↳ Cabin 9: Hephaestus

@[G] Park Sunyoung Realization dawned to Chanyeol as he slowly turned his head towards the other with a seemingly astonished look plastered across his face. "It makes sense, you know... Luna. Sunyoung." The taller lad bit his lower lip and tried to suppress his laughter. "Your mom's a genius." He commented, nodding his head approvingly as he swung his arm around the petite female and walked towards the direction of the pavilion, grinning impishly.

Chanyeol couldn't help but to feel giddy and nice.

The fact that there was really someone who shares the same blood as him did not fail to bring the gush of warmth he kept seeking for before—not that he did not feel the same way towards his brothers, they're awesome, really—but seriously, having a female sibling is a whole lot different. The feeling was really pleasant, to him at least, considering how his past did not give him any source of warmth at all.

"It sure feels nice having a sister." The guy stated out of the blue, mindlessly ignoring the weird stares the other campers were giving him. "I was an only child, you know. So this is kinda... unfamiliar to me?" He chuckled, eyeing her briefly with his peripheral vision.

@[G] Park Sunyoung “Better be careful, still, who knows, some guy might actually cast a love spell on you!” He chuckled, placing his hand on top of her head casually—considering how he towered right above her—and ruffled her hair playfully.

Chanyeol’s face instantly heated up at her sudden remark, for never in his entire life did he receive a direct praise. “Gah, don’t say that.. it’s weird.” The guy scrunched his nose and eyed her in horror. Being complimented with his looks sure was peculiar and awkward to his part, and it definitely was a relief that Luna managed to insert the thing about his psychotic grin—he could only laugh heartily—he felt more at ease now. “Not used to compliments, sorry, but come to look at it—I sure am pretty handsome, aren’t I?” He ran his fingers through his hair friskily, his mouth twisting up to that so called psychotic grin she mentioned earlier and wiggled his eyebrows at his sister.

“Goody! After we take breakfast we could like already set fart bags to their beds!” The lad visibly bounced in excitement as he fluidly took out a large black bag from underneath his bunk and showed her the fart bags himself. “This is gonna be so much fun.” He grinned dangerously, squishing the said bag resulting to hearing a loud fart noise afterwards. “Luna though.. I wonder where that came from.” He chuckled, handing her some of his nasty fart bags before returning the black bag to his previous hiding place. “But anyway, we should grab some grub in the dining pavilion first before moving on to these babies.” Chanyeol declared, stuffing up his sling bag with fart stacks before draping it to his shoulder and opening the door of their cabin as he ushered her to go out first.

@[G] Park Sunyoung "I think it's double half step-sublings." He corrected, though pretty much unsure whether it is legitmate or not. "Maybe not? I at this, okay. My logic reeks." Chanyeol assured the girl, his infamous impish grin still overpowering his lips.

The way her face literally twisted in bewilderment did seem like the initial reaction of most campers in school when the Aphrodite kids were squeezed in the picture. He supposed it would apply the same to Sunyoung as well. "Y-Yeah.. It's creepy I tell you, and gods, I swear I was really covered in dirt that time so I literally 'what the hell'-ed her I mean, look at me!" His already huge eyes bulged out in disbelief as he opened his arms slightly to make it look like she had to look at his entire state. "I ain't even close to attractive, sheesh." Chanyeol scrunched up his nose in distaste, finding the window quite interesting.

"Oh you bet. Their faces look funny when they're shocked and all that." The guy eagerly nodded, withdrawing his smile once again. "We should do it some time, yeah?" Chanyeol wiggled his eyebrows playfully, pretty much hyped at the thought of bothering the Aphrodite campers. Though judging by his behavior, the lad might be scolded by their dad or something (as if that would happen), or maybe magically transformed into an animal by Aphrodite herself (which, he assumed was possible somewhat), since his indirect insults could already stab her children.

"Luna, huh?" Chanyeol's brows formed a crooked line. "Why Luna?" The guy leaned back, shifting his weight to his other foot. "Nah, it's okay! No need to be awkward, sissy." He flashed a grin, then patted her shoulder.

"Hmm, well since it's early in the morning, why don't we get some breakfast first?" He suggested, pointing his thumb to he direction of the dining pavilion.

@[G] Park Sunyoung Hearing her faint remark, Chanyeol smiled to himself. Gods, if only having a sister (or any form of family) like that, he might have been searching out there for his other siblings. She seemed to be a good person, and her resolve did come off harmless and non-hostile, for all he knows. It’s been a while since he had felt the warmth only people as close as family would give to him, and surely, he swore to himself that he’d make the best out of it.

The guy then started to take a his usual quick shower—shampoo, soap, toothbrush and all that—then came out from the bathroom fully dressed in his simple clothing as he dried his slightly long curly brown hair with his towel.

Chanyeol turned to face Sunyoung and grinned, “So, about the questions you had earlier..” The lad tried to recall as he neatly hung up his towel to dry, “Oh, right! Those Aphrodite dudes.” His nose scrunched up a little, his eyes squinting for as far as he remembered; he didn’t exactly have pleasant moments with those kids. “You might not wanna mess with them since Hephaestus and Aphrodite children are mostly like Tom and Jerry—oh, hey, don’t get me wrong, I don’t particularly ‘hate hate’ them, it’s just a bit awkward since our dad and their mom are, you know.. /married/” He shrugged, though after a little while a chuckle escaped his lips.

“Don’t mind those girls though, they’re harmless. But I sorta hate it when they actually tried to seduce me and all that.. eugh!” Chanyeol shuddered for a bit as the scene of which a daughter of the love goddess tried to flirt with him in her bikini one moment when he was completely innocent in making his way towards cabin nine. If only he was interested, but heck—he’s definitely not! “But if you ask me, popular or unpopular, setting up pranks on them’s always fun. I mean, their reactions are priceless, you know!” The tall guy leaned back slightly against a wall as his soft chuckles grew into heaps of laughter. “You won’t have a problem regarding them, trust me.”

Chanyeol then pushed himself away from the wall after his statement and slipped into his gladiator-styled slippers before making his way towards the smaller female. “So, I guess we’ll go ahead on the tour, yeah?” He seem to pretty much smile all the time ever since he met his half-sister, but nah, it wouldn’t be a problem if having a sister’s this cool, right? “Where’d you want to go, Sun? Wait, you don’t mind if I call you that?” He asked sheepishly, tilting his body slightly to look less tall since gods, craning up her neck like that wouldn’t be all that comfy.

“It’ll get too formal and weird if I kept calling you Sunyoung like—oh hey good morning, Sunyoung! Can you pass me the screwdriver, Sunyoung? Darn it, Sunyoung, a water nymph tore off my shorts when I was taking a swim in the lake. Agh, there’s a monster hurling towards me and I forgot my weapon, mind if you save my from danger, Sunyoung?—weird? I know! So yeah, I’ll call you that.” He declared while grinning, quite proud, and apparently did not even wait for her acknowledgement but who cares, he’s a cool brother anyway.

@[G] Park Sunyoung “Sunyoung.” He squeezed her hand lightly before withdrawing it. “Nice to meet you too!”

“And no, it’s not that strange.” Chanyeol patted his hand on top of her shoulder twice. “Trust me, that’s how I felt when I first entered the cabin.” He grinned. “Feeling something cozy in here, am I right? People usually wonder what part of cold metals, springs, screws and gears are cozy to us children of Hephaestus, but nah, they really don’t understand it.” He shrugged, making a sour face. “It’s like trying to understand why children of Aphrodite likes to pamper themselves despite how they all know that fighting monsters and saving gods might get a little dirty.” The guy chuckled to himself, remembering the time he pulled a classic ‘mud bucket’ prank on a guy from cabin ten as he tried to make a move on some girl who’s currently in deep affectionate terms with another guy.
“I didn’t mean it literally, silly!” The tall guy slightly snorted at her remark, and he sure understood how the girl would feel if they all treated her differently, and if he were on her shoes when that happens, he must’ve been awkward or something. “It’s that I can picture you as the ‘only’ adorable little sister we dudes can have and of course, you’re going to be special.” He scrunched his nose and ruffled her hair out of harmless brotherly affection. “Unless some half-sister of ours suddenly pops out of nowhere, you know.”

“Now, about your bunk.. Don’t worry, we have some extra ones at the back of the cabin, I’ll sort of need some hand there so maybe me and the guys can assemble it later on.” Chanyeol explained, his smile never leaving his face. “So, since you’re now here.. How about a tour—” The tall guy offered, only to realize that he was still in his pajamas and how his curly brown hair must’ve been a mess at the moment. “—after I fix myself, so you wait here while I brush my teeth and change into decent clothes.” He blurted out rather quickly as he ran towards his drawers and pulled out some shorts and a t-shirt before smiling carelessly at the girl and disappeared towards the bathroom.

@[G] Park Sunyoung Much to his surprise, the girl cracked up a grin the moment she saw him sprawled down the floor, with sheets wrapped around his tall frame like an oversized mummy. Chanyeol immediately flushed in embarrassment as the petite brunette asked if he would need any help. "Yeah, pretty much. But I can do this." He said, letting a soft chuckle escape his lips.

"You're new here, I suppose.." He murmured to himself while squirming his way to sit up, eyeing her in a less hostile manner. She's quite small, with a slightly tanned skin tone, long brownish black hair, and he had to admit, her smile was pretty charming. Chanyeol then tried to free his arms, and to his luck, he did. The tall guy then pushed himself up from the floor and stood up, slowly unwrapping himself from the thick blankets at the process.

Scratching his nape sheepishly, Chanyeol tossed the sheets into his bed and smiled at her. "Sorry about that, the sun's not usually a buddy of mine in mornings." He murmured, his grin widening. "But hey, welcome to cabin nine, dearest sister!" The tall guy spread his arms slightly, then let it fall down his thighs with a soft pat afterwards. "You're lucky, since you're the only girl here at the moment. You'll pretty much be the princess here that's for sure." He winked playfully, then turned his attention to his bed as he arranged his pillows and folded his blankets. "But you have nothing to worry about. The other guys are pretty nice, I don't know about me though." He joked, eyeing her, only to come to a realization.

"Oh, wait! I'm Chanyeol by the way. Park Chanyeol." The tall guy turned and faced her as he offered a hand for a shake.

Morning soon came and rays of blinding sunlight tore against his skin, making Chanyeol lose every ounce of comfort left in his body. Sure he's the son of the fire god and all, but heck, he surely hated it when heat bothers him in the middle of his peaceful slumber. Stirring from his bunk, the tall guy found himself entirely wrapped around in thick blankets as he rolled over to the other side of the bed. Much to his surprise (and irritation), the sun shone directly to his face that his hand shot out cover him from the light while bolting upright, and apparently, found his way stumbling down to the floor with a loud thud.

"Doing this again to me, huh, Apollo?" Chanyeol murmured huskily, with a huge frown masked his morning face. The guy then tried to wiggle his way out of those tangled sheets until he noticed that he wasn't the only one left inside the cabin. Tilting his head up slightly, he noticed an unfamiliar face gawking at him nearby, and it sure earned him a mental slap from his sanity at the process.

Flashing a crooked grin, he stirred in his place once again before he spoke, "Good morning."
