@Choi Seunghyun This was pointless. This was absolutely pointless, but it had to be done. Knowing her luck what she was looking for would be two or three shelves down from where she would have stopped at the point of giving up. Or if the universe was truly rude to her then the book that she had been sneaking for was right under her nose this entire time. Of course Emma didn't think that anything could be unluckier than waking up in a foreign country you pretty much knew nothing about. The last thing that she remembered was sitting in her home office as she worked on a storyboard for an important issue of the fashion magazine she worked for and then she woke up to find herself in a large, expensive prison cell. How in the world did they get er there any way? Wasn't it at least a fifteen hour flight including a layover? Suddenly Emma heard a hushed voice from somewhere above. There was a second level? With a look over her shoulder the woman saw an elaborate stair case. "!" She mouthed and moved closer to the windows. At least if they looked down they wouldn't be able to see her, but if they came downstairs then she was ed. If literally Emma couldn't quite say. The only person that she had ever seen since waking up in her room was the maid that had brought her each of her meals. Pushing the thought of the voice out of her mind, Emma focused on trying to find the dictionary she needed. A moment later she nearly jumped out of her skin when she heard a deep man's voice quite close to her. As Emma did that she turned towards it, a hand over her heart. The man that was speaking to her of course didn't make any sense. he moment Emma thought she recognized a word another syllable followed that made her head spin. God... Why did she study fashion instead of languages? That was her second option for a career. Emma hadn't regretted her decision once, but now that she was in this bizarre situation she was. Greatly. Blinking, the young woman took a step back and slowly spoke in English. "I-I'm sorry, but I do not understand. Do you speak English? Or is there somebody who does? Isn't South Korea a forward country? There has to be somebody here that can tell me what is going on!" Emma doubted that the tall good looking man before her had any idea what she was saying, but it was worth a shot.
@Emma Watson Seunghyun needed some type of escape from being the head knight of the palace and dealing with all the crazy antics the residents did on a daily specifically the king who seemed to have a death wish with his constant sneaking out unprotected when so many want him dead. His room was the easiest place to find him but not many ventured off to library which is exactly where he currently was listening to chatter from the other knights and guards around the palace in his ear piece choosing to only get involved if something serious came up. Sitting on the second floor facing an open window not minding the cold air as he shifted through pictures of him and his sister in his phone smiling to himself at each one. Lingering on the last picture he had taken with her a couple months before her death with watery eyes not able to let them fall being the man he was now it was a difficult task to even cry. "Seunghyun sir the foreign mistress is missing from her room." Some guard hollered frantically on the other end of his earpiece bringing him from his personal moment. "Why are you yelling in my direct line before asking around if anyone has seen her or is escorting her?" Closing the pictures on his phone he stood up from the chair walking towards the balcony over looking the downstairs of the library. "There is a knocked out maid in her room sir!" Seunghyun stopped and placed his hand on the railing of the balcony sighing deeply at this news. Just as he was about to call for an immediate shut down on the whole palace for the third time this week his eyes landed on a foreign woman that fit the description of the mistress bare foot and looking at the books in the library. "I will handle it just take the maid to the infirmary and keep your mouth shut about this." He whispered into his ear piece before turning it off. Releasing his hold on the railing his eyes stayed on the foreign woman finding her to be beautiful even in her current confused facial expression as she looked among the many books. Making his way quietly down the winding stairs he stood at the bottom keeping his eyes on her. "My Lady are you in need of some help?" He asked as he bowed his head slightly and walked towards her in a calm manner. "You are without shoes and look as if you had been running for a while." Glancing at her bare feet as he stood in front of her waiting for a response.
@Choi Seunghyun Without any relocation of where she was, Emma ran bear foot through what she now understood was an estate. She had lost track of how many days she had been locked up in what she was told was /her/ overly lavish room. If Emma hadn't been told that she was in Seoul then she would have thought that she was in Buckingham Palace. The Great Britain native had a lot of questions and they where not being given to her. The only way she could think to find some answers was to get out and find them herself. The only time that she could manage that was when the maid came to give her a meal. So once she got the courage up she knocked the woman out and made a run for it. After what was the twenty person that Emma had to hide from went around the corner she opened the door and blindly stepped inside. A smile appeared on the woman's face when she saw a mass of books in front of her. 'Finally! Maybe something's in here! Maybe an Oxford English to Korean dictionary...' she thought to herself in case anybody was also in the library. Because she couldn't tell fiction from non-fiction she simply looked at a book on every section of a shelf to get an idea of what she was looking at. Why couldn't she wake up somewhere in France or maybe even North East Africa. They speak French. She spoke French. But Korean? Hell no! Sure she knew a couple words from the maid that had brought her countless plates of food that she'd never had before, but that was it. Once she found what she was looking for she'd take it back to her room and hide it somewhere. She had to learn the language somehow.
@Choi Seunghyun "Yah! You can't do that!" She yelled after him as he walked off with her phone. Whining and stomping her feet, she ruffled her hair and went about her business of cleaning up after the king, queen, and the mistresses. She wondered if the threat he laid out earlier still stood because she was wanting to meet a guy she had been seeing for awhile since Seunghyun didn't seem to care for her feelings all that much. When the time finally came she went to meet the other knight only to find out that the threat went through. Angry and pissed, she headed straight for his room and banged on the door. "Yah! I'm here to get my phone! Open up" She yelled, not caring if anyone else heard her. She was upset that he actually had the nerve to go scare off her for the night. She was going to make him suffer for that.
@Lee Chaerin It took a lot of inner strength not to take that phone from her and break it into pieces as she ignored his authority and continued to keep texting even after she was discovered. "What you see as pleasure is my discomfort." He calmly spoke as he watched her complain about his royal highness. "It's your job to pick up after him just do it and keep from crossing the king, he seems to be going through a rough patch." He walked closer to her swiftly taking hold of her wrist caging her to his chest. "I feel honored to be a kings knight, I am the best and will make sure that knight your suppose to meet later will avoid you like a disease." He whispered in a deadly tone not liking that he actually entertained the thought of telling the king how he really felt about him, she was messing with his head and it annoyed him. Sliding his hand in her pockets he retrieved her phone before letting her go. "My eyes are everywhere Chaerin and I get jealous when another knight touches you." He slid her phone in his pant pocket. "If you want your phone back come to my bedroom tonight and show me how much you want it." He waved as he walked away.
@Choi Seunghyun Chaerin had a bad day, from cleaning up the king's quarters to the kitchen and everywhere in between. She was upset. How dare he order her around like that. Finally when she caught a break, she went into the library and up to the second floor, where she always went and pulled out her phone. Sure, it was against the rules for her to have it, but she didn't care. Mumbling curses under her breath, she started typing on her phone to get her frustrations out. When she heard someone address her, she looked up and her eyes widened a bit. "Seunghyun. What a pleasure" She said and went back to texting her frustrations out. "You heard right. But it's just because I had to clean up his mes. Would it hurt for him to pick up a little after himself? Or not piss off his mistresses to where they damage property and I have to clean it?" She said to him just as sternly. She felt nothing towards the man in front of her. He had hurt her so much it made her cold. She was seeing another knight later to help get over the pain and hatred she felt for the place in which she worked. Looking at the text, she read it over and sighed feeling better and deleted it. "Don't you ever have the nerve to tell the king how you really feel?" She asked him as she put her phone away.
@Lee Chaerin Seunghyun was doing his usual rounds walking the grounds, castle, and outer walls doing inspection and checking up on all the employees in the castle especially the ones he didn't trust or rubbed him the wrong way. Leaving the ballroom he made his way inside the library. It was quiet and peaceful as always, the sunlight beamed down on the books and intricate marble flooring giving it a serene look to it reminding Seunghyun why this was one of his favorite rooms in the castle. Running his hands over the binds of the books deep in his own thoughts he stopped hearing the sound of texting and mutterings of cursing and defaming the king being spoken on the second floor of the library. Raising his eyebrow in curiosity he silently made his way up the short flight of stairs looking for the person. "Chaerin?" He looked surprised to see a maid he knew well to be texting on her cell and if he heard right talking disrespectfully about his highness. "You know the rules no cellphones on inside the castle for maids and servants." He sharply stated over looking his regret of having hurt her in the past so much that he lets her get off easier when she does things like this. "Are you alone up here if so were you taking badly about his royal highness...you do know that counts as treason?" His tone remained stern.
@Junhyung "Why should they be allowed to have boyfriends? Or find happiness in this place when I can't?" He retorted before raising a brow. "Is there a mistress that you fancy?" He questioned watching his 2nd in command ask it so easily. "They already sleep with the others and them. Just like I'm allowed to see who I wish. I don't see the problem with it." He said leaning back in his chair forgetting about the book on the table.
@Junhyung "They're women. Women fight. They knew what it meant to be a mistress." He rolled his eyes again before looking to him. "You want me to consider their feelings when I don't even consider my own? The day that happens is the day I step down from the throne, but you and I both know thats not possible." He muttered pushing the file away.
@Junhyung Ji Yong was reading something that bored him, but he was forced to read it. When he heard the second in command come into the room he looked up bored then back at his books. "What about the mistresses? That they aren't getting along?" He rolled his eyes looking at the file. Taking a glance at it, set it back down and went back to the book not seeming to care about it.
Ga In is leaving---
I kind of don't want to take up the space since I'm not that active here and I'm getting busier.
Sorry! <3
I really enjoyed being here :)
I hope to return one day when things are less hectic---
