@✤ KWON JIYONG Brian let out a small groan as he shook his head. Academic probation was something he knew the school did but he didn't actually think they enforce it. Even though he was really close to getting it he didn't think it was right to put the punishment in motion early. "It's not fair Jiyong! If I'm close then let me handle it, you don't have to step in." Brian sighed deeply, not caring that he was talking to a teacher. There were times when he acted like a spoiled brat and he knew he shouldn't but he was really irritated by the situation. "I don't think you need to know. Besides they aren't 'school appropriate' so they don't concern you." Brian gave a small shrug while looking away from the other. His private life was kind of hectic and he didn't feel like sharing.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Jiyong looked over at the other. He felt a bit bad pulling that card on him and technically he was getting close to it. Brian was getting close to be put on academic probation and luckily it didnt get close to that. His father came just in time to help. That man had time for just for all that stuff. "You skipped a lot of class and you could be soon unless you start attending." He sighed this school had a an attendance policy, since it was a private school. He sighed and looked at the other. "Well Im telling you what you could. he wanted to help him and learn more than these things. What better things do you have? Please enlighten me about these things." He rose a brow to the younger. This was just a brat and he really needed a parent figure in life.
@✤ KWON JIYONG Brian stayed quiet while Jiyong was talking. He did not want some teacher helping him with something he didn't view as a problem. The words probation made his eyes widen then form into a glare. "What do you mean probation? You can't do that when I haven't done anything!" Brian did not enjoy being with the students in the school. There were a few he could tolerate and some he had liked but that wasn't enough to keep him in class. "You're already doing bad by putting me on probation! Just because my dad comes and acts tough for a while doesn't mean you have to listen. You can't make me stay in class with those people, I really have better things to do." Brian knew getting an attitude wouldn't solve any problems but he didn't care. He was starting to get mad about the situation.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Jiyong knew his father better than anyone. His mannersims and attitude were still the same. This could have gone worse, but luckily for the school he came to see himself. He folded his arms looking at other. He smiled at his small laugh and didnt think he was babysitting at all. He wanted to help a student and that was his job other than teaching students. He shook his head at him and knew that he didnt want this but he didnt have choice. "Mmmm he could be but a parent came here and im here to help you whether you like it or not. So you are in a bit of probation if that makes it better." He smiled a bit sweetly. This was nothing to mess with and well he would like to help him see the side of humans that were to be able to be favorable. He walked over to the side and tilted his head. "Your attendance in calculated in the end and you still need to be there. So what im saying is that lets just try to get you there and be better than the average. I dont want you to feel like im here to do anything bad I guess."
@✤ KWON JIYONG Brian took Jiyongs word and decided not to comment. He was well aware of how his father got when he was in a mood. The whole interaction in the hall was probably the nicest he had been to Brian in a few months. Brian let out a chuckle with the teacher but still felt a little awkward with him. Jiyongs expression lead Brian to mentally remind himself not to use the word babysit. With a shake of his head, the younger gave him a face showing how displeased he was. "I don't need you to advise me, or help me. I'm doing pretty good on my own daddy is just throwing a fit." He ended his remark in a childish tone, one he would never use if his father was actually present. "Even though I'm not showing up, I'm still passing. With a little over average scores so what's the problem? And if you've done what I'm doing then I'm guess you don't want to relive it." Brian was saying anything he could to discourage the older male from keeping tabs on him. He didn't like the idea at all.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Jiyong was much more nicer than his father and well he never had kids of his own. He grew kinder over the years and was always on the better side when he was younger. His son seemed decent and not like his father. His father would have knocked his hand away and sweeped his leg and what not. "The pleasure is all mine. And no need. I have known him long enough and this could have gone worse believe it or not." He laughed a bit to make it a lighter tone. He rose a brow to the other when he said baby sit. He shook his head at him. "No that's not me. Im here to adivse you and I want to help you. These classes are important and you should be going. The way you live? I probably did what you did when i was younger before i met your father." He wouldnt let down on a brotherly promise on him, not only that it would get them fighting again even if he didnt try.
@✤ KWON JIYONG Brian didn't move until he was sure his father wouldn't come back just to chew him out more. He cared for his father, he really did but the guy was kind of a jackass at times. He grabbed Jiyongs hand and stood up, putting on a small smile. "It's nice to meet you too, and I'd just like to apologize for my father. He's overreacting in my opinion." Brian sighed thinking about what he heard. The two obviously had a history he had no clue about and that didn't sit well with him. Especially since this guy was now assigned to babysit him. After letting out a gust of air, Brian scratched his neck awkwardly as he looked the other in the eyes for the first time. "Uh...so are you actually going to babysit me? I heard the whole conversation and it'll just be a waste of time really, I'm sure you're not interested in the way I live.." He tried to sound convincing. Seeing as how Jiyong was in fact a friend of his father he knew it was dumb to ask, but he had to try.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Jiyong was unaware of the younger that was listening to them both. He waited for the other to leave and he knew that he was here to make sure as a back up instead talking to his son. His brother was just like that and in every way. He still knew who he was a person. Times have changed but the personality never really change in honesty. He nodded stannding up waiting to go back to his office and then look for his son. "Well he is half of you. I hope not. Take time to know him better. Its easier that way than coming to me all the time." He knew the other would visit him again. He knew it for sure this was an invitie giving him his number. Hesmiled lightly at that. He actually might consider going back to that life. BUt it would take a lot of time to mull over it. "Ill think aobut it. Youre still my brother. I appreciate that and everything." He looked to see the other out and he saw that the his son was on the ground. He didnt know what else to take from it and he heard Kang scold him lightly and to just listen to him. He fixed his coat and smiled to his son when the other left the two behind. He held out his hand to the younger. "Its nice to finally meet you Brian. Im Kwon Jiyong."
@✤ KWON JIYONG Brian continued to listen to the two vampires talk until he heard some movement. He didn't know his father was planning on leaving so instead of moving away he leaned closer to the door in hopes of figuring out what was happening. Everything he had heard before swarmed through his head and to be completely honest he was kind of sad his father didn't take the time to just call him about it instead of showing up at the school.
Mr.Kang nodded at the others words and gave a small smile. "I'm aware he's my son. So you should hope he's nothing like me, that wouldn't be good for the humans." He took the card and placed it into his coat pocket. He was planning to visit again sometime in the future and having Jiyongs personal contact made the process easier. "Thank you, Jiyong. And my offer still stands, it will until you take it. Know that if you ever miss our life that you can still join me again. You've been my brother for a long time and I won't have a problem welcoming you back into the family." At that Mr Kang made his way to the door, after giving another bow, and opened it. He was unaware his son had been listening until he saw him laying on the ground from begin hit with the door. "Ah..I knew someone was following me. Listen kid, this is Mr.Kwon." He turned to point in the direction of the teacher before looking back down at Brian. " He'll be in charge of you until I deem it's no longer necessary so you'll do whatever he says without question, okay?" He didn't wait for an answer, already starting to walk to the exit. Brian stayed silent until he was sure his father was gone. He knew better than to disobey his orders so he turned his head to the teacher and gave a small smile. "Hi, uh..I'm Brian." He didn't know what to say in the situation he was in so introducing himself was a start.
@✙ BRIAN KANG He hadn't said his name in a few decades or so. It had been a while and he couldnt believe that he said it without being a sad about it. He looked at Kang and wondered why he didnt even say his first name. There was no point thinking about it. He knew that the other didnt like his decision about leaving, but he never hated his partner for it. He accepted his love and let him leave. He respected the man for it and well he still did. There was no point in it. When he told him he found a human lover he was rather shocked but proud. They were both alone now, their human companions in the dirt and well feeding the earth now for a long time. He left to be stable and keep the life from his angel but it still caught up. He was doing the things Jaewon would have wantd and he enjoyed his comfortable life, even if it became a bit mundane. He took a breath and nodded a bit. "Things have changed a great deal in the passing centuries hasnt it. Business... I only know you could actually do it..." He didnt say anything else when he said he wouldnt be breaking that promise. He didnt like that but he did miss that life. He would never admit to it but he would like to return and feel that power. He wouldnt would have to consider it. He crossed his arms and looked at the other. "That i know of well.. You always had different views on many topics than the rest.... Only a few of us could understand... He is your son... Dont forget about that." He stood up ready to see him off and nodded giving a light laugh. "Nice to know that offer still stands between us. Ill let you know... Ill keep in touch to talk about the buisness. As your old friend ill watch over him.." He pulled out his own card, "To reach me better. Youre still a brother me despite the lost years." He did miss running around and when he had no one he was there for him so lets see what things could work out.
@✤ KWON JIYONG Jaewon. That was a name he hadn't heard in a long, long time. There were many things Mr.Kang hated in the world, humans being at the top, but Jaewon was someone who he couldn't seem to hate. The fact that he was human didn't matter, he was still important to the Kangs. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't muster a single bad feeling for the other. Even though Jiyong had quite the lifestyle after meeting his love, Mr.Kang couldn't hate the pair. He of course felt anger and maybe a little hurt-- something he'd never admit--but never hatred. When he met his wife he would've changed his ways for her, but she loved him how he was, so he stayed the same for the years to follow. Torturing humans, fighting with other vampires that didn't agree with his ways, he just changed his style of doing things and managed to build a business off of it. "It has changed since the past. You could say in a way I grew up too, it's not just for fun. Let's call it business. You won't be breaking your promise to Jaewon so just think about it." Mr.Kang quickly checked his watch and sighed softly. He had to take his leave soon and it was something he was dreading but would never admit. After meeting with Jiyong, he didn't want to leave the academy without some hope the other would consider his offer. But he did have to leave. He had 'business' out of the country and couldn't afford to be late. Brians mother would never let him hear the end of it. "You're right, but don't get too comfortable doing it. You know his mother and I have always had.. different views on certain topics. She wanted him in the school and I couldn't refuse her. But I'll speak to the child another time. He knows where I stand when it comes to his grades." Mr.Kang stood up from his chair, his way of silently saying he was about to leave. He gave Jiyong a long stare before answering his question. "I know you will, and because of that just say what you want. Keep in mind I can't give you the world but maybe we can work something out." Mr.Kang smiled slightly at his own words before changing his demeanor to one of business. He knew how things were. In order for something to happen you have to be willing to give, which he was.
@✙ BRIAN KANG They had both kept track of how long they haven't seen each other. Of course he would keep track, it was fine reminder of how long he had been clean and stopped that wasteful life that they shared. Jiyong could never forget him, he was stained in his mind forever. These two used to be inseparable. Nothing could have torn them apart, they shared the memories of terrorizing humans and drinking doing all the horrible things that anyone could think of. They did it because they could and they had fun. Jiyong was one of the only people who saw past the heartless and cold demeanor of the elder. They shared the same views and well they couldnt have been more happier together. It changed when he had met his beloved human, his angel Jaewon. He quit his life and put the other aside. He quit his lifestyle for Jaewon and wanted to live happly with him. But he died and that was his fault and he wouldnt let it go and hide and stayed in a nice domestic quiet life and became a teacher. The younger infront of him said nothing and didnt give him a smile back. Jiyong was one of the few people he shared smiles with. "I suppose you can say that. I have heard around that you still do those things." He knew that he would try to bring him back to that life so they could rule together once more. "Why would they? I will admit to missing the fun of it, but i grew up Kang.. I chose this life for a reason and i dont want to go back on a promise to Jaewon.. You would probably try to do more to be again." They had their past and that is exactly it was, the past. He didnt want to go back no matter how much he wanted to recreate that power. He missed the others able to work around humans better than anyone else. Jiyong looked at the folded his hands on the table. H eknew that he wouldnt put his son in a place like this. Especially with such equality being taught here. "Im the only one that can insult you and get away with it. Good for his mother having a heart to try to trach him. He is fine. Maybe you should intervene and talk to your son as well." He sighed and looked at the other. That was one of his problems when he was with him. It was hard to deny him when he looked at him like that. "Ill try my best.. What do i get back from you?" He learned from the best, he wouldnt just do a favor for him unless he got something in return.
@✤ KWON JIYONG Mr.Kang was well aware of how long it had been since he was faced with the other. He wanted to know if he kept track, which his answer proved he did. Kwon Jiyong was a person Brians father refused to forget. He had many memories he treasured with the other. Even though most people would call them heartless and monsters for their previous actions together, he had a different view on things. They were strong, even more together, and they got their way. No matter what the cost. But then Jiyong had fallen in love. Everything changed after that. Sure Brians father found someone too but he had never quite the lifestyle they had lead. Mr.Kang nodded at the words coming from the other and gave a small smile. "Compared to the past, I think I handled myself pretty good. I mean, they're still alive aren't they?" A short chuckle was given before a more serious look came to his face. "You know no one would dare try that, to me or you. Tell me, you miss the old days right? The fear... bloodshed... power.. it's not too late to go back." It was true, Mr.Kang wouldn't mind going back to the way things were. He of course still kept at the activities but he couldn't deny that it was somewhat boring on his own since Brian showed little interest. On the other side of the door Brian was trying his best not to burst into the room and confront his father. Now wasn't the time to try to get Jiyong to join him again, but he honestly didn't expect anything else from his father. With a roll of his eyes, Brian pushed away the urge to enter the room and stayed silent, continuing to listen. His father had grown annoyed at Jiyongs assumption. He never wanted his son at the academy. It taught students that vampires, half-bloods, and humans could live as equals which was something he didn't agree on. "Please don't insult me like that. You know I wouldn't willingly sign him up here, that was his mothers doing. From what I've seen his work is fine, but I'm concerned his grades will drop if you keep allowing him to miss class. Listen Jiyong, I'm asking as a friend, keep an eye on him. You don't have to babysit, just don't let him fall behind. Okay?" Friend may have been the wrong choice in word but Mr.Kang still gave the other a friendly--well as friendly as he could get, look.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Jiyong had memories of being with his father. They ran around together in youth, well before he had thoughts of children. Both when the had the idea that they were the strongest and everyone was just inferior. They were good friends, til he found a human that he fell in love with and dropped from that life. He didnt care and he didnt feel like reminicing with him as well. Knowing him he would just laugh at him and try to get him back into his life once again. He had a life know and was comfortable living with his immortality like this. He sat at the table and looked at the other.
The man had not changed from the last time he had saw him. If anything the hair and sense of style has chanfed. He still had the charm of an oberwhelming with him. He sat their calmly watching the other as well. He waited for him to talk and see what was going on. He tilted his head at him and nodded. "I would definitly say it is a surprise." He sighed a bit and folded his arms. "It has been 153 years since I had seen you. And im sure you do know that." He hated that charming smile that he had on his face. He already knew that he felt like he was beneath him.
"Yes you are the reason for that. I could smell the fear in the halls. YOu should learn how to carry yourself better than that. Its amazing you last this long without someone ripping your head off and putting it on a spike." He wondered if he known that his son was attending a diverse school like this before. He didnt sat anything and he shrugged some. "I am not. Your son doesnt attend any of classes or is registered. But since he is a half blood i do have some concern then since I am on the board.' He shurgged some. "Maybe he takes after you and despises humans. Almost all the classes have full, half, and none vampire blood in them. This academy is college based. YOu should know this by know since you enrolled him here. He is accountable for his work as an adult. We are not here to babysit. Kang."
@✤ KWON JIYONG A quiet, annoyed sigh left Brians lips. Knowing his dad, he'd go on and on about the 'good old days' before getting to the point. Hearing his name had peaked his curiosity but had his mind running to remember what he had done wrong in the last 72 hours. It had to have been something bad for his dad to make a trip to the academy. He waved away anyone that asked if he was okay, not wanting to get caught in such an awkward position. He was currently pressed against the doors to the conference room with a look of fear mixed with curiosity. He had no reason to be in that position since his hearing was very good, to say the least. His thoughts were calmed when he heard his father speaking again.
Mr.Kang silently watched the other, having short memories of their past together make their way out. To see him running a school for vampires, humans and whatever in-between was enough to make him laugh. But it wasn't the time nor place for that. He was there on business, maybe he could worry about pleasure when he was finished. "When I called for this meeting I didn't expect to see you, but it's a nice surprise. How long has it been? A century? Maybe two?" He decided not to bring up certain events they did together, not wanting to get too distracted. Ha gave a small smile while leaning back slightly in his chair.
"Before we get down to business I do have to apologize, I may have freaked out some of your students." He wasn't aware that there would be so many half-bloods, even humans. He could kind of understand why Brian would skip class, and that was the problem in his eyes. " I'm not sure if you personally was aware of this, but he's been missing a lot of class time. Could you explain why that is? I thought you'd keep a better eye on students, especially in an academy like this." The look he gave was one that would have any other teacher shaking, but Jiyong had been with him for centuries. It was something he received whenever Mr.Kang was displeased so it was nothing new.
@✙ BRIAN KANG Jiyong had just finished his class. The class was finally finished and he was able to finish all the grading for this week and handed it back to his students. His class was a hybrid class of all the races. They enjoyed and was able to under the basics of psychology a bit. He was walking to his office to put away his things and maybe on the rest of the blood pack that was in the fridge. He needed to get his head sane. He was finally able to do that and smiled a bit to himself. He had a note said that there was to be a meeting in the conference room and that he needed to be there. He didnt know anything of the mattter, but it would have to deal with his students.
He made his way down again and he made sure to get there in time. He didnt know who was coming around but there was a slight talk that someone who looked pissed as hell or was scary looking was lurking around in the halls. The humans and even the half bloods were getting really freaked by this. He wondered who was here and doing this to the students. It wasn't the dean of the school. He was sure that Dracula himself wouldnt even freak out the students like this. Jiyong was there first and was waiting for the other to come. He didn tknow that it would be this man from his past. He sighed and was unaware that his son was listening on their conversation.
He looked atound and he was the only to be here in the office room. He had not been notified that this man would be coming at all and it seemed that this was going to be horrible. He looked at the face that use to torment him when he was a younger vampire. Out of respect he returned the bow. "Mr. Kang.... Likewise." That was all he could say. He sat down across the other male and loked at him. "I would suspect that... That would be the only reason. I know you wont want me to come back..." He nodded slightly. "I do... What brings your concern about your son?"
@✤ KWON JIYONG Mr.Kang walked through the halls silently, he payed no mind to the vampires that roamed the halls. The humans, however, got looks of hunger mixed with annoyance, but he wouldn't allow himself to get distracted. He had one reason for being at the academy, and after he handled it he didn't plan on sticking around. Once he reached the doors to the conference room he paused. He had the feeling of being followed but since he was short on time he shrugged it off and walked into the room, closing the door behind him.
Brian had heard news of a 'scary looking man' creeping out the humans and suspected it was his dad. Checking the parking lot confirmed his suspicions and the teen quickly made his was through numerous halls before catching a glimpse of his father. Brian was a smart child, he just had a bad habit of not showing up to classes. He followed his dad and realized he was heading to the conference room. A thought crossed his mind telling him not to eavesdrop but he was curious as to why his father came to the school. Especially without calling him first. Placing his ear to the door, Brian listened carefully. Trying to get as much information as he could.
It was a fairly big room, most of the lighting coming from the two windows. A long tables fitting for a little over twelve people, some paperwork lying around, your basic conference room. In one of the chairs he noticed someone he hadn't seen in a long time. "Ah, Mr.Kwon, it's nice to see you again." A short bow was given to the teacher before Mr.Kang sat down, folding his hands on the table. "I'm sure you know I'm here to have a few words about my son. You remember Brian, right?" He knew he spoke of his child once before to the other, but that was years ago.
