@✦ somnus aphrodite yawned as he exited the building. he probably should've gone home earlier. his neck hurt. studying wasn't something he *loved* but he did do it for way too long. maybe it was because he constantly felt like he had someone breathing down his neck. were people watching him? was his music too loud? he didn't really know, but this was a common occurrence. he usually studied at late hours of the night when no one was there and napped during the day. the only reason why he was here at the colosseum library because it was a little more private than the olympus one. why? he didn't know.
maybe he should get something to eat before heading back home.
he pulled out his phone to check for any messages from peitho, but instead, he found a weird text. he didn't know who it was from, but it wasn't totally out of the ordinary for that to happen. "cake? dining hall?" was an exhibitionist texting him? just another wednesday.
with curiosity and his grumbling stomach getting ahead of him, he made his way to the dining hall. it was a little busy, but he had no idea who texted him. maybe they would find him if he looked lost enough.
@✧ aphrodite placing the freshly baked cake on the counter, an gentle smile spread across his lips as he eyed his delicious creation. carefully cutting himself a piece of cake, admiring it for an moment before stabbing his fork into the pastry; pulling the fork up, bringing it to his mouth.
chewing on the soft treat, furrowing his eyebrows together, trying to figure out if he liked the goodie or not. placing the fork down, resting his chin in between his thumb and his index finger; pursing his lips. "i need somebody to try this.." he mumbled to himself, pulling out his phone. Somnus huffed softly, realized he didn't save any of his close friend's number. "I'll just text somebody..." his fingers tapping slowly at the screen, sending the text to whoever.

- hey.
- i need you to taste my cake.
- please come to the dining hall.
@✧ ganymedes venus smiled, pleased to find her offer was accepted. "great! i think i'll go with tea. i heard the lemon hibiscus tea is to die for so i'd like to try it." she hummed as she faced the menu off to the far left. "what about you? should we head closer to the menu? i can't imagine you know what we have here, truth be told." she shrugged lightly, her tone slightly concerned. "again, i do apologize for having you come all this way. i hope the travel wasn't too bad." she pressed her hands together softly. after traveling for so long, she'd understand if he wanted to sit down and relax instead. she'd be more than happy to get them both drinks herself.
@✦ venus "hey! over here!" ganymedes had heard the sound of the cheery individual from ahead. and for the moment, the greek had to let out a breath of relief when he caught sight of the individual of whom he could only deem was missus venusthetic from godstagram. "it's alright." ganymedes had laughed out, his eyes curved into crescents at the offer of getting something to drink along with the pastry. "that sounds perfect. hmm-- would you rather prefer coffee or tea? or, even plain water would work."
@✧ ganymedes truth be told, venus was worried about the plans she just made. not because of the person she's meeting rather the meeting place. the colosseum's very hard to navigate through, even she gets lost from time to time; so she wouldn't be surprised if he was the same. as soon as she packed her things, she went to rush out the door but the professor held her back to comment on her research paper. a few seconds became a few minutes as they rambled on and on about literature while her mind was only filled with the scrumptious-looking pastry she was about to taste. as they politely exchange their goodbyes, she made her way to the dining hall which, thankfully, wasn't too far. regardless, she was still late. she glanced around in panic searching for him. once she was able to find him, she waved relieved. "hey! over here!" she yelled as she walked closer. "sorry, about that! i'll get us something to drink, on me, for being late. does that sound good?"
@✦ venus climbing off the bus that had dropped him off at the colosseum university, he looked up for a moment to admire the shimmering cast of sparkling windows. In comparison to Olympus... the Colosseum was a modern wonder. traversing his way through and getting lost from time to time, Ganymedes finally found his way into the dining hall where it was illuminated by the wide windows with it's skylights. The dutch oven pancake he had made was better straight out of the oven, but it was better than nothing and it still looked good! so that was enough. Ganymedes didn't exactly know who it was he was looking for, he looked around to look for someone who matched the profile picture of the individual on godstagram.
favorited and upvoted because the colour palette and aesthetics are gorgeous! but unfortunately i wouldn't be joining since i'm not that into greek/roman myth anymore ;; but i'll support you in the form of spamming upvotes u_u
