Yixing hesitantly followed the girl, and slowly followed her instructions to say he was confused to arrive in a room with instruments and music sheets, in what looked liked Bora's house, Yixing couldn't help but feel slightly awkward. As Bora sat down to play, Yixing blinked curiously as he watched her hands move. The girl had a nice voice, but something about it sounded strange. As if she was nervous. The way her fingers danced along the ivory and ebony keys had Yixing awkwardly wondering if he was the sole person to have heard this piece because she seemed hesitant to play it. Still, the song sounded nice, and Yixing let himself relax in the slightest bit. Getting up, her stood behind her, and placed a hand on her shoulder, watching the way she played. He wouldn't use that kind of , but he didn't comment.
(( ... we probably shouldn't be in the restaurant anymore. ))
@zhang yixing Bora nodded, then led Yixing to her house a few blocks down. She kept her eyes forward the whole way, not looking at him. As they got there she unlocked the door and placed her stuff of a table, leading him to a small locked room that held a piano, guitar and various sheets of music. "Sit.." she said softly, motioning to a couch in the room. Without waiting to see if he would or not Bora made her way to the piano, picking her most recent composition. She had never told or shown anyone that she wrote songs, they were for her ears only, but something about the way Yixing's face looked when she brought up his painting made her decide to let him hear it. She sang as she played, keeping her eyes on the sheet music the entire time, too nervous to even glace at him. She didnt know what his reaction was right now but she hoped he at least didnt think she was horrible.
Yixing finally spared her a wary glance, but didn't say anything. He pondered the thought for a moment, before hesitantly nodding, "Sure, why not?" he replied, arching a curious eyebrow. Yixing felt mean for rejecting her previous request, but he couldn't accept that one thing. If anything, he would never, ever, do that. It could happen by accident, but he would never purposefully walk into something like that. He was too guarded for that.
@zhang yixing "Can I show you something?" Bora asked. She could see Yixing was still thinking of the whole paintings thing and she wanted him to let it go. She just wanted him to smile again which was weird, she normally didnt feel that way about people but she hated seeing his face look so somber and serious, compared to the amused smile he'd had on all night.
@yoon bora But he wasn't lying, he wanted to say Yixing tended to ruin things because of how he was, and he just didn't really know what to do right now. How was he supposed to react to this now? The last thing he'd think of was to spare another's feelings, Yixing spoke his mind. Yixing let his eyes flicker in the direction of the bright cratered orb that juxtaposed itself in the night sky. He allowed the terrible subject change again, "It is..."
@zhang yixing "Its okay, you dont have to lie...I;m sorry for prying. I shouldnt have asked." Bora replied, frowning. She felt as if Yixing was just trying to spare her feelings, which made her feel worse. She wished she had just left things alone and kept shut. "The moon looks really nice tonight." she said as she tried to change the subject to something else.
Yixing closed his fist around his necklace, and took a breath, "No, you didn't say anything wrong. You didn't do anything wrong either. It's not you; it's me." It sounded like some sort of cheesy break up, but it wan't. Yixing wasn't exactly shutting out the girl, but this was why he hated getting close to people. He wasn't comfortable with getting to know another person, and letting them know too much about him. It was dangerous. Humans are selfish, they all are, and this was just Yixing's own way of attempting to keeping himself in solitude.
@zhang yixing "Why? Did...did I say or do something wrong?" Bora asked, biting her lower lip. Yixing refused to look at her and she felt like he was shutting down on her completely. She didnt know what she had done to make him act this way but she wished she hadnt.
@yoon bora Yixing didn't turn around. He refused to make eye contact with her right now. The brunette didn't want to take her there, in all honesty. He wasn't used to people looking at his artwork in his presence. There was something about it that seemed to carve down all his walls, and scrutinize his inner being. It frightened him, but his strong figure didn't show that. Yixing ran a hand through his hair, and exhaled softly, keeping his eyes locked on the landscape before him. "... you can go now, but I'm not coming with you." he answered. He toyed with his necklace, gripping the chain, I can't come with you, he added silently.
@zhang yixing "Can we go now? I...i want to be able to see the person who painted them as I look at them." Bora said, looking over at Yixing. She didnt know why but it seemed like for every wall of his she was able to break down he put up ten more. She didnt know what could have happened to have made him that way but she couldnt judge. She had plenty walls of her own. She just felt like everytime she was about to unravel a mystery about him he would pull away again, giving her another cryptic message that would leave her confused and wondering what he could possibly mean.
@yoon bora Yixing raised an eyebrow at the question, and hummed lightly to himself, not looking at Bora. He could have pretended that he didn't hear her. He could have pretended that he was alone again. He could of pretended that meeting Bora was a figment of his imagination. That she never asked about him, that they never actually met this evening; but he didn't. Yixing didn't want to push away someone who's paid attention to him for the past few hours, instead of treating him as an outcast. They'd revert to their normal lives the next day. It wouldn't matter. And she'd probably forget. "... go to a museum," he mumbled. "And find them."
@zhang yixing Bora nodded, finally understanding Yixing's comparisons to colors. "Would you ever show me any of you paintings?" she asked, not expecting him to say yes. He would probably just ignore her or straight out refuse. He seemed like the kind of person who would just hide his best pieces of work for himself.
@yoon bora Yixing hummed lightly, and fiddled with his watch, "I assume that you know that I'm a dancer, so I'll tell you that I'm an artist," he told her, absently kicking at a stray pebble on the ground. "I'm someone who makes simple colors become magnificent pieces of art that people look at and attempt appreciation of art." Yixing said, arching an eyebrow. "Do you understand?"
@zhang yixing "Well...what occupation do you like the most?" Bora asked, looking over at him and wondering just how many jobs he could have. She wondered briefly if she would ever get to know everything about him but seriously doubted it. He seemed like the kind of person who valued the air of mystery around him and treasured it greatly.
@yoon bora The brunette shrugged, and chuckled lightly. If there is a next; it crossed his mind, but he didn't voice it aloud. Yixing shoved his hands into his pockets as they exited the restaurant, and pursed his lips. Tell her about himself? Well, Yixing wasn't one to actually reveal things about himself unless pressed for a purpose, but the brunette shook it off, deciding to not be so strict with his rules just this one time. It was just his profession after all. Yixing ran his fingers through his hair, "It depends on which occupation you're talking about," he replied, hinting briefly at his multiple careers.
@zhang yixing Bora laughed softly as Yixing pushed the money back and shook her head. "I'm paying next time though." She said as he hummed to himself. "Sure, let go for a walk." She replied as she stood up. She welcomed the cold air outside as they left the restaurant and she looked over at him. "So Yixing, tell me about yourself. What do you do for a living?" She asked curiously, realizing she knew some thing about him but didn't even know his profession though she guessed it had something to do with dancing.
@yoon bora Yixing raised an amused eyebrow, and pushed the money back to Bora before paying for the both of them. If he was with a girl, he couldn't let her pay. That was against his own mentality, but he wondered if Bora would fuss about it. Yixing glanced out the window, and hummed to himself. Truthfully? He would want to be at home slaving himself over another piece of artwork or something of the sort. "Hmmm, wanna just go for a walk?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
@zhang yixing "Hmm...okay then." Bora said as she placed money on the table for the meal. She didnt want to press him if he didnt want to share what was bothering him. She wondered what he was chuckling about as she finished her gelato. "What would you like to do now Yixing?" she aske, looking over at him. She was curious to see what kind of place he would pick, considering all he'd shown her tonight. She could never tell how he was going to react next and it intrigued her.
@yoon bora Sweet and sour, yet it numbs your tongue? Yixing chuckled. If even she described herself as such, then the colour that he selected for the girl as a first impression was definitely accurate He couldn't help but have that tiny bit of pride poke at him. Yixing shook his head, "Nah, nothing's wrong. I'm fine... perfectly fine." he replied. He didn't know if he sounded sure or not, but he didn't relly know what he would even tell Bora if she pressed it.
@zhang yixing "Yeah, its kinda like me. Sweet but sour and numbs your tongue if you have too much." Bora said, talking half to herself, half to Yixing. His comparisons of her to paint and colors must be wearing off on her she thought to herself as he sighed. "Is something wrong?" she asked, looking over at him, seeing his overcast face. It seemed like something was bothering him and she didnt like seeing him looking so down.
@yoon bora As Yixing received his order, he glanced over at Bora, who really seemed to be into her gelato. He really couldn't figure why someone would like that in all honestly. It wasn't that it was sweet, Yixing just didn't like it. But he knew better than to judge someone for what they like. It was like himself and that nagging aesthetic that made him so different from everyone else. Some sort of outcast. The brunette sighed softly, and began to eat his ice cream, "You must really like that," he remarked, after putting his spoon down.
@zhang yixing "Alright vanilla ice cream it is." Bora said, ordering it for Yixing while ordering a pineapple gelato for herself. She couldnt see what possible reason he could have for not liking the sugary sweet treat. Maybe it was just too sugary for him she decided as the waiter returned with their order. She smiled, closing her eyes as she took a bite of her gelato in pure bliss. "Mmmm~."
@yoon bora Yixing chuckled, with a playful wink, "My stomach is a bottomless pit; you tell me if I can finish all that." But, please, Yixing's finished a meal for four all by himself before, and a meal for ten with two of his friends. The brunette's stomach was seriously a bottomless pit. "But, I think I'll just go with something small," he grinned, "I don't want to throw up, because I ate too much, and the alcohol I consumed /will/ make that happen if I eat too much. Vanilla ice cream for me."
@zhang yixing They have really good brownie sundaes." Bora replied, seeing the look on Yicings face when she mentioned gelato. She figured he probably didn't like it and she flipped through the menu looking for something else. "The rest of their desserts are more for couples who come here so they're really big. Unless you think you can eat all of that." Bora said as she showed him a picture of some of the larger couple desserts.
