@Yerin Her smile toward the younger was bright and warm, as it usually was. In the back of her mind, she felt like she didn't really smile much like that outside of the treehouse and the time she spent with the others there but it was nice to feel that outside of the confines of the treehouse, too. Mint glanced down at her own outfit and shook her head a bit, beyond thankful for the compliment though and making sure to thank Yerin for it. She enjoyed the small talk and lost herself in it a bit before she was walking along with Yerin as they both followed the host to their table.
After giving her thanks to the host as well, her eyes were soon looking over the menu and just searching. Mint didn't pay any mind to the prices; she didn't want to and she didn't need to do so either. She just wanted to spend some time out, relaxing and enjoying the evening with Yerin. She raised her head at the suggestions before finding them on the menu and nodding slowly, immediately thinking that they sounded like great choices. "Just the sound of it is making my mouth water. Maybe I'm hungrier than I thought I was," Mint chuckled and nodded, "We can share. Mm, do you think some seolleotang would be too much? I feel like I've been having a craving for it lately."
@Mint A relieved sigh left Yerin's cherry-tinted lips and she started to respond when the elder woman beat her to the punch. The already present smile on her lips widened just a bit more and she subsconciously reached up to tuck some silky tresses behind her ear. "Aww, thanks~" she cooed, genuinely touched and easily returning the compliment, adding on a "That color really suits you!" They idly chatted for a short while until a host came to retrieve them to take them to their table.
She thanked the host and practically sank in the plush chair, scooting it forward enough to keep her self from leaning forward, elbows on her knees, like she usually did. She lightly chewed on her thumbnail though, while her eyes scanned the expensive menu. It wasn't really surprising, but that still didn't do anything to help the internal sigh. This would hurt her soul and she wasn't even the one paying. "The sea urchin kimbap sounds good!" she said, gaze lifting from the menu. "And the hanwoo beef. Should we share?"
@Yerin Mint spotted her friend before she even said anything, greeting her with a bright smile and a slight wave. "Not at all. It's only been a few minutes," she answered, nodding once, "You look pretty in anything you wear, you know that?" She smiled again, letting Yerin know that the wait for a table wouldn't be that long. Not too long after, or at least it didn't feel like that long after, were they being called to follow the host to a table. She gave her thanks and sat down with Yerin, trying to decide on what she had a taste for while she scanned the menu, "Anything catching your eye?"
@Mint The tiny Baek family weren't really a duo for fancy events, let alone going somewhere fancy for the hell of it, so Yerin didn't have much that screamed "three star michelin restaurant" in her wardrobe. As such, she'd spent a good 15 minutes of her 30-minute rendezvous time sifting through what she did have in a sped-up try-on montage that would rival any 2000s movie. She was finally satisfied with a black silk wrap dress with short bishop sleeves. Paired with the nicer of her ankle boots and a little bag to hold the necessities, she was done.
It wasn't an extremely long ride from her apartment to the restaurant, so she was able to leave with plenty of time to spare.
Upon entering the restaurant, Yerin carded her wind-blown hair out of her face as she looked around the wait area for the familiar face. "Oh, unnie-!" she greeted, pausing to raise a hand and wave before crossing the short distance between them. "Have you waited long?"
@Yerin Arriving to her apartment, Mint immediately took a quick shower and got changed, putting on a nice dress and some comfortable shoes. She had a bit of change to catch a taxi but, after being on her feet all day at work, she was perfectly fine with some shoes on the flatter and side. Checking the time, she messaged Yerin that she would be arriving at the restaurant soon, looking forward to a nice dinner out. Arriving at the restaurant, Mint paid the driver and stepped out, glancing up at the entrance with a sigh of relief. She had a jacket around her shoulders, knowing that sometimes you just had to bring something to keep you warm because you could never tell if a restaurant was going to be on the cooler side or the warmer side on the inside. Waiting at the entrance for a bit, she stepped inside and kept her eye on the door, waiting for Yerin to arrive. Mint did make sure to get their name in at the host stand so that they could be called once the next table was available.
