Jisoo rubbed his eyes awake, the cheap lights of McDonald's a bit too bright for his liking. Hearing Simon's statement about killing, a cheeky smile instantly bloomed on his face. "Can Luna order more hash browns?" He questioned as he stuffed the oval shaped hash brown in his mouth. Looking over, his eyes immediately widened at the sight of a charity box. "There's a charity box! I have to donate," Jisoo exclaimed, sprinting up and quickly reaching for his wallet before donating an over generous amount of money in the box. His chin felt oddly sore, as if someone had hit him.
As if the night couldn't annoy him more, his sister was pushing him even more. Midnight and his sister was ordering the whole menu. "Luna damn it! I said not the whole menu you dweeb." He calls out to her as he takes his cup, heading over to fill it up with some Coke, another loud yawn escaping his lips as he saunters back to his seat near Jiyeon and Lily. "How do you two still manage to look normal at this hour. I want to kill someone because of how tired I am." He huffs softly as he leans his head on the table, groaning as he pulls the hashbrown over, eating it sadly.
At the declined offer, Lily was quick to nod her head, putting the money away while turning her attention towards Jiyeon’s son, smiling when she saw that he had finally went to sleep. “Thank you Luna,” she took the cup with ease, and then thanked Simon as well. She was the first to stand up, lightly waddling out of the tight space, only to accidentally fall against Jisoo. Thankfully, her elbow caught her and landed against his chin due to her quick reaction. “Oh darn, sorry about that Jisoo.” She made a grim face and quickly slipped out, knowing that when they went back home, Jisoo would probably go to his “experimental room” and find out ways to get some unknown underwater creature to get revenge on the poor girl.
Instead of taking the drink cup from Sunyoung's grasp, Jiyeon just sheepishly smiled as she asked her dear friend for a favor. "Can you fill it for me? Because, uh," she said as she gestured to the sleeping child in her arms and flashing a quick grin. Glancing at their group again, she had to agree that their midnight rendezvous was indeed a fiasco, as Jisoo was probably halfway asleep, Sunyoung was wearing her pajamas, and Lily was sleepily writing her next story while Simon just stared at her, because, you know, they're whipped for each other.
Sunyoung happily smiled before walking over to grab the credit card from her brother. She stretched out her arms before glancing over at the menu. "Simon, I'm gonna order everything off the menu because you said don't go crazy. So now, I'm going to go crazy." she jokingly spoke before glancing over at everyone. "Well since Jisoo is asleep I guess we can get him something to eat later when he wakes up." Sunyoung suggested before walking over to the counter to begin their order. "Hello, can we please get two medium sodas, a hashbrown, a 20 piece chicken Mcnugget meal, one Big Mac meal, a Filet-O-Fish sandwich, a Sausage Mcgriddle, and a happy meal please?" she spoke before letting out a deep breath as she spoke in one go. She happily smiled at the cashier before swiping the credit card and walked over to hand everyone their drink cups. Sunyoung handed over the card back to Simon along with the receipt. "Thank you, big bro. I only got myself one thing" she spoke.
Seeing the girl try to hand him some money, he shakes his head and offers her a small smile. "Hey it's fine I got it covered. You know I got money coming out of my ." A small laugh slipping out of his lips, he pulls out his black, American Express card, placing it on the table as he sighs softly. "Luna come get my credit card. Get what you want and order me a Coke and hash brown, just don't go too crazy." Leaning back in the chair, he yawns softly, running a hand through his dark hair.
With her fingertips drumming along her phone case, Lily followed the rest of her friends inside of the building, closing the door behind her and soon, sliding into one of the vacant seats as she rests her elbows against the table – eyeing at the menu from afar while she laughed at what Luna suggested. She wasn’t much of a late night eater, since she was picky majority of the time, but with slight hesitation she lifted up her finger when some of the others were done saying what they wanted. “I think I’ll just get some fries and nuggets, and a coke. Plus, I don’t mind paying guys.” Offering with a sweet smile spreading along her crimson lips, she pulled out her wallet from her jacket and pulled out a twenty, handing it over to Simon to help pay for half of their fee.
Upon Sunyoung's suggestion, Jiyeon let out chuckle before nodding and plopping her onto one of the chairs, sliding backwards in her seat so she can lean her back against the window as Mason leans on her. "That's a great idea. Simon pays, call!" She chirped before securing Mason with one hand and using the other rub his back. "I don't know about you guys, but I want one Big Mac, one Filet-O-Fish, and large fries. Can I get a coke too? Thanks Simon!" Sure, that was a hefty order but Simon was rich and their whole group mooched off it so it wasn't a big deal. It's not that she couldn't afford two burgers and some sides on her own, rather that she would much rather spend her money for Mason's future than food. At the end of the day, she's content on skipping two meals for her beloved son to eat all three and be able to buy him toys, too.
As they all proceeded into the building, the perimeter was clear but that wasn't much of a surprise since it was the middle of the night. They all exchanged a few looks before glancing up at the menu. Sunyoung could feel her stomach rumbling and was content to finally have something to consume. Though it was her idea to drag everybody along, she couldn't help but let out a small laugh since they actually agreed; especially since she knew Simon had work so early in the morning. "Who's going to order first? Simon can you pay for me, I conveniently forgot to bring my wallet. Better yet, I think you should pay for everybody~" She suggested with a sheepish smile, as she turned her attention over to the group.
"Yeah, about that– sorry," Jisoo sent the oldest a sheepish smile, turning his attention to the half-heartedly smiling lady behind this counter. "What are you guys getting?" He called out over his shoulder. Looking back, he realized they kind of look like a mess. By mess he means Sunyoung's hair is half done, Simon still has bed hair, Lily has the deepest bags under her eyes, and Jiyeon has about three car toys in her hands as of this moment. Jisoo plopped down on the table, a bit drowsy and on the verge of sleeping. His fist is the only thing supporting his head from smacking forward onto the surface.
"4 adults, in McDonalds at 4 am." Simon released, yet another sigh, as the older man made his way into the restaurant. A small vibration on his phone, calling to attention that he had a contract early in the morning, and it was his partner reminding him...yet here he was, at McDonalds, with his roommates and his little sister. "I swear, I bend over backwards for you dweebs all the time, and all I get is late night texts to run for fast food." Shaking his head, he walks in and sits down at a table, resting his head on his hands as he watches everyone else, like a protective hawk.
“How crazy do we look, coming packed together like this late at night?” Lily snickered out softly, her gaze shifting down at her phone that discernibly stated the time where most people would be in bed, getting ready for work the next morning – but here they were, wide awake and eager to get something to eat. Since she was next to get out the car, she closed the door behind her, hopping down on her feet and snuggling close to her jacket – smiling at the bickering going on among her friends. “I know when we get our food, we’ll be laughing and joking around like usual.” Heading over towards the entrance, she held the door open for them, knowing that most of them had their hands tied, especially Jiyeon with Mason in her arms.
"I swear to god there is not one single trip where you guys are quiet," Jiyeon chides with a frown, hoisting Mason on the side of her hip as she, too, gets out of the car. She walks awkwardly, making white noise while occasionally stopping to sway her hip slowly in an attempt to lull her son to sleep. It was a little bit past midnight, and although she usually slept late, this had been way past Mason's bedtime but she hadn't want to be left alone in such a big house without any sense of security. "Why do we come up with such stupid ideas?" She muttered under her breath, hoisting Mason up yet again, but this time so he could freely sleep on her shoulder.
The clock strikes midnight as Sunyoung grabbed the handle of the SUV and pulled it open before happily jumping into the van. Though it was normal for the whole house to go out on trips together, a midnight McDonalds run wasn't usually one of them. As Simon drove, her weight was pushed from side to side due to each turn, bumping into both Joshua and Lily. "SIMON DRIVE FASTER I WANT FOOD" she exclaimed, her voice echoing through the car. As they pulled up into the parking lot, she joyfully unbuckled her seat belt before feeling a forceful whack against her face, as Joshua's hand accidentally hit her. Sunyoung frowned as she groaned from the growing pain before jabbing Joshua's stomach with her hand.
"Can I get out of this yet?" Jisoo quips, the plastic material digging into his hips like a vice. Plus, Simon's awful and nauseating induced driving already makes everyone uncomfortable tenfold; except for Lily, she's whipped for anything Simon does. "There's the McDonald's sign," He points out the glass window, though realistically none of his friends can see where he's directing at. Immediately his hands fly up to unbuckle himself out of that ungodly car seat, scooting over to the other side. Though he regrets that decision when Jay makes a sharp turn and somehow Jisoo ends up slamming Sunyoung in the face with his palm.
"Are you guys ready to go yet?" The grumpy, older man mumbles as he climbs into the front seat of his SUV, letting out a long, annoyed sigh. Unsure why he even agreed to drive the three of his friends to McDonalds at this hellish hour of the night, he looked down at his watch, rolling his eyes as he looks out the window, wondering why the hell they hadn't yet come out to the car yet.
