╰┈➤ jie met you (we can discuss where or maybe it'll be at her shop or in town, i'm open minded). you guys hit it off, she's pretty funny and you're an adorable being that makes her laugh on a daily. she cannot help but immediately rush to write back at you whenever you send her a letter, always eager to reply. it's as if writing to you has become a favorite part of her day.
sometimes you both would be lost away simply writing to each other constantly, gossiping about everything and nothing. you spend more time writing each other than actually meeting up with your busy schedules. but that doesn't mean that the connection and friendship isn't there, rock hard and solid.
p.s: we can elaborate if you want it become a firmer plot but really just wanted connections and writing buddies for her ♡
≫ genre: possible friendship, hurt and comfort, slice of life.
≫ age: 21-25
≫ gender: m/f [one of each]
╰┈➤ working with sick patients is a tedious task, and you weren't supposed to be present at the hospital but something happened (whether it's an ailment or type of sickness or condition or accident etc we can discuss). But you had to (either remain in the hospital for a while or visit frequently). jie was always there, handling medicine and providing to the surgeons and physicians working there presently and when you're around luckily she's there dropping off supplies. with you both due to being close in age and her relating easily to you, develop a sort of acquaintance.
eventually you guys get to talking more and more, every little break she gets, she'd check in on you. something about you reminds her of her younger sister and she immediately took a liking towards you.
you both planned on when you're out and back to feeling better, you and her can meet and hangout in the town itself rather than the alcohol-scented walls of the hospital. jie wouldn't admit it out loud, but you were her favorite patient and coming to tend to her duties knowing you are gonna show up, always made her day brighter, filled with excitement and happiness to last quite some time.
you were that little star additional to her sister, brightening up her dull life.
≫ genre: slice of life, hurt/comfort, fluff, friendship.
≫ age: 23-30

╰┈➤ jie has always been a hard worker and recently picking up business and becoming even busier, you're not blind, you noticed how much hours and effort she puts in at her shop and tending to her herbs and flowers as well, not to mention tending to her sister's needs and nurturing her. it's something you admire yet feel a sense of sadness washing over you. how can someone so young, be this buried deep with work and responsibilities where she has no time for fun and games. at a young age no less, she should be going out, having fun, joining the young women in the taverns lining the town and maybe even going out on numerous dates. you tried to get to know her, you decided to ask her to grab a root beer/hot tea. what started off as a brunch friendly date, you both went on to having a proper meal, then going out at night and weeks turn into months of a solid bond forming between you two.
over the course of time jie decided to open up to you, her heart has always been worn on her sleeve, causing problems in the end, betrayal and trust issues that stem from people using her way too much in the past. it's a thing she experienced with personal relationships as well — men only saw her good enough for one thing only.
while confessing such things, you felt sympathy for her, whether it is you went through something similar or you are simply empathetic, wanting to help her build back these broken pieces.
over the time of knowing you, she thinks she found a genuine friend after so many years and she actually thanks you and is grateful to you for being a pillar in her life. also, you're a huge part of who she is today.
jie is lucky to have you in her life and you feel just the same because even if you're the one comforting and building her up little by little, she's also giving you something in return by simply always being there for you. she's a major part of your warmth and comfort, the girl with a sunshine smile and warm heart that lights up others with her kind, loving personality.

╰┈➤ you and jie have always been close while growing up. jieqiong's uncle and aunt always thought of you both as rivals, however, jie's parents never grew her up in that way of thinking instead, she considered you as her own brother. a brother she never had. you both were attached to the hip, always attending home schooling, doing activities together, coming home together and even playing on evenings. however, eventually you both got distant, she wouldn't necessarily blame you, but... there was an underlying bit of distaste in her gut whenever she heard her parents mention your name. or when she sees your letters coming to her family back in china.
jie isn't a bad minded individual but she takes promises to heart and when you swore to her you wouldn't let your parents wicked way of thinking come between you both —and you did just that, she felt betrayed. not to mention, over the years, the same type of people you both despised, the overly rich and powerful who thinks they rule the world — you dated one of those people daughters. a wicked witch jie would say who bullied her quite a lot whenever your family or hers visited. she even set up jieqiong, being someone who stole a prized possession that belongs to your mother; an emerald, diamond necklace. planting it under her pillows as a means to be rid of her. why? she has no idea up until now — what did you do? you stood by and watch in the name of love, never once defending her.
you both even share matching birthmarks as funny as that is, on the corner of your left palm in between the thumb and forefinger. yet, where were you when she needed you? when her parents passed and she had no one? gone, forgotten. she hates you— yet what happens when you came to this sweet homey town, only to end up in a case of scarlet fever, the same ailment that brought misery to her life, being rushed to the hospital and jieqiong is the one tending to you when she heard about it. making as many concoctions she can think of in hopes of curing you.
do you apologize and try to make up for lost time or do you step on her even further, crushing her already broken heart into bigger shards?
— ride or die.
