@✨ son dongwoon She watched as he stood from his chair. Needed time to himself? It had been a month ever since they had actually had a proper date. How much more time did he need? “How much more time do you need, Woon? I’m so tired of staying up at night wondering why you keep avoiding me.”

Yes, maybe her words were unreasonable but these thoughts were picking away at her sanity. It killed her on the inside.

His next words made Nahee feel....utterly and completely horrible. She could feel her heart drop into her stomach. Did he really think that way? Her gaze lowered to the floor as she could see that her eyes were filling with tears. If she didn’t leave now, then it was possible that she would have broken down right in front of him. “.....S-So you are saying that you’ve lost feelings for me?” It was hard not to trip over on her own words. She wondered how long he had felt this way.

Her heart was shattering. There was an u settling feeling in her entire body. “I’ll just get out of your ing hair then. Take all the time you need for yourself, Dongwoon. You’ll have plenty of it, I’m sure.” She stood from her chair, preparing herself to walk out of the door. Out of his life.

@✨ kim nahee "Nothing", he groaned out. "How many times do I have to tell you that it's literally nothing and I just need some time to myself?"

In the next few seconds, she had started to be irrational. Again. It rarely happened and usually, he let it pass, but he already knew this was only going to go into a downward spiral of anger with a fallout of regret and sadness. At this point, he didn't really care. He stood up from his seat, stepped away as she rambled on, and hoped she would shut up soon.

He could only stare at her, perhaps, completely filled with anger despite the silence he allowed to come between them. But then, he still decided to speak.

"Nahee, let's be real. Who wouldn't really lose feelings at this point? Who wouldn't rather spend time with someone else when they obviously seem to offer better conversations than this one?"

Right, he was aware he went too far. Perhaps his words were insidious with an empty tone, a tonic of poison for the already dying state of their relationship.

@✨ son dongwoon The simple little retort didn’t really muse Nahee. She just couldn’t get over this enthralling feeling in her lower abdomen. A sigh escaped her lips as she looked over to him. “No. We can’t put this talk further back. I want to know why you are always avoiding me. Is there something wrong? Is there anything that I can do to help?” She was desperate for an answer at this point.

[ci]Being.....emotional again? His words sent her blood boiling, and the feeling in her stomach had erupted throughout her body. “Are you ing kidding me? Being emotional? I just want to know why you keep avoiding me! Oh I see. Are you losing feelings for me? Is there someone else that you would rather spend time with? I-Is there already someone else? I need answers!” She could feel her heart dropping into the pit of her stomach. Her own words were hurting her. Just the thought of the two splitting up just made her want to bawl on the spot.

@✨ kim nahee "Must've been drunk," Dongwoon mused, letting a short laugh fall from his lips. Yet, even after that, the silence that seemed to bellow into his ears only proved that there wasn't anything he could do to change the heavy atmosphere that surrounded them.

Just like he assumed, eventually, Nahee went directly to the point. Did he really have a valid explanation as to why he kept on avoiding her? Well, it was valid. Perfectly valid even, if he were to think about it.

'I was too tired and too empty to do anything'. Simple. He could've said simply just that but as he continued to tap his fingers onto the table, as he contemplated just what to say- perhaps, the earlier events finally caught up to him. "Listen, can we just put this talk further back? Can we just enjoy this for now?"

And then a sigh. How many times must he say that he wasn't in the mood, or apologize because he didn't really have enough energy left to do anything? He wouldn't lie about it, he was starting to get irritated. "I think I've told you what you needed to know a lot of times before. Are you really sure you're not being emotional again?"

@✨ son dongwoon Hearing his hum, she could see the hesitation in his eyes. She wanted to find out what was going on. The tray was almost enough to distract her, but she wouldn’t be fooled today. As Dongwoon pulled the cart inside, she followed him shortly after towards the table. “Ah. I see.” She quietly sighed as she took a seat, glancing around more.

The tension between them was enough to make Nahee mentally slam her head on the table. It was killing her. “Work was it’s usual. Yelling at kids to not run around the pool, stopping people from literally ing in the kiddie pool. I’ve seen better days.” She ran a hand through her dark hair, hoping to relieve herself of some stress.

She looked to the treats, trying to just resist her temptation. “Why have you been canceling our plans- even on days that you didn’t have work. I just would like to have an explanation.” She tilted her head a bit, waiting for his answer.

@✨ kim nahee Dongwoon only hummed in return, as if to contemplate his answer to the query that had been thrown at him too early within the few minutes of their meeting. She didn't really seem like she was here to waste time, much to his dismay - add that the question was a shallow yet direct jab to the subject he wanted to avoid. He glanced over to her, then the fruit-filled sandwich as his hand reached over to the cart to pull it closer to the small table in the room.

"Work was... work. You know, the usual," he muttered, pulling out the seats for them to take. A shrug followed his words, hoping to push back the topic than make it longer - treats were in front of them after all. Taking one of the seats for himself, he picked up the knife that came with the cart, transferred the plate to the table, and started to cut the snack into two triangles.

Arguments were definitely not part of his plans to spend the day off he just received, so he hoped that these gifts were enough to assuage whatever pent up anger Nahee had that built up from the past days. He patted the empty seat beside him, gesturing for the other to follow with his head turning towards hers. "How was yours though?"

@✨ son dongwoon As she patiently waited, she had been trying to calm herself. It was not hard to feel angry, though. He had canceled literally any plans that she would offer. Even when he had nothing to do, he still canceled. She managed to take a few deep breaths before the door opened. She smiled a bit, seeing her love standing right in front of her. "Hi baby."

The rolling of a cart had distracted her for a moment. seeing all the food being delivered to their room, along with the sweet little note, she guessed that some of the staff wanted the two to spend some time alone together. "Yeah. everything looks delicious." This would give her a chance to at least ask Woon why he wasn't wanting to spend time with her. She would have to keep in mind that he knew her weaknesses when it came to arguments, so if they were to get into anything, she would want to stand her ground.

Nahee helped with pushing the cart inside of the others room. It was always tidy, so there was an easy place to just park the cart with all of the sweet treats for the two. "How was work, baby?"

He'd already guessed that the person to knock on the door would be Nahee. The countless amounts of excuses he had been spewing out of his mouth the past few days were bound to have her hold him for some questioning.

Lies had left a bitter aftertaste in his tongue. Although it was only completely in his mind, the sensation he felt whenever the thought of his actions came was one driven by the ugly feeling of guilt that crept at the very back of his head.

It wasn't that he didn't want to spend time with the other, but rather, he didn't want to have any of his negativity be shown in the light. He didn't want to talk about his feelings and usually, those would die out anyway so he had no reason to be so open about it. All his excuses were there so that he could avoid talking about the pressure he felt, but now, there was only one obstacle that gave him distance from the impending fate that he so tried to push back: the door.

Perhaps, the only option left was to give in.

"Hey, babe". He greeted his lover with a smile adorning his features. The one he wore somehow lacked the usual vigor it had, held back by the same fingers of guilt that haunted his thoughts at the sight of her. No, she didn't really deserve all of the things he had said but was he at the right mind to admit that? No.

Just as he thought that his excuses finally ran out, there was Dahyun, bringing over a surfeit of what he assumed were gifts: a sandwich, milkshake, and some flowers along with a note on a tray. Leaving just as quick as she arrived, he was just able to mutter a thank you to the younger before his smile turns into one more evident with nervousness as he picked up the note and showed it to Nahee. "Do you wanna go inside to eat these?"

Maybe he could still squeeze through the remaining time he had after all.

@✨ son dongwoon The sounds of her shoes was the only thing Nahee could hear, other than her loud, pounding heart. Her hair was slightly damp thanks to the shower he had taken after she had done all her hours for work. Her muscles were slightly aching, due to the amount of swimming she had to do. The ignorance of people sometimes. They just cant read apparently, due to the fact she had to save more than five people from drowning at the pool. Of course, she was on her way to Dongwoon's dorm.

After a long day, she would happily make her way to her boyfriend's room so they could just make up for the time they hadn't spent together. This time was different though. She was a little...upset. She had been trying to make plans with Woon lately, but he could always find some sort of excuse to not come and spend time with her. It was hard not to feel mad about it. She stood outside the door, knocking at least three times before waiting patiently.

@✨ kim nahee The gentle ticks from the clock were the only sound that Dongwoon could hear, one situated on the other side of the dorm room as he sat up on his bed. His eyes were busy reading over an article he blindly tapped on in hopes that it could give him some time to think about how to expertly waste his break time from work. Quite tired, to summarize and soften up how he was currently feeling.

Cooking was something he enjoyed, but truly, he didn't expect that, if he were to do it for a show, he'd be more bored yet still be under pressure at the same time. Perhaps it was better that he only cooked for himself in the end; a choice he'd taken a mental note of.
