@kurosawa mio ⁹⁶ mio was just trying her luck and pushing her buttons with her baseless claims. she couldn’t panic, not in front of kurosawa mio. “he’s my lawyer, it’s kind of his job but against you? why do i need to be protected from you? it’s not like i’ve done anything wrong. it’s not my fault you’re insecure.” hyori rolled her eyes. dohyun had chosen mio, married her, loved her and never put a wrong foot when it came to their marriage. despite their petty rivalry, she respected that and never tried to cross that boundary- while sober at least, and it wasn’t as if dohyun was going to leave his wife. she knew dohyun well. as much as he didn’t believe in marriage before mio, he believed even less in divorce. but she did get a kick out of riling mio up. “i couldn’t have been at the perseus, just ask your husband.” she gives her a sickly sweet smile and gets into her taxi in a hurry before her she could break character. no way would she let kurosawa mio get the upper hand.
@go hyori ⁹⁶ "is that so?" mio says, still with a light humming tone. the mention of her husband makes her gaze harden, and she supposes it would be worth it to throw the other woman more into a panic. she can see it in the way hyori's wrist trembles, in the way she chooses to focus elsewhere. "i could have sworn someone mentioned seeing you at the perseus though," she says — a white lie, though one that would certainly sow more fear into hyori's person. "and surely, you don't believe your lawyer would protect you against /me/? what confidence — or is it idiocy?"
@kurosawa mio ⁹⁶ with one look at mio’s sinister smile, hyori’s blood runs cold but she tries to to let her get to her. she’s failing. her head feels like it’s bursting and her inhibitions are low and she can barely hide the tremble in her wrist when she fixes the large christian dior shades that perched on her nose. “i wasn’t at the perseus, i was here. i didn’t want to see my husband because yesterday was a special day for me. there. if you have any other questions please speak to my lawyer instead, i think you know him very well.” she throws the girl a sneer and gestures for a bellhop to put her luggage into a taxi.
@go hyori ⁹⁶ mio keeps her composed stature, only a look of annoyance flashing in her eyes as hyori elbows her. but instead, she hums, disinterested. it isn't that difficult to piece together the pieces that she was missing yesterday. of course, who else is dohyun going to come to, leaving everything like that almost too easily? "how interesting. you've been here since yesterday, and yet you never made your presence known in your own niece's birthday party?" she says, before she turns her head to look toward hyori's direction. her eyes slightly narrow, though there is a faint smile on her lips, as though to suggest that she knows more than she actually does. "were you avoiding something, perhaps?"
@kurosawa mio ⁹⁶ kurosawa mio. hyori could recognise her threatening aura even if she lost her sight and her hearing. clutching the side of her head, she turns to face her former classmate in the eye with a look of mild disgust. “he checked in, i was drunk. i never forced him to do that. move.” she grabs the handle of her luggage and elbows her neighbour out of her way. it was too early in the morning for this and her head was pounding, and her phone was blowing up with message after message about who knows what. she just wanted to go home.
@go hyori ⁹⁶ the elevator doors part to the lobby, and mio steps out just in time to see hyori's figure in the near distance. with a neutral mien on her person, she approaches the receptionist in an elegant stride. eunhye follows quietly by her side, but mio's eyes are already narrowed at hyori as she approaches — just in time for her to hear the last of the conversation, which causes her to almost (almost!) slam her purse atop the counter. "what is this? a married woman still depending on someone else's husband for her expenses? i have got to say i expected more from you, go hyori."
@kurosawa mio ⁹⁶ “checking out of room 2010, and can i get some asprin please.” hyori clutches her head, her voice hoarse from all the puking she did last night when she returned to her hotel room. it had been a complete blur and all she knew was somehow or rather, she had ended up safely back at her hotel room with the urge to hurl her guts out. “would you like to review your charges?” the receptionist asks her politely, after returning with a bottle of mineral water and some painkillers. “no, dohyun can afford it.” she mumbles under her breath with a scoff, vague memories of the previous evening coming back to her.
