zhang yixing...
at last, i call you husband.
❝The union of water and air gave birth to life as we all know and love it; a junction necessary for each and every remnant of existence that we hold precious.❞
A SCRAPBOOK
for the memories of a lifetime...
You took me by surprise...
And you had me addicted.
But I wouldn't have it any other way...
Because at the end of the day,
Without you by my side,
I would never have discovered...
What it means to love...
Or what it feels like to find 'the one.'
I have tried for over a year to imagine this day. I've thought about every detail; the flowers, the suits, the aesthetics I would like to go for- but every thought always leads back to one realization: It doesn't matter as long as you are by my side. Zhang Yixing, it's finally happening and I couldn't be more in love with you.

with this ring i thee wed...
And with it, I share the title of Mr. Zhang.
Zhang Yixing, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that you, a lovely, sensitive, affectionate man fell for me. Even during my worst moments, you find the beauty in every imperfection that I would never realize otherwise. To you, clinginess is simply an overflow of affection, and being territorial is a display of loyalty.
Do you recall some of our earlier days? From the airport, the cottage, and your condo, I never once felt underappreciated. I vividly recall an interaction between us where we compared our love to a Grecian Myth- except, without all the consequences found within many of those stories. I can't help but to feel that the story we made for each other paralleled unbelievably well for us. The story went "There once was a man who lived his life carelessly, never thought about affection he needed in his life. One day, after hours and weeks spent living this life, the man stumbled into the lap of another. And oh how much he thought they were alike, a little wild and rough around the edges. The man thought 'oh what a coincidence to meet a friend who seems to understand' and he didn't waste another thought about it. But as time began to tick by once more, the man felt like someone had sprinkled fairy dust into his eyes, because with each day he was able to spend in the presence of that friend, he realized that he was longing to hear his voice whenever they were apart, that he was longing to steal a kiss from tempting lips that curved elegantly around words and laughter. The man hadn't seen it at first, but oh it was so painfully clear after a while, that God had sent him his own personal angel to set him free from his every day routine. And the man only had three words left to say that felt like someone had burned them into his tongue: I love you."
The story has been one of my favorite moments since it left your lips. While recalling our past experiences is a lovely hobby, looking to the future is a necessity and darling, there are only two words I want to say to you right now:
"I do."
