We have some catching up to do.

I don't know if I can ever come back to this site fully but I'm going to give it a shot. Maybe an hour or two every night for social reasons.

Anyhow, I feel that I owe you guys an explanation for my absence, even though there really isn't one. I just am going through life and realizing that things like roleplaying are not a top priority...And after nine consecutive years of roleplaying every single day, I'm just tired and losing motivation to do it.

I believe I was last on in June...Maybe May? Idk.

Well since then a lot has happened.

I got a boyfriend. I broke my knee/femur. I lost my job. I'm trying to move out but not doing a very good job at it, whereas no one is wanting to hire me so I can have income. I'm surviving because I claw my way through by riding horses for people, though coming back from seven weeks off due to the broken bones I have NO money and it is very discouraging. For a while there I legitimately thought I might have to sell my horse, get rid of my dog, and go live in my car or something.

So like...One thing at a time. In order,

Starting with boyfriend. He's great. We've been dating for three months now. He's got horses, is an IT tech operations manager/various other technical jobs I don't understand, short as but that's okay because I'm short too. He had to take care of me while I was broken because I couldn't drive myself anywhere. He lives an hour away and would drive to get me, then bring me home, to the doctor, etc. It was ridiculous and I am so thankful for that.

Moving on to the knee, that was bad. I was horse camping. We were on a ride and the horse in front of me kicked. I pulled my horse out of the way, she jumped away, I got kicked in the knee, fell off, and vomitted a couple times. Had a large chunk missing from my knee cap, bled for nine hours straight through three towels and two bandages. I have some super bloody pictures but I'll spare you and just post this cute one of me in camp after we FINALLY got the bleeding to stop. 

I stayed the last night in camp (because I'm stupid and stubborn as ), rode twice (very painfully, but again with the stupid and stubborn) and learned that I have the pain tolerance of someone with cut nerve endings. Turns out it was an open joint fracture of the knee cap and then a broken femur. Thankfully, the way it broke made it so I could still bear weight on it. Surgery, a night in the hospital, and booted back into reality in the world's most uncomfortable knee brace, a set of crutches, and a LOT of vicodin. 

I am coming on to week three of being brace-free and able to ride again. I went to race and we ed up, bad. My horse is sore and stiff in the neck which is making her unable to perform. it ing figures that I come off seven weeks, and now we're looking at another month or two (if not more) for her to be able to get back to work. Sigh.

Losing my job wasn't exciting. After I broke my knee I suppose my boss just decided I was disposable and he didn't need me around anymore. I called him the minute I was cleared to ride, and he won't have me back. He then had the nerve to call me and practically demand that I come over immediately, when I was out with the boyfriend, and got all pissy when I told him I wasn't going to make it. I don't respond to a whistle at a moment's notice; I'm not a ing dog.
