The majority of the residents of the cove. Most of the humans are oblivious to the magic around them and only take things at face value, however some are blessed with the ability to look past what is presented to them. These humans tend to try to seek out the truth that is being hidden from them.

The Hunters are the humans that have accepted that not all is as it seems and have chosen to branch out and try to capture the magic around them. Many hunters have heard rumours of people willing pay considerable money for even a part of a mermaid and so they spend their time sailing the seas in search of a valuable specimen they can sell or perhaps even consume to absorb the magic of.

Half human, half fish and gifted with lives spanning multiple millennia, these mermaids are like those from a fairytale. Gifted with songs and breathing underwater, most of these creatures are stuck underwater unless they come ashore on the enchanted beach near the cave. Each mermaid has powers relating to the colours of their tails. Two things all mermaids must be careful of are Hunters and the full moon. Hunters risk turning mermaids into sushi, and the full moon has been known to enchant and corrupt mermaids, turning them into sea witches…
