@♛ yuuki Pulling his jacket even closer Sunghoon took to walking the perimeter of the lake while waiting. It's not that he was impatient, because he could definitely wait for Yuuki, but he just wasn't used to it. Most of their meetings had been on time, and if he needed to cancel he always did it before either of them went out so one wouldn be stuck here in the dark. Thinking back on it he knows Yuuki's never missed a meeting before - hell, he's the one that came up with the idea after...what happened. Sunghoon shivers a bit, either from the cold or remembering their first encounter like this. He pauses in his steps and glances back at the lake, then sits on the edge of a rock near the shore.
He remembers when Yuuki approached him, obviously quite suspicious of Sunghoon who just so happened to be hungrier than ever that day. The half-vampire had been skimping on his meals in favor of getting work done, which was clearly a bad choice when he woke up one evening with prominent fangs and a dry mouth. Instead of doing something about it Sunghoon cancelled all his sessions and stayed in his office. Initially, he was just going to wait until nightfall, where he could slip into the woods undetected and maybe find a deer or some other large enough animal. Those plans were admittedly dashed when Yuuki (simply a fellow acquaintance at the time) came right out with what he believed was the truth. Of course, he was right, and though Sunghoon told himself he had a strict code to /not/ feed from other people he couldn't stop himself when the other had been so forward.
His fangs had pierced the other's skin easily enough, and before he knew it Sunghoon had already taken too much. When he held a limp Yuuki in his arms that night he may or may not have freaked out. They probably wouldn't even be meeting up now if Yuuki hadn't reassured him then that he was fine, that he was okay, that Sunghoon hadn't...
Shaking his head, as if to dispel the unpleasant thought Sunghoon was met with reality in the form of a cold breeze. His eyes focused on the ripples caused by it, using them to take his mind off the matter. So stuck in his thoughts he didn't notice the sound of approaching footsteps - wasn't thinking to look behind his back in case someone was coming. Even if his acute hearing picked up on the noise Sunghoon's brain did not, and he only noticed that there was another person in the vicinity when their voice was spoken clearly out loud. Jumping in surprise, Sunghoon laid a hand over his heart, feeling it pick up the pace only slightly as he whipped around to see Yuuki. He let out a relieved sigh, slumping a bit and patting his chest. "Don't scare me like that." he said, taking another moment to gather himself before standing up straight.
Now that Yuuki was actually here Sunghoon could sense a familiar thrum under his skin - his "other" side, if you will. Clasping his hands together in front of him he did his best to tamp down the craving for fear of losing control again. While this fear had sparked from their first meeting it was irrational when he wasn't /starving/. He would never take enough to make the other faint again, or worse, because Sunghoon simply wasn't that kind of vampire. Even so, he still made efforts to tame himself at the cost of his own well-being.
In favor of delaying the inevitable Sunghoon offered Yuuki a small smile, glancing up at the moon before speaking again. "Nice, uh, weather we're having, right?"
@♛ sunghoon k. The night was colder than Yuuki had imagined. He had to grab a black coat to shield him from the biting cold. The meeting had taken longer than expected, the head counselors bickering amongst themselves only served to delay Yuuki's other meeting even more. He was already late as is, and was not happy about it. One step out of the Big House and he was stopped, yet again, by an infuriating man he wanted nothing to do with. But, just to keep him on airs, he decided to help the old man out. For almost fifteen minutes he stood there, trying to help the old geezer sort out a schedule that could have been figured out by a camper under five minutes. But no. Yuuki had to stand there and explain every little detail to the male, his eyes growing dark with hatred by every passing second. It was horrible enough that the coat was doing little to keep the male warm - he had no time to change when he left his room.
The uniforms the camp gave out to the staff was not what Yuuki had expected... it was much more plain than what he was used to. He was used to leather, furs, luxurious fabrics... not to mention almost too revealing. And then there was his choice in... footwear. They were not comparable to the terrain the camp was situated on, but somehow the male made them work. Even if he was in six inch, platform heels he walked like he was born in them, and never missed a step. Must have something to do with being the son of Eros. But today he decided to keep it... fairly... simple: a pair of black shorts, an almost too thin shirt, and black sneakers. His legs were exposed and he was shivering. "Ah, thank you so much Yuuki," the old man laughed, looking over the perfectly constructed schedule. "Now I can-"
When he looked up, Yuuki had made a break for it. The moon was rising high in the sky at that point and he knew he was more than a little late. He knew, for a fact, Sunghoon would be waiting at their usual meet up spot. He hated making people wait. With a passion. He ran as fast as his small frame could carry him, his feet hitting the ground with light steps as he hugged the coat to himself. The night air stung at his nose and made his eyes water. The canopy above was thick; so thick the moonlight barely shined through. But he knew, in about a few yards or so, the forest floor would be flooded with moonlight and that's when he knew he was close. But for now, he needed to dodge trees, dodge exposed roots and dodge bugs. At one point he almost ran into a tree, point blank, because he was running too fast. Then the light began dotting the forest floor. It went from small slivers of light to beams to full on luminescence. When he directed his gaze to the sky, when he came to a sudden halt in the middle of a break in the canopy, he noticed the full moon. Deep ragged breaths escaped Yuuki as he smiled to himself, admiring the light and the beauty before he started to walk. He knew Sunghoon... what he was, and he took it upon himself to feed him. Not that he minded - he would give anything to keep the male safe and out of harm's way. And if that meant losing a couple mouthfuls of blood every other night, he would do it. With his hands shoved in his pockets his mind wandered... recounting the first night when this whole thing began.
Yuuki had been the one to confront Sunghoon - putting all the suspicious pieces together and making a full puzzle out of what the male was. With that, he kind of... forced... himself on Sunghoon. Looking back at it, it probably wasn't the smartest of ideas, but where would the male be now if he wasn't voluntarily giving away his blood? Hunting animals? Attacking people? Better Yuuki than anyone else. And that first feeding... boy was he not expecting the son of Selene to take so much. He passed out after a few mouthfuls. That was embarrassing. Even though Sunghoon adamantly refused to take anymore from Yuuki... But Eros' son had other plans.
As he allowed his mind to wander he didn't realize that his feet had carried him to the clearing where the edge of the forest meets the water, and he looked up to find a figure standing there. A smirk drew upon his rosy lips as he strolled over to the male with quiet steps. "Waiting for someone?" he asked with a teasing lilt in his voice, approaching the male with his hands in his pockets and his head tilted to the side a bit.
@♛ yuuki The moon is already up quite high by the time Sunghoon actually leaves his office. Making sure he left the desk light on - appearances, his mind supplies - he glanced one last time back at the small cabin before entering the woods. As he traipsed over the man-made trails he pulled his jacket closer around his shoulders, shivering a bit at the drop in temperature and walking a bit faster to make up for it. You'd think he wouldn't get cold because of, well, what he was, but the godly side of him was every bit as susceptible to the weather as a human half would be. Sometimes he wonders about the greatness of two super-powered halves when he can barely brave the cold without sneezing a few hours later.
Abandoning that train of thought, almost tripping over a tree root because of it, Sunghoon listens carefully to the sounds of the woods. The only footsteps he can hear are his own. A good sign, seeing as he doesn't want to be followed in any way. Yuuki probably wouldn't want to be discovered either, if only because it was Sunghoon they were meeting up with. Smiling - though ruefully - at the notion, Sunghoon pushed deeper into the trees until he could barely make out the moonbeams dotting the forest floor. That's when he knew he was almost there.
Sunghoon decided to slow down a bit as he neared his destination, making his steps as quiet as possible so he could hear even better. You could never be too cautious. He supposes, really, that he shouldn't make such a big deal out of this, but he can't help it. Sunghoon doesn't like it when people find out what he is - he's seen enough reactions to last him a lifetime, most of them unpleasant save for a few. It sometimes makes him wish he was back at the temple, but when the other memories along with it come flooding back he tamps them down and saves them for another time. Only when he's truly alone does he actually think about it.
Finally, coming to an obscure break in the treeline, Sunghoon peeks his head around one of the trunks before stepping out. He's standing on the shore of a small lake, different from the main body of water of the camp, watching as the moon ripples in its reflection before looking around for Yuuki.
@jimin p. *the students crowded around the grounds, some with shields and swords in their hands, other with bows and makeshift arrows - the arrows were blunt tipped and cushioned, dipped in paint, ensuring the defense team did not get hurt; he was busy helping a few students dip their arrow heads in paint and sending them off to scatter beyond the tree line in a mock ambush simulation; once the students were in place he had them count off*
...one missing *he whispers to himself, his one good eye narrowing as he scans the field for the familiar face that had disappeared; off to the side he heard snickers from a group of boys, manhandling their swords and shields - granted the swords were not sharp, they were blunt enough to cut through an arrow; the name "jimin" kept popping up and he sighed* damn it. Alright. Just ing stay here. I need to go get the lost lamb.
*with a piercing whistle, his horse comes from seemingly out of nowhere; in one swift movement he is on his horse mid stride and kicking his heels into the sides, galloping towards the forest; it takes his a couple minutes before he finds the trail, a snarl coming for him; as he approaches, his right hand coils with smoke and he whips the air with a now solid black whip, the cracking sound echoing harshly through the dense brush*
*when he finally sees the boy off in the distance, he stands up on his horse and sent the whip flying through the air, catching on bow and yanking it back towards him; when he jumps off the horse he snarls, deadly and menacing as he approaches the boy* what are you doing?
@♕ koichi /slow, cautious steps were taken into the forest, the pine needles littered across the ground cause a small crunch with each of my steps and i frown, knowing the i'll be in for getting caught out here at this time.
/my trusted bow was slung over my back, arrows in their quiver and at my disposal, eyes peeled for some good targets; sinks my teeth into my lower lip, now swiftly skulking through the area with large strides.
/slides up against a tree, taking my bow from its stagnant position into my hands, drawing an arrow and prepares my shot; jumps out from my cover, in a blink of an eye the arrow had flown between two branches and hit the adjacent stump with ease and i grin in satisfaction.
perfect.
/gallops over towards my shot and picks it up, studying the damage down to the bark and snickers inwardly; the sound of a snapping twig catches my attention, and an arrow just barely hitting my head and into the tree beside me had me alarmed, quickly drawing another arrow.
who's there?
Hello, Baekhyun has taken his leave! I'm so happy that there was a Percy Jackson-themed rp though. Thank you for having me, and good luck with everything!
