@h hyunjin “My engine?” Seonghwa sighed and watched Hyunjin with a mixture of relief that he might have figured out the reason his car was dying every few weeks and anger because his car was dying every few weeks and it had already cost him quite a fortune. He loved his car, dearly, but he also, right now, hated it very much. “I guess that’s it then. Changing the engine.”

Seonghwa was rather glad he had been able to meet all the clients he had noted down in his calendar today because otherwise he would be stranded with some expensive artifacts in his favourite garage without a goddamn car. And no matter how much he did not care of taking taxis, he did not trust them with any of his items. Especially not those he had sold today.

“No, I am free for the rest of the day.” But he hated the fact that now he had to call someone to pick him up or walk home. “How long do you think it will take?” he asked and watched Hyunjin. Maybe just staying here for a bit and watching the younger would calm his nerves and make him relax, unwind after a long day. “You have coffee or something?” Or maybe a shot of whiskey but that might be a little inappropriate to ask. “Do you mind if I stay a little and watch you?” There was no one waiting for him anyways and Seonghwa could just use some company, even though he might just stay quiet for the most part unless Hyunjin would enjoy a good talk.

@p seonghwa chuckling as he listened to the older male talk, he made his way over to the front of the car and popped the hood open before bending over to peer inside in search of the problem. "well, i do enjoy seeing your car. it's truly a beaut, but i'm thinking you should change your engine if it breaks down this much." he pulled away, wiping away at his sweat from the summer heat with the towel that draped around his shoulders.

he wasn't a very social one, having built up many walls of protection after what had happened to him in his naive and desperate youth. seonghwa, however, was a regular now at this shop and he had found that without him even knowing, a few of his walls had broken done and hyunjin was genuinely quite pleased to see him as often as he did. it amazed him to be able to talk so casually with someone he didn't know too well. their relationship was simply customer and employee and yet, the comfort that hyunjin felt around seonghwa was something close to a friendship. he couldn't deny that he got quite lonely at times, always running away from any deep connection he could potentially make.

"how about you leave it here with me for a night and i'll fix it up by morning. do you need to use the car before then?"

@h hyunjin It wasn’t the first time his car had almost broken down in the middle of a highway and Seonghwa should have seen it coming – but he had not expected it to happen again only a few weeks after the last repair. His car was quite new, maybe a year or two old, and Seonghwa was anything but ready to buy a new one just for the new one to end up like his current one. So he found himself in his favourite mechanics shop again.

The guy working there was young but Seonghwa knew better than to judge anyone by his looks. Even if the guy was young, he was clever and he knew how to work well. He had saved Seonghwa’s last car after a really nasty crash – it had luckily not been his fault, Seonghwa was a good driver. So he trusted the dude to take care of his new car as well.

“I swear I did everything the way you told me to,” Seonghwa said as he had parked his car in front of the building and once he saw Hyunjin walk out. He grimaced and looked at the younger. “Almost left me stranded on the highway,” he added and sighed. He had called the mechanic earlier and Hyunjin had told him to come over as soon as possible. “No idea what’s wrong with it this time. Maybe the car just like seeing you.” He smiled slightly, a small chuckle in his chest.

she was too preoccupied trying to light her cigarette that she didn't notice the fanfare that entered. okay, it was not quite so but the man, had she bothered to look up and see him, was someone who radiated power. and doyeon did notice, albeit a moment too late and only when the tick of the lighter and the burst of flame caught her view. only then did her gaze rise, slowly and dark and etched with mild annoyance . how did he know her name? figuring that he must be quite up there on the gang food chain, she played along, composed yet tensed.

"what can i do for you?" she asked after taking a puff of her cigarette, exhaling the smoke slowly away from him. doyeon couldn't help but rake him up and down, judging various things in her mind which ran at about a hundred miles per second. he was rich, it showed in the suit and glistening shoes she could see her own reflection in. he was powerful, enough for the mechanics and everyone else to either cower or ignore so as not to get in his way. and he was hot, but that was beside the point. heaving a sigh, she tossed the barely done cigarette onto the floor, stomping on the with the toe of her boot to put it out. "and you do realize there's got to be a bit more spunk in getting me to talk, right? im pricey."

@j yein hyunjin wipes some of his sweat away with the towel resting around his neck, tweaking with the motorcycle in front of him before looking up at the female in surprise. they had gotten to know each other since she first came in, and it helped that she visited quite frequently -- honestly, making him question whether she should be riding a motorcycle if she had to bring it in so many times. she was easy to talk with and pretty too. it was a breath of fresh air in his life, surrounded by dust and fumes all day long as he slaved away to keep his mind busy.

"mm, yeah. it seems a bit slow today so i was thinking i could close a little earlier than usual. why do you ask?" he raises a curious brow, smiling at the girl before returning his attention back to the vehicle in front of him. his bangs were damp with sweat, cheeks probably painted with dust and grime from working all day. it made it hard to believe that anyone would be wanting to spend any time with him after work.

thus she dons the guise of a recurrent customer, visiting the male at his mechanic shop. how perfect it is that her motorcycle needs some repairs and that yein has taken a liking to the lead of her mission. she leans against the wall of the shop, her scrutiny lain across the owner of the shop as he works on her motorcycle, its sheen of crimson shimmering beneath the lights. "say, will you be free after this?" the words simply fall from her lips as she crosses her arms. the first step in her mission is to get to know hyunjin. that, she believes, is going well.

@k doyeon now, it was a bit obscure why seungwoo was in the mechanic shop all of a sudden. even he was slightly taken aback by the whole idea. and frankly, he'd have someone take care of the trivial things his cars needed, but, it wasn't like that was the only business he came for. he ventured inside with a very well-tailored suit and freshly styled hair. he, of course, stuck out from the employees, who were pretty confused by his appearance but were distracted with fixing up beaten run-down machines to mind. he paced himself moderately, his eyes only focused on what's in front of him, focused with a strange mix of warmth and hostility.

once he spotted who he was searching for, his face lightened. "doyeon, correct?" he presented himself in front of her. he couldn't help but notice her earlier struggle in finding a lighter, so he took his zippo lighter out of his pocket and lit up the cigarette perched on her lips. then he immediately flicked it close and slid it back to his pocket. "i need some information. could we talk a bit?"

doyeon sat on the little stool by the little lift where her '96 mustang was stashed, toying with the pack of malborro that sat between her palms. she watched the mechanics work on the beast warily, wondering when the hell it would be done so she could finally get home. alas, not anytime soon. the men had made that clear. her engine light had come up on the dashboard and she'd ignored it for two days straight until it even refused to start. she'd rushed to get it to the garage, thanking heavens she hadn't needed any appointment of any sorts because she knew a couple of the mechanics there.

there was something going on with her spark plugs and she'd left the professionals to fix it, figuring out that her well earned money might as well go to cleaning the engine too. so here she was, nursing a bored expression and an urge to catnap. heaving a sigh, she picked a cigarette out of the box, the thin stick between her lips as she patted herself down for a lighter. "," she grunted when she found none, mood souring just a bit further.
