@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE "Okay hyung." Junhong replied back with a bright smile with a light laugh. Junhong nodded, thinking whether or not he should just buy the same book and give it to his friend or look for another one. Since Junhong was lazy he grabbed the same book off the shelf and smiled sheepishly. "I came here to buy a gift for a friend." He explained simply, he saluted and went to the other cashier while Youngjae was paying for his. Once they both payed for their books they met back up and Junhong grinned at the other boy. "So where do you wanna go?" He rambled off different places that were around the area, a collection of cafes, diners, small restaurants, and even a place with an arcade. "I'm fine with anything so it's up to you."
@❂ CHOI JUNHONG "Really?" Youngjae let out a genuine laugh upon hearing the other's statement, and shaking his head softly, he hugged the brand new book across his chest. "No need to in my case. I guess I'll just get used to look upwards?" He said with a small smile. "If you want to, I'm fine with it. I'll try to, uhm, be a nice hyung" He stated, rather seriously, before he chuckled again. He felt a bit awkward but at the same time, kind of good to be able to talk with Junhong. "Oh, this one?" Youngjae blinked rapidly before he extended it to the other, smiling sheepishly. "It's a novel. Romantic one" He said, trying to shrug off the fact that he was a er for cheesy stuff, maybe due to his lack of contact with people in any romantic way. "So, I'll go pay for this quickly" With that, the boy turned around and headed to the cashier, not wanting to make the one that he wanted to befriend, wait.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Junhong chuckled and nodded. "It stuck for awhile, some of my friends still have that for my contact name on their phone." He didn't mind the brief nickname, he actually kind of liked his curly hair it brought back fond memories. "Should I call you hyung then?" He asked with a slight grin, leaning a little closer to the other boy. He laughed at Youngjae's joke and shrugged. "It's up to you. I have one friend who always has me sit down whenever we go somewhere." That friend was almost a foot shorter than him so he never minded. "Junhong smiled at the invitation and nodded happily. "Yeah that sounds good! What book is that?" He asked curiously reminded of why he came to the bookstore in the first place.
@CHOI JUNHONG "Ramen hair?" Youngjae used the back of his hand to muffle a soft chuckle upon hearing the cute nickname. Actually, he believed that he'd have addressed him like that if he could. If Junhong ever curled his hair again, Youngjae wanted to be the first one saying that. Laughing at his own silly thoughts, he put back his phone, smiling sheepishly at the compliment. "Yeah, and you're my dongsaeng" He said, feeling somehow more relaxed at the fact that the other was younger, even thoigh his height was intimidating as hell. When the other patted his head, he felt indeed tiny. "Are you sure? Maybe I should wear insoles around you" Youngjae managed to joke, laughing as he raised a bit his book. "I'm... Going to pay for this, and maybe later you want to grab some coffee or?" Encouraging himself that he should open up a bit more to people, Youngjae waited for the other's reaction in silence.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Junhong laughed and nodded. "I got that quite a lot actually, my friends called me ramen hair for awhile." He replied honestly, even though he was teased for it he did miss that hair since it did look good on him. Junhong smiled when Youngjae fished out his phone to show him a picture of his blonde hair, glad that it meant the other was getting more comfortable with him. "You looked good with blonde hair!" He exclaimed as he looked at the picture Youngjae showed him. "I guess you're my hyung then." He shook his head and smiled sheepishly and patted the older's head. "You're not tiny I'm just freakishly tall."
@CHOI JUNHONG Youngjae peeked at the picture the other was showing, blinking few times, before a small chuckle left his lips. "It looks rather cute. Like...noodles?" He adventured to say, chuckling once again as he looked up at the other. Somehow the fact that the other didn't feel uncomfortable showing him a picture of himself made Youngjae feel equally comfortable, that's why he fished his phone out of his pocket and scrolled through his pictures untile he shown it to the other. "This was me with blonde. It was quite a long time ago" He explained with a soft nod. Widening his eyes slightly, he blinked several times, looking down at himself before looking up at the other again. "I'm 20. So am I your hyung? Why am I tiny?" He thought out loud, scratching the back of his head slightly.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Even though they had only been talking for a few minutes, Junhong was already beginning to consider Youngjae as a friend. Junhong knew and met a lot of people everywhere and he could that Youngjae just happened to be more shy which Junhong didn't have any problem with. Junhong grinned and nodded excitedly at the suggestion and pulled out his phone and scrolled through his photos, he clicked on one photo of him back when he had blonde curly hair and showed it to Youngjae. "I had my hair like this for a good couple months." He admitted. Junhong smiled happily when Youngjae told him which academy he went to, in the process revealing that they happened to go to the same school. "I'm 19!" Junhong answered, he knew that his height sometimes had a tendency to throw people off when it came to his age. However, it did help him get into clubs when he was younger and needed a fake I.D.
@CHOI JUNHONG It was his opportunity. Youngjae was aware that if he didn't screw too much, maybe he could gain a friend that time. After all, the other insisted on talking to him instead of just leaving. That was a good sign, right? Having almost forgotten how to properly socialize, Youngjae ust tried to shrug away any rest of hesitation and smiled back at the other. "Really? Maybe we could share some pictures about our blonde times..." He said, a throaty laugh leaving his lips. Youngjae told Junhong the academy he attended, blinking afterwards by the other's words. "Oh, is that so?" He asked. It was normal for him to frequent those places, but he knew some people could find them boring. So giving the other a reassuring smile, he looked up at him, realizing once again how tall he was. "How old are you?" He asked out loud, the question leaving his mouth even before he could stop himself. After all, being so big, there was a chance he was older, and he didn't want to be unrespectful. However, his face had soft traits, like, a baby somehow? Youngjae couldn't be really sure.
Junhong could tell that the other boy was nervous, he hoped he wasn't making him too uncomfortable but he wanted to be his friends. "I've been blonde before too! I think brown would suit you well, but if you want to try another fun color you should try blue!" He rambled excitedly, he liked talking about fun stuff like hair dye. It was interesting to him since it was a way to express himself that was noticeable. "It's nice to meet you Youngjae!" He replied with a smiled, he was always happy to make a new friend. "Which academy?" He asked curiously hoping that they happened to go to the same school and just always seemed to miss each other in the hallway or something. Junhong shook his head and smiled sheepishly. "This is actually the second time I've ever stepped foot in a bookstore." He answered honestly a little embarrassed.
@CHOI JUNHONG [Sorry for slow reply. I lost this one :c]
Youngjae couldn't help but lightly fiddle with the edges of the book due to the other's presence. Again, he wished he wasn't so socially awkward when it came to talk to unfamiliar people, but it was as if a lump formed on his throat each time he tried to voice out his thoughts, insecurities building inside him. His face slightly heated up when the other even complimented him, and a small smile formed on Youngjae's lips as he looked up at the taller male. The other seemed strangely nice, not fake but genuinely. Therefore, Youngjae took a deep breath and tried to act as normally as he could, as same as to raise his voice more than his usual mumbling. "I have. I tried blonde once. But I think I like this one better... Even if it's a bit bright. I don't knoe which color to try next, actually" Once he realized he was indeed voicing out his mind, he pressed his lips into a thin line and smiled apologetically for having got carried away on the matter. "I'm Youngjae" Surprised by the other's words, since mostly people didn't even talk to him for too long, because he was usually seen alone and everyone thought it was because he liked it that way, Youngjae's eyes enclosed as he genuinely chuckled, nodding softly as he turned to fully face the other. "I do. And if I'm not here, I'm at the library of my academy" Youngjae didn't know how old the other was, nor if he studied somewhere. The other had asked though it wouldn't be weird if he did so too, right? "How about you? Do you come here often?" Maybe they just haven't met before because they went there at other times of the day.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Junhong nodded and gave the other boy a bright smile. He liked the orange color, he himself had dyed his hair a various of different color before. Red was one of his personal favorites. He liked to be able to change his look every now and then. "It looks good on you, have you done other colors before?" He asked curiously, he knew a lot of people that often died his hair but this boy seemed a little more timid than the people that he knew. "I'm Junhong by the way." He stated and stuck out his hand for the other boy to shake. "Not to sound cheesy but do you come here often?" Junhong asked. This had been his second time coming here, the first time was because he needed to buy a book for school that wasn't in the school library. It wasn't that he didn't like it here, because he did, he liked the calm chill vibes that the place gave off. It's just he never really had a reason to com since he didn't read much to begin with.
@CHOI JUNHONG Youngjae felt calmed and relaxed, as he just held one of those books in his hands. After all, the smell of the freshly new books filled the air, and that scent had always made Youngjae feel just right. Some times, when the library at the school was just too crowded due to some project, the orange-haired boy not enjoying at all being surrounded by so many people, he headed towards the city, letting his steps lead him to that library he had found some time ago. Even with his reduced budget, it didn't hurt him to spend it on those novels that continued feeding his imagination. All the stories, adventures, mysteries and even romances, that were narrated on those books, Youngjae could imagine he was living every and each of them. It was exciting. Being too caught up in the decision of which book to pick that day, he didn't realize the other's presence until someone talked just next to him. As an instinct, Youngjae closed his book quickly and slightly tensed up at the surprise, raising his gaze up to meet the taller's boy. "Oh... my hair?" He asked, blinking as he unconsciously reached to touch it a bit, before his lips drew an awkward smile. "I was, uhm, trying something new" He explained. If he had known that the color would have brought so many people's attention, since that wasn't the first comment he got about his hair, maybe he would have tried with a more discrete color.
@YOO YOUNGJAE Junhong wasn't the biggest bookworm but he'll read a book if anyone recommends it to him. Today, however he was looking at books as a gift for a friend who was a bookworm. Although he didn't really know what to get, so he mainly just walked through the aisles to see if any titles caught his eye. So far nothing really seemed that interesting or worth a second glance. He was getting close to grabbing a random book and just getting that, until he passed by an aisle and saw a head of bright orange hair. He walked up to the other male and blinked. "Orange is an interesting choice for a hair color."
