not until he was forced to. But he hesitated at the question thrown to him.

Their camps had been enemies by nature, true, and the existence of the imperial gold is only known to the Romans as much as the existence of celestial bronze to the Greeks. Though, things had changed. Staying in Camp Half-Blood, he'd learned most of the Greeks' ways, and the other day he saw the metal piles being transported to the forges - more or less, he realized they were similar in so many ways. Perhaps telling this to Clyde wouldn't hurt; after all, Camp Jupiter was no more.

"There's plenty located near our camp, just like how it is here. The forgers often has to recycle, though, so we don't run out. Why do you ask?"
[G] Clyde Payton 10 years ago
@[R] Stephen Krause "Yeah." Clyde absently nodded. "I contribute a lot of armory here at camp since, ah, you know.." He met the other's eyes for a brief moment. "..I have not much to do but hang out in the forge and do stuff." The tall lad shrugged, flashing a sheepish look towards the son of Zeus.

"The process we use here's casting. I guess it's the same procedure done by the children of Vulcan, if not, it might be similar. Apparently, we a Greeks are seriously deprived about info regarding imperial gold. And it sorta ." He said, clearly giving off his interest on their current topic--it's not like he could talk to a Roman who could share details about weaponry almost everyday. So Clyde figured this might be /that/ different kind of thing he was mentally ranting about a few moments ago.

"I have a question though." A thoughtful look lit up his face at his sudden realization. He knew it might be considered as classified information by Romans, and to think that he's technically an enemy by nature--well, he couldn't help it. "Where exactly do you guys retrieve your supply of gold?"
[R] Stephen Krause 10 years ago
@[G] Clyde Payton "Hey, lightning is useful. If you want to blast something to dust." Stephen protested in a joking tone. "Oh, is this yours?" He must say, he was impressed by the handiwork. Sure, he'd seen how they made weapons back in his camp, but it did not manage to diminish the fascination he had with the forge - watching a lump of formless metal be made into something such as what he was holding, it was satisfying. It taught him that maybe even the most seemingly useless thing in the world actually has their own purposes.

"It /is/ volatile." He said, his expression turning serious. "Vulcan's kids seems to handle the metal just fine, though. I don't know if the process is any different than what you do with celestial bronze. Isn't that, like, already patterned in your head or something? Okay, pardon my term, but you know what I mean."
[G] Clyde Payton 10 years ago
@[R] Stephen Krause Clyde nearly snorted at Stephen's retort, then let out a good old laugh. "At least a stove can be useful." He joked, then he eventually decided to get a closer look on the sword Stephen was checking out. The tall lad's eyebrows rose at the sight of the weapon that caught the son of Zeus' attention. It was one of his works, he could clearly remember that.

"One of my best babies." He said, grinning from ear to ear. "But you see, celestial bronze is completely different from imperial gold." Clyde picked up a longer bronze sword nearby and held it with ease. "It's lighter, less dense--which makes it easy to forge. Imperial gold, however, is some serious metal. It's about several times as dense as bronze. They say it's volatile and is more likely to inflict more damage than bronze. I don't know much of it than you Romans do." He explained, wiping the hilt of the sword clean with the edge of his jacket.

"I haven't exactly forged an actual weapon out of imperial gold yet."
[R] Stephen Krause 10 years ago
@[G] Clyde Payton "Says the stove dude." Stephen gave the tall boy a wry smile, but he wasn't offended. He'd been called worse; plus actually, 'lightning dude' doesn't really sound bad. Well, except for the fact that it might get confusing if people refer to his dad with the same name.

"Interesting? Not really. I was trying this one up--" he said, grabbing the sword he'd used earlier and showed it to the other. It was a broad sword, something he hadn't really gotten used to. Roman gladius felt much better in his hold, according to Stephen himself. It's hard to find a proper match in literally a mountain of weapons to choose from. Plus, taking the weight and feel into consideration...

"--I'm not familiar with bronze, though. The feel's kind of different."
[G] Clyde Payton 10 years ago
@[R] Stephen Krause Clyde had already let down a few of the daggers and swords he brought when his ears perked at the sound of someone calling his attention. The tall lad recognizes the voice, apparently, and the same toothy grin crosses his lips the moment he counter paths with the same child of Zeus once more--which happens quite often at this very.

"Oh hey, it's the lightning dude." He unconsciously voices out his thoughts, giving off a glimpse of that child-like attitude of his, but he didn't mind though.

Finally, he looks to meet the familiar pair of electric blue irises and remained grinning. "Nice seeing you here." Clyde greets back. "Found anything interesting?"
[R] Stephen Krause 10 years ago
@[G] Clyde Payton Now this is what you call impressive - in fact, what Stephen finds most fascinating about the Greeks was this very place. He'd always have a thing for weaponry, even if there was a stark difference between his and theirs. The male demigod had secretly been trying out some of the weapons there - well, they did say everyone could have a try at finding one. He could do with less usage of that rather showy weapon from his dad, anyway. At least in this camp.

Perking up at the sound of someone entering the shed, he peeked towards the entrance. Recognizing the other as a son of Vulcan - he hadn't grown out of calling the gods by their Roman names, anyway - Stephen realized that the boy had probably been working in the forges... again.

"Payton," he greeted, putting down the sword he was holding.

[ Starter for Stephen ;u; ]

Carrying loads of heavy weapons to the armory under the scorching heat of the sun caused an inaudible huff escape from Clyde Payton's lips. It's not like the heat bothers him a lot--he's pretty much fireproof, anyway--but he figured that being one of the camp's top forgers is a very exhausting job. He would gather all sorts of metals and scraps and do his magic in the forge for several hours like he's supposed to. Put in a little fire and mold blades out of celestial bronze, then bam! He'll get himself a new stock of blades for the armory. And he'd be proud for having those new metal babies. It's a cool Hephaestus thing he's proud of.

Though sometimes he wondered if he'd get an opportunity to do something different. Like something way out of his league. He just couldn't put it straight for no reason.

Huffing another sigh, Clyde carried his feet towards the shed and sorted out his personally made weapons one by one. Spears on the right, sheathed daggers by the panel on the left, shields at the hooks--he could almost put them in their respective places even if he closed both of his eyes.
[G] Leonidas Bonaventura 10 years ago
{Closed for Juliet Cressida.}

The clatter of armor was heard as Leonidas fumbled through the armory, trying to gather all the things that he needed for his wonderful prank on some Hermes kids. Yeah, yeah, everyone has mentioned that it was quite silly for him to do so, since they were the master of pranks. But he saw it as an appreciation of sorts. Hermes kids would play pranks on him, then he would play some on them. Then, they'd laugh about it later on and discuss whether or not it was successful. Not many other kids saw pranking as a good thing. That's why he clicked well with some of the Hermes kids.

He shuffled out of the armory, a fully clad metal armor suit in hand, and trudged to his own cabin. On his trudging journey, juggling all sorts of pads and joints and such. It was a hassle to bring this suit back to his cabin but all for good cause. They're going to enjoy this prank.

"Oh dear god, Juliet, what are you doing here? Go! Pretend you didn't see me! You saw nothing! Go on, shoo, go, go!" Leonidas proclaimed as he saw a familiar daughter of Hermes while on his way home. In the midst of his yelling, a metal foot fell out of his grip. As he tried to reach for it, more and more armor parts fell out of his hands. Somehow, a calf covering rolled underneath his foot and managed to trip Leonidas. Before he realized, he was laying on the ground with all sorts of armor pieces scattered around him. "Wow, Juliet, I blame you," he grumbled playfully as he propped himself up using his elbows. He was trying to comprehend how exactly he got on the ground, although, it was hard to pinpoint the exact moment.
[G] Kim Myungsoo 10 years ago
@[G] Krystal Jung Before he zones out because of his amazing new discovery, the male manages to pay attention to the camper who just entered the shed. His gaze falling on the female with wonted scrutiny—which he is always, always unconscious of—Myungsoo spares a lazy smile in greeting. Finding it amusing that her tone of voice is laced with something so pleasant and inviting that he could not exactly make out, he wonders if he could actually guess her parentage. Not that he knows the camp residents thoroughly; it’s just that he pays attention to most classical literature lessons to know about the deities. Her bright tone and ease in sparking up conversation seem to be coming from either Iris or Aphrodite, Myungsoo assumes, with rainbows and socializing and sugar and spice in mind. Sort of ridiculous, but apparently that’s how he looked at things before he learned all of it in camp.

“Oh… Hey,” mirroring the other’s light wave, he flashes a smile of relief. “I’m feeling the same, really.”

He allows a few seconds of silence to envelope the two of them. Now what? His lacking point is seriously igniting and kindling conversations, the problem becoming so grave that he can kill it without even saying a word. Sometimes even saying a single thing puts an end to it, especially when he fails on choosing the right set of words. But seeing how she seems to be the outgoing type, this time he just might be able to make a friend out of her.

His own weapon completely forgotten, Myungsoo gingerly picks up a heavy spear to clean next, the sign of his brief trance already ending. He almost awkwardly snaps in front of her, but instead he gapes slightly at a momentary loss of words. “Mm. Right—I forgot. You can call me Myungsoo, by the way,” he whips his head to her direction, standing beside him. Bobbing his head a few times, something seems to be missing as how his gaze lingers towards her. “…Son of Hades. But I guess you already knew that.”

Glancing back at the tiers of weapons in front of him, the corners of his lips curl up into a small, mirthless smile. He just finds it ironic that his mere introduction contains everything he knows at the moment.

“I figured this isn’t much too ask… but can you help me with getting used to this camp?”

@[G] Kim Myungsoo From cabin inspection to winged horseback riding, Krystal was now left with cleaning the armory before she could have the luxury of staying in their cabin for a few minutes before lunch. It’s a lovely day, and she was in a good mood, no doubt—winged horseback riding was one of her favorite camp activities. It’s not every day when you get to ride horses with wings in the human world. It was even amusing to know that the camp now doesn’t just have winged horses—but horned ones, too. Seems like the magical world of demigods still had so much in store. The unicorns she thought only existed in fairytales actually existed in their world, too—only that they’re not really the colorful kind humans usually create.

Krystal had just recently arrived back in camp a few days ago, and only a few days ago did she found out about the new addition to their camp. You would have thought the war that had ensued was enough, but now they have new campers. The Romans were now sharing one camp with the Greeks, which was a big surprise, considering how two races had always been enemies in terms of beliefs. Even the gods themselves always had a hard time separating the two races from each other. But now here they were, bounded by an alliance both never thought would have happened at all. Krystal wasn’t lie—she was still unsure of the idea of keeping the Romans under their own camp restriction. But what else could she do? She could only be thankful that they still had a training facility. If Camp half-Blood had been left in ruins like Camp Jupiter had been, no doubt they would no longer be alive until now even if they survived the war.

Rolling her sleeves up, she pushed the door open. Cleaning the armory is no joke—weapons aren’t really as safe as they seemed. Perhaps she’d just start with cleaning the armors and shields before the weapons…

Upon opening the door, that was when she realized she wasn’t actually alone. Inside the armory, standing in front of the shelves, is another camper. “Oh. Hi,” she awkwardly smiled, lifting a hand as a greeting.

Who was he again? She couldn’t really recall his name, but she was sure he’s a camper from cabin thirteen: Hades’ cabin. His aura itself made it obvious he’s one of the powerful offspring of a Big Three deity; there was no doubt she could possibly be mistaken with his parentage. Does children of Hades naturally radiate such an aura—an unwelcoming, indifferent aura? “You’re assigned to clean the armory, too? Okay, that’s great. At least I’m not alone,” she chuckled, trying to lessen the awkwardness.

Only that she wasn’t exactly sure if she’s doing a good job at it.
[G] Kim Myungsoo 10 years ago
@[G] Krystal Jung It’s all too amusing and awful at the same time that in a span of two months, the armory Myungsoo had paid visits to in a regular occurrence for the past few years, now seems a new concept all over again.

Upon waking up from a sleep that literally felt like three months, he encounters some note already sticking loosely above his bunk that listed all the tasks he’s supposed to be finishing regularly. A few things were crossed out, while the next was the armory—and hell, this shed is overwhelming enough. Fortunately, he’s left with the most basic memories to continue on with his camp life: he’s a Hades kid who joined camp when he was sixteen with apparently no recollection of the past six years of his life. In fact if not even for his bead necklace he wouldn’t find out how long he’s been there. It turns out that he’s also aware of the camp rules, to which he snorts at, because whoever deity did this must have considered that he must do well to blend in and not get punishments from the crazed camp director.

Mr. D… and then that’s where it all blurs out. His memory only have gone up to the point where he entered the Big House, the symbol of Hades hovering above his head, and that man-horse Chiron with the drunk director welcoming him into Camp Half-Blood. He doesn’t even know Mr. D is Dionysus himself, hence the young demigod still questioning the ability of a mortal drunkard to manage a camp.

And now he finds himself in the cold, dark warfare storage, wiping here and there. Myungsoo used to hate having to deal with cleaning the armory, or anything concerning the armory for that matter. It was next to the Pegasus stables, which he loathed because of the misbehaving creatures and the appalling scent in the air. But now he just has that impression again for the second time around, the shed being too musty and suffocating, and the weapons just clanging noisily when you clean them.

A rag in one hand, with the other he picks up one black sword which he notices different from the others mainly because of its dark, solid blade color. The hilt has some embossed symbol that he feels with his fingers as he wipes the dust off of it, and noticing that it was the same to the one embossed on his own bracelet. With no knowledge about it and just casually curious about it, Myungsoo presses the one on his wrist, soon seeing the transformation as a sword in his grip. He startles himself with the natural glow as he is totally immersed in inspecting the new discovery, only to spin around at the creaking of the door.

@[G] Krystal Jung Was she being overconfident? Probably. Krystal most likely could handle a weapon with ease. If that is put with the fact that she also had years of experience, well, in short, Jinri was definitely going to lose.

But this was more about the actual challenge, not the outcome.

She grinned, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "I'll admit, I may have a few tricks up my sleeve."

Okay, that was a partial lie. Her tricks in 'battle' usually come as a spur-of-moment thing, but it's not like the other knew that. Jinri kept on her smile, in a way she was taunting Krystal -- she didn't think it would work, but it was worth a shot. She needed to find the girl's weak spot's before the actual duel, that would greatly assist her.

"Well," she motioned towards the arena. "let's go!"

[ to the Arena? ]
[G] Kristina Rose 11 years ago
@[G] Choi Jinri Krystal knew how tricky children of Hermes could get. They weren’t just good with words (which she found rather amusing, since even without the use of charmspeaking, they easily find their way out of things just through speaking), but they were also good in combat fighting. She should know; after all, she’d been with lots of other campers in her years at Camp Half-Blood. Children of Hermes had both strength and speed.

“A newbie?” Krystal chuckled—or at least, she tried, for it seemed a lot like a scoff—as she shook her head. “I doubt you had the moves of a newbie, anyway.”

Krystal herself never had any formal combat training with a fellow camper. Well, she’s got her own share of experiences when it comes to combat fighting, due to the camp activities such as Capture the Flag, but she barely had any chance to do a formal training in the arena unlike the others.

“But yes, I’d like to.”
[G] Juliet Cressida 11 years ago
@[G] Krystal Jung Following the finger, Jinri found herself staring at the 'sword-fighting' arena. Taking her eyes off the arena, she turned back to Krystal, who had a raised brow. She tilted her head, confused; was Krystal asking for a duel?

She thought about it. Krystal had been here at the camp since... well a really long time ago. Because of that, she must have lots of experience in fighting with weapons. Jinri on the other hand, as far as she knew, could only dodge and taunt her opponent. Back when she ever did get in a fight (which was rare, usually her words would save her) she would trick her opponent into running the wrong direction or looking somewhere else, once she even lead a man into a female dressing room (now /that/ was hilarious).

Petty tricks probably wouldn't work on Krystal.

Still... it was too tempting. Besides, the worst that could happen was that she would get her kicked, but since it would be Krystal, she guessed that would be okay. Plus, who knows, she might actually come up with a few new tricks.

With a grin on her face, she placed both hands on her hips. "Would you like to battle with a newbie?"
[G] Kristina Rose 11 years ago
@[G] Choi Jinri Though, speaking of training… Krystal barely had formal trainings here at camp. Well, she barely really joined any combat trainings in the camp, anyway. Not unless she’s obliged to do so, that is. Usually, she would train with the dead. Krystal had always been considered someone different in camp, perhaps caused by the aura she radiates—but really, communing with the dead was quite useful.

At the other’s question, she pointed at the arena located not far from the armory. It was intended to be located there, so that the armory would be near enough for sword-fighting activities. She perfectly remembered once, when she was told to train, how children of Hermes would often be there to teach techniques.

“Dueling activities to train demigod fighting skills are held in the sword-fighting arena. There are a few dummies there, too,” she nodded.

When was the last time she trained in combat with a fellow demigod again? Ah, when she trained with her own half-sibling down at the Underworld. But that was long ago. Looking back at the other, she raised a brow, as if asking her whether she was interested on a duel.
[G] Juliet Cressida 11 years ago
@[G] Krystal Jung It had been so long since she felt anything positive, this day would definitely be one she would never forget. Her first friend at camp was also her first friend ever. She wanted this feeling to last for a while.

Still grinning, Jinri followed Krystal's actions and turned to the weapons. Seeing all them reminded her of her own weapon, the dagger that she had received on her tour of the camp. It still hadn't been used, maybe that would change soon.

Hearing the little information on training, Jinri nodded; training everyday made sense. Over here time at the camp, she had heard various stories of demigod battles. It seemed like the training had actually helped many people stay alive. If she were to ever fight in a real battle -- which will probably happen -- she needed to be prepared. "I could use some training."

She turned to Krystal, who was looking at her own dagger. "So, where exactly does this training happen?" her eyes had a bit of a spark to them, training seemed like an interesting topic. And adding that it was completely new to her made it something she /had/ to do.
[G] Kristina Rose 11 years ago
@[G] Choi Jinri Krystal never felt more at ease. Suddenly, the girl in front of the other demigod was no longer Krystal—but rather Jung Soojung. The once fragile girl who always longed for a friend; a companion. Her lips tugged upward as she couldn’t help but smile.

“It’s nice to meet you, too, Jinri.” Krystal felt as if a weight was lifted from her shoulder as she looked at the other, face no longer as grim as it always had been. It was by then, when she realized that it wasn’t only her closest cousins that brought out the best in her.

But also a girl named Choi Jinri.

Yes, they were starting over. They were to create even more than just memories, not just as fellow campers of the camp—but also as the best friends they once were.

Averting her gaze from the other, Krystal as well turned to face a stack of weapons, a smile lingered in her lips still. She took out a small celestial bronze dagger and studied it. “Combat trainings are often held at camp. It’s a part of the everyday routine of each camper,”—even if honestly, she barely joined them—“just to prepare each demigod for the real battle.”
[G] Juliet Cressida 11 years ago
@[G] Krystal Jung Jinri was really, really glad she had said those words.

"I'm..." in her mind, she said /Choi Jinri, meet-/ "Jung Soojung."

However, the words didn't stop there. "But I'd rather prefer to be called Krystal, for the name itself is as precious as that who had given me the name."

A flicker of a smile appeared on her lips. Precious? Now that was a word she had never described herself as. And she never thought anyone would call find her precious. Sure, in a way Krystal had broken the rule of starting over -- well except in Jinri's head, there was no official rule -- but it still had made her feel cheery. Keeping on that smile had gotten easier.

"Well Krystal," she grinned as she spoke. "It's very nice to meet you." now that they were starting over, the atmosphere felt more comfortable. She could be herself, well "herself". After taking a few steps, she gave the other a friendly punch in the shoulder.

Her grin never her face. She turned around, half of her faced Krystal, the other faced the multiple weapons. "So do we ever 'compete' at this camp?" she crossed her arms slighty. Honestly, the question had been in her mind for a while. She had taken a couple of walks alone, and every time she noticed people carrying around weapons or battling one another. Battling someone else in a competition seemed like a really interesting idea. Especially with her mindset; oh all the little tricks she could pull...

And yeah, maybe she wanted to see if she could take on Krystal -- just for fun.

Age: 15
ual Orientation: Biual
Time zone: EST
Writing style: Para
Writing sample: "Why is it that I always end up in the worst spots?" Magix asked herself as she stepped cautiously on the wet stones to get across the river bed. She usually found walks calming but when she is trying her best not to freak out from thinking someone is following her farther and farther from camp, it didn't have quite the same effect. Magix was on the verge of going crazy by the time she got to the other side of the river bed. "Just a little more," She told herself, softly, " now." Magix took off in a different direction, somehow making it back to camp and back to her cabin. Once she did however, she was out of breath, almost dying on her bed. Once she calmed down she grabbed her sketchbook and started sketching to take her mind off what happened in the woods. "I wonder what I'm gonna get chased by next?"

Hi! I'm thinking of joining this roleplay. I also think we all could try reviving this place together. This is a great concept, I'm looking forward to see more of what's in store.
