@b andy “As a matter-of-fact I was. Maybe I have a girlfriend that wants to visit me, hm?” It was a lie, Hoseok was in no kind of relationship, and Rose probably already caught onto it. His home didn’t have the touch of a woman and with his messaging her instead, it possibly showed just how alone he often was. A girlfriend would be in the hospital sitting with him the moment he went in, or noticed before the week was up that he had a wound that should have resulted in him being in the hospital. “And no, you ain’t exciting at all. You seem like the type of person that the fun out of everything.” The bedridden male made a face as if to emphasize on how fun-less she was. Or at least how little fun she saw her. She killed people for God’s sake. Nothing fun about that!
“Yeah, yeah, thanks for giving me a whole bouquet. Guess that means that I am alive for now.” He played with the petals of one of the roses, absentmindedly rubbing the velvety texture between his fingers. Why did she give him that pass anyway? Was it really stating her name that made Rose not kill him? She could have easily gone back on her promise to him, plus, all he did was prevent her from being ed. There was no bigger picture...or was there? Is it possible that she had done something that would place her on the list of Aureo Rosa? “Pretty sure you make more money than I can currently imagine with your job. Maybe you should be the one giving me money instead.” He knew that she wasn’t being serious, but even if she were, then she would have been tracked for it. He didn’t believe she was that stupid either way.
“Yes, my mom.” Hoseok waited for the girl to tell him exactly what she told the front desk. He and Rose looked nothing like family, so if she had dared to say that she was his sibling, then the secretary at the lobby must be blind and stupid. Of course, he did not have to wait long, as his mother came barging in hollering about his supposed engagement. “Wait. What?” Immediately his dark eyes flickered to Rose, shooting her such an intense glare. God he was ed, so ed.
His eyebrows rose at the new name, “Andy?” He asked with a confused tone. Did she give an alias up front, didn’t they check her I.D? The security in this place was such . “It is such a pleasure to meet you, Andy. If only my son told me he had a /girlfriend/ let alone was planning on getting /married/.” Mrs. Jung said with a snippy tone, her dark eyes, much like her son’s, bore holes through his head. “Why are you giving your fiance that look? Are you upset that I found out?! My only son doesn’t even trust me to know he’s getting MARRIED,” her voice shook as she took a hold of Rose-Andy’s hands. “Was he not sure a beautiful girl like you would say yes? Oh, I know how nervous he gets with girls.”
Hoseok groaned from his place on the bed, wanting more than anything to turn to his side, away from the both of them. “I don’t even have a girlfriend, Mom. This girl is just annoying and following me around like a stalker. Of course, I would tell you if I were dating!” His face turned red from being frustrated over the matter, his hands slapping against the bed. His statement only resulted in Mrs. Jung giving him another dirty look and going on about how he was such a disrespectful soon-to-husband and how bad she felt for poor Andy. “Oh my God,” the man moaned in despair, his eyes going back to the boring T.V. “I thought you came here because I got put into the hospital, not to yell at me over some girl I don’t even know.”
At that statement, well, the beginning part, Mrs. Jung rushed to her son, patting him down, suddenly going into hysterics over remembering why she came. “Do you hurt darling? Oh, my little boy!” At this Hoseok sighed, wincing at the way his mother manhandled his sore body. Maybe it was better for her to continue to yell at him.
‘I hate you,’ he mouthed at Andy, trying his best to avoid his mother’s affections.
@b andy (okay so like? I didn't get a notif for this. And then I didn't realize you switched to hospital SO I WAS FREAKING OUT THINKING THAT I IMAGINED THE WHOLE ING PLOT OR THAT IT GOT DELETED. but yeah here i am)
@j hoseok “Easy target?” She scoffed. “Oh boy, you really shouldn’t underestimate someone like me. Didn’t my tattoos warn you not to play with me? A shy, young girl would have never gotten those.” She hated people underestimating her just because she was a woman, or even just a girl in some people’s eyes. Andy had worked hard to get the respect that she deserved and she wouldn’t have anyone with that, especially not a pimp from Aureo Rosa.
****
“You expected someone else? Too bad.” She commented. “Excited for no reason? Ain’t I exciting?” Andy rolled her eyes as she sat down, placing her feet on the edge of his bed. “You only assume the worst of me, don’t you?” She hadn’t even thought about him talking mostly because she was sure that he wouldn’t dare risk his life. By now he should have known that Andy wasn’t the type of woman to with. He should have learned that years ago when trying to turn her into a e. Now it was already the second mark that she left on him, there wouldn’t be a third warning, only one that ended deadly.
Andy smirked as he commented about the roses. “It’s my trademark. I would have left petals on you too that night if I could have finished my job.” It wasn’t something that she should have told him but even with that information there was nothing he could do about it. The news had broadcasted about the rose killer before but the police had been way too stupid to solve the case. She loved to play with danger but there was barely any fun in it since they wouldn’t catch her anyways. Nonetheless, she made sure not to say any words connected to her job, the walls had ears and it would have been too close to a confession. “I never leave bouquets, you can feel special.”
“Was to kill you? Are you hallucinating? Why would I ever try to do that?” She smirked. As he laid back her eyes turned to look out of the window. “Good boy. You should have given me the cards, I need new shoes.” Somehow it made her wonder why he had tried so hard to look like he got mugged. No one would have cared about the details and it would have been the perfect chance to somehow still spill the truth and try to get her into jail. Was he that scared of being attacked a second time?
“Your mom? Oh, I told them---” Andy was interrupted by the door being pushed open without a knock. Suddenly there was a woman standing right in the room who looked oddly familiar to Hoseok. Was she his mother? “Jung Hoseok, why didn’t you tell me that you are engaged?!” Andy took her feet from the edge of the bed, she straightened her position right as the woman’s gaze hit her. “Wait, is this her?” She asked eyeing Andy strangely. “Hello, Mrs. Jung.” She got up from her chair and bowed lightly. This was going to be fun. “What did they say was your name? Xiao Andy?” Andy nodded. She had used her correct first name but changed her last. One of the many fakes that she had.
“Yes, I’m your son’s fiancée. Didn’t he tell you about us? I can’t believe it, Hoseok.” She scolded him barely able to hide the grin that wanted to play along her lips, though she managed to.
@b andy Hoseok had no explanation regarding /why/ the guy was stupid enough to offer his legal name. Maybe if Hoseok had been on the same idiocy level as him, he would understand. “Maybe he just figured it wouldn’t matter. Why would it, if I am dead? But other than that, I have zero explanation regarding something like that. He had always been a bit...um...slow.”
Her joke did make him laugh, though, the action caused his stomach muscles to clench, making pain flare in the area. The smile fell quickly, the pain apparent on his features. “Possibly. He was a scouter before I was and never did move up in his rankings. You wouldn’t like that either right? Maybe he thought I was showing off or something.” Other than that, Hoseok had no idea why he would be targeted. And even-so, it was the stupidest and most petty reason a person would want something so terrible.
He couldn’t imagine how horrible his parents would have felt if their only child was murdered.
“Well, yeah. At the time, I had just turned eighteen and thought that, since you were smaller than me, you were an easy target. Honestly though, that was an enlightening experience for me. Taught me to not underestimate someone so small.” After that day, Hoseok had always been a bit more careful around the women, making sure that they were not someone to be trifled with. Of course, he also should have seen it, she did have a more aggressive personality. However, she was one of the first people that he tried to scout.
Hoseok snorted when she returned the bag to him, watching as she went to the door. He figured she would say something along those lines. But understanding how serious she was about her job, Hoseok highly doubted that her name was Rose.

It was boring in the hospital. There was nothing to do but sit there and stare at either his phone or the TV with ty channels. Even their wi-fi service absolute and his phone’s data wasn’t working as well as he would like. He could read things and send messages, but that got boring real quick. Hoseok didn’t have too many friends who were readily available to speak to. Even his mother was a bit flaky when it came to sending texts. She was concerned about his being in the hospital, but she still had to work. She should be out soon enough and he hoped she brought him something fun to do...or even have some juicy gossip to tell him. His mother /always/ had juicy gossip.
He was fiddling around with the IV, contemplating if he should try and get up to use the bathroom or not when he heard the door to his room open. “Hey mo-” His words cut short when he took in the tattooed girl that graced him with her presence. “Oh it’s you. Got excited for no reason.” If it had been his mother, she would have been the promise of some possibly delicious snacks.
“What are you doing here? Came to make sure I’m not talking?” Hoseok resumed fiddling with the IV clasp. He was told to not get up without a nurse, but that was highly embarrassing for him, especially with Rose right there. “Oh, thank you?” The flowers were surprising, though they did make him snicker when he saw just what kind they were. “Is this a way for you to want me to think about you even when you leave or something? The wound was enough to do so.”
He took the flowers from her, inspecting them carefully. “Who knew that someone that was to kill me is concerned about my life. No, I wasn’t going to die though. I am too stubborn for that, and I can’t take the idea of how hurt my mom and dad would be.” The flowers were placed onto his lap as he looked her dead in the eye. “I am fine, just a minor inconvenience to have to be sitting here. And if you’re wondering, I told them I couldn’t see my attackers face. I also got rid of my wallet and cards to make my claims more believable.” Hoseok laid back in his pillows, finally deciding against using the restroom.
“I thought only family members could come to a patient’s room. Did you say you were my sister or something? The front desk will be confused if they make mention to it when my mom arrives.”
@l ten the moment the stranger entered the room, hyunjin realized he had been holding his breath, exhaling softly upon seeing someone come to his rescue for the first time in his life. the heart that had hoped and prayed that the other would have been long gone was slowly being replaced by one of gratitude, coming to terms with the great debt he felt he owed the other.
never in his life had someone come to save him. no matter how many times he cried, begged, broke down, every one of his pleas were ignored and over the years, he had lost all will to even speak up in his times of need. until now.
as he looked up into the other's eyes, something in him seemed to well up from the depths of his soul. the naive self of his past was, the desperate and terrified child inside was finally having his walls broken down as he reached out, hands trembling, and gripped onto the other.
it seemed almost impossible. how could the male in front of him protect him? especially when the two of them were outnumbered. but there was something in the other's voice, the raw determination and sincerity that led hyunjin to want to trust him. for the first time in the longest time, he was reminded of the feeling of hope.
"help me," he whispered, his voice small and scared. "please."
@j hoseok Her eyes sparkled as Hoseok commented about how he rather wanted to die. “I can still finish that job.” She commented with an evil grin stuck to her lips. Though it wasn’t the best idea to kill him in his apartment when the guy in the lobby had seen them enter the building together. Nonetheless, she knew that the male wasn’t serious and also only joked herself. Her eyes pierced through his as he seemed to examine her. She didn’t like being scared at and was glad as the male moved from the mirror. Otherwise the shared looks would have been close to being awkward.
As the name Aureo Rosa was dropped, Andy flinched lightly just at the thought of the boss of the gang and her past with him. “Why would he be so dumb and give his real name?” She asked, seriously confused by how someone could be such an idiot. “Could be, or maybe you were a head that annoyed him so much that he wants to see you dead.” She commented. Her eyes rolled at his not wanting to be touched by her. Idiot. She couldn’t say much about it, Andy freaked out at touches herself and this man had all reasons to be scared of her getting close to him. “He will die then, I’ll take care of him” Andy said as the male revealed who her client was. She had tried to push all these memories about Aureo Rosa far back into her mind. It was also the reason for not recognizing Hoseok from back then. “Your own fault for trying to lay your hands on me. Do I look like some weak, scared woman to you?” She scoffed.
"Be a doll yourself, honey." Andy said as she didn’t take the bag from him. She wasn’t his housemaid. “You know my name already.” She said with a wink before turning around and leaving the apartment.

The days went by without any major incidents. There was no mission for her which had Andy rather bored. She didn’t like the quietness when there was nothing to do. It were those times when she remembered that she should really get herself a job in the normal world to not faint from boredom. However, nothing had ever caught her interested as much as being an assassin. At least she could use the quiet time for training but slicing the throat of a puppet open just wasn’t as much fun.
Andy was surprised as a text message reached her some days later. One from Hoseok who she had texted with very shortly after leaving because she had been that bored. A few days at the hospital? God, that sounded really ing bad. Had the cut been that deep? Or was it because the stitching wasn’t as sanitary even with disinfecting the needle with her lighter? ‘You owe me’, his words replayed in her head and had her groan in frustration. She felt obligated to check on him even though she really didn’t want to get close to any public institution. They would catch her easily if he accused her. In the end, she decided to go either way. Andy didn’t reply the text message since she decided to go the same day. Wouldn’t be a surprise otherwise.
Once she reached the hospital, Andy took a deep breath still thinking about leaving again and spending her day differently. There was no need for her to care, right? However, her code was sacred to her so she decided to stick to her promise until she would have returned the favour. The receptionist told her the room number after she had left her name, a fake one obviously. The hospital had a flower store, a smug grin appeared on her lips as she saw the red roses there deciding to buy them as a joke.
As she reached found the right room, she knocked on the door. Once she heard him tell her to come in, she did hiding her face behind the bouquet of roses. “Missed me?” She asked once she reached the bed and revealed her face. “For you.” Andy placed the roses on his lap and then sat down on the chair next to the bed. “How bad is it?” That moment had her realize once more that she was at fault for him being stuck her, for another scar being left on his body. “I’m glad you didn’t die.” She said being serious for once and radiating that through her gaze. Andy actually felt sorry, even though she couldn’t really tell why.
@h minhyun why is it that they can stand here and pretend that their mess of a relationship hadn't affected them in the slightest? it's something quite amazing, shinwon thinks, to know that despite the terrifying threat that minhyun had placed upon him, both of them can still stand here and speak like civil adults. but he's well aware that minhyun wears a mask that many overlook. who knows what kind of dark thoughts the surgeon is harboring now?
as for shinwon, he's not thinking very much. he thought he'd be more terrified, or more angry, or more heartbroken on the off chance that he ever encountered minhyun again — but he feels nothing.
"hasn't been that long yet," shinwon responds, blowing out yet another puff of smoke. oddly enough, he recalls that minhyun had used to love the smell of this particular brand. "who knows if i'll even be alive then?"
he's absent minded, choosing to lean against the railings as he looks minhyun up and down — does he miss him? maybe. probably. despite minhyun's ed up fantasies and desires, he'd found something of a solace in someone that was for once, more insane than he was. he'd found solace in minhyun, in the way his eyes lit up at the slightest mention of violence, or pain. but the man brought out a side in shinwon that he couldn't face, despite the nights he'd spent beating people to a pulp with his fists. no, minhyun was a different kind of sadist — one that was infinitely more terrifying than shinwon would ever dare to be.
and yet, here he is now, acting as if nothing had happened between them.
"you look good," shinwon admits, as if the man has ever looked anything but impeccable. "carved anyone up lately?"
@h hyunjin “Here’s his room,” announced the nurse as she gestured to the door they now stood before, her head lowered as she continued, “He might not be awake so soon.”
Ten merely smiled at the female, shaking his head as he raised a hand. “It’s fine, I can wait. Thank you for showing me the way. I’ll see myself out after this.”
The nurse flashed him a polite smile and gave him a quick but low bow before walking away, going back to her work at the reception counter. Ten watched her leave for a moment, only turning his attention back to the ward entrance he was currently in front of after the latter had turned the corner and disappeared from sight. His palm landed on the handle of the sliding door, and right before he pushed the door open, he lifted his head and looked through the narrow window.
His body froze, brows furrowing in confusion as he watched the men inside the ward.
They were wearing dark outfits, and Ten judged their height to be rather tall (but then again, he was relatively short for a male to begin with), physique ranging from slightly chubby to straight up burly. They surrounded the hospital bed in which the stranger was on, hands in pockets as they slowly neared the man, the looks on their faces that of pure predatory. Then, his focus was brought to the male on the bed — the look of pure terror on the youthful face, the manner in which he curled in on himself, as if trying to get away from the world.
Ten didn’t think twice when he shoved the sliding door to the side, sending it banging and catching the acknowledgement of the few strange men.
“Ah, sorry. I didn’t know there were visitors in here already,” mused Ten with a natural calm, a serene smile plastered on his profile as he entered the room, closing the door in a much gentler notion than when he opened it. He approached the bed, feeling the eyes on him but it was easy for him to shrug them off, clearly unperturbed. He came to a halt beside the male, the smile on his face this time genuine, no more a cold instinctive upwards of the lips.
“Are you okay?” Ten asked, voice soft and gentle, though the words were heavy, as if beneath those words laid a promise — ‘I’ll chase them away if you need me to’.
@l ten he didn't know when he had passed out but he sat up in a cold sweat, panting for air as if he had been trapped in a horrid nightmare. the haze of sleep slowly leaving him, he managed to become aware of his surroundings as he looked around the room, realizing he had been brought to the hospital. an iv drip in his arm and his wound bandaged up, it seemed as if the stranger hadn't heeded his desperate words of warning. though, as hyunjin sat up and gingerly grazed his fingers across his waist, he felt a small sense of gratitude.
it seemed as though he was always caught between needing to live and wanting to die. despite his sister's refusal to allow him into her life, he felt as if providing money for her was his small purpose and he used that to cling onto life no matter how ty things got. no matter how much he just wanted to let go.
he decided he needed to give his thanks to the stranger. hoping that he was still there, hyunjin clutched the iv pole as he shifted to the side of the bed, moving slowly as to not aggravate his wound further. before he could hop off, he heard the curtains surrounding his bed open and turned, expecting his rescuer to be in front of him. he couldn't have been more wrong.
"thought you could get away from us that easy, princess?"
. the desire to meet the stranger disappeared in an instant, now praying that he was far away from this hospital as hyunjin faced his attackers, completely defenseless.
it's the first thing that comes to his mind and minhyun does not understand why he aches at the thought. hasn't he gotten over him already? hasn't he already poured all of his feelings through ways no sane man could understand? and yet, he still seems to be longing for the man who had ran away from him about a year ago - all because he was a monster.
he still /is/ a monster; he acknowledges that.
"hello," minhyun says. his nose twitches at the scent of smoke and burnt cigarette - of home.
home? his mind echoes briefly and his brows furrow at the sudden resurfacing of the memories he had with the man before him. he's tried to push into the deepest recesses of his mind, has he not?
"you still smoke, i see," he continues despite the pain that those memories inflict on him at the moment. "your lungs will turn the blackest in 20 years give or take."
how could he not, when that soft timbre is one that haunts his dreams and nightmares alike? the moment his heart drops in his chest is a moment he's thought about, time and time again — because truthfully, he'd had absolutely no idea how his reaction to seeing this man again would be (god forbid they found each other, though). yet, here he is, and even in the moment, shinwon still doesn't know what his reaction should be. he can't make sense of the turmoil of emotions whirring in his chest.
but still, he can't exactly just run away this time.
shinwon turns to see minhyun standing there, in the flesh, and his heart aches at how the man hasn't changed, even after so long. but if he truly hasn't changed, then shinwon should be terrified, shouldn't be?
terror isn't a good emotion on him, so instead, shinwon simply blows out a puff of smoke, masking his relief and fear at seeing the man he'd once given himself to. "hey."
@k shinwon minhyun does not smoke, no. however, he does like the smell of burnt cigarette wafting through the air, likes the smell of mint admixed with dried nicotine and tobacco leaves. he, especially, likes the scent of the brand that shinwon uses - that particular one he can smell from where he's standing.
the doctor inhales openly and allows himself to remember the past for a tiny moment. minhyun remembers that man's laugh, the one he always failed to respond to with one of his own. he remembers that messy hair, that sharp nose, the broadest shoulders his arms have ever encircled in his life. it's the same build, the same messy hair he sees leaning against the railings when he opens his eyes. how he's come to see that view again, minhyun does not know.
but even before he can stop himself, he's already croaking out the name of the man he thought he'll never see again. "shinwon?"
@h minhyun it's quite ironic that despite his estranged relationship with his parents, he finds himself here now, their main source of support. unsurprisingly, shinwon's father had collapsed after yet another night of drinking, and after a tearful phone call from his mother, shinwon had begrudgingly made his way to the hospital.
a waste of time, really. the old man is fine.
shinwon exits his father's hospital room, mood soured after seeing both his parents' faces after so long. is he worried about them? not really — they'd disowned him long ago, and seeing them now only leaves a bad taste in his mouth, one that he wants to take away with a smoke.
"rooftop should be good..." he mumbles to himself, taking the stairs to the roof of the hospital. luckily, the door isn't locked, and shinwon walks over to the edge of the roof deck, leaning against the railings and lighting his cigarette. the night sky is pretty, he thinks, but his mind is far too clouded to truly appreciate the beauty in front of him.
@k jiwon () it's perfectly fine babe lmao i was much later LOLOLOL OTL
the wait was pure torture. ten had no idea at all whether his baby girl was going to make it, or if something went wrong on the operation table. he tried to calm himself and force the terrifying thoughts away, but every attempt he made was in vain as his mind cruelly brought him back to reality, once more sending him down into a spiral of anxiety.
hours felt like centuries to the father, his brain playing tricks on himself and taunting him with the possibility of losing his one and only ray of light. he didn't even realise the few stray tears that started to cascade down his cheeks until he felt a drop hitting his wrist, blinking in confusion at the sensation. he had never been so worried in his life, to the point that he was crying.
the moment the light went off above the operation room, ten leaped up from his seat and rushed up to the exiting surgeon, nodding his head a tad too frantically upon hearing his name being addressed. "yes, that's me. how's ray? where's my daughter? is she okay? please tell me nothing severe happened!"
@h hyunjin as the piercing siren of an ambulance neared, ten continued to apply pressure on the wound, not enough to hurt but just right to decrease the flow of blood exiting the body. he snapped his attention to the injured male when he felt a hand clutching onto his shoulder tightly, as if conflicting between shoving him away or tugging him closer. his brows furrowed in worry and confusion, listening to the boy's rambling as he tried to structure a comprehensible sentence, though the ringing sound of the ambulance only seemed to drown out whatever warning he was trying to tell him.
"it's okay, you'll be safe," comforted ten finally; though still unsure of the concern and panic the stranger had for his well-being, his words came out more sincere and promising than it should.
maybe he meant what he said.
ten followed the ambulance to the hospital, wanting to make sure that the male was okay, unaware of the men following his car as he drove. when he arrived, he immediately asked for the stranger's whereabouts, relief washing over him after receiving news that the boy would be fine. after slight paperwork, ten was allowed to meet the treated man, being led to the ward where the male was.
he just needed to make sure the man was fine before returning home.
@l ten The young girl was rushed in on a gurney, and having received news that a patient was coming in, a small child, who had been struck by a car. It was quite sad how many patients in the city were hit by cars. Jiwon was immediately in the prep room for surgery, washing his hands putting gloves on, and of course a mask. The damage done from the oncoming vehicle had admitted the young girl into an emergency surgery.
And so it began, a little girls life was in the hands of Kim Jiwon, and as a part of his job, he had to do everything he could to save her. His steady hands doing the craft work as he breathed slowly, occasionally giving out orders and asking for different insturments to perform the task. That and the beeping of the heart monitor was the only sounds constant in the room.
Hours had passed, and Jiwon was finally out of surgery stiching the young girl back up and cleaning himself up after words. He had stepped out into the waiting room where the nurses had said that the father of the girl was waiting. "Mr. Leechaiyakul." He had greeted the male in attention.
[Sorry this is late! I also hope this response was okay ! ^^; ]
@k jiwon cold, unrelenting fear gripped his throat and flooded his chest overwhelmingly as he charged into the hospital, frantic gaze scanning the lobby and barely registering the looks he was receiving for seeming so haggard. his image could be damned, he just wanted to make sure his baby girl was okay.
the kindergarten teacher called him in a fit of hysteria and informed him of the accident his daughter encountered — his little ray running up to the road to pick up a helpless turtle, only to be hit by an oncoming car. the way his heart hit his gut was indescribable, and he broke many traffic laws to reach the hospital. he needed to make sure his baby daughter was okay.
the nurses needed to calm him when he rushed up to the reception and demanded to see his daughter, soon being brought to the emergency room the doctors were operating on her. he was scared, his usually stoic and reserved pretense crumbling apart at the face of death, the grim reaper threatening to whisk ray away. he was near tears during the wait, unable to sit for long before he was pacing again, wiping his hands on his pants as he continually produced cold sweat.
@l ten Mew stared on Ten, full of doubts. Ten is a normal citizen living next door who love his daughter as much as Mew love Rain and at this point, Mew could do better than him but his instinct told him to followed what Ten suggested. "I don't have anything else." He told him the truth. The hospital wanted him for the surgery and nothing else and Rain is his top priority right now. "Wait for me in the car." He said, dashing off to the night duty room where his clothes and bags were. Changed into T-shirt and jeans in a flash, he his GPS and sent his location to a hitman he knew as a backup, in case something happened to both Mew and Ten.
Mew is a pro on the surgery table but for physical one, he knew one or two tricks but not enough to take them all down. Rushed back to the lobby, he spotted Ten car across the street and got himself inside. "We need to hurry. You know Rain has an asthma and he needs to eat on time." Mew worried if his asthma relapses in time like this and the thoughts of losing his only son who he revived 4 years ago pained him. Clenching his fist tight, he's determinded for the kidnappers to paid off whatever he did to their children.
@s mew Ten shook his head no in response to the question on whether he knew the men, letting Mew snatch his phone from his grasp while trying to call back the number. His hands clenched into fists, nails digging into tender flesh and leaving indents, pressure forceful to the point his skin gave way and blood started to seep. He watched as Mew cursed when he realised he couldn’t call back the number, walking forward to take the phone away from him.
“We’ll get them,” assured Ten, trying his best to tame the anger in him. The fire burning within him could be contained, but not for long. “I don’t know where they’re being held, but I may know someone who could find out the location.” He glanced to Mew. “You should get yourself a lift for the rest of the day. This might take a while.” He nodded to the hospital entrance, eyes determined as he continued, “I’ll be waiting at my car, it’s across the street. Tell your boss that you need a day off, unless you have any more surgeries to take care of afterwards?” He raised a brow quizzically. “If not, I’ll meet you outside.”
@l ten Seeing the frustration, anger and fury on Ten's face, uneasiness creeped in and his instinct told him that something happened with Rain and Ray. Without words, Ten tapped on his phone and showed him a message from unknown number with a video of both Rain and Ray crying their heart out loud, calling Mew and Ten names in desperation before an unknown male came to the screen and told them about money and the safety of their children. His fist clenched tight as he watched the video, blood boiled with anger, ready to cut open those unknown male. "Who the are they? Do you know where are they?" He questioned but snatched his phone in a second and called the unknown number. Unfortunately it's a burner phone and couldn't be contacted. "!" Mew cursed. The video of Rain calling for him name lingered inside his mind and he swore to cut open, stabbed his heart and never closed his body and dumped it whereever he wanted to.
"I'll kill that bastard with my own hand. We need to find them. Do you know where or how?" Mew wouldn't spent a single penny on those bastard, instead, he would pay it with his life in exchange for messing with a wrong person.
@s mew Ten had never felt this way before. Before Ray, he was cold and ruthless, almost robotic, practically didn’t feel anything. After finding his ray of sun, suddenly there was hope, and for the first time since forever, he actually felt something.
Now, with his hope gone, ugly feelings started to settle in his chest. Panic, fear, but most of all, /wrath/. He was /angry/ and ready to kill, eyes dangerously seeing red and only that hue.
Hearing footsteps rushing up to him, Ten lifted his gaze, making eye contact with the surgeon. His arm dropped to his side, now that Mew was in front of him. He had so much on his mind to say, the urge to scream his heart out so tempting — yet, he did none of that.
Instead, he brought his phone up once more, tapping into a recent text message he received from an unknown number. There was a video attached, and he played it for Mew to watch.
Rain and Ray could be found huddled together, small faces streaked with tears and full of fear. They were calling for their respective parent, so afraid of their surroundings, so confused on what was happening. A masked man came into view then and he announced, “If you do not bring us our money, your children will get it. You have twenty-four hours, or else you won’t see your children again.”
@l ten "Stitch him up nicely, I'll let you handle the rest."
Mew announced before he walked out from the surgery theatre, taking off his latex gloves, headcap and mask before threw it to the trashbin. It's been a long time since hospital called him for a surgery. It's a complicated and high risk one, of course the hospital didn't want to taint their reputation and called on him instead when Mew supposed to be with Rain in the amusement park, at least Ray was there to accompany Rain.
Taking out his phone, Mew frowned as Ten's name display on his screen. Pressing the green button, he put it on his ear. "Hel-" before a proper greetings, Ten already greeted him with profanities and cursing words while Mew trying his best to guess what the hell his neighbour said about. The word 'Ray' caught his attention, wondering if something wrong with Ray but hey, Rain is with her, what if there's something wrong with Rain too? Before his mind travelled further, he saw Ten from far and rushed to him. "What happened? Is something happened to them?" He asked, worried about their children.
@s mew he couldn't believe it. a whirlwind of emotions overwhelmed him, ringing resonating in his ears as he moved. he wasn't even sure what he was doing, just aware of the fact he was going somewhere, limbs moving on autopilot.
it was only when the engine was killed that he realised where he was. setting foot upon the concrete ground, ten shut the car door and locked it, gazing up at the hospital. without much thought, he approached the building, crossing the threshold of a pair of automated sliding doors and greeted by the chill of an air-conditioned lobby.
ten stared down at his phone once again, thumb gliding over the screen instinctively until he found the contact he was searching for. tapping on the number, he brought the device to his ear, waiting for the line to be picked up. the moment the call went through, the words rushed past his lips. "whoever the ers are, i'll kill them- i'll make sure they wish they weren't ever born. how dare they, my daughter, ray-"
