A mystical force known as Kavana, resides in all native life forms and flora in the Xenari galaxy. It's an energy field created by all life that binds everything in the galaxy together. Droids, Androids and other artificial constructs existed outside of Kavana. There are two types of Kavana, cosmic and living. Cosmic Kavana is where Living Kavana comes from, as well as midichlorians (microscopic organelles). As such, the two represent life, death, rebirth, and everything in between, transcending space and time and directly determining someone's fate or destiny. Midichlorians directly connected sentient beings with Kavana, communicating the will of Cosmic Kavana to them, meaning nothing happened in the galaxy by accident, good or bad.

Just like the Earthly concept of Yin and Yang, Kavana also has two sides. The light side, often referred to as Ashla, and the dark side, often referred to as Bogan, or simply The Shadow. Sentient beings that have the ability to wield Kavana are collectively known as Anarkians. Those that managed to master wielding both, albeit extremely rare, were referred to as Grey. There are only 6 known Grey Anarkians.

Coming from a different galaxy, Earthborn humans do not innately have Kavana within them, however, prolonged exposure in the Xenari galaxy has given them low levels of midichlorians like the rest of the species. While Kavana resides in all life, most have such low levels of midichlorians that they can't access it or even feel it. In death, you become one with Cosmic Kavana, which in turn gave power to Living Kavana, which communicated the will of Cosmic Kavana through the midichlorians, keeping the two sides in a bond that never ends. Every lifeform has an echo in Kavana, allowing those attuned to sense each other. This also meant that the deceased could preserve themselves and communicate intelligently as Spirits.

Midichlorians were tested using blood sample analysis. The resulting number, also known as M-Count, was used to gauge an individual's potential in Kavana. Most beings have an average of 1,200 — 5,000 midichlorians per cell. Anarkians have an average of 10,000 — 15,000 per cell. Luxn Masters, High Council members and Darth Lords have a higher average of 15,000 — 20,000 per cell. Extremely rare, there are only 5 recorded Anarkians with higher counts. The highest recorded count was 40,000 midichlorians. Kavana sensitivity could be passed down from parent to offspring, but there is no rhyme or reason, and there can be varying levels within a single family, with some being deemed an Anarkian and others not.

A Vergence, sometimes also referred to as a Locus, is a naturally occurring high concentration of Kavana, usually localised around a specific place or sometimes whole planets. They generally appeared in places of great importance to the galaxy, and Anarkians were more easily attuned to Kavana, amplifying their abilities. These locations could also obscure the presence of Anarkians, making them more difficult to sense.

A Kavabond is a powerful psychic connection between two Anarkians that allowed them to communicate through Kavana both visually and emotionally. There is no known range for this bond, meaning it can cross planets and systems, and even galaxies. They can manifest in each other's location, making it possible to see, hear and even feel each other through their bond, and on rare occasions teleport matter between them. Kavabonds are a neutral phenomenon that can exist between any kind of Anarkian, the stronger the Anarkians, the stronger the bond. However, a strong bond can hallucinations should something happen to one of them.

A Dyad is an extremely rare type of Kavabond that bonded the two Anarkians as one in Kavana. This type of bond is unbreakable, and amplified both Anarkians powers, even allowing them to physically touch through their Kavabond. They were also able to utilize Kavana healing to such a degree that, should one of them die, the other can resurrect them with their own Kavana energy, albeit at the cost of their own life.

Anarkians are, both consciously and inherently, able to amplify their natural endurance and athleticism. This allowed for increased speed, coordination and acrobatic maneuvers including the ability to run on walls. Anarkians also have the ability to sedate or induce sleep. Anarkians that use Kavana for good and desctuction, or have a balance, have additional abilities and powers.

⟣ Telekinesis: the ability to move or manipulate objects

⟣ Mind Trick: the ability to influence thoughts and actions of another individual with a weak mind

⟣ Visions: the ability to see into the past, the future, or other places

⟣ Mind Probe: a power that allows the user to search the thoughts of another. this power can be resisted, and powerful Anarkians can even reverse the effects and see into the user.

⟣ Sense: the ability to feel another being's feelings or disturbances in Kavana by impending danger, traumatic events, or the presence of The Obscura.

⟣ Spirit: the ability to retain consciousness after death, allowing the deceased to intelligently communicate with other Anarkians.

⟣ Echo: the ability to acquire information about people or events associated with an object or place simply by touching or entering it

⟣ Projection: the ability to display lifelike images of oneself across the galaxy. this is a rare ability and comes with great strain to the user, sometimes proving fatal if they're not strong enough

⟣ Healing: the ability to heal injuries and remove poisons by transferring energy, which can be recovered by resting or meditating. Only a dyad can resurrect, albeit at the cost of their own life.

users draw on intense negative emotions such as fear, hatred, anger, and the desire for greater power. the most common ability is to use Kavana to choke another. other abilities include:

⟣ Lightning: the ability to emit pure Kavana in the form of electricity from their fingers. only powerful Anarkians have this ability.

⟣ Focused Rage: the ability to increase the user's aggression and potency while simultaneously decreasing the damage they sustained. only powerful Anarkians have this ability.

⟣ Manipulation: the ability to manipulate midichlorians to create life. this is an extremely rare ability and only a Darth Lord is powerful enough.

⟣ Healing: the ability to heal injuries and remove poisons by transferring energy, which can be recovered by resting or meditating. Only a dyad can resurrect, albeit at the cost of their own life.
