@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian walked next to the other with a small smile. Youngjae seemed like a good guy, he just needed to have some fun. He glanced around, liking how peaceful it was before turning to the other when he started to speak. The café sounded pretty cool to Brian, especially since music was a hobby of his. "Oh they do? I'll definitely be going there now, maybe one day I'll play." He shrugged and thought for a moment. He wondered if Youngjae had played there before. He turned to the other and gave a curious look. "Have you ever performed there?"
@✙ BRIAN KANG Youngjae smiled in pure relief when the other said that. After all, he was glad Brian didn't get mad or something. He had got the impression that he was a nice person, and maybe, if Youngjae tried hard, they could even be friends and not just mates for the project. Standing up along with him, they made their way out of there with Youngjae clutching at the straps of his backpack. However, and as seconds passed by and he filled his lungs with fresh air, he slowly started to let go of the grip that just showed nerves, and smiled at the other's comment. "It's pretty close from here, so I frequent it to study there sometimes too. They even have some people playing music on Fridays" His voice got a bit higher, even if just barely, but showing that indeed the place excited him. He had always wanted to show it to someone but again, he had never had the chance.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE (it's fine!^^ you can take your time)
Brian nodded his head, agreeing to what the other had suggested. "Okay, I'll probably ask him later." Brian smiled back to let Youngjae know it was fine. He wouldn't really want people spilling his problems to strangers so he understood. He stood up with a grin on his face. "The café sounds nice. I'll have have to try the coffee to see if it's that good," Brian chuckled as he waited for the other to finish collecting his materials. He was curious to see how the other was outside of the school environment, some place they could actually have a nice conversation without whispering.
When the other showed so surprised and shocked about the fact that Yongguk and him had just talked, Youngjae got to understand a bit more about what the older had told him about him, his personality and so on. He didn't think he was a bad person though, and Youngjae was somehow happy they had managed to befriend each other. "It's kind of complicated. Maybe you could ask him" Youngjae said, smiling apologetically upon not being able to say more about it, since he wasn't sure if the vampire wanted that reason to be public or not. "Well, actually..." Youngjae wet his dry lips by instinct as he looked around, pondering if it was a good idea or not, before he finally gave it a try. "There's a cafe nearby I like to go because it has a peaceful ambient, and the coffee there is just really good. I've been craving for one for some time already" He admitted, slowly regarding his things inside his backpack, questioningly looking at the other.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Brian gave a surprised look to the other. Yongguk wasn't the type to just talk. Sooner or later he got what he wanted from a person. "You only talked? How did you manage to do that?" Maybe there was another side to Yongguk because that wasn't something he expected. Brian chuckled hearing Youngjaes words. He was happy they were getting along so far. Maybe the project wouldn't be so bad. He looked at Youngjae and spoke in a softer tone. "Yea we should probably go. Did you have a certain place in mind?" Brian glanced around looking at the people reading and doing work. They were probably distracting a few with their chatting so it would be best to leave.
@KIM TAEHYUNG Kangjoon wrote down Taehyung's answer and then his own. 'Human food only. Idk what I'd eat for vamp food.' If there weren't numbers on the page, then he'd lose count with the questions. They only needed ten and they had five more to do, but he was tired of asking and answering questions already. He didn't expect to sit in the library to do a questionnaire. If he had to be stuck with the kid for the rest of the school year, then doing some fun would was the first thing to come to mind. Sighing, he pushed the paper away and tapped his pen anxiously on the table. "Sooo...we have a week to finish this sheet and turn it in and I don't know about you, but I'm tired of sitting on my doing nothing. How about we leave and go do something. I'm game for anything as long as it's not stupid." If they could get along like he thinks they can, then he knows Taehyung will agree with him.
@BRIAN KANG Youngjae blinked few times, not lasting too long to understand what the other was hinting since after all Yongguk had briefly told him about the "things" he did with other students. Rushing to shake his head several times, he cleared his throat slightly and laughed awkwardly. "We talked. Just talked" He expressed, making the other understood nothing really happened between them more than a weird friendship starting somehow. "You seem cool to me too" Youngjae admitted with a rather genuine smile, getting a bit more comfortable. "Do you think maybe we should go elsewhere to talk more comfortably?" He asked, looking around to see people reading in silence.
@YOO YOUNGJAE A surprised look covers Brians features as he hears Youngjae talk about Yongguk. Mentioning that they talked made Brian lift an eyebrow curiously. "Oh I didn't think you'd know him. You guys talked or.." he trailed off knowing he rolls pick up on what he meant. Yongguk wasn't exactly the talking type, but that wasn't really important at the moment. He wanted Youngjae to become friend so the other could experience fun with another person, well vampire. "I think we will, you seem pretty cool to me. I think this'll be a nice project." He gave a small smile to show he meant his words.
@BRIAN KANG Youngjae smiled softly and nodded. He loved music, and that involved any instrument. Even if what he liked was to sing, he had always wanted to learn how to play any. "Oh, Yongguk?" When the name was pronounced, Youngjae instantly nodded. He knew who that person was. It had been quite a weird way of meeting him, but he did. They had barely talked though, but anyways, Yongguk was one of the only names he knew from people around. "I talked to him a bit the other day, but not for too long" Keeping the details of their meeting since he supposed the other wouldn't be interested in listening how he had got all sassy with the other vampire just for being rude at him, and things ending up way differently, with Yongguk apologizing, Youngjae quickly cleared his mind from that the moment Brian announced that it would be easy for them to become friends. "I do hope so" He admitted with a nod.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Hearing the others laugh made a smile come to Brians face. He was starting to relax more abd that made him happy. He nods his head in agreement at Youngjaes request. " I'll definitely sing for you, maybe even play my guitar too," he chuckled and then start thinking of his friend, if you would call it that. "Yea he goes here. His name is Yongguk, maybe you know him?" Brian had doubts of the other knowing Yongguk unless he was one of his ' buddies' as the other would call it. He gives Youngjae a small smile, seeing how they really weren't that different. He thought they could end up being good friends by the time the project is over. "Well that's good to hear, I guess it won't be that hard becoming friends then."
@BRIAN KANG Fiddling with the small pencil in his hands, glancing at the other silently, since he wanted to make sure he'd remember about those details the other was giving him, the boy smiled genuinely when the other said he liked music too. "Really? As long as you sing back for me" He said, a small guffaw leaving his throat even though he quickly covered his mouth. Sometimes he forgot about the fun of making friends. "Oh, club" He commented, nodding slowly. "Is he from the academy? If I may ask" Youngjae wasn't the type to go clubbing. He had tried once or twice in his whole life, being pushed by his old group of "friends" when he was younger. Maybe since he went not because he wanted to, he just has bad memories about it. "It's not boring what you said. In fact, it's just as same as a human would do" Youngjae stated, quickly apologizing by rubbing jis nape and smiling a bit. Maybe they weren't that different after all, that's what he thought.
@YOO YOUNGJAE The way Youngjae reached to his words made Brian frown. So he didn't have many friends. Brian wasn't sure he knew anyone named Daehyun but he was glad Youngjae had at least one person to interact with. Brian nodded his head as the other spoke. It sounded a little sad but most people weren't good at making friends easily. Seeing that they had a few things in common made Brian smile. "You like to sing? I do too! You'll have to sing for me some time," he meant it as a joke to get the other to relax a bit but he wouldn't mind singing together. "As for hobbies I usually play my guitar somewhere quiet and work on my singing.. or if I'm feeling adventurous I'll go out and meet some people. I met a guy at the nightclub the other night, he seemed pretty interesting so I've hung out with him."Brian paused to think of more things he liked to do, but decided not to say so Youngjae wouldn't get weird around him. The things he said were what a human could easily do too, he didn't want to include his vampire hobbies just yet. "I think that's about it, I'm pretty boring at times."
@BRIAN KANG When the word 'friends' was pronounced, Youngjae's nose scrunched up slightlt and unvonsciously, and he diverted his gazr towards his book. He had arrived to the academy just a week ago. It was normal for him not to have friends, right...? "Well, sometimes I go and listen to music with this boy, Daehyun" He said, pronouncing his name in a whisper and then looking back at the other. "But the rest of my hobbies I do them alone. I haven't found anyone to share them with" Being completely honest with his words, Youngjae's hand reached to toy slightly with his pencil. "I like reading, singing and walking around too. I also like videogames" He explained, pursing his lips together. "How about you?" Youngjae knew the project was about them knowing each other better. Yet, he couldn't help but feel slightly pressured when the focus was fully on him.
@SEO KANGJOON Taehyung raised an eyebrow at the reply but remained silent, he supposed he could understand where he was coming from. Then considering the fact if one was hungry all the time for something they didn't even know of, wouldn't that be dangerous as well? He let the vampire decide for himself, he wasn't the type to judge and it wasn't s problem either so he let the subject drop. Taehyung nodded his head and shrugged, "Fair enough." He wondered if it was different for him because he was from another clan. He could eat human food himself but soul energy was more nourishing and needed regularly if he didn't want to risk killing someone while feeding or by accident. "That's good then," Taehyung replied, as his gaze flicked around the room. If Kangjoon was able to survive that way then he was lucky. He ignored that side comment to the following question and answered honestly, "Twice a month for soul energy, and daily for human food." Taehyung looked at the table this time around, wondering if he was actually honest there. He did feed twice a month but sometimes he would feed more often because he was hungry or weak for some reason .
@YOO YOUNGJAE Brians eyes widened in surprise at the sudden outburst. He smiled apologetically to a few people that gave irritated looks from having their work interrupted. He turned back to Youngjae with a smirk. The other was quick to defend. There's nothing wrong with that but it seemed like he was trying to convince himself of his words. "Tell me, what are your hobbies? What do you like to do with your friends?" Surely the guy had some friends, even if they were the type to stay in and study rather than have a little fun together.
@BRIAN KANG Youngjae nodded slowly, understanding everything that the other said. After all, he disliked routines. Even looking like a plain person, Youngjae liked to try different things and discover, experience. However, his personality lead him to be more confident about doing all those by himself, instead of surrounded by a bunch of friends like others. That's why many times he was mislead as a boring nerd. He was a nerd, and quite proud of it, but not boring at all. That's why, when the other asked if he had fun, Youngjae's eyes widened a bit, fingers sprawling above the book . "I do! I have lots of fun!" Realizing he had snapped quite loudly, remembering they were at the library, Youngjae coughed and laughed embarrassed. "I mean, being at school, I do have a routine I follow. But I have fun on my free time. Hobbies, and all... I don't know, maybe they sound boring to other's though"
@YOO YOUNGJAE His routine? Brian thought for a moment about Youngjaes question. He wasn't the type to keep a routine anymore, always doing what felt right in the moment. Plus there were things he was positive Youngjae didn't want to hear about. His feeding schedule for one. "Well, I don't really have a routine. Since I came here I've kind of just... done whatever, whenever. Except for schoolwork, that's probably the only thing I do regularly." He let out an awkward laugh. He must've sounded like some slacker to the other but it couldn't be helped. Everyday he made sure to do things differently so he wouldn't get bored. He'd have to show Youngjae what his daily life consisted of. "What about you....you look like you keep a strict routine. Do you have a lot of fun?" He gave a small smile to let the other know he meant nothing negative. He just seemed like the type that would rather be alone than with others.
@BRIAN KANG Youngjae thought for a while about Brian's words. Was that true? Would they be able to fix that? Somehow, Youngjae did want to get more comfortable around the other, but he couldn't help but feel worried about it. He would try his best though, even if that meant going out of his "comfort zone".
"Hmm, actually..." Youngjae started, sitting a bit more comfortably, resting his back against the chair. "Your routine? I wonder in which aspects differ from mine" Smiling a bit again, wanting to show the other that he wasn't that taken aback by the whole situation, his fingers returned to drum lightlt against the book.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Brian mentally cheered seeing Youngjaes smile. Even if it was small, it was a start. Maybe everything could work out, he just needed the other to open up a little. Brian gives a short nod of his head while pausing for a minute to think. He could tell the other wasn't the most talkative but in order to get a good grade that had to change. "That's fine, I'm sure in time we can fix that!" He leans into the table, resting his head on left hand while sighing. "I'm not exactly sure how we should start off..is there anything you're curious about?" He asks while twirling a random pencil he found on the table. That was probably a good way to get more comfortable, giving him a chance to ask what he wanted to know first before bombarding him with questions of his own.
@BRIAN KANG Youngjae eyed the other's smile carefully, considering his words in silence before he slowly nodded, and even smiled a bit back. It wasn't such a crazy idea, even considering the type of project they had to do, the best would be of them to get to know each other better. However, that meant somehow they had to become friends, and that sounded actually harder for Youngjae to accomplish. "That's a good idea" He said softly, his low and raspy voice contrasting with the hesitation of it. "How should we do it though? I'm not the best one at chatting" He explained, scratching the back of his head while he laughed apologetically.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Sensing Youngjaes nervousness made Brian chuckle slightly. He gives the others hand a quick shake before letting go. "I'm Brian, nice to meet you." He replied before dropping his hands to the table. The other seemed a little timid but Brian felt he could get him out of his shell. Not really thinking about the project, he gives a small shrug. "Well.... I was thinking we could get to know each other first!" He said witha flash of excitement in his eyes. The project was the last thing on his mind. It wasn't because he was lazy, he was actually far from that. Brian just thought if they knew each other a little better the process would work smoothly. He loved to work but he needed to know if his new partner would slack off, which it didn't look like it but you never know. Looks can be deceiving, thats something he learned a long time ago. He also needed to know how open Youngjae was to trying new things. He had a lot in his mind for this project but he had no clue if Youngjae would go through with any of his ideas.
@BRIAN KANG Youngjae stared absentmindedly at the table in front of him, sitting at the very end of the library by himself. His fingers grazed against the pages of the book he had in front of him, but his mind was far away from the words written on it. The reason was simple. He was waiting for his partner for a new project to show up. Youngjae didn't like to work in pairs, nor in groups. He was more comfortable working on his own, since he knew what he liked, what he didn't, and he wasn't that used to communicate well with others. That's why now he was worried. What if his partner was a lazy who didn't work at all? Or what if he didn't like any of Youngjae's ideas.
Upon hearing an unfamiliar voice, Youngjae raised his gaze to meet the one's who sat in front of him, slowly closing the book he was attempting to read. "Yes, I'm Youngjae" He said, hesitating slightly before he reached to shake the other's hand gently. "Do you, uhm... Have any ideas for the project?" Well, at least, he looked nice, Youngjae thought.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Brian walks through the library quickly looking around for a certain face. Being assigned a project wasn't something he loved, especially if he had to do it with a stranger. He hoped that they would get along well, and that the other wouldn't freak out over him being a vampire. Pushing the thoughts away he walks through a few tables to a kid sitting alone towards the window. "Hey! You're Youngjae right?" the orange hair was the giveaway but he still felt he needed make sure. He sits across from the boy, holding out his hand."I'm Brian, your project partner. I hope we can get along." He gives a small smile, trying to be as friendly as he could.
@KIM TAEHYUNG Kangjoon snorted. "They forgot to add 'at the expense of others' to the end of the saying." If he lost control he could kill people and he's a lot of things, but a murderer isn't one of them and he doesn't plan to add that to the list of ups. "Still not going to try. It's been twenty-two years and I'm still doing okay without feeding." Human food more than makes up for his lack of vampire nourishment, and he's sure it taste better than whatever else he could have. "Not really. Human food is enough for me. I'm sure vamp food would boost my abilities, not like I need that to happen though. I'm strong enough without and I can control the hunger nagging at the back of my mind better than I can anything else I can do." He wrote down Taehyung's answer, then added 'Can control everything else, but my strength when I'm angry' for himself. "Next question, how often do you feed? How the is that relevant?" Was his own question, because he didn't understand what that had to do with anything.
@JUNG DAEHYUN Yongguk shakes his head, "I learned from it. People want one thing." He mumbles the last sentence hiding his face from Daehyun. Talking about the past always made him want to run away. Here with Daehyun he knew it might just get him in trouble if he did that. So he sat there beside Daehyun trying hard not to focus on the past. Yongguk could to look at Daehyun's face to distract himself. His eyes taking in every little detail which given he's a vampire it allowed him to see more in depth detail then others. He'd probably keep staring at Daehyun until he told him to stop.
@JUNG DAEHYUN Yongguk answered his first question immediately with no hesitation. "Not at first." He noted the change in topic but realized it would hurt him if he explained. "T-things. I went crazy for awhile." He did indeed have a period in his life where he was technically crazy. It passed easily enough. Yongguk figured out why not too long after it happened. He'd gone too long without feeding and attacked some people. Yongguk had been punished for it and hasn't had a similar problem since.
Yongguk gave the only explanation he could for his stutter. "You're doing it." It sounded pathetic to even him. He pouts looking at Daehyun. He wondered if he should answer the question giving that Daehyun didn't seem to intent on an answer. Hanging his head Yongguk mumbles an answer. "A couple times. You were busy." It was the truth. Although none of those times were like the reason now. All innocent things. He kept his head down waiting to hear what he had to say.
@JUNG DAEHYUN Yongguk tried not to jump when Daehyun cleared his throat. "What I want..?" He shakes his head not quite managing to look him in the eye. "What I want doesn't matter." The last half sounded too cheesy so he left it off. He hangs his head feeling horrible if only due to how little attention he actually was getting. "S-should I just leave?" Yongguk clamps a hand over his mouth. Stammering right now was probably a very bad idea. He did not think Daehyun would let it go.
@SEO KANGJOON Taehyung raised his eyebrows as he tilted his head, "I think I heard before where the say goes, curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back," he commented. He was surprised to hear about anger issues but wondered how that worked briefly. He didn't ask since he didn't want to pry and Kangjoon seemed to be the type who would have told him if he wanted him to know. "Fair enough. You could always try to feed and see what happens," Taehyung suggested, he was slightly confused though. "So you don't have to feed at all?" He asked slightly curious, since he had to feed regularly or in life threatening situations. He smiled slightly in amusement at his reply, it does seem like they will get along. "Okay then," Taehyung agreed as he shrugged his shoulders, and genuinely thought about the following question. "I'm alright, I guess," he answered. "I don't give myself an opportunity to go out of control, but usually I'm fine," He explained, sometimes it was a bit hard to feed and he had slipped up before but it's not something he thinks he should mention.
