@Alex "Oi you don't have to be sorry. Crying is a natural emotion, everyone does it after all." He exclaimed, giving Alex a reassuring smile letting him know there was no shame or such for crying in front of him. For some reason Alex reminded Jackson of himself actually when he was in his teens. He always tried to hold everything in but it only resulted in him being stressed over it all. "Um...S-So do you need anything at all? A drink or something? Are you feeling well enough to eat at all?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck slowly.
(Kind of hit a road block .///. Sorry if it's a little short)
@Jackson Alex's sobs became quieter and quieter slowly as he ran out of tears to cry. In his mind he kept asking the questions 'how will it be alright?' and 'can it really get better soon?'. He just wanted those thoughts to go away, because more than likely they would put him back into a depression.
Finally when his crying stopped, he wiped his one eye an opened it back up. The room was much bright than it had been before, and he had to wait till his eyes adjusted to focus on Jackson. "Sorry..." was the first word that came out of his mouth. "I didn't mean to c-cry."
@Alex There was nothing Jackson could do except comfort Alex as best he possibly could. Wiping the tear away, he shushed the boy gently, stroking his hair lightly while telling him things will get better eventually for him. "It'll be alright." He muttered. "Just rest yourself up okay? Things will get better soon..."
It made his heart ache for this poor boy. Going through so much already and so young...then again when you live in a world like this tragedy can have anyone in it's tight grasp.
@Jackson Alex looked up at Jackson through a wide, bleary eye and barely nodded. It was then that the rest of his tear started falling down the right side of his face. His hand curled up by the side of his head as he tried to hide his eye, the other coming up naturally to the left side of his face.
When it got there though, his eye widened again as it spread across his left cheek. He felt nothing but skin, and no tears. An ugly sob bubbled from his throat and he closed his eye tightly at this, once again being reminded of what was gone.
@Alex Jackson listened in silence to Alex while he spoke, understanding where the young man was coming from. Taking a white hanker-chief out of his pocket, the older of the two leant over to wipe away his tears smiling warmly down at him. "Hey. You don't have to hold everything in alright? Just let everything out...you'll feel at least a little better that way. It's not healthy to hold everything in." He exclaimed with a nod of his head. "You know, even the strongest of people have emotions." He said the last part softly.
@Jackson Hearing the news he nodded, but Alex didn't really feel any sense of happiness from it. Sure he didn't like the guy who did this, or his friends for that matter, since they were always going after him. He nodded anyways before opening his mouth again.
"It's weird...because I feel fine, I think. Like it hasn't...like it hasn't set in yet..." he said, looking at Jackson before turning his eyes to look behind the man next to his bed, at the wall with different posters and cards. Many of them said things like 'Get Well Soon' or 'Recover Fast' with little pictures of flowers or doctors.
He tore his one eye away from them and looked back at Jackson. Although he didn't want to, he could feel his eye getting glossy and he brought his hand up to try and wipe it away in vain. He hadn't cried in years and he wasn't going to start now, so why wouldn't it stop?
@Alex Shaking his head, Jackson sighed heavily as he crossed his arms over his chest. He always could tell when somebody was lying to him, he knew alright that Alex was not fine in the slightest. "You don't have to pretend around me Alex," he began in a calm voice. "I know what happened...you don't have to worry about an incident like that ever again. We made sure the one who did it got a proper punishment."
Word travles fairly fast surprisingly here.
He pursed his lips as he remembered hearing the one who stabbed Alex laugh rather obnoxiously about it with his little 'friends' making his blood boil at the memory.
@Jackson Hearing the door open, Alex's mind didn't really register the noise, so he was still laying there. Maybe someone would think he was sleeping with his eye open, because he felt like he hadn't blinked in a while. When he heard a voice though, his head immediately turned and he stared at the person who just entered the room. Alex could see that it was Jackson, a man who was a higher position than him. Well of course anyone would be, since he was still just a trainee.
He didn't realize he was staring until about half a minute later, when he suddenly seemed to function again and blinked. Oh, that was weird. Shaking it off though he nodded slightly. "I..." he started, and it took a second for him to think about what to say. Alex wanted to say he was fine, but obviously he wasn't. He just lost an eye. And eye. He'd never be able to see out of that eye again. He'd never be able to join the Survey Corps like he promised his father (the second one). "I'm fine." he said anyways, his voice slightly raspy from not being used since the incident when he was screaming. No point in worrying people, right? NO one should worry for him.
@Alex Once he had received word that one of his fellow squad members, a young man by the name of 'Alex' was injured due to a horrid incident Jackson wasted no time rushing to the infirmary. They hadn't known each other for very long, perhaps some months or a year albeit but that didn't matter to Jackson. If you were sick or injured he'd be there as much as he could to make sure you were alright no matter what. "Alex?" His voice soft spoken as he quietly opened the door after a nurse allowed him in, poking his head inside.
A thoughtful expression could be seen on the older male's face once he stepped inside seeing the state Alex was in. Anger pulsed through his veins at the mere thought of anyone intentionally wanting to harm the other boy, though he tried to keep his emotions under control as he sat at the chair by Alex's bed. "How are you feeling?" He asked softly, smiling in a gentle manner down at him. "I thought I'd stop by and see you for a bit..."
@Jackson Alex laid in the bed they had put him in after surgery, leaving him alone after forcing painkillers down his throat and making him eat even though he wasn't hungry. Staring at the ceiling, he didn't even move his arms that they had laid over his chest, even though keeping them there was uncomfortable. Actually, it seemed he couldn't really move them anyways so he just laid there. He didn't know what to expect now. Feeling the dull throbbing in his eyes he remembered the moment just hours before when a fellow trainee stabbed him in the eye. He also remembered when they claimed it was 'self defense' though he hadn't done anything. Alex hated liars, but he couldn't really say anything with blood flowing out of his eyeball now could he? So he laid in bed, staring at the ceiling, waiting for something to happen. After all, he couldn't do much of anything now it seemed, no matter how hard he tried.
@Levi (Oh thank you :D ^^ That'd mean a lot if you don't mind that is)
"I see." Jackson muttered thoughtfully. Well at least it didn't sound too bad anyway, he was pretty curious as well as to how he shifted the last time it happened: Pretty much nothing but a blur after the incident. He blinked when Levi handed him the clothes, quickly changing into them before rushing out of the room. "Alright I uh, I guess I'm all set."
Leaning on the wall, his eyes kept shifting to the side to glance at the male, then back to watch Petra prepare to get him out. "Normal tests and things! Like..what makes you shift and how it happens..mainly how it's possible..I will say that at times the tests will hurt but it's for a good cause" she continued to babble on, and gestured as she walked out the room. Levi sighed and walked over to hand him a small pile of clothes, "Change and come out to the hall..we'll you from there." With that, he walked out.
Jackson was relieved to have those damned handcuffs finally removed from his now sore and reddened wrists, flinching at the slight pain he felt as he rubbed them tenderly. "About time." He muttered, glancing up at Petra with a look of curiosity. "So," The younger male began. "Just what exactly are you going to do with me?" There were many questions swirling around in the shifters mind, curious as to what kind of experiment they would have to do here with him. At least they weren't going to cut him open though, no way they'd get away with that with Levi around.
@Jackson Kang [] Oh, I wanted to ask you something, my brother suggested it to me- Do you do affiliates?
Upon giving the woman the good news, he was forced to listen to her squeals and rants of excitement as he walked with her back down the hall. He, of course, got a few nasty glances that he simply ignored. Receiving the keys to the cuffs that kept the latter chained to the bed, they were quickly taken by Petra, who was more than ready to begin whatever she planned to do. Watching her undo them, he shook his head. "I'll get the others to help with the , you can go" she smiled at him, removing the cuffs. "I'd rather watch" he stated, much to her surprise.
The seargant scowled at Levi's threat, but nodded his head numbly while Jackson chuckled in satisfaction. He could always count on Levi to scare the out of people. This Petra woman seemed to have experience in this particular field so that was comforting to him, at least it wasn't someone who had no idea what they were doing. "Well this is going to be 'interesting'." He muttered quietly before sighing, looking up at the ceiling with a slightly dulled expression on his face. At least he could stop worrying about being taken by the police: Now that would've been a living hell for him. More than what he's been through.
@Jackson Kang Levi's eyes narrowed at his actions, but he kept his mouth shut, and listened. The raven simply smirked at the decision, and nodded, "I'll give Petra the good news." He stated, and shifted to let them leave the room, reaching his hand out to grab the others arm, leaning in close so only the three in the room could even remotely hear, "..If you ever so much as even think about touching him again, a Titan won't be what you'll have to worry about, because I'm going to be the one to kill you," with that, he dropped his hold and left the room to get the before mentioned female.
It was going to be quite the long week, he could see it now.
@Levi (Ah that's fine XD I've done that I don't know how many times .___.)
Jackson silently listened to what was going on, cringing when he felt an officer nudge his cheek with the back of his gun barrel. "Oh come on you're not serious? This kid's a monster. Look at his eyes, their full of rage!" A scowl instantly crossed his face: Or maybe it was because someone was placing their gun barrel against his cheek? *Idiot* He thought.
"That's enough seargent." One of the head officers snapped. "Captain Levi's decision is final. You aren't in any position making commands here got that?"
The officer scoffed, removing his gun away but still glaring down at Jackson's with a pissed off expression. "Fine." He muttered in defeat. "Whatever you say."
@Jackson Kang [] Nah, it's fine *waves hand* whatever floats your boat.
I almost posted my Sasuke reply here orz I'm tired.
Levi leaned against the door, listening to the ongoing conversation of Jackson's well-being, and what it was that was going to happen. After a moment, he stepped in to silence them, "I think you should hand him over to Petra, and I. This way, she can do all of the tests and things she needs," he stopped, glancing over at a few of the others, "Without killing him." The raven returned his gaze to the man who was, basically, in charge of what was going on. "If anyone, she can get results, as you know. If things go wrong, we'll get rid of him immediately." He mentally cringed at his words, but kept a straight face, glancing over at the male.
@Levi (That's fine ^-^ I've been off and on as well lately. Oh and I hope you don't mind if I did a little time skip)
When Jackson finally awoke, he was greeted to bright streams of sunlight coming in through his windows causing him to groan at the intense brightness. "Damn someone turn out the sun." He spoke in a hoarse, groggy voice trying to adjust his eyes to the light. Cracking one eye open, he could see a couple higher ranking officers as well as some Military Police members conversing on what to do with the younger male. "Maybe we should just kill him, before he kills again." An officer suggested making Jackson's blood run cold but he relaxed when a commander told the guy he was out of line. That little bit of worry was still inside however.
@Jackson Kang [] Mine are too, no worries ._. I'm too busy editing OTL
Of course, it was going to be another long night without any sleep. Staring at the wall in front of him wasn't exactly fun, but neither was listening to Petra scream and rant on about things he really didn't give two s about. He could only think about Jackson at this point. He was going to keep his promise if it were the death of him, but he wasn't going to let them hurt the latter. Levi sighed, and shifted to rest his forehead on the table, "When did I become like this..?" he questioned to himself, and rubbed his temples.
@Levi (Okay good to hear :'3 I feel like my replies are getting shorter =.=)
Jackson had a somewhat rough night sleeping. Being chained to the bed wasn't exactly 'comfortable' so that was a main factor: Second was that he had so many thoughts swirling around in his mind, wondering just what kind of experiments they would pull on him. Would they do something to trigger him into going all Titan again? Beat him into it? He didn't know. But Levi was there so he knew things were going to be fine. He trusted Levi's words that, if things went wrong he'd step in and get him out of that situation...at least he hoped anyway.
@Jackson Kang [] I don't know, I just felt like it was, xD
Nah, it's fine ouo
"Of course you can" He nodded, offering one of his rare, small smiles. Levi crossed his arms, "Don't be scared. Trust me..even if I have no say, I won't let anything happen to you..That's a promise" The male nodded once more, his tone firm. Watching him, he turned to leave, giving a small 'Good night, sleep well' on his way out. He ran straight into Petra, who seemed to give him a weird look, which he only raised an eyebrow to. "I'm not stupid, Levi" was all she said before walking off happily, leaving him confused as hell.
"Ah I-I forgot about that: But I guess I can count on you for that then right?" He gave a nervous laugh, blinking curiously at Levi's surprisngly soft touches and words. This wasn't the first Levi had shown any sort of gentleness to Jackson, but it was nice to be treated in such a manner. "I suppose you're right...then to be honest, I-I'm scared as hell." He muttered, biting his lower lip gently but snapped out of his thoughts after Levi pulled away giving a brief nod of his head, feeling his eyes drift to a close due to his tiredness. "Thank you." He murmured quietly, allowing sleep to take over.
(Ah I apologize if this isn't any good .///. Trying to think of decent replies.)
@Jackson Kang "Last time I checked, experimenting meant cutting open and examining..You do realize, I would kill someone before I let that happen right?" He said blankly, which didn't matter because his dark orbs were filled with everything he couldn't seem to express any other way. Pulling away slightly, Levi looked at him for a moment, a small sigh leaving his lips, "You know..I would normally teach that you should act strong even when your not, but I don't think this is a good time.." The raven brushed his fingertips over his cheek like he had the first day they met, and pulled away completely, "Get some rest.."
[] That..wasn't suppose to be as creepy as it seems orz.
@Levi He was startled by the hug at first, but he gradually relaxed himself in the gentle embraces grinning softly at the older male. "It's fine. I-I know I'll be okay. They're just experimenting right? It shouldn't be too bad." Was he scared? Of course he was, anyone would be in his position. But, he wanted to show Levi that he would be alright and that things would be just fine in the end. At least...he hoped they'd be anyway. Even in the toughest of situations, Jackson always tried to just grin and bear it.
@Jackson Kang The short male tilted his head back to look at him, and eyebrow raised, "Yes?" Levi shifted his weight, waiting for the other to speak, only to have a small, very miniscule smile curl onto his thin lips. The raven didn't verbally reply, he simply took a few steps closer to him, shifting to somewhat hug him, squeezing his figure gently, "Don't thank me, and I'm sorry I couldn't do more.."
@Levi Jackson simply nodded his head. But, before Levi left he bit his lower lip. "Wait: B-Before you leave I...I just wanted to say that...." He was at a loss for words for a second. His heart was pounding against his chest, surprised that it hadn't jumped right out of it. "I..." He began, but a very small, yet clear smile could be seen on his face. "Just wanted to say 'Thank you' f-for everything." Of course that wasn't what he really wanted to say, but perhaps now wasn't the right time to have said it. He'll wait just a little longer.
@Jackson Kang He closed his eyes, "I don't think your in the right state to know the answer to that right now." the raven answered in a quiet voice, giving a shake of his head before lifting his eyes to look at him once more. "I'm sorry" were his only words. He knew he was useless right now, there was absolutely nothing he could do, for once Levi felt pushed aside- for the time being that is. "I..will leave you to rest until Petra comes later.." he rose up, "If I can do anything..just call for someone and they'll get me.."
Those certainly weren't the words Jackson wanted to hear, but, he somewhat was capable of understanding where Levi couldn't really do anything about this. "I see," He murmured softly. "I understand...how much damage have I done exactly?" His voice was lower and he could feel the pain in his chest at the thought of killing his own friends or comrades. People who trusted him and he trusted as well then this happens? Seeing the large droplets of blood on his shirt, he could only imagine what it must've been like out there. Hell he didn't even want to imagine it to be honest, it was too gruesome to think about.
