Despite his heart rate picking up at the mere prospect of a conflict, be it verbal, or worse yet, physical, James managed to maintain a calm demeanor. "Now-" He backed away as the vampire leaned closer, not so much out of fear, but privacy and personal space; He absolutely hated it when people he didn't know would breach it. "In my defence, I don't know whether I'm a vampire or not yet, so I can sit wherever I want." That came out wrong. Oh, . "I mean- literally, that I have that, uhm... right, I guess. Or whatever."
Jongin smirks softly as he sat down on the table facing him which that was amusing for him since he have never seen people sitting on their table. He chuckles softly as he looks at his friend and then at the young male sitting infront of him. " well i am not here for trouble either but it is to weird to see human sitting with the rest of the vampires.." He his lips as he leans closer of the human. " and you know we have been craving food since this morning and i guess now we found it... so what do you say?"
@✙ KIM JONGIN Honestly, James had not meant to sit with the group, but there were no free tables, and this one was about the only one that put some distance between himself and said group. He sat at the very corner, hoping that he wouldn't be chatted to, as he didn't feel particularly social that day. Still, a chat would be preferred than what actually happened; Someone was giving him attitude. James looked up to him, chewing on his bite a few seconds before he swallowed. "No other table," he explained, gesturing to their surroundings. "Not looking for trouble either."
@JAMES CLAYTON It was another normal of day at school which there was nothing important going lately. Jongin sighed as he was feeling bored as he needs something to do before he go mentally crazy. He had a few friends sitting around as they were all talking about their life and food they wanted to it. One of friends look at Jongin as he notice he was not paying attention since he was staring out in the window seeing everyone enjoying their life as for him, he was stuck inside since he was vampire. His friend playfully punches his arms as he turn around seeing a young male sitting on their table which it was weird since no one sits with use since they know we are the vampire. He smirks softly before he stood up made his way at the end of the table leaning on it slowly. "Hey kiddo... Just to let you know you are in the wrong table"
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Youngjae stepping back was something Brian expected. The other was probably scared from what happened before and he understood that. But the cry that left his lips made Brians heart hurt. He didn't want that from Youngjae. He didn't want the other so scared that he couldn't speak. Brian took a step back to make him feel more comfortable in the situation before trying again. "You don't have to be scared..I swear I'm not mad anymore. I just want to talk. Can we do that?" Brian was prepared to listen to whatever Youngjae had to say without interrupting or assuming he was lying. He felt bad for letting his emotions take it this far, especially if Youngjae really had nothing to do with what happened to Yongguk. And Brian was starting to believe he was wrong to assume the other had lied. He hadn't known Youngjae for long but he did consider him a friend so he was going to give him the chance he deserved instead of jumping to conclusions again.
@✙ BRIAN KANG The human did want to leave there, to hide and find a place to go unnoticed maybe for the whole week if that was possible. And well, his room would have been the best option if it wasn't because the orange-haired boy actually felt his breath getting stuck in his throat by the thought of being indoors. Wipping all the tears that kept flooding down his cheeks, trying his best to hide his sobs and hiccuping, Youngjae jolted and even jumped a bit when he heard Brian's voice, and despite of the change of tone used by the other, he still could recall the hate he had seen on his eyes before and with panic, Youngjae stepped back, looking at him briefly before dropping his gaze to the floor. He parted his lips, trying to say something, but as the only sound that left his throat was a shaky cry, he decided to close them tightly together and stay still, hoping to calm down. He felt so lame, for crying out like that, yet pressure was just overwhelming.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian quickly made his way out the cafeteria after he pondered the thought for a little longer. His anger get subsided and his only goal was to find Youngjae. He wasn't sure what would happen when he did but he had to try. He ran down the halls of the academy quickly, checking every classroom he could without being too much of a disturbance to the other students. He couldn't get in trouble now. The vampire stopped running after a few minutes to catch his breath. Why was he trying so hard to find him? For all he knew, the other could just be lying, or trying to cover for his brother. Thinking that made a weird feeling come to Brian. Now that he wasn't as mad, he was able to think clearly. Youngjaes face looked sincere and his words.. Brian decided he'd check the garden before heading to a café to reevaluate the situation. He walked through the garden slowly, not expecting to find anyone but the usual kids skipping, but was greeted with a sight that made him stop dead in his tracks. He was crying. Youngjae was crying.. because of him. Brian hesitantly moved closer to the other and stood about a foot away, trying his best not to scare him anymore than he probably already had. "H-hey.... Youngjae, can we talk? I promise I'm not mad anymore.." Sure he was still irritated by the whole problem but he was in a while different mindset than before.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Youngjae wasn't really sure about where to go, but what he had clear was that he had to leave from there. He had to or he'd break down in the middle of the cafeteria, between all those students that he didn't know about, and he didn't want that. Worries had been attacking the boy's mind for the very first moment Yongguk told him about what his own brother had done to him. A strong shiver of fear had hit him, as same as pure deception for being related in any way with such a person. And he knew it would bring not just one problem at that academy. However, he had hoped he'd be able to explain, he'd be able to be understood by the ones who he thought were his 'friends', because well, they were little to almost inexistent, that's why teh orange-haired boy appreciated and cherished them. With shaky breathing, and avoiding any crowd he found around the corridors, Youngjae went finally out of those walls that made him feel like he could barely breath, and went to the garden instead, clutching at his things as his cheeks finally started to get wet when he was alone.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian didn't pay much attention to Youngjaes words. As far as he was concerned the story was an attempt to keep himself safe. If his brother contacted his grandmother then he surely spoke to Youngjae a few times. Well thats what Brian was thinking. But a thought did bother him. Youngjae didn't really have a reason to do anything to Yongguk. The human didn't look like he was capable to do some of the things Yongguk spoke of. But knowing what was happening and not doing anything was the same as committing the act in Brians eyes, and that's exactly what he thought had happened. Youngjaes shaky apology had Brian looking at him in a somewhat softer way. Deep down he still cared for the boy but he was too angry to realize the affect his words had on him. That is until the other bowed to him. Brian swore he saw a tear run down the others face and that combination had him shook for a moment. As Youngjae left Brian was left standing, wondering if he had been telling the truth all along. Why else would he bow? Even though he had lived in Canada for most of his life he still knew it was a form of respect and sincerity. His whole attitude changed as he debated to follow the other or not.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Youngjae's eyes widened slightly as he sported a bewildered expression. Of course he was aware that it wouldn't be easy to explain the whole thing, but Brian reacted even more angry. "I'm not lying" He just said, still in a silent voice, head lowering in pure shame as he held in a breath. "I've barely lived with my brother and he just contacted my grandmother from time to time" The fact that he had been living out of the main house usually carried that Youngjae barely knew anything about his parents nor his brother. And well, after having been treated so nonchalantly by them, he stopped asking his grandmother for information, and instead focused on her and himself. His eyes started to obviously water as he clenched his fists on his lap. It hurt more than he remembered, and breathing with some difficulty, the human finally looked up at the other. Had he really brought problems to Yongguk? "S-sorry, I-" The moment he started to apologize, his words came out slightlt choked out. He wasn't sure why he was apologizing, but he did. His head was throbbing and he didn't want to break into tears just there, at the cafeteria, in front of so many people as same as Brian. And once a single tear managed to roll down his cheek when the vampire said that he had liked him, Youngjae stood up in silence, holding tightly onto his backpack and bowing slightly at him, a shaky apology leaving his lips again while he got out of the place, the walls surrounding him bringing anxiety to his chest.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian kept his eyes on Youngjae as he tried to explain the situation. The whole thing sounded fake to him. There was no way he was unaware of what happened. His fists were once again clenched at his sides in an attempt not to hit the other. As much as he hated him, he still cared for him. It didn't make much sense but it benefited Youngjae a lot. Brian glared down to the other, shaking his head in obvious disbelief. "There's no way you were that clueless! You had to have known something was wrong!" Brian ran his hands over his face. A way to dismiss the tears threatening to fall and to calm himself. He was making a scene and no one needed to know what they were talking about. He sighed and leaned into the others personal space until he was inches away from his face. "The only reason you're still alive is because you're his only friend... You don't want to know what Yongguk did just to save someone like you..." He spoke in a bitter tone, clearly unhappy with the situation. There were times when Brian got in this mood and he was pretty irrational. "You want to know what the stupid part was...I actually liked you. I liked you so much but I guess things just don't work out."
@✙ BRIAN KANG It had been some time already and Youngjae was still on the same position, not having moved at all, even if the people surrounding him indeed had, some of them having finished their food already. He wasn't stupid. He knew why Brian was mad at him. And even if it wasn't his fault, Youngjae couldn't bring himself to blame him. Maybe he was too used to be unfairly treated like he was guilty of things he hadn't done. First, his parents, and now, thanks to his brother, the story seemed to be starting over again. Tensing up as Brian returned to the cafeteria, Youngjae raised his gaze and looked at him, hiding his trembling hands between his thighs as he slowly shook his head. "I'm not him. I didn't even know what he had done to Yongguk until he told me days ago" He murmured, a dry lump forming on his throat. He felt like complete at the moment. Yongguk was, together with Brian, one of the few people that wanted to talk to him. And even being used to be alone for practically all his life, Youngjae couldn't bring himself to imagine how would it be to return to it, now that he had realized how good it felt to have someone by your side. "I-I'm... I'm not like him. I'd never hurt anyone like that..."
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian walked down the hallway glaring at anything and anyone that got in his way. He knew he'd have to have better control of his anger due to being a vampire but his emotions always got the best if him. After a few minutes of angry pacing he marched back into the cafeteria and straight up to Youngjae with a face full of emotions. "How could you!?....he never did anything wrong yet you allow that you call a brother to do that to him!?" His voice was loud, but still cracked with the sadness he felt. He at first thought of Youngjae as a nice person who just needed to break from his shell, but now he had no clue what to think. Brian stood glaring hard at him as tears filled his eyes. He refused to let them fall but it was obvious he was hurting. "I don't want you anywhere near him. You don't deserve to be around him, all you humans are the same....and people have the nerve to call us monsters.."
@✙ BRIAN KANG Youngjae stayed still, somehow really wishing for the other to just assure he wasn't feeling bad or anything. However, the vampire just stormed out of the cafeteria, leaving Youngjae speechless, and making some people look at him weirdly. Hugging his backpack tightly, Youngjae decided against following him, because it was obvious the other didn't want him close. And the more he thought about it, and about the conversation he had with Yongguk days ago, the more he understood what was happening. A painful and bitter sensation made him feel like throwing up instead of eating anything, and, losing his appetite, he still sat down on the chair the other was using, looking down at his hands in silence.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian was about to reply with some harsh words but took a breath. It didn't work. He wanted to go off on Youngjae but he had to keep his cool. After closing his eyes momentarily, Brian stood up rather rudely and stormed towards the exit. He hoped Youngjae would get the idea and not follow him. He didn't know what he would do because just looking at the others face made him want to punch it repeatedly. Who knows what would happen if he had to hold an actual conversation with him.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Youngjae jolted in surprise, jumping slightly in his place as he looked at the other with widened eyes. Definitely, he wasn't expecting that, and the expression of shock he sported obviously showed it. The first thing that crossed Youngjae's mind was about the other not feeling well, not considering it an option for him to be just mad or angry. "A-are you ok...?" He asked while swallowing thickly, the other's previous harsh words still having a negative effect on him.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian groaned hearing the others voice. He glanced up with an irritated look. Why did he have to come now of all times. It took all of his strength not to reach over the table and kill Youngjae. Deep down he still cared for the boy, he really did but it was blinded by the rage he was feeling. This resulted in him speaking through a clenched jaw. "Go away." His words were short and harsh and he honestly didn't care. His fists were balled under the table in an attempt to calm himself down. He couldn't make a scene here.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Youngjae had been hesitating for quite some time before he finally stepped inside he cafeteria. His stomach was grumbling in an annoying way. The student actually visited said place everyday, but mostly at hours when everyone had already eaten. The reason was simple. He had no one to sit with, and the struggling of finding a spot for himself, at a corner, or rather surrounded by people that didn't pay attention to him, sounded kind of discouraging. His eyes though, spotted a certain someone he hadn't seen around in some time, and with a smile, he rushed towards him, holding onto his backpack. "Brian! Hello! Have you... Have you eaten already?" He asked, drifting his gaze to the fries that were in front of him.
@❂ YOO YOUNGJAE Brian sat alone in the cafeteria with a basket of fries in front of him. He wasn't exactly sure why, they did nothing for him. He slowly ate a few before deciding to leave. There was no point in staying somewhere so noisy. He wanted quiet. He wanted to think. He stood up getting ready to make his exit until he saw something, well someone he desperately tried to avoid. Youngjae. He felt anger, with a mix of sadness, run through his body as he quickly sat back down. That wasn't very smooth but maybe the other didn't see him. Brian looked down at the table with one hand covering half of his face, praying the other hadn't seen him.
