The year is 5972. The world seems to have gone backwards in advancement but supernatural creatures now rule the planet, greatly lowering humans in the overall hierarchy as these new species have taken over. How did this happen? No one knows the specifics, but it all started with something called The Great Wave.

On October 20th of 2022, all humans on Earth were turned to stone statues after a wave of green light washed over the planet. It all happened so fast that no one had time to react or do anything, and no one but those in orbit remained unfrozen by the wave. Said people came back to the planet to learn and try to figure out what was going on in the world, to see if there was a way to undo the sudden petrification afflicting everyone else, but they were unsuccessful in their initial attempts. They just left clues about the past for those that eventually did revive to uncover. And in the meantime, generations of humans spawned from the astronauts who came back, sharing their own tales of the past and trying to keep record. All seemed well for a while... Then they realized they were not alone.

A few generations after the astronauts all passed, supernatural beings began appearing. They were creatures of all kinds. Some had pointy ears, some had bunny ears, and some even had gills. The new generations of humans had never seen or heard of creatures like these before but were fascinated by them. They very easily let their guard down and wanted to know more about these strange types of people, and that would later be their gravest mistake.

Over time, the other species began to mistreat humans in various ways and it wasn't until the year 5365 that they discovered a way to revive a lot of their stony brethren. With both their knowledge and their numbers, they were strong enough to stand up against their new foes. They waged and participated in war after war after war against the new species until it felt hopeless and hardly any humans were left compared to the other species. As such, there are now "human colonies" and districts on earth for the humans who remain. Some colonies are better off than others, sure, but all humans are treated as scum, food, slaves, experiments, etc. And at this point in time, it's not just the humans anymore.

For people of other species that get banished from their home region or are abandoned, they go to secret, usually underground facilities that are called "Sola Cities"—blended communities for any and all species to start life anew. They are all given the opportunity to flourish and thrive in these facilities... Just as long as they aren't discovered by one of the above-ground species.

Sublimity RP takes place in one of the sola cities called "Origo" which is the largest sola city harboring both creatures of all kinds and stone humans that have yet to revive. It has been successfully hidden for hundreds of years, but the threat of an invasion from those up top looms closer and closer each day. Here in the RP, you can get the chance to be one of the surface dwellers, one of the underground, or even one of the stone humans. Your background and whatnot really depends on what you want to do.

This roleplay was inspired by the anime/manga Dr. Stone, the game Final Fantasy XII (and other games in this series), DND (loosely), and other RPs I've created. It aspires to be one where possibilities and creativity flourish. The components that make up the RP will help support the development of muses you can be proud of while still keeping in mind our rules and guidelines. We hope to provide you with many creative freedoms and a comfortable space to write and explore your muses with this roleplay. With this in mind, we have an implemented feedback system to help us cultivate an establishment that fosters a positive community that also grows with its community. BEFORE RESERVING ✦ Add the base for entry. We will not accept accounts made the same day or week they request a faceclaim as they have a tendency to be deleted without prior notice, but after that, feel free to join. We would love to have you.

MATURE CONTENT ✦ Do not try to talk or send explicit photos in chats that aren't rated, save that for PMs, walls, or anywhere else where prying eyes aren't. The safe word is "code red." Also know that I will allow in character drama and mature content that isn't ual (like violence, for example) and such in public threads. Just be sure you a) make sure to include trigger/content warnings for things when appropriate, b) have the consent of all involved parties, and c) keep it out of public spheres (ie: chats) if you wouldn't feel comfortable writing it in a class or text to your parents.

IC & OOC ✦ Keep OOC and IC separate. If the conversation is OOC and will exceed more than 5 posts, use the OOC room. If it is IC, keep it IC. You will be expected to use brackets any time you post OOC in IC spaces. Please also be civil with other participants in the RP and do not speak ill of any roleplays or roleplayers. If you have an issue that directly affects your experience in the roleplay, please approach the admin team directly to voice your concerns. OOC drama is not tolerated under any circumstance. The p.ss.wrd you seek is a one sentence connection you might need for your muse and the safeword. Please handle your issues among yourselves and involve the admins if needed. We ask that you also provide screenshots of the situation so we can better handle the issue as we will not take your word for it.

LEAVING ✦ If leaving, PM an admin character (the Soul Keeper or Dream Weaver characters) and then detail the reason why you're leaving. Failure to do so will result in you being banned from the roleplay and having your character(s) deleted. If you PM any non-admin characters, I will ban you and delete your character(s). I will also delete your character and ban you if I have to remove you for anything other than inactivity. Make sure you save everything you find important.

POST FREQUENCY ✦ Inactivity is set to 30 days. You will not receive notice before you are kicked as you are responsible for your own activity. Please request a hiatus or leave instead of going inactive; hiatuses last 2 weeks for now. Any longer and we suggest you leave and return later. You probably won't get kicked for having the inactive sign up as long as you communicate with the rest of us why it's there. If you ghost and go MIA without some kind of message or warning, though, we'll kick you out. You can always come back later if you want, but we do this out of fairness.

NOTICE ✦ I won't be hounding you about activity tbh. Just make sure you communicate if you're busy and if your muse is low and stuff so I know you still care about being here. I will say, though, if you're inactive at any point, you must still have at least one ongoing thread up so that I know you're not hogging face claims.

FACE CLAIMS ✦ Face claims must be 18 and older. When reserving them, please comment with the comment format. There is a list of already taken face claims located next to the rules. All reservations last for 24 hours. The following are things to note when requesting a face claim:

— Your FC must be 18+ or have content that reflects that.
— Your FC must not be a Vtuber/virtual avatar model.
— Your FC must not be from a media geared toward children. (ex: Peppa Pig)
— Your FC must not be from adult media like South Park or Family Guy.
— Your FC must not be from A.I. generated media, a self-made OC, or someone else's OC.
— Your FC must not be anthropomorphic or primarily animalistic. (Everyone in the RP has a humanoid form they primarily present in.)
— If you know your FC is going to be hard to look up, please provide a link to where I can find who you're talking about.

CHARACTERS ✦ This RP is an OC (Original Character) RP. Muses in this roleplay are to be given OC names that are not alternate versions of their name or alternate names (i.e. "Sétanta" instead of "Cu Chulainn" from FATE). OC names must be unrelated to the original face claim.
