@『 ✧ 』dohyun oh。 markus almost trips over his feet amidst the rush but fortunately he manages to spare the boy an accidental water spillage. it's only now he has come to see him— he can't afford a mistake! seeing his little brother up, he quickly sits right beside his feet and offers him the water, "what happened to you, kiddo? should i call the doctor for you?" his words come out in a gentle tone, still obviously unaware that he's nursing a stranger, as he grabs his phone from the coffee table.
a heavy breath slowly spills out his lips and markus decides not to wait for an answer due the worry. "hello," he greets over the line to the family doctor. their conversation ends as quick as it started yet he feels a thirds of his worry wash away when he figures out what he can do for the youngling. "you should lie down. i'll fetch you some blankets," he repeats the doctor's orders as he reaches over to try supporting the man back down.
@『 ✧ 』markus lee。 dohyun sees only empty darkness around him. he doesn't remember much, and he feels fuzzy the more he tries to remember. he remembers being busy. feeling hectic panic setting over him. he had a few big assignments due soon, a lot of meetings and all scheduled with everyone who wanted to see him, and he pulled a couple of all-nighters too.. oh. is that why his body feels so heavy? he hears someone talk to him, but can't quite out make out the words. now he's confused, because nobody should be in his apartment other than himself. unless he had invited someone over that he forgot about..?
he becomes panicked and tries to open his eyes, only for him to feel too weak to keep them open for more than a few seconds. all he can see is the wall, which usually looks the same in every apartment, and it doesn't give him a huge red flag because of that. he groans softly, now trying to get up and only half succeeding, sitting up while still on the bed. he stays in that position, deciding to wait until the other presence in the place speaks again before exerting himself more.
@『 ✧ 』dohyun oh。 it’s one of those nights markus drinks his heart out, alone. in all honesty, he could’ve gotten with his employees or a somewhat friend but he doubts they’d understand his longing— his silence that only seeks for companionship of one person only, his brother. actually he has messaged the boy earlier, inviting him over for a quick drink or a talk perhaps, yet so far, he hasn’t received any replies— not now and not to his previous texts. and so he continues to drown his sorrows until he hears a knock, resembling a thud just outside his apartment door.
it must be him!
markus perks and though his vision is hazy, he swiftly heads to the door so he could welcome his sibling. ah— brother? his eyebrows scrunches at the unconscious boy on his feet and it isn’t apparent whether it’s his intoxication or blurry vision but he thinks of him as his brother. oh, thank god, he’s finally come around! however, before he rejoices, grave worry settles deep into his abdomen and he heaves him into his arms so he can settle him into the couch inside. “what’s wrong?” he asks as he instinctively reaches out to check on the boy’s forehead before logically fetching a cup of water and a wet towel.
