〈 ASTRONOMY CLASSROOM 〉

ASTRONOMY

Astronomy is a subject taught at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. It is a required subject for first to fifth years but can be dropped in the sixth year. Aurora Sinistra was the Astronomy teacher at Hogwarts. Astronomy classes take place in the top-most level of the Astronomy Tower, the tallest tower in Hogwarts Castle, and include sky observation sessions with telescopes (each student has to buy one of his/her own). Astronomy is one of the only fields of study at Hogwarts which has a direct equivalent in the Muggle world. Known student activities include learning the names of stars, constellations, and planets, as well as their location and movements, and describing the environments of planets and moons.

@( g ) naeun It was another evening for an Astronomy class. Fixing the strap of his bag on his shoulder, Yoongi walked into the class among the others student of his year. He didn't dislike Astronomy, but it didn't mean he like it either. There were sometimes when he think Astronomy wasn't very important. And that day was one of the time when he didn't feel like studying Astronomy. So as he pursed his lips a bit, Yoongi chose to seat not in the front frow like how he used to be. It was only in the third row, but for someone like Yoongi it would make a big different. He has a decent brain above the average of course, he's a Ravenclaw after all. He also liked to study and he liked to compete with others, but unfortunately good grades were never on his side. The other student—moreover from his house—were always better than him that's why he had to always study harder. But again, he just didn't really feel like paying attention to the class at the moment.

He sighed lightly after he pulling out textbook and telescope from his bag. Stretching out his leg a bit, he leaned back to his seat and waited for the class to start. There were still a bunch of students coming into class. Yoongi's eyes observed them almost one by one. Because he didn't feel like paying attention to the class that day, maybe he would just watching everyone around him. It would always be as fun as studying, Yoongi thought to himself. He liked to observe people, he couldn't even explain why. He just liked to silently watch people talking with each other, and laughing, and all. After satisfied enough to watch two girls in front of him giggling to each other and probably checking out some boys, he averted his gaze to a bunch of Gryffindors who just walked into the class and a light smile was forming on his lips as he spotted a girl among them. Among all of the people he liked to observe, this girl was his most favorite.

@( h ) suzy What had made the girl to winch in pain was still an unknown fact, but he realized that the girl in front of him had undoubtedly fell down the stairs which left her unconscious. After the slight contact, Sehun saw her struggling to get up but it seemed too painfully hard for her. He checked if she was injured, but thankfully he didn't spot any signs of blood. Though, the risk of having her bones to break or some bruises is still possible. He's not that good in emergency help except CPR- which he finds not that useful as he hears her stable breath- so be decided to help her out, shrugging before scooping her in his arms. "Let's get you out of here, shall we?" he asked, although rather talking to himself as the girl gets back to the state where he found her, unconscious. He forgot everything about getting his key, which he can ask for help from Baekhyun later, as he props the female in his arms. He's not that strong when lifting weight, but the girl was incredibly light and he sighed in relief as he brings her down the stairs. Sehun took a good look at her. He might have seen her somewhere, but he wasn't so sure. Her pale lips reminded him that he must hurry up and send her to infirmary as soon as possible. The cold night was approaching as the wind blows past him, letting him shiver a little. It must have been the same for the stranger too, he thought, as he covers her with his jacket he took out from his bag.

{ We can continue in infirmary I guess. o u o }

@( s ) sehun The poke to her side aroused a slight opening of Suji's eyes, and though her sight wasn't very clear, clouded with confusion and distress, she made out the figure of a male kneeling by her side. With enough concentration, the features of his face registered in her brain yet turned out to draw a blank. She didn't recognize this boy at all, and she wanted to know why he was even speaking to her, the fact that she had just rolled down a flight of stairs completely disregarded by her senses. Her head rolled slightly to the side, dropping onto her arm as her eyes fought to stay open. Though her hair had fanned out in front of her face, she managed to retain sight of the male, continuing to wonder what was actually happening. Slowly, her mind began to tingle with recognition as she saw her finger twitch, signaling the feeling throughout the rest of her body to return, inch by inch. She attempted to roll over a little, but a wince spread across her face noticeably once she felt the pain strike her hip. Vague remembrance of her tumble down the stairs caught her by surprise, making her suddenly feel bad for the male who was so confused by what had happened, why she was lying on the ground as if she were dead. Embarrassed that she had failed to do something as simple as walk down the stairs, she would simply stand up, thank the male for his concern, and retire to the common house, but as she tried to weakly prop herself up onto her elbow, a sting shrieked through her muscles and caused her to flop back onto the ground, which was slowly becoming cold once more. Suji’s awareness slipped away from her a little, and though she tried to stay awake, she felt herself fading away again.

@( h ) suzy Sehun had just gotten back from one of his Quidditch practice one particular day, finding his way to somewhere rather deserted just to be alone. Beads of sweat was forming on his forehead as he rests himself on a bench, fanning himself with his hand. He was exhausted, annoyed and hungry, and the combination of the three had gotten him to groan loudly to himself. Clearly he wasn't in any of his best moods. Around this time of the day, most of the students are already back in their dorms, and the first thought that Sehun has after thinking of where he's going to go next, he remembered that he left his closet key in the astronomy class earlier today. He groaned again in displeasure. "Great," he grumbled, getting up from the bench with his bag hung on his shoulder. Sehun made his way to the Astronomy tower, running mindlessly, not wanting to be there when it gets darker.

As he went up the stairs, he looked outside. The sun was slowly disappearing, leaving the skies with the slowly darkening color. He really didn't want to end up getting locked in the tower either, so he went up quicker. He didn't really notice it at first, but as he make one of the few steps before the last staircase to the Astronomy class, he saw a figure, laying unconscious on the floor. He widened his eyes, thinking it was something else (that isn't human), but he eyed the figure closely. It's certainly a female, hair falling in front of her face. Sehun panicked for the first time, not knowing what to do. What exactly happened to her? He ran up close, kneeling near her, poking her side. "M-miss...?"

The sun was slowly setting, molding itself into the horizon and streaking the evening sky with delicate shades of pink and orange. The seemingly brightening light formed a mirage of incessant hope and optimism that lasted only a mere second before the chimera of unattainable joy began to fight the bleak darkness that trickled out from beneath the gradually disappearing glow. Magnanimously, the patches of color sprawled into the monochromatic shadows, seeping away through the dips in the horizon that were already waiting to receive it. The entire sight mocked Suji in the melancholy nature of having her only remaining source of comfort stripped from her, leaving her all alone to fight back the urge of just giving up. Numb from the initial shock of losing her father, she had already become impassive to what was going on around her, and with the entertaining dance of light having already ended, she decided there was no other reason for her to stay on top of the Astronomy Tower. Standing up from her seat on the floor, Suji turned towards the door leading down to the lower levels of the castle and started down the steps, but before she could feel her foot on the concrete, a dizziness from standing up too quickly took over her head. Dots clouded her vision, and before her hand made it to grip onto the railing, she was already tumbling down the steps, attempting - but to no avail - to figure out what was happening until her consciousness completely dissipated.

@( g ) miyoung How cowardly of Baekhyun to simply stand there where he stood, without being able to express what his thoughts were telling him to. He was stuck between the right and the wrong, in which he leans more on the wrong – to love someone so dearly, it destroys him. He didn’t exactly know if staying away from her was only fair; doing so would keep her from getting hurt as worse as she already was when he ended up things between the two of them, but what more of a pain would it cause them if he chooses to have the words he wanted to say simply as a painful, secret memory?

“Ah, is that so?” he mutters quietly, pretending as though he was taken away by the dusk. Well, he was partly so; but the other part of his brain were playing silly flashbacks of the memories of him and her – those times when their love seemed so sincere.

If anything, Baekhyun wouldn’t deny the fact that he wanted to fix things between him and Tiffany. To set things right, he’ll do anything. Yes, he intended to simply break her heart from the very beginning – to ruin her – but all those intent were washed away as soon as he realized how /hard/ he fell. Tiffany was different. Very different.

And so he decided to avoid her eyes. Those eyes that would probably bring him into spilling the beans – he could not afford that. Looking into her eyes were as though every secret of his was revealed to her. Will she be someone who could understand him? He had no idea. “Yes,” he breathes out, barely nodding his head. “Everything’s splendid.”

@( g ) miyoung The biggest mistake he had ever done was to let go of that someone whom he had the very possibility to end up with. Thing was, Tiffany was too nice; too nice that he feared to hurt her feelings. As if him breaking up with her all of a sudden wasn't so much of a pain to start with... but if she does find out about his (used to be) hidden intent, he bets his own share of treasure in Gringotts that she'd be in worse pain.

Yet here he was, standing just a few meters away from her. There she stood, looking as... beautiful as she had always been. He was stupid to even end things like that. Soon enough, he was already standing beside her. His eyes ahead of them, he leaned over the railings with an almost unfathomable expression.

Of roses and thorns, their love was.

"Ah, of course," he murmurs, nodding his head slowly as he stared at the darkening skies. And it was also dusk when he broke up with her. Was this of pure coincidence? Or was guilt playing a trick on him? "Do you often come here, still?" he then asks, breaking the silence.

@( g ) miyoung It wasn’t his time Astronomy class—in fact, he had Arithmecy class right now—but here he was, going up into the Astronomy tower. The place, until now, still brings him these weird… feeling. Not because he finds it too peaceful and quiet—but because visiting the place every now and then always reminded him of his past relationship with a certain Gryffindor female.

He wasn’t supposed to fall so hard. He told himself the feelings should not be sincere. It was a stupid idea to hurt an innocent female’s feelings just because he had a certain grudge against her house – for goodness’ sake, who would find that reasonable? – but in their relationship, he found himself actually loving her. And so he ended things between the two of them. It was better off like that, he says. He’s not the best man for her. He’ll just… end up hurting her.

But all the time, he finds himself visiting the Astronomy tower, in hope that he might see her there as well, since oftentimes it would be him to constantly avoid her around the castle. He’s a coward, alright. He can’t face his own feelings.

After for what seemed to be an eternal staircase, he was already in the tower. He was immediately welcomed by the approaching winter breeze. Wow, it was almost Christmas. The corner of his lips hitched up, reaching up to fix his now tousled hair, before he was finally aware of another presence in the tower. It was by then, when he realized who the person was; and so he approached her.

“So you’re here,” he speaks, barely even a whisper.
