@Shade Mechanism glanced at the time and nodded, mentally reviewing their rendezvous point and how to get there as he hoisted himself up out of his chair and led the way out.
@Mechanism Shade glanced up at the other, jolted out of his little black hole pity party. The thing was, he didn't want to be surrounded by yet another golden boy. Mech's chocolate gold was bad enough. He didn't need anything else to show how much of a contrast he had with the rest of the heroes. He was darkness, and that scared him.
He shrugged nonchalantly, yawning to add to the affect. "Yeah, whatever." He mumbled and stood up, stretching his arms. "Let's go, yeah?"
@Shade Small red flags twitched in Mechanism's brain at his colleague's tone and he glanced over at Shade. Nearly imperceptible to anyone who didn't understand what it was, the darkness was beginning to consume him.
"Shade," he said gently, nudging the other out of his thoughts a little. "Give it a chance."
He tried to smile reassuringly, but he only managed to look more exhausted.
@Mechanism "Yeah maybe." He was sulking inside. He didn't want anyone new ruining the routine. The tall lanky hero sighed to himself as he lounged on the leather couch he loved so much in the back of the room.
"I bet he's got some sort of macho power. Probably shoots lasers out of his eyes or something. I mean, we've got the brains and the dark horse. All is missing is the brawn." That would be the worst case scenario. Dark shadows swirled around him as he sulked and brooded.
@Shade "Pretty standard, I imagine," Mech said, leaning back from the keyboard and trying to ease stress by mindlessly linking and unlinking some inconsequential pieces of machinery. He'd put them back. "He's already passed the interview process, I'm sure there's no reason not to trust him." He rested the back of his head on the chair and sighed. "It'll be nice having another teammate to pick up some of the workload."
@Mechanism So he figured Mech might or might not still be mad at him from brining in the squatter. Most likely the former as he was quiet and concentrated. But I mean, really what else was the to do? Sigh, if he would've left the poor thing wouldn't it have even just as bad. Shade wrung his wrists as he stalked into 'mission control.'
"Soooo..." He wasn't not good at breaking the ice. "Looks like we might get a new face around here. Wonder how that's gonna go." He stared at the large screen up top that held the instructions for the meet. They were to meet the recruit, test out the waters, and if he past all security measures they were to bring him back and welcome him. A mole, aside from the fact Shade wasn't the star player at diplomacy.
[ahem] Mechanism stood at the main hub, typing up a report of some sort. The breach of security Shade had caused by bringing an outsider into Legend HQ needed to be addressed at the very least so they could account for what happened in case any ramifications arose later on. He sighed and tried to rub the tension out of his forehead. It was almost 2am and he missed out on casserole Tuesday.
@Shade "Would if I could," he mumbled under his breath, watching Shade as he left. Insomnia wasn't a nice thing. Every once in a while he crashed for a couple hours, but mostly it was endless hours of lying awake. It's why he took up running around at night in black Spandex.
@Night Owl "I wouldn't have done it in the first place unless I had another option. But I screwed and brought you there so I had to bring you back. Better sleep that off before you get into anymore trouble." He warned, heading off.
@Shade "You say that now," he teased, leaning heavily against the drain pipe as he slowly regained strength in his legs. "Never know. Something could happen."
@Shade Night Owl slowly grinned at Shade. "So, when's the next ride?" Sure, he felt like he needed some recovery time, but damn there was something fun about this shadow traveling thing.
@Night Owl Shade's eyes narrowed. He underestimated the other. To get through the initial shock of the travelling between dimensions and to get past the wear and tear the conditions have on the human body so easily and only experience the perks of the travelling wasn't easy. Night Owl must have been strong, for him to sustain both conditions. He'd been told that the shared experience with one of his own race was something similar. //. It really caught him off guard. To know that the pain in the was really that powerful. He didn't realize he was out right staring in chock until it was too late. Shade cleared his throat.
@Shade Night Owl's legs felt like jelly. "," he muttered, gripping onto the nearest object which was a drain pipe for support. "That was the most non ual experience I've ever had."
@Night Owl Out they stepped in front of the abandoned railway. Shade was slightly disoriented as well. It wasn't easy navigating with other people let alone a spot he'd only been to once. "There you go." He muttered, resting against a concrete wall before he lost his balance.
@Shade Night Owl didn't get a chance to respond before it felt like his body was liquified and he became entirely disoriented. The whole experience felt cold it gave him that anxious slightly nauseous feeling in his stomach, but he was distinctly aware of Shade's presence that could only be described as "with" him. It was like they were occupying the same space almost.
@Night Owl "Good thing it is mine." He muttered. Shade took hold of the other' supper arm, leading him out of the infirmary, he took a few turns until they were out in a long dark corridor. The corridor darkened as he flipped off the lights. "Don't make any excessive movements. Stay focused, and if you get hypothermia, well....maybe you'll live." Was all he said before he stepped thorough what could resemble a portal of swirling darkness. Maybe the travel wouldn't kill him. Sometimes it drove people crazy. But hey, this guy was crazy enough.
@Shade "Sure," he said. "As soon as i figure out where I am." He raised his eyebrows at the other, curious about the procedure for leaving a top secret place like this. Would he be knocked out again first?
@Night Owl "So you can leave." He prompted as his eyes made their way to the large clock hanging on the wall. It was getting pretty late, petty close to quittin' time. He couldn't wait.
@Night Owl Prince Charming? He was far from it. The title was a little repulsi- Ah but could he be playing off of their former encounter? Did he retain that much? "I don't force ual conduct like some of us. Not that I'm interested." He was still brushing his teeth four times a day.
@Shade "Did my rebellious aura give it away?" Night Owl teased with a grin that took a lot of effort to muster. "So, Prince Charming, are you gonna kiss me all better, or what?"
@Night Owl Shade slowly shuffled back from the bathroom. He blinked a few times at the other sitting in the floor. "Don't follow directions too well, huh?"
@Shade Night Owl was never any good at following directions. As soon as Shade disappeared, he stood up again, slowly this time, and started making his way to the door, using walls and furniture for support. He didn't get very far before a dizzy spell overtook him, and he had to lean against the wall. He ended up sliding down between a couple beds and sitting on the floor.
@Night Owl "Secret." He replied curtly. "Don't touch anything, I'll be right back." He warned as he headed for the bathroom. He turned back to the other before exiting. "I mean it. Stay put."
Power: Weather Manipulation, Immunity to temperature extremes
Origin Story: Valentina’s parents knew for a long time that their daughters were different. They did everything they could to keep their gifts a secret, including moving from their home in Mexico to America so the local cartel wouldn’t find out and try to use their powers to their advantage. Valentina had always been anti everything. Every week there was something she was protesting, whether it was too much homework, or the local dog pound was putting down animals too early. As she got older this sense of justice grew stronger and she and her sister realized they could actually make a difference with their powers. Her sister could control the earth and the plants on it, so she skipped college and went to work in the rainforests. But Valentina stayed, turning her eyes to the corrupt government and corporations polluting her beloved earth. They were going to pay.
Tragic Flaw or Weaknesses: Valentina’s tragic flaw is that she has no idea what she wants from life, and lacks the will to commit to anything. Her powers take concentration, so if that concentration is broken she becomes open to attacks.
Physique: https://c1.staticflickr.com/7/6215/6242410917_2ab3d7ce08_z.jpg
Tempestas’ costume is simple: black spandex like material covers her from her chest down, heeled boots that come up mid thigh, and black and grey cape that covers her neck and shoulders. She wears fingerless gloves that cover her arms up to her elbows, and uses a domino mask to conceal her identity.
Superhero Personality, and how they appear in public: The name Tempestas comes from the goddess of storms, and she embodies that persona when she becomes Tempestas. Regal and fierce. She doesn’t engage in petty verbal spats, or any sort of fighting unless necessary.
Could you please add Kuranosuke Koibushi for me?
I know he's not entirely original, but I plan on maiking him a completely new person.
If that's not okay, I understand.
Freetime: When Finn isn’t trying to make others’ lives awful, he’ll most likely be found in a tattoo-studio, either getting a tattoo himself or inking others. Also, he likes to creep on people in dark alley ways, or scare girls in night clubs.
Trivia Info: Finn has a total of 315 tattoos, of which 176 show insects and 139 show bones. After his surgery, he used all his begged money for tattoos. He got his first tattoo at the age of 16, and it showed a Jolly Rogers. After that, more and more tattoos followed, and at the age of 17, he decided to completely cover himself in tattoos, and they should show a skeleton when completed.
‘Villain Info’
Name: Zombie
Power: Necrokinesis/Death-Force Manipulation, esp. Death Sense & Reanimation
Team: Unalinged – Even though he’s more of a Villain, Finn doesn’t feel like he belongs to a team, and doesn’t want to identify himself with others.
Origin Story: Finn doesn’t know whether he always had these powers, or whether they appeared after the surgery on his brain, but he does know that when waking up, they strangely were there. If he went to a place, he would suddenly have blurry visions of a person being shot there, of a girl being and killed, of horrible deaths the then 16-year-old couldn’t handle. But he had to, because those things would happen more and more often. And then he reanimated a dead dog for the very first time. His newly found powers were undeniable by then. His uncle helped him to cope with all the mess, but it was clear that he viewed the boy differently after that. The time Finn moved was also the time he decided not to use his powers for good anymore. He knew he could solve cold cases, could work for the hospital maybe, but because there were never people helping him, he decided that nobody deserved his help either. Nobody but his uncle. Whenever he would be in trouble, Finn would be right there to help him. Finn is a hard shell to crack.
