The Loud Horseman Inn

@"Chanyeol-Seoul The innkeeper's wife patted the boy's bony shoulder with a plump, heavy hand before bustling off to the kitchens to help out, fairly certain that the boy would come and find her when he was good and ready.

Meanwhile, Kiseop was peeking in through one of the windows as he passed by, having sufficiently distracted some unsavory types who seemed to be on the hunt for someone. When he didn't spot the tall, blue-eyed boy right away, he let out a soft sigh before moving on. He'd have to be back at the gladiator school before too long - even though he was fairly accomplished, he didn't want to get rusty and get himself killed.

@°Kiseop-Kwangju "Ahh I hope so, I-I'd like to thank him for his kindness." nodding Chanyeol was in general pleased he could just get his words out, but the mention of a bath had him almost as enthralled as the food in front of him. "Neh... thank you... I'll be sure to remember."

@"Chanyeol-Seoul Nodding with that playful look still on her face, she covered . "Don't worry, I will. Who knows, you two might actually bump into each other sometime. This isn't the smallest city, but even so, I've a feeling he'll come back." A soft sigh, then she focused her attention back on Chanyeol. "Once you've finished that, I can show you to your room if you like. See where it is, get freshened up a bit? Don't forget, there's supper at sundown."

@♀Heechul-Seoul "Oh okay..." Frowning a bit Chanyeol couldn't help but to say he felt a little disappointed. Here, he'd been done a massive kindness, and chances were he wasn't going to get to meet, let alone thank whoever paid it to him. "Well, umm.. if you ever see him. Tell him I said thank you..."

@"Chanyeol-Seoul The older woman simply chuckled and gave a playful wink. "If I told you, that would ruin the fun. Worry not, love, I wouldn't have taken their coin if they didn't seem to be the trustworthy, harmless type. Won't do you no harm, I should think. Probably wouldn't be brave enough to talk to you, like as not..."

@°Kiseop-Kwangju Chewing innocently on his bread, Chanyeol occasionally peeked around to make sure nothing bad was happening, but eventually he just shrugged and ate, doing his best to savor what real food tasted like while it lasted.

"Oh, thank you." Nodding and squinting a bit, Chanyeol tilted his head. "Umm, if you don't mind me asking... Who is this umm patron?"

@"Chanyeol-Seoul The innkeeper's wife smiled again and headed off to the kitchens with her tray, coming out a few minutes later with a few bath tokens in her hand. "Here you go. If you like, you could go get yourself a nice bath before bedtime. Got yourself a nice room away from the noise. And a meal in the morning, to boot." Placing them on the table, she smiled warmly. "Got yourself a kind patron, if you ask me."

@♀Heechul-Seoul Chanyeol fidgeting as he sat all tucked away, hands twisting together as he tried to work out what was going on. He would have been convinced they had the wrong person, if the description hadn't fitted. He knew he was the only street kid that was tall and had blue eyes. But then the second question came. Why were they giving this to him.

Glancing between the lady and the food he bowed. "Thank you very much... I won't" he murmured, still nervous but smart enough to turn down good food when it came at him.

@"Chanyeol-Seoul [Sorry, bby, was caught up in stuffs. ;;]

Nodding in satisfaction when the tall boy ran off to the nice hidden corner, the innkeeper's wife bustled back to the kitchens, bringing out some fresh rolls and slices of meat for the boy to snack on, and some watered wine to boot. That little gladiator fellow, he'd really paid more than was necessary for one meal and one night's stay, but bless his soul, she couldn't turn him away. Nor this giant of a child. Hadn't her own heart's sons marched off to war so long ago, none of them returning? She had a soft spot for the quiet and the less fortunate... one that her amiable husband quietly supported.

Still, she couldn't help but let out a quiet giggle at how serious the slender boy had looked, putting his pouch of coin all business-like on the counter and disappearing before either she or her husband had been able to finish the note he left behind. Ah well, good to know that there were still some kind souls out there. With a small huff, she placed the food and drink down in front of the dingy teen, resting the tray against her hip. "Now, you eat that up, but don't get yourself sick."

"But I, What--" Chanyeol was very confused, to the point where he was considering just doing what he was told just in case something bad happened to him. Nothing like this had happened before and he was beginning to feel very nervous.

Chanyeol ended up nodding and scampering off to where he'd been told, if for nothing but the fact the guards wouldn't find him... Unless of course this was a trap and-- of why was life so confusing. He frowned, sighing lightly as he hesitantly sat down.

@"Chanyeol-Seoul [I'll just switch to 3rd. :3]

The kindly older woman clicked her tongue before heading over to the giant of a boy, having to crane her head back to look up at him. "Go on, now. Find a seat somewhere you won't be seen that easy. No telling if'n them guards'll be back, right?" When the boy showed no signs of moving anytime soon enough to her liking, she sighed and planted a small, work-roughened hand in the middle of his back. "There's a little booth in the back, close to the stairs to the rooms. Fits one, out of the way. Let's go, love. After your meal, you can go get yourself a nice hot bath and a good night's sleep, alright?"

@°Kiseop-Kwangju /glances back hesitantly at the man before nodding a little, crouching further as he peeks out the window again

Huh..? I... is this a trick.. ? /he blinks, pressing himself into the wall a bit, he knew the innkeepers were nice but

@"Chanyeol-Seoul -the innkeeper looks up from behind the counter and raises an eyebrow-
In trouble again, b'y?
Do well to keep yourself out of sight.

-he wipes down the counters and his wife pops out from the kitchen-
Oh, are you the tall child with the blue eyes?
You've a hot meal waiting for you.
Take a seat, love.
Go on, I'll bring the food out.

@°Kiseop-Kwangju /grunts as he sprints down the streets, scooting around people and objects both as he tries to loose the guards on his tail
/skids around a corner and into an inn, ducking down in hope that the guards go past
/peeks out the window once he thinks he's heard them go by

@"Chanyeol-Seoul -heads inside to see the innkeeper-
-quietly hands over a small pouch of coin with a note to set aside some hot meals and perhaps a night's bed for the tall street kid with the blue eyes-

-steps outside to look around, seeing if I can spot you anywhere, then shrugs before heading off to my gladiator practicing-
