Each family has its own symbol, history and systems of operations. You can choose how you carry or wear your symbol.
 

Each family has four ranks. From lowest to highest:
+ Rank 1 or C-Class are the new faces, young and old. These are typically those who are in training for how to function in their role. You may also find demoted family members here. Heirs more often than not have teams built of family members of this group for their own training practice as their family leader. Individuals of this rank are most likely to have a side job, full- or part-time, as they're still in training and can't rely on the family fully yet for a steady income. 
+ Rank 2 or B-Class are those that have been around for a bit and earned their stripes. They may have also avoided being a foot soldier and just managed to pass every evaluation that's come their way. Field experience shouldn't be assumed for members in this rank.
+ Rank 3 or A-Class are that much closer to the highest rank. They are typically the family members that have been with the family for a long time as well as shown their loyalty, skill and tenacity. Regardless of how they reached this rank, field experience is a must as members of this rank are typically sent out for anything from recon missions and collections to ambush and assassination missions.
+ Elite or S-Class are the top dogs. They are incredibly skilled at their role and, more often than not, multiple others as well. They have a lot more freedom, are usually called only for special missions, and are more likely to end up as bodyguards for the heir or the heads of the family. Some have even been known to become the heirs themselves. They are least likely to have another job of any sort as the family takes full care of them, but that doesn't mean they won't have one at all.

𓆸 Won Family
Symbol: Lotus
Known For: Diversity - Most mixed and foreign races are members of this family. Opposing forces never know who they may be facing from this family or what they know, from languages to weapon handling to combat skills and so on.
History: Having started out very young as a sharp-shooting prodigy, the head of the family now runs it all on her own. The one that took her in and trained her, the love of her life, died in her arms during an ambush. Being of foreign blood, she never would have thought that the family would leave her anything but it was just the opposite. Her love's father had died and when her love had died as well, she became the legal heir to all of their assets. She avoids altercations as much as she can now, more so due to the heartache it caused her, but she's not one to be undermined or underestimated as her skills have never left her. She doesn't consider herself the mother of the family but everyone else does because of how nurturing and attentive she is. She's the type to try to learn and memorize every face and name in her family, and she's quite good at it.

⚡ Lee Family
Symbol: Lightning Bolt
Known For: Stealth & Agility - Staying under the radar and moving within the shadows is what they're best at. They're careful not to draw attention to themselves simply because they don't enjoy being in the spotlight.
History: Little is known about how the current mother of the family got to be in charge but it's even more of a secret as to how and why she allowed her son's father to take the reins. Their son, and current heir, doesn't even know the whole story but he's trying to learn. He is aware that his mother is the more powerful and threatening of the two, although most think otherwise. He's also much closer to his mother, who is also best friends with the mother of the Won Family.

♔ Kwon Family
Symbol: Crown
Known For: Power - Anything from manpower or money to physical ability, their family members tend to simply ooze authority. They also tend to move in numbers, and quite large ones.
History: The Kwon family has always been more traditional. More often than not, they run the way most people would imagine a crime family to run. The only difference is a generation here and there that may have been adopted in some form or fashion. They typically have a male head and/or heir but are not at all against the women they have had, currently have, and will have in charge. The current head of the family is a lone male. The current heir is one of the small handful of individuals that the current head had taken a liking to and took under his wing.

✩ Kim Family
Symbol: Star
Known For: Creativity - Combat and weaponry aren't their main tactics and they love that. Their minds are their most utilized weapons and they tend to have flair without even trying. They're a clear example of "there's more than what meets the eye."
History: This family is considered the least traditional, or one of them anyway, especially in comparison to the Kwon Family. Much like the Won family, this family tends to be chosen family most of the time, not that anyone from the outside can really tell. Of the couple that is currently the head of the family, she was born the heir to the family and he's the love of her life. They found each other by chance at an event she was attending and just began chatting. It grew into a friendship, then a relationship, and into true love, especially after he killed someone who had tried to come after her - a mole in the family nonetheless; he wasn't even a member of the family at the time. There are talks of them wedding soon so it's unclear if the future heir will remain their current heir, someone they chose, or if the heir will become someone they have birthed.

☾ Moon Family
Symbol: Crescent Moon
Known For: Feminity - With elegance, class and a certain delicate touch, this family is known for the amount of female power it carries. These women hold power in ways that typically leave them unsuspecting to their opponents. Whether it's high heels or combat boots, these ladies know how to make sure everyone else knows they're in charge.
History: This family was started by a group of young women, best friends in the high-profile world. Between a lawyer, a CEO, a celebrity performer and a celebrity actress, they were tired of the world around them taking advantage of them. They decided to play along, or at least pretend to. With those around them constantly underestimating them, it was easy to climb to the top. They still drive hard and have learned how to maintain their power. Now that they've made a name for themselves, they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. The heir is the one that shows the most promise during evaluations during their time with the family. There have been some men allowed to be a part of the family, some more masculine while most tend to take on the more feminine nature of the family. Though a male has yet to actually be the heir.

⚔ Blood Dragons (Shadow Unit)
Symbol: Two Crossed Swords
Known For: Connections - Every single member of this unit knows someone that knows someone that knows someone. They have someone to call for just about anything. Their connections have formed in many manners, such as blackmail, offering assistance to those in need, and even violence and physical persuasion. Although a still considerably new unit, it's thanks to all of their hard work over the years that they have a large number of people in their back pockets.
History: The Shadow Unit is a subsidiary of the Blood Dragons. They were initially formed as an experimental group of people to handle business in South Korea. Individuals apart of this gang were to stay under the radar while following orders and were responsibly for finding ways to expand the Blood Dragons' territory outside of Japan. After have proven themselves, none of that has changed aside from the fact that they are a more established unit with much more resources available to them. They are responsible for a lot of the connections and business acquisitions made for the Blood Dragons in South Korea.
