@『 ✦ 』jasper lee。 "well, maybe not today." he gives a honest shrug while tilting his head to the side, picturing the image of what the neighbors would see if they smell something from outside the door; opening the door just to see him awkwardly holding two bags while staring at the door in front of him looking helpless. but he can't get all angry at the guy, simply because he is one of his best friends and that's the last thing he would want to do. watching the other's lit up expression also brings a smile to his face for who knows what reason. "excuse me, you are the one blocking my way to get in." he rolls his eyes playfully before making his way into his unit, almost too naturally walking to the dining table before settling down their dinner for the night. "so how are things going on for you?" once he sets the food on the table, he starts to get everything out from the bag while he turns to the owner of the house.
@『 ✮ 』sungjoo bae。 “and you have a problem with that? i thought you didn’t mind the attention.” he looks at him with a raised eyebrow, a lighthearted laugh escaping his lips as he remains standing by the door. it’s not common for the man to be so giddy with others, but somehow he found the other’s bright demeanor infectious. he has him smiling from ear to ear just by doing the bare minimum. perhaps, it feels corny as hell to admit he enjoys this dude’s company, even with his weird quirks. but he’s one of the least annoying people he met in this apartment complex. “now you better get in before i get tired of this damn door.” he half jokingly tells him sternly, still basking in the lingering scents of freshly baked dough and tomato sauce. his stomach’s rumbling, waiting for him to fill it with food.
@『 ✦ 』jasper lee。 "if you open any slower, i think the whole floor will know we are getting pizza and tacos." he rolls his eyes in a playful manner, feeling too easy to smile as jasper holds his gaze, his heart urging to settle for ease finds its peace for a short moment when he is with him. "i know right? i am starving as well, you should really let me in because this is kinda heavy."
perhaps only by seeing someone again you would be able to see how much you have missed someone, and sungjoo truly misses jasper not only from the amount of time they haven't seen each other, but the fact that he had been through a hard time due to the band's hiatus, all the energy drained away from him when he's trying to figure a way out. it's only ironic that how the person he didn't want to trouble during such hard times would be the person to replenish those mental energy for him.
@『 ✮ 』sungjoo bae。 glancing at his phone now and then, he wonders how long he would take to arrive. majority of the time, he would forget they lived on the same building due to his waning presence in his home. their schedules have been conflicting lately, with jasper’s increasing number of cases and sungjoo’s... whatever the he was doing to cope with ozone layer’s hiatus. reflecting back on his texts with him, he seemed to not be doing anything important.
the man stands up from his couch to pull out the assortment of one liter soda bottles from his fridge, due to sungjoo’s requests for coke. he sets them on the table, nearly interrupted by a resounding knock. once he heads towards the door, he sees the visitor standing in front of him, holding all the food he ordered at his request. “hey, hope i didn’t keep you waiting too long.” he greets him with a grin, opening the door wider for him. “by the way, that pizza smells so ing good. i can feel myself getting full just from that.” he comments under his breath.
@『 ✦ 』jasper lee。 it only reminds him of how long he hasn't been at this doorstep when he looks up at the door, trying to recall the last time he stood at the exact same spot, waiting for jasper to open the door and let him in. but it was too fuzzy, and perhaps it only empathized the known fact once again. maybe jasper was right, he should not have considered visiting him as a trouble, when they are obviously living in the same building - sungjoo could not even justify himself when his thoughts were all over the place for the past few days.
the smell of well-baked crust and the soury tomato fill his nostrils and along the corridor when he made his way, by the time he reached the door, it almost felt like the whole floor could smell what he had ordered for their dinner; so he carefully frees a hand and knocks, hoping the owner of the unit would come out quickly to end his wait right here.
