missing one of my rps (my fantasy one i reopened recently) and what could have been for the characters i had in it and honestly... i think i'm bout 🤏 this close to moving it to another platform (jcink) bc even though you have to pay for premium features, i think it'll be worth it in the long run. i know it could have been great to write out the stories i had in mind for my characters and expand the lore/explore the world i built and see where all we end up storywise and stuff.

and while i enjoy the ease of discord rp and considered moving it there, discord is not built for rps with heavier info and is too compact (?) to really get done (never shutting up about the character limit), so jcink seems like a reasonable solution for this rp in particular. esp with the built in profiles/apps for the skin i'm using.

sometimes i wish what i was into wasn't as niche ig here though since this platform, despite its MANY flaws, is tailored to rping and you don't have to do many extra steps, buuuuuut it be what it be. i'll get it up on jcink in a few months and try again with a new crowd ig. i don't want to completely give up on these characters.

I just use discord and...literally any app with messaging since most of my rp's nowadays are 1x1 with friends. There basically no need for multiple rooms. Although I personally refuse to pay any site to play make believe XD

been on jcink before for rps. it's a good platform for more serious writing. only downside is the lack of updated chat function i think but it still works. if you're considering other platforms, mewe is a great one for more detailed rps with serious self-paced writers.

dude fr, the reason why i gave up writing on dc was because of the limitations. it's just simply not meant to be a rping platform tbh, which bcs we can all see the potential there. nevertheless, if rpr isn't cutting it for you/your rp, i'd say do whatever you think will be best. you'll be investing in a bit of money for premium features but if it gains traction, i'd say it's worth it in the long run!

I totally wholeheartedly agree with what you’re saying, and I want to give you their confidence to do that. Go to another platform! I personally use Tumblr, but it sounds like you’ve already got something in mind and by all means give it a shot. You can’t know until you try. Wishing you lots of luck and a happier future with partners who are just as passion as you are!
