The tv series is now going to spoil the ending of the books

I have been reading the books for 9 years and waiting patiently for the end. I have not spoiled things for fans of the show and have for the most part enjoyed watching the series but this is the last ing straw.

People can say whatever they want about 'fanboy/fangirl rage' but the truth is that there is no damn series without the books. And all of this 'turnabout is fair play to those spoiling the series for us who haven't read the books' isn't exactly fair either. I haven't done that and it isn't like the books are new by any means. The first one came out in 95 and I myself have been a fan for nearly a decade. That is like ing at someone for spoiling the ending of the 6th Sense. The movie has been out FOREVER.

Fans of the show being douchebags is a completely different topic though.

I really wish they would reconsider this course of action because as a fan this just sort of breaks my heart. I love the world that was created first in the novels and enjoyed watching it (for the most part) come to life on the small screen. Of course I have my fangirl nitpicks but I also realize it could never follow the books 100percent so I embraced it but really I had supported the whole thing. I just think that releasing the end for the people who watch the show first essentially s on the fans of the novels which had come out first. Many of these people have been waiting as long as I have or more for this and it deeply upsets me that this is the way it ends. After the years, yes years of support, patient reading and re-reading only to have my devotion tossed aside for the show pisses me the off.
