Immortals are mortals that achieved mid-level cultivation but has yet to achieve the status of a deity, due to lack of cultivation level and merits. Immortals go through the cycle of life but they have longer life expectancy than a normal mortal due to their cultivation. Immortals are not perishable but can be banished back to mortal reincarnation. Immortals are usually affiliated and live with their sect members in one sect.

Mortals are innovative beings that reshape and create their own rules and world. They are not bounded by strict laws of the otherworldly being nor do they need to follow hierarchy, if they do not wish to. Mortals are the most freeing being out of all the realms and they are the only ones with a physical presence. Many born-immortals seemed to want the experience of being mortal.
Spirits are living souls that lingers around in the mortal world. They can appear in various shapes and forms, being a plant, animal or human soul. Some are waiting for a chance to reincarnate, others are following a path to upgrade their status, be it towards the righteous path or the demonic path. They are part of the life cycle in the alternate way, meaning they are either hybrids or do not have a physical body.

They can be born as a demon or achieve the status through demonic cultivation and attaining countless sins. Demons do not go through the cycle of life but they can be granted a way to mortal reincarnation with enough merits, or perished into the abyss.
Ghosts are living beings that have sinned in their lives and require to go through a set of punishments before they are allowed to reincarnate. They usually wander the mortal and underworld homeless, without a physical body. They are considered lesser than mortal as they do not have a physical body nor spiritual powers while they are serving their time.

Deities and Demons do not have any life expectancy. They cannot die but can be perished or reincarnated.
Immortals can live up to 10,000 years.
Spirits can live up to 3,000 years.
Mortals live up to 100 years.
