@♡ : taeyong l. "I don't know", Jacob said slowly, but the tone of his voice and the way he averted his gaze made it clear that it wasn't really his answer, merely a placeholder to create a small crack in the wall of his own thoughts. "People get used to a certain version of you", he continued then after looking off to the side, rolling over so he was on his stomach, cheek pillowed on both of his crossed arms, ankles crossed. And perhaps his words were tinged with a certain kind of melancholy, but his smile was still present, his eyes soft, as he continued: "And people want the sweet, quiet, gentle, sometimes unhinged and savage Jacob. That's what they're used to seeing and there's little to no need or interest to ever dig deeper."

He heaved a small sigh, exhaling around a laugh, his gaze growing more and more amused by the second as he studied Taeyong's barely illuminated face, the white and orange glow of the few street streetlamps around them throwing stark shadows across the slope of the other's nose.
"What I meant was that you need to stay on top of every situation. Be one step ahead, if you will. I think it's because you're a really responsible person. Look, you even paid for the drinks and snacks, even though I said I'd do it. It's your nature to provide and probably to protect as well. A jumpscare is something you can't prepare for, the only thing you can do is react. Correct me if I'm wrong."

@♡ : jacob b. humming in understanding, taeyong to his side, returning the stare the other was giving him. although it was dark, jacob's features were still visible enough to make out his joyous and innocent smile. "true. is that also why you don't open up as easily? because you're afraid of how people would react?"

keeping an arm supported under his head, his other started tugging at a few grass pieces, breaking them. "i guess it does depend on what kind of surprises. i don't think anyone likes negative surprises. but now that i think of it, because you mentioned it... i think you nailed the 'being prepared for everything' part."

@♡ : taeyong l. "Good guess, but no", Jacob shook his head, lifting his arm that he didn't use as a pillow, tracing the line of the red plane light with his index, until it disappeared behind a thick blanket of orange-glowing clouds, the city below illuminating the sky in muddled colors. "It's more a fear of the unknown. Not knowing what is lurking in the dark below my feet. It probably says a lot about me, really. But then again... I didn't tell you I like you until I was certain you like me too. Again, fear of the unknown."

He breathed out slowly, turning his head to the side so he was looking at Taeyong again, a soft smile playing around the corners of his lips that made the apples of his eyes rise ever so slightly.
"Your biggest fear tells me you don't /actually/ like surprises. Negative ones. You want to be prepared for everything, maybe. Which wouldn't surprise me, seeing as you're the leader of your group. It's basically hammered into your skull."

@♡ : jacob b. lowering his second elbow onto the ground as well, he kept only his shoulders and head lifted, crossing his legs at the ankle as he listened. “i can see that,” he agreed, thoughts wandering as he recalled what the other had mentioned as his biggest fear. he took a few seconds, lost in thought, eyes looking focused but not on particularly something. “is yours about being forgotten? or no one noticing you need help when you really need it? or don’t take it as seriously as needed?” keeping his eyes averted, taeyong wiggled his lifted foot slowly. “what did mine tell you?”

@♡ : taeyong l. With a dramatic sigh, Jacob nodded slowly, lips pressed together and brows pinched as he regarded Taeyong's lap with a look that made it seem as if it was nothing short of a glass or water during a drought. "Yeah, I would", he said then, letting out another sigh, before he burst out into quiet laughter, slowly lowering himself down onto the ground with his head pillowed on one arm.
"Because it tells you a lot about a person", the younger explained then, following the red speck of light up in the sky. "If someone say they're afraid of being lonely it often means they have an anxious attachment style. A person's biggest fears and their wildest dreams can tell you so much."

@♡ : jacob b. albeit understanding, and agreeing, he couldn’t help but want to tease a little more and be the irrational one, even more so when jacob was being the rational one who’d steer them in the right direction. he did enough of that on a daily basis already. “that sounds so nice though. killing me softly. bet you’d look really pretty there,” taeyong’s head tilted to glance at his own legs, turning a bit more onto his back again. he slowly let go of the younger’s collar then and took another pepero instead, putting it between his lips and letting go of the end, making the little chocolatey stick wiggling in the air as he nibbled on it with an absentminded gaze in the distance. “why do you usually ask about biggest fears on a first date?”

@♡ : taeyong l. "Because", Jacob sighed, casting a quickly glance around, before he pecked Taeyong on the lips swiftly, closing his eyes for a second to calm his rapidly beating heart. "I'm /seconds/ away from climbing into your lap and full on making out with you in the middle of a dark, /very/ public park, Tae."

@♡ : jacob b. grumbling in disappointment, taeyong stared at the other when he held his face, almost, /almost/, pouting. but his large eyes did enough, looking quite innocent and pleading, even without trying. “why? there’s no one,” he said, face turning to check if he was right.

@♡ : taeyong l. "Taeyong", Jacob started when they parted for air - of which he didn't get much, admittedly, what with the way their lips found each other over and over again, no matter how quickly and sweetly.
"We gotta stop", he whispered in between those little pecks, his fingers framing the other's face to push him away just a little. "We really have to stop."

@♡ : jacob b. the kiss was just a tad sloppy, but definitely delicious, and taeyong couldn’t get enough of it. his tongue explored the other’s mouth slowly and carefully, sliding along the younger’s own, seemingly wanting to mix their taste until there was nothing left. the leader pushed himself up a little more, making the liplock easier, obviously greedy for more. but it was their breath that forcefully pulled them apart. however, taeyong didn’t give much time to recuperate before going in again, this time with a few pecks to the other’s brims.

@♡ : taeyong l. The stinging bite to his bottom lip nearly made him whimper, but not quite, what with him quickly being distracted by the feeling of Taeyong's tongue against his own, fingers tightening in the other's hair as he pulled him even closer. It almost made him lose balance, his free hand soon pressed into the older's chest so he wouldn't topple them over and onto the ground.

@♡ : jacob b. he lightly smiled into the kiss when the other nipped at his bottom lip, pulling back a little just to chew on the snack and swallow it before digging his teeth into jacob’s brim in return. he was a little less soft, tugging while he tasted from the melted chocolate, before pushing his tongue past the soft tissue to taste a bit of the mixture inside the younger’s mouth.

@♡ : taeyong l. Holding still wasn't hard, but it wasn't the easiest thing he had ever done either, his eyes fluttering shut even before Taeyong's lips were on his once more, sticky and covered in chocolate. It was better than the weird mix of ube and grape, having him sighing quietly as the hand that wasn't pressed to the ground, came up to thread into the order man's hair. A playful not to Taeyong's bottom lip came almost naturally, his own lips already smeared with chocolate as well.

@♡ : jacob b. while pulling him closer, taeyong pushed himself higher, leaning forward more onto his hand than on his elbow so he could attach himself to the not chocolate part of the pepero. but instead of taking small bites at a time, he took almost half of it into his mouth, biting onto it to break the little stick before continuing his journey toward the younger’s lips, this time in smaller bits. it didn’t take a lot of time to get there, and when he did, his teeth were coated with chocolate. keeping his fingers curled into the fabric, he kept jacob close to kiss him full on the lips once more.

@♡ : taeyong l. "No?", Jacob smiled innocently, obediently clamping his teeth and lips around the end of the snack now pushed into his mouth, eyes sparking as he leaned closer, head cocked teasingly to the side as he simply blinked. He couldn't exactly speak now, so he only hummed as if to ask: "So what now?"

@♡ : jacob b. watching the other take one out and take a bite, taeyong quickly took the package only to put it down onto the ground. “hey that’s not how you play,” he stated, snatching the small stick from the other’s hold to put it between jacob’s lips again, waiting for him to clasp around it before tugging on the younger’s collar to bring him closer.

@♡ : taeyong l. Taking the package from the other, Jacob opened it with ease, letting out a quiet chuckle as he peered down at the drink innocently standing between his thighs. "It's really not that bad. I left the brown sugar one in the car and now I'm getting kiss-blocked by grapes", he sighed, before pulling a chocolate covered stick from the package and taking a small bite off of it, before holding the pack out for Taeyong. "Here you go."

@♡ : jacob b. taeyong lifted the package up for the other to take it and open it for him. “but it’s been ages since i played it, plus, your lips wouldn’t taste like that grape juice boba thingie,” he teased, wiggling his finger toward jacob’s pink drink, large eyes shining from the lights along the paths.

@♡ : taeyong l. "Yeah, I wanted to do it first", Jacob nodded slowly, flicking the end of his straw, which caused a slight trilling sound, whenever the thin plastic snapped back into place. But instead of getting shy or blushing, he only smiled at the older, eyes creasing and lips curling. He sat there, watching, clearly amused, before he said: "You don't need to play the pepero game with me, if you can just kiss me. And I just really like pepero, so it wasn't like I /only/ had ulterior motives. Do you need help with that?"

@♡ : jacob b. “but you wanted to do it first, huh?” leaning back onto his elbows, taeyong let his head hang back, looking up at the silhouettes of the trees and the dark night sky; no stars in sight. “oh yeah i did, i knew it right away. i didn’t wanna say anything about it though, scared you might get too shy to actually do it,” turning onto his side, he fiddled with the package of the peperos, trying to open it with one hand, his other stuck on the grass to keep himself upright. “you were with that one, but it was cute. but if you had it in mind, we should totally do it shouldn’t we?”

@♡ : taeyong l. "I don't doubt for a single second that you would've made the first move, actually. Or let me go home without a kiss", he gave back softly, reaching for another broken macaroni. This one was bright yellow, almost like a crayon. "See..."
He chuckled, grimacing at the strong lemon flavor in his mouth, before he continued: "I thought I'd just do something I really wanted to do. And why deny myself the chance to maybe get more kisses while we're hanging out? I knew I would like kissing you. And /you/ had me all figured out ever since I reached for the pepero, didn't you? Am I that predictable?"

@♡ : jacob b. “if we met at my place i definitely would’ve made the first move,” taeyong said confidently, sure that the comfort of his own house would’ve made him bolder. “but public, yeah, i get it. i doubt i would’ve let you go home without a kiss though,” he said, taking a (whole) macaron out of the package to eat it himself. unlike the other, he didn’t cover his mouth when he talked; maybe a little too comfortable, or maybe it was just the chill atmosphere hanging in the night air. “it’s okay, you’ve told me a few times already that you’re shy. i’m actually surprised you leaned in this early on, thought you would’ve procrastinated until the end of the date. or when asking to play the pepero game.”

@♡ : taeyong l. Humming, Jacob accepted the offered treat, carefully plucking out from between the other's fingers with his teeth. He hummed again, chewing with one hand covering his mouth, before he said: "Yeah. Or if we would've met at your place or something. I think if this would've been a date in public, I would be too shy after to even kiss you in the car. I mean..." He chuckled, scratching at his cheek, eyes trained on a patch of dry grass between his feet. "I got so defensive and said I'll kiss you without you having to make the connection and then I chickened out, earlier."

@♡ : jacob b. taeyong snorted at the name, shaking his head, but actually not really minding it as much as he made seem. “oh really? as a backup plan huh?” he wondered, opening his little packet of macarons, fishing out a broken one first, a green one, so he could hold it out in front of the younger’s lips for him to eat. “you would’ve what? leaned in? if we went to a boba shop to drink there, you mean?”

@♡ : taeyong l. "Big baby", Jacob cooed teasingly, before setting his own drink down, leaning back onto both of his hands as he shook his head. "They were a way of getting myself to lean in."
He shrugged, a little awkwardly so, before tilting his head back and looking up at the sky. "You know... it's kind of sad we can't really see a lot of start with all that light pollution. But I still think it was a very good idea to go out. I don't think i would've... you know."

@♡ : jacob b. a joyful chuckle left taeyong’s mouth when the other pulled him in for another kiss, ready to chase after his lips, but a complaint about his remark was just as ready. “jealous?? i was going to give you a sip, but now i don’t want to,” he said, pulling his drink as close to him as possible before dropping it between his slightly spread legs, ready to pick out a snack. “you like peperos? or did you just really want to play the game?”

@♡ : taeyong l. "That's tragic. Imagine wanting only gay ", Jacob deadpanned as he pointedly took another sip of his drink, letting out a rather obnoxious 'ahhh' right after, even as Taeyong pulled him along. He settled easily on the grass, uncaring that it could leave stains on his jeans as he got comfortable, pulling their array of chosen snacks out of his pocket, lining all of them up in a neat row.

"Yes, indeed", he agreed, before he turned swiftly and caught the other's face between his hands, pressing a swift kiss to his lips, only to announce: "Mh, no. Mine is better. You're just jealous."

@♡ : jacob b. “good, cuz i only want the pretty ones. ever since i met you i only want gay ,” taeyong scrunched his face, both to make it obvious it was a joke, but also to act like he was disgusted by it. disgusted by both what he said and by the other’s drink.

“mh, mine is better,” he said, glancing over jacob’s shoulder before slipping past him, a hand around the latter’s bicep pulling him along to sit down in the grass. “what a terrifyingly slow death, damn.”

@♡ : taeyong l. "Doesn't matter, they'll all look the same in my stomach anyway", he shrugged in return, running his fingers through the slightly messy hair at the back of Taeyong's hair. He merely raised an eyebrow when the other idol sipped from his drink, teeth digging into his bottom lip, before he said: "With aegyo. Extensive amounts of aegyo. The cringe will kill you."

@♡ : jacob b. the sudden remark had taeyong burst out in laughter as well, but he didn’t pull away. instead, he tilted his head down and brushed his nose just shortly and very softly against the other’s cheek, taking in a whiff of his scent now that they were this close, before retreating. “i’ll give you the ugly looking ones,” he joked, taking a step back, reaching for the pink drink jacob was still holding; wrapping his fingers around the other’s and lifting the straw to his mouth to take a sip from it. “so how are you planning on killing me now?”
