-sooner after the timer buzzes and I skip my hands into a few oven mitts, taking the garlic bread out and placing on the counter, not forgetting to place a pot holder beneath the pan so it wouldn’t burn the counter. Removes the mitts and places them off to the side, shutting off the oven and closing the door to it-

I like to keep options for my guest...not that I have many.

-I ask, glancing up at you occasionally as I apply the ointment-
You’re welcome, Jisung.
-Finishes up, screwing the lid back on and placing the ointment on the counter. I put some more soap in my hands and wash my hands rather quickly. Dries them with the towel on my shoulder before returning to the hamburger, preparing a strainer with a paper plate and power towels beneath it to catch the grease. Dumps the hamburger into it to let it strain before stirring the sauce some more-
Alright, now we wait for the garlic bread. Just a couple more minutes. Wanna get us plates and silverware ready?

Not anymore...I stopped cooking cuz I kept burning myself. Chan hyung and lino hyung usually do the cooking at the dorms anyways.

You don’t need to apologize, Jisung. I was just worried for you. That burn could have been a lot worse. I’m thankful it was small, but I hate that it had to happen.

Do you have any burn ointment?
-I asked placing the towel down so I could turn off the various burners and place the garlic bread inside then oven. I set a timer for nine minutes-

*Scrunches my nose a little when you run the burn under the water, still feeling the stinging pain for a minute*

I don't think it'll be too bad...I just barely touched it.
*Peeks to get another look at the red mark, avoiding looking at you as if afraid to be scolded*

-Turns my head to look at the baking sheet, nodding slowly-

-I take it from you so you can focus on the noodles. I place four of the garlic bread pieces on the tray, evenly spread out so they cooked properly-
-Just as I finish up with that is when I hear you hiss in pain. My head snaps in your direction and I see you’re looking at your arm and pouting-
What happened?
-I ask urgently, striding over to you and taking your arm in my hands to look over the mark. I guide you toward the sink and turn on the water, doing my best to make it as close to room temperature as possible. I pull your arm beneath the stream, making sure it covers the mark-
Are you ok?

*chuckles softly then goes to grab the baking sheet, setting it out for you*
This size works, right?
*Shuffles back to stir the pasta and the noodles, turning the heat off for the noodles. Attaches the strainer to the top of the pot and carefully shuffles to the sink, straining the noodles. Puts the pan back on the stove, hissing softly in pain when I accidentally touch my arm to the hot pan*
Oops...
*Lower lip juts out, raising my arm to look at the little burn mark*

-steps to the freezer, pulling out the garlic bread and stepping back over to the oven. I turn it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and set a time for about fifteen minutes-

I actually lurked more than made my presence known. I’ve been here since the twenty-first of October. Then again, you weren’t really looking for me, right? You were occupied elsewhere.
It really was because you were sad. It tugged on my heartstrings and being the softie that I am… I felt like I needed to approach you. I did debate with myself on whether or not it was a good idea. I didn’t want you to be weirded out by some random guy you hadn’t had a conversation with popping out of the blue. Hopefully, you don’t mind me approaching you? I would feel awful if you’re just entertaining me for tonight.

I place it in the skillet, seasoning it with Italian seasoning, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and a drizzle of olive oil. I turn the burner onto mediums-high heat and rummage through a nearby drawer for a spatula-

Well, homemaking it does require more work, so, let’s just use the jar this time. We’ll save your fingers from being nicked. Next time we want to make spaghetti we can make it from scratch. Sound good?
-I reach for the jar and a pot, popping open the lid effortlessly and dumping the sauce inside the pot. I turn to the sink and out a small splash of water inside. I place the lid back on and shakes the jar to get the excess sauce out. When I feel as though I’m successful, I remove the lid and dump the remaining sauce into the pot-
Don’t wanna waste~ Oh! Nearly forgot, I have to wash my hands.
-returns to the sink and turns on the water to a warmer setting. I pump some soap into my hands and scrub them diligently-
