@ʀᴀᴄʜᴇʟ ᴋɪᴍᵈʳᵃᵍᵒⁿ There was a change in the ambient temperature from Rachel's shift in demeanor, but Meirris was too preoccupied with her own frustration to notice. "Why shouldn't I?" she grumbled back, "Maybe if I was an /actual/ dragon, I'd feel some pride. But, I'm not alright!" The last bit came out louder than she expected, but she didn't tone it down any less. "What full potential? I never had any! This is the reason why I'm stuck with these human weapons." Throwing her spear aside, she crossed her arms angrily. "Not like you had much to show either. Where's this 'basic power' you speak so highly of, huh?"
@ᴍᴇɪʀʀɪs ᴅᴇʟᴀᴄʀᴏɪxᵇᵃ̀ⁿ ˡᵒ́ⁿᵍ How disappointing. That what she thought when the others couldn't even make her use half of her original power. And she got even more baffled when Meirris admitted her own defeat. Her eyes turning completely light blue as she stepped closer to the girl, her voice that coming out was low and almost meneacing as icy fog started to come out from her. "I do not feel happy. Not even in the slightest. This win is useless because you surrender. And dragons never surrender. You can't even use your full potential, Meirris. Not even the basic power of dragons. Are you even being serious in fighting with me earlier?"
@ʀᴀᴄʜᴇʟ ᴋɪᴍᵈʳᵃᵍᵒⁿ Her brows furrowed at the challenge as she quickly lunged forward with her short sword. Jabbing at the other's open torso, Meirris was bewildered to be deflected so easily. "Are you /intentionally/ trying to one-up me?" she demanded angrily, as she tried again and again to attack Rachel's exposed areas. After awhile of not landing a single hit, she stepped back, refusing to embarrass herself any further. "I'm done. You win, happy?" It wasn't as if they were competing, they were just training for class. But for Meirris, it always felt like she was fighting to prove she was half as powerful as the other dragons.
@ᴍᴇɪʀʀɪs ᴅᴇʟᴀᴄʀᴏɪxᵇᵃ̀ⁿ ˡᵒ́ⁿᵍ Standing few meters away from Meirris, Rachel couldn't help but to stare at the other in slight annoyance. Of course she knew her partner was a half dragon, which explain the lack of strength the dragon's race possessed but she never thought their power difference would be this...huge. Rachel fiddled with her double dagger on both her hands, the weapons she chose as her second best and got into her fightin stance. Her eyes slowly turning light blue as she focused back to her opponent, channeling the speed to her limbs. "Come at me anytime."
@ʀᴀᴄʜᴇʟ ᴋɪᴍᵈʳᵃᵍᵒⁿ Meirris was part dragon. She should've been able to defend herself against attacks with talons and powers like the other dragons at the institute. Yet, here she was, training extra hard in weaponry just because she could do none of the above. And today, she was paired with Rachel, who was an actual full-fledged dragon. A frustrated sigh left her lips when she couldn't get the timing of her counter attacks right during her training. "Again," she demanded, as she readied her weapon.
