Mei Xin, blinked her eyes a few time, quite surprised that the man in white coat spoke her mother language. She couldn't help but let out a sigh in relief hearing him speak. It has been ages since she last talked to someone in Mandarin and truthfully, she missed it. But then again, it was the doctor she is going to interact with and so she thought there would nothing be something interesting to talk to him since they will probably just talk about her current condition, and it somehow disappointed her.

When he had finally put down his papers to look at her with a forced smile just for formality, she couldn't help but think where she had seen his face. Not that he looks really handsome, well yeah he is, but he looked so familiar to her. She didn't know him but she was quite sure she had seen him before. She was dismissed from her thoughts when he spoke to her about overworking and Mei Xin just shrug in response. "Where will I be discharged?" She asked nonchalantly, not wanting to spend another day, or even an hour on that room. "Just tell me the medications
I need to take and I'll drink them on time."

As soon as she opened her eyes, Mei Xin found herself lying on a bed with an iv drip on her wrist. She looked around and saw her secretary sitting on a couch on the side. The woman looked restless, but having an eye contact with Mei Xin she jumped from her seat and immediately went to her. "Miss Jin, you collapsed while you were in the middle of a checking the operations of the manufacturing section. The doctor will be back to check on you in a few minutes." The younger female explained shortly, at least that's what she knew. Feeling grateful for her kindness, Mei Xin let out a soft smile on her assistant. "Thank you for your concern, Mary. You must be tired watching over me. Go get some rest too. We still have a big day to prepare for next week. I can take care of myself." She told the younger in reassurance, who was actually hesitant on leaving her. Yes, she might be thankful for having her there but Mei Xin isn't the type of person who wanted to be taken cared of by anyone. It makes her feel so uncomfortable, making her remember her past as an orphan who was enslaved by her own aunt, as an independent teenager who worked for different jobs and lastly for becoming a dirty little secret of a multi-millionaire CEO who have brought her to where she is now. "It's ok. Now go." Her secretary knew that Mei Xin wasn't the type of person who likes repeating herself and so she immediately collected her things and bowed at her before leaving.

Once she was alone, Mei Xin looked outside the window with a worried mind, sighing. The day of the launching of her new collection was fast approaching but then there she is, confined in a private suite in a hospital instead of making sure that each and every of her employees are doing their job perfectly well. Her reputation and the name of her lingerie house is at stake here and so no one can actually blame her for overworking herself and that meant skipping meals, being overstressed and having lack of sleep. But that's just not it. Mei Xin was trying to do several things at once, just to distract herself from being reminded of the things that she went through before finally achieving her current respected status. She knows she couldn't do anything to change it, and so she just keeps on telling herself to not look back and just continue moving forward.

Realizing she had been thinking too much once again, Mei Xin dismissed her bothering thoughts and glanced at her watch. "When the is the doctor coming? I have to get the hell out of here as soon as possible." She muttered under her breath in annoyance, getting impatient in getting back to work.
