@hwang hyunjin. the man backed up as far away as he could from the demon, relief filling his features as he realized he'd be safe for the time being. still scared out of his mind, however, he didn't dare utter a single word and risk sending the demon over the edge once again.
trembling, felix quickly grabbed one of the dish towels and rushed over to his master's aid, doing his absolute best to dab and wipe up any visible blood he could see before applying pressure on some of the larger wounds. with tears pricking at the corners of his eyes, he gazed up at hyunjin with a worried expression. "hyunjinnie...he lost a lot of blood. we have to get him some help! h-" but before felix could continue, the man had shoved the kitten off to the side and scrambled to his feet.
"i'm not doing anything or going anywhere with you two disgusting creatures!" he spat in their direction before hurriedly limping out of the exit and disappearing, a thin trail of blood remaining behind.
@lee felix. Personally, Hyunjin wanted the man dead. Very dead. Tortured in Hell for the next eternity dead, however Felix's shaky voice and the hand on his wrist was enough for him to close the portal to Hell and step back. Though he was less than satisfied letting the man live. "You're lucky Felix wants you alive. If I ever see you here again I'll kill you, and you won't enjoy suffering for eternity in Hell I can promise you." He growled, he would not let his kitten be hurt by this man ever again. He felt bad for scaring Felix, but he couldn't help the overwhelming protectiveness that he felt towards his kitten. Felix was precious, and he deserved to be treasured, not treating like a toy without feelings. Hyunjin would treat him right, like he deserved, like the angel he was.
@hwang hyunjin. the man screamed and screamed, blood pouring from his wounds as he desperately tried to stop the bleeding and apply pressure wherever he could.
whimpering, the kitten reached out with a shaky hand and gently grasped hyunjin's wrist, tugging on it. "h-hyunjin..." he whispered, barely able to utter the words out as he quivered with fear. "please, don't. he's not worth it...just let him go." felix pleaded with the demon, his ears flattening on the top of his head. he couldn't bear to watch the torture continue in front of him. "you've scared him plenty. i don't think he'll bother us anymore."
@lee felix. “You can’t own if you’re dead.” Hyunjin almost laughed at the pitiful swing the man took at him. Catching his fist in his hand he squeezed until he felt bones giving and cracking under his hand. “How many times have you used these hands to hurt him? Hell will welcome you, I’ll make sure you suffer for eternity.” He dropped the mangled hand, this pathetic excuse of a human, his rotten soul was disgusting and it infuriated him to know that this wretched man had ever touched his sweet kitten. Pulling the shadows together he opened a gateway to hell behind the man, the heat of the flames bringing the kitchen to sweltering degrees. “You never should have touched him. You might have made it out of this alive.”
@hwang hyunjin. felix yelped and stumbled backward, nearly crashing to the ground when his master released his ear in a flash from the way hyunjin viciously sliced the man's arms. blood splattered all over him, along with the cabinets and counter space nearby. he shook in fear, widened eyes shifting between his master and his new friend, unsure as to what to do. should he help his master? as much as felix disliked how the old man treated him, he owned the kitten by law. or, should he sit back and allow hyunjin to do as he pleases to the man?
"your kitten?" his master howled, both in pain and fury, spinning around to immediately take a swing at the demon. "i don't know who the you are, but felix belongs to me. i /own/ him, pretty boy."
@lee felix. That was too much for Hyunjin, seeing his kitten being treated like that, hearing that bastard threaten him, Hyunjin saw red. "Get your hands off him." He snarled, solidifying his form from the shadows and reaching out to grab Felix, slicing into the man's arms with his claws to force him to let go of Felix. He didn't care if he got blood all over the kitchen. He wasn't going to sit back and let Felix be treated that way, not his kitten. "I was going to let the demons have fun with you, but I don't think I can be that patient. I'll drag you to Hell myself you sick bastard. How dare you treat my kitten that way. You want a lesson taught? I'll teach you one. Let's see how you like your own treatment."
@hwang hyunjin. "nope! not at all. am i...supposed to be kissed on the cheek that often?" he blinked twice, head tilted curiously. felix knew he didn't have time to wait for an answer, however, because his master's footsteps thundered down the hallway, sounding a bit erratic and messy...a clear indication that the older man was drunk. cowering a bit, the kitten sunk against the counter as if that would keep him further away from his master. "there you are!" the man hissed. "i was expecting you in our bedroom as we discussed time and time again. here, i find you in the kitchen..." he paused to sniff the air and eyed the mixing bowls. "making cookies! and i thought i told you not to bake? you're disobeying me on so many levels." before felix could even stutter out an apology, the man was yanking on one of his fluffy ears and tugging him toward the door. "guess i'm going to have to teach you yet another lesson, kitten."
@lee felix. "You've never been kissed on the cheek?" Hyunjin asked, blinking in shock and he was very suddenly and powerfully overcome with the desire to murder Felix's Master. He clearly wasn't taking care of his kitten like he should have been. And speak of the devil the man himself made himself known, shouting as soon as he got home. It was enough to pull a frown on Hyunjin's face. He didn't like this one bit. "It's alright, I'll make sure he can't see me." He promised, pressing one more kiss to Felix's cheek before he stepped back, melting into shadows and disappearing. He stayed in the kitchen though, unwilling to leave Felix alone with this man. If he even so much as tried to hurt his kitten, he would kill the man, he didn't care. He would drag him to Hell and let the demons enjoy his slimy soul.
@hwang hyunjin. the kitten blinked slowly before a blush crept up the back of his neck. "you really think so? master says they're too sweet, so i stopped baking for him. i mainly cook and prepare his meals now instead; nothing very fun." felix sighed, bending forward to pop the cookie trays into the oven before straightening himself up and smiling once again. "i have you to bake for, though! and the other residents here enjoy my cookies, so i'm not too worried. i-" he immediately paused and gaped like a fish instead as soon as warm lips met his cheek. "o-oh...heh, that felt nice. i've never been kissed like that before." he shyly admitted, ducking his head down a bit. "um, but- don't worry! i'll show you how to prepare things with love." not even a few seconds later, a door slammed and a loud booming voice echoed down the hallway. felix froze, eyes widening and ears flattening on the top of his head. "that's master! he's going to be furious if he sees me with you..."
@lee felix. Hyunjin was positively melting. Felix was far too cute for his own good and it made him want to corrupt his precious innocence. It was so tempting to pin him against the counter, the thought played at the edges of Hyunjin's mind but he firmly pushed them down. There would be a time for that, but not until after he'd earned his kitten's trust. "I'm sure they taste even more delicious when you make them with love." He agreed, though to be honest he didn't know what love was supposed to taste like to know. He made sure to pay rapt attention though, going through each step as he was told and doing his best to meet Felix's standards. "I don't think anyone could do it as well as you." He said, leaning closer to kiss the kitten's cheek. "Not when you know the special ingredient. I don't know how to make things with love."
@hwang hyunjin. "i don't know!" felix huffed out, tail flicking behind him and ears flattening on the top of his head. "sometimes i feel like the other animals here try to just mess with me," he mumbled while moving around the kitchen to collect all of the ingredients he needed to start preparing the cookies. "most people use the premade dough, but i prefer to make my own so it's full of even more love, heh." after gathering everything, the kitten began to explain each step, happy to show hyunjin what to do with a cheerful little pep in his step. "soon, you'll be an expert like me!" he giggled, giving the demon a soft nudge with his elbow.
@lee felix. "Who would dare do such a thing?" Hyunjin teased as he did as he was told, finding the mixing bowl in the cupboard and setting it down on the counter. He was clueless in the kitchen, he didn't cook. If he needed to eat he went out and bought something. Money was no issue, he may not be a true demon but he still possessed magic and could still trick someone into thinking he'd paid for something when he hadn't. It was a simple trick, but it made navigating the human world much easier. "So what's the next step?" He asked, flashing a smile at Felix as he waited for the adorable kitten's next instructions. He'd never thought of himself as a particularly soft person, but Felix brought that out of him.
@hwang hyunjin. felix would've asked hyunjin to elaborate a bit more, but the excitement over having an opportunity to teach the other male how to bake pretty much distracted him. as soon as the oven was set to the right temperature, something felix knew by heart, and the cookie sheets were set out onto the counter, felix spun around and once again beamed at hyunjin with his eyes crinkling at the corners. "can you grab one of the mixing bowls from the top cupboard for me? seems like someone just put it out of my reach, hmph..."
@lee felix. "Make a deal." Hyunjin answered a bit vaguely, offering a smile to try to reassure Felix. There were worse things than death, and plenty of bargaining chips for a man who liked to covet precious things. A soft chuckle fell from his lips as he let himself be tugged to his feet. "Of course I'll let you teach me. I think cookies sound delicious." He really didn't know his way around a kitchen, but he would happily let Felix teach him anything if it kept that smile on his face. Following a slower pace into the kitchen, he tucked his hands into his pockets, amused and endeared as the kitten raced ahead.
@hwang hyunjin. he blinked twice. "what are you going to ask them to do?" as much as felix didn't particularly care for his master, he couldn't bear the thought of anything terrible happening to him. "oh! you'd let me teach you?" his tail swished excitedly behind him as he perked up and tugged on hyunjin's hand. "come on, come on! i'll show you right now how to bake something simple! maybe some chocolate chip cookies?" the kitten hopped to his feet with a bright grin. "i'll go fire up the oven!" felix chirped before dashing off toward the kitchen.
@lee felix. Hyunjin hummed, thinking over everything Felix had told him. The trackers weren't altogether a big deal, they could be easily dealt with. It was the man himself that would prove to be a problem, unless he was taken care of and removed as a threat entirely. "I'll ask around to some of my people." He finally said, he could make a visit down to Hell to talk to a few of the demons he was on good terms with. It sounded like this man had a soul ripe for Hell and he knew a few demons who would enjoy taking his life just for their own amusement. "Maybe you can teach me how to bake in the mean time? I don't know how but I bet you're a wonderful teacher. You'll have me an expert in no time."
@hwang hyunjin. "a new owner...?" he repeated in a bit of a daze, as if this was his first time hearing such an idea. "as much as i would love that, i don't think my master would let me go willingly. he's super possessive of me...has a tracker on my phone, on my collar..." felix shifted uncomfortably despite the soothing scratches on his fluffy ears. why now, more than ever, did that frighten him? "having someone to bake with and garden with would be so nice! sadly, most of the tenants here have jobs of their own and aren't around much during the day for me to hang out with...i guess i could always ask them when they came home, though, of course." he shrugged a little. "i don't mind all of the . i just want to be taken care of sometimes...not only used to get someone off."
@lee felix. "Maybe you need a new owner." Hyunjin said, reaching up again to scratch behind the kittens ears. It was cute the way he was rubbing up against him. He had cute hobbies too, he was all around completely adorable and the urge to corrupt him was strong. More than that though, he felt the inexplicable need to protect him. Maybe because he reminded him too much of himself as a puppy. Felix still had such a sweet personality, whereas any such traits were beaten out of Hyunjin much earlier. He didn't want to see that happen to Felix. "You deserve better, someone who would bake with you, and garden with you. Someone who actually wants to spend time with you outside of ."
@hwang hyunjin. felix chewed on the inside of his cheek, pondering over the other's words. everything he'd said sounded like a dream, the complete opposite of his current situation. "i'm good at baking! you'll have to try some of my desserts. i make a mean apple pie, heh. oh, and gardening! i help tend to some of the flowers outside." he chirped, happily explaining a couple of his favorite hobbies. "mm, i'd honestly love all of that, too. i just...well, i think my owner might get angry if he noticed me smelling like someone else..." although, even as felix spoke, he found himself leaning in closer, practically rubbing up against his new friend and covering himself in the comforting scent.
@lee felix. Hyunjin tasted something heavy and bitter when he swallowed. Everything Felix said was a painful mirror of his own existence. Demons were hardly good owners and he was considered a lesser being down in Hell. He was just a tool, a means to accomplish a task, barely even considered alive. That was why he didn't spend much time down there, he preferred to be on the surface where he was regarded powerful and unique, not just another mutt on the streets. "I could stand to be around you much longer than that kitten. I bet you're good for more than just . I'd love to take you out and spoil you, show you how good it can be. Tease you in public until you can't take it anymore."
@hwang hyunjin. quiet purrs vibrated in felix's chest as the other provided affection and gentle pets for the kitten. "mm...well, he uses me more as a plaything. something pretty to hang off of his arm at fancy events and a body to warm his bed at night. i'm used to this routine: him leaving me alone during the day and then summoning me in the evening. it's not the worst thing ever, i guess." he lifted his head, eyes shining curiously. "really? you could stand being around me that long?" felix questioned, not knowing any better since the man who owned him reiterated over and over again that the only time the kitten wasn't annoying was when he had his face pressed into a pillow. hearing that hyunjin wanted him in his sights made felix all warm inside.
@lee felix. Surprised by the answer but utterly endeared by the behavior, he let his hand wander up and down along Felix's back, lightly scratching over the bumps of his spine. "Who would leave such a pretty thing all alone? If you were mind I'd never let you out of my sight." It was touching though, that Felix worried about him being lonely because he was sitting off by himself. It was incredibly telling though, and his heart went out to the little kitten. He understood loneliness very well. Hell was lonely, he came here to get away from all that. At least here there were people he could charm into conversation or company for the night. Not just self-important demons who would kick him as soon as look at him.
@hwang hyunjin. the cat's lower lip quivered when hyunjin continued with his playful remarks. he swears he's not little! "maybe compared to you, i'm small...but that's not my fault you have really long legs!" felix whined after taking one quick glance at the other's legs. "that just makes you bigger than me." he grumbled, curling into himself as he tried to hide his face against the cushions of the couch. at the other's question, felix merely shrugged his shoulders. "you were sitting in here by yourself. i thought maybe you were lonely and could use some company. my master leaves me alone a lot, so... i know what it's like."
@lee felix. "I don't know, you look pretty little to me." Hyunjin teased, amused when Felix puffed out his chest in an attempt to perhaps try to look bigger. It didn't really work, if anything it just made Felix look that much cuter. Hyunjin almost wanted to coo as he gave the other ears some attention. "So what's a cute kitten like you doing cozying up to a mean ol' dog like me?" He asked, amused and curious as to why Felix decided to talk to him out of anyone he could have chosen.
@hwang hyunjin. felix never had a sense of personal space, nor any caution when it came to strangers. which is why he immediately leaned into the hand scratching at his ear, purring loud enough to sound more like a motorboat than a cat and nudging his head against the warm palm as he closed his eyes. “i’m not little!” he protested with a pout. “i’m a fully grown persian cat.” felix sat up straighter and puffed out his chest as if to prove his point. “see?”
@lee felix. "That's a lot of energy for someone who doesn't smell like a puppy." Hyunjin remarked, raising an eyebrow as he suddenly had a very cheerful-- critter right in his face. He hadn't been expecting that, but... the boy was cute and now that he got a whiff of him he could pick up the scent of cat coming off him. "Felix huh? I'm Hyunjin, aren't you just a cute little kitten?" He teased, reaching up to rub the hybrid's ear though it was tempting to grab that fluffy tail. Maybe this little cutie was exactly what he needed to spice up his day. It was certainly better than sitting around with a bunch of quiet types waiting for something fun to come falling from the sky.
@hwang hyunjin. being relatively new to the villas, felix hadn't had much time to fully explore the grounds. the persian cat hybrid was considered to be overly curious and often found himself hearing that darn saying, 'curiosity killed the cat', from others more often than not. so far, he hadn't lost any of his nine lives even if his inquisitive nature occasionally led to some dangerous situations. after spending the morning sniffing every flower and studying every tree in the beautiful gardens, felix entered one of the living spaces, his footsteps soft on the carpeted floor. instantly noticing someone else occupying the space, he plopped right down next to the man and flashed an ear-to-ear smile. "hi!" he chirped, fluffy white tail swaying behind him. "i haven't had the chance to meet you yet. i'm felix!"
