@♡ blinded_dolphinᶠ despite the many times mouse had frequent the pods, mouse decided he was never going to get used to the initial nervousness and jitters that came with meeting someone new for the first time. and not just any one— his potential wife and lover. his future. what if he made a mistake and lost his one chance of meeting his soulmate? thoughts like these often embeded itself into his brain, but as the woman on the other side of the screen began to speak, his worries melted away as if they had never been there to begin with.
no, no we haven't, have we? such a shame, you seem like a keeper. but no worries, we have now to make up for lost time. i'm feeling very nervous. marriage isn't something you can rush. are you feeling good about a process like this?
hobbies? I love to cook and i cook almost every day. i'm actually a private chef. besides that, i love helping people despite my inability to be in social situations for too long. so i volunteer during my free time.
trust. now that's a big concept. to put it simply, if i'm devoting myself to my partner, i'm giving them 100% of myself and my trust. there's no room to not trust in them because my love takes all the room. what about you? what do you like to do for fun? how do you approach trust? mmm... how would your partner be able to make you feel secure in the relationship and make you feel like you're on top of the world? what is something you wouldn't like them doing?

@♡ blinded_mouseᵐ she didn't know what to expect as to who was on the other side, though that pondering thought was answered not too long after. she hadn't seen this show before so this was all a new experience but the woman didn't mind at all.

she couldn't help but snicker as well, what a way to start this huh? interesting. she leaned back a tad on the couch to sit comfortably, how does someone start these? she had thought to herself before answering back to the male again.

Ah, how are you feeling..? towards all of this? like i’m.. nervous. may i ask though what do you like to do? hobby wise? and how do you approach trust in a relationship? she emits a soft sigh, surprised by her own ramblings though that does happen occasionally, she'd be anxious towards something and it'll possibly cause her to say a lil too much..

@♡ blinded_dolphinᶠ there was silence for a moment after he called out to practically nothing, letting his voice fade out towards the end. maybe he was alone? just as he was about to exit the pod, an altered voice rang out, making him flinch.
you scared the crap out of me- hey?
he laughed, making his way towards the couch situated in the center of the room.
I’m good. this is mouse by the way? who am I speaking with?
he asked. he was never good with small talk, but he forced himself to sit still, ignoring the urge to run away. instead, he grabbed a pillow and placed it on his lap to ground himself.

@♡ blinded_mouseᵐ she had already arrived in the fairly small room known as pods not too long ago after getting lost at first.. somehow.. she curiously started to wait while sitting on the provided couch for whoever would end up on the other side of the wall once she ended up at the right spot. she hadn't really interacted with many other contestants beforehand but apart of her was determined to find love in this show, let's see how this goes.
she blinked over towards the wall that the pod has when hearing a male's voice, a part of her felt a bit of thrill that someone came into the pod room.
oh- hello there! ah, how are you?

he peers into the pod as if he would see someone waiting for him in there and not on the other side of the pod.

@♡ blinded_ravenᵐ the female contestant was momentarily rendered speechless on her end of the pod from utter disbelief. if she partially didn’t know what to make of their conversation then, this encounter certainly elevated the element of surprise— in the best ways possible, if she had to add. what daring banter she had perhaps expected to develop into heavens knows what instead has her careening head first into an almost pure endearment for the raven. or at least that’s who she thought she was supposed to be talking to? for if anything, she was starting to get precious puppy dog vibes from him. the type she only wanted to protect and shield away from all evils of the world, much like a good majority of the cast mates she had grown particularly fond of so far.

“what is it with you? who allowed you to be /this/ cute?” she ultimately let out with buoyant bubbles of laughter, quick to neglect the bottle of water in her hand she formerly thought she would make the most use of. “i guess it’s safe to say we’re here to spoil each other because honestly, you’re not alone. i’d like to think this is what i could’ve worn if we went out on a date or anything like that?” her gaze drops to her dress, hands smoothing over the soft material that differed from the cozy pair of sweats she was so used to wearing. comfort was key after all, but lucky for her, raven was quite the embodiment of it. “i’m good! even better now that you’re here— but aw, nervous? why’s that?”

she could think of many reasons off the top of her head as to why anyone in his position would be feeling such a way. tv show jitters? tiger knows she too had those at some point, taking quite a while before she thoroughly snapped herself out of it and simply went with the flow of things after some time. however, nervousness.. because of her? although it wasn’t far from possible, she doubted it. but she had to know. “it’s not me that has you feeling like that, is it? you know you can always relax with me!” tiger added as her lips pursed into a soft pout of concern.

@♡ blinded_tigerᶠ raven blushed brightly when he heard the disguised but still obviously female voice speaking to him from the other side of the pod, and he ran a hand through his hair before smiling to himself. body language usually helped to get his point across, but he'd have to learn how to be good with his words out loud just as he did in text form.

"sorry, i couldn't—it's so silly of me to be worried about what to wear since you can't see me, but i thought i'd be a bit more confident in speaking with you if i was dressed nicely." he responded to her as he stretched his legs out and leaned back in the comfortable armchair, feeling down the sides to see if it was a recliner (it wasn't, unfortunately).

"how are you doing today, darling?" raven knew that his accent was thickening slightly as his voice lowered, remembering that they had practically been ting for the rest of the cast members to see, and he chewed on his bottom lip for a moment before letting it go—she couldn't see it, but he didn't need to overly convey just how shy he was about this encounter. "i must admit...i'm very nervous."

@♡ blinded_ravenᵐ “aw, couldn’t wait to get that close to me already?” there was no stopping the woman from unveiling her presence. having waited for some short couple of minutes, her voice rode on waves of excitement whilst projected out in a distorted manner for the latter to hear. it was always so easy to say anything through chat platforms, but face-to-face (or at least the closest thing to it) was undeniably different for fairly obvious reasons— let alone when it came to raunchy talk right off the bat.

she honestly couldn’t believe half of the things she had been saying, let alone hearing, but there was no way that she was complaining. who she had hoped was her companion for the time being had simply brought out that side of her, and now there was no way she was backing out, at least not without the chance of getting to know this mystery charmer who easily had her smiling from each to ear so far. “this is who i think it is, right? was beginning to wonder when you’d show up.. ravs.”

tucking some loose strands behind her ear, she’s playfully squinting at the screen wall as if by chance her radiant stare would reach him someway somehow. even if it wouldn’t, at least she could leave it all to her imagination. that way, having dressed up just a tad more beyond her usual comfy, casual street attire would have made much more sense than it actually did.

@♡ blinded_tigerᶠ tiger wasn't going to see the outfit that he had chosen for this first meeting, but raven wasn't the type to dress casually. most of his wardrobe was already formal and dark, but he had a few coloured pieces here and there that looked good on him.

having settled on a pair of ripped light wash jeans and a looser t-shirt, raven fiddled with the silver chain hanging around his neck before dropping his hands to his sides. it wouldn't do to let the viewers see his nervous habits so obviously, and he sighed heavily before stepping into the room and shutting the door behind him.

"oh good, there's a chair, i feel like my knees are going to give out." he breathed out heavily before shaking his head, running a hand through his currently light brown hair and sinking down into the armchair in the corner of the room. "hold on, i want it to be closer to the screened wall, even though we can't see each other."

raven assumed that he was mumbling mostly to himself (and whatever audience netflix had found for the show) as he stood back up and pulled the armchair into a different spot in the room, eventually grabbing a fluffy blanket to cover himself with before sinking back down into its comfort to wait for a voice to call out for him.
