Jongin was leaning against the bar and scanning the dance floor when his eyes landed on a tall man making his way through the room, obviously heading towards the bar. He stood up, getting ready to serve yet another customer. His co-worker had disappeared somewhere back to probably fetch fresh bottles or more ice, so Jongin was the only one left behind the counter. He calculated he'd have time to bring his cocktail up to his lips once more before the stranger reached the bar. Jongin took a small sip of his drink before he hid it behind the counter so that anyone standing on the other side of the counter would not be able to see it. Even though he had kind of a it- attitude, he still didn't want everyone to know he was getting drunk while working. Not that it really was a secret either.
Jongin smirked at the male's drink order, having just made the same drink for himself. "Good taste," he commented without really thinking his words through before they left his lips. Jongin grabbed a high ball glass and mixed the ingredients into it after filling it halfway with ice. It was a simple drink to make and Jongin was so used to making it he was sure he'd nail it even in the middle of the night half-asleep. Placing the glass on the counter and plopping a lemon slice on top of the ice cubes, Jongin took a moment to eye the tall male up and down. He was taller than Jongin and looked around the same age, but seemed a lot sharper and overall just... kept together, unlike Jongin.
Vodka soda was one of those drinks people didn't order when they came out to have a good time. It was no tequila sunrise or Long Island Ice Tea. Jongin had been a bartender long enough to know what kind of people ordered a vodka soda. Depressed people. Sad people. Frustrated people. You know, people like Jongin. A lazy grin tugged at the corners of his lips as he leaned over the counter, eyes glued on the handsome stranger across from him. "Rough day?" Jongin's voice was casual yet somehow amused, not really trying to pry but more like making an observation.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. "You have an amazing night sir." Chanyeol said to his taxi driver, handing a hefty single bill, one that was enough to cover his trip twice and then some. Stretching a huge grin across his lips, he then opened the vehicle door and slid himself out, shutting the car door behind him with one easy swing of his arm. Walking over the street's curb, he made a beeline right for the local establishment in front of him; a classy looking bar and lounge club. He couldn't wait to order shot after shot, glass after glass. After the 'family dinner' he had just attended, Chanyeol needed to get wasted in order to make something good of his ty and bitter mood.
Pushing on one of the double doors, he was met with resistance and blockage, until he realized that he had stupidly missed the vertical chrome bar on the sleek, clean glass pane of the door. Pull, not push, and with that right use of force, he was inside. The music of the club really reaching his ears now, Chanyeol bopped his head in a subtle manner, recognizing that the current jam being played was the remixed saxophone part of Redfoo's New Thang. Pulling out his wallet from the back pocket of his dress pants, he showed the bouncers his ID, before starting to make his way through the interior, his eyes scanning the scene to locate the bar. He found it, his legs already moving at the sight of all the lined up alcoholic bottles on shelves. During the way, his eyes made split-second eye contact with numerous girls, and surprisingly even a few guys. Always enjoying the attention of being checked out, Chanyeol smirked to himself. Although it was quite flattering for the strangers to gaze at him in such a way, lust wasn't what he wanted nor needed tonight. "A vodka soda on the rocks." He drawled out to the nearest bartender, as soon as he reached the counter.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁴⁰⁸jiyong k. Jongin couldn't help but feel a small twist of disappointment in the pit of his stomach when he turned back to Jiyong again, seeing the other male about to get up and leave. He had enjoyed their little banter while it lasted - it had been refreshing to say the least. His eyes landed on the card that was placed on the counter in front of him, reaching to pick it up and observing it curiously. A cafe ? Why would he give him a-- oh. Jongin's eyes moved down to the contact information - section and it had Jiyong's name and number written on it. A small smile tugged at the corners of his lips but he managed to hide it, looking up as he slipped the card into his pocket. "Wouldn't mind if you did," he muttered back mischievously, leaning against the counter with his arms folded. "Nice meeting you too, Jiyong." Jongin watched the other disappear into the stairs, not even realizing he had been smiling the whole time before his coworker nudged him violently, smacking the back if his head. Jongin laughed and lifted his arms up in defeat, mumbling an amused "okay, okay!" As he made his way to get a tray and a clean kitchen towel and disappeared into the crowd.
The rush of excitement that had made him feel even more lightheaded than he actually was, was dying down now that he was alone again, and Jongin realized how tired he actually was.
"that wasn't the only thing I got to check out."
Jiyong's words from earlier rang in his ears and Jongin had to bite his lip to hold back a grin. If he wasn't a fan of the older male before he most definitely was now after their little encounter. Jongin spent fifteen minutes or so hastily making sure the area was somewhat clean before taking the glasses and other dishes to the back for someone else to deal with. He was more than ready to go home and crash in his bed. He rolled up the sleeves of his white button up, pouring himself a shot of vodka and downing it before he headed out.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. The glances shot his way did not go unnoticed by Jiyong. He had a trained eye for that sort of thing. It was something more or less he picked up from his childhood that grew over time. He didn't mind it. If anything, he liked catching people's attention. Looking thoughtfully at his cocktail, he hummed quietly.
"I saw a flyer to this place after my job..." He mumbled, resting his chin in his hand. "So I thought I'd check it out... and in the end, that wasn't the only thing I got to check out."
Laughing through his nose, his eyes flitted up to Jongin. He too thought what he said was pretty cheesy but it was fun, nonetheless. He was about to tease more but an unfamiliar voice called for Kai. It was humorous, watching the coworker's exchange. A smirk teased at his lips as he pushed back his chair and stood. "Well, it was nice meeting you Kai. I won't keep you."
Pulling a business card from his pocket, labeling his coffee shop "Satori", he placed it on the counter, sliding it in Kai's direction. Lifting his glass, he downed the liquid-- despite the sirens in his head screaming at him to take it slow-- before placing it back down. With a wave he made his way out of the bar.
Wait, how did he get back to his apartment from this side of town again?
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁹ chanyeol p. It was a regular Monday night; the club looked very desolated as the lonely neon lights circled around the empty space, only a few people here and there enjoying the music or sipping cocktails. It was probably going to be like this for the rest of the night as most people, normal people, were sound asleep in their beds gathering energy to wake up early tomorrow and go to work or school. Jongin wasn't one of those "normal people". The tall male dressed in light stone washed jeans and a white button was leaning against the counter with his arms folded, tapping on the black surface with his fingertips along to the rhythm of the song that was currently playing over the speakers. It was one of the many remix versions of Redfoo's 'new thang', Jongin knew. He knew most of the songs anyway, having spent almost all of his nights lately at work.
Nights like these were his favorite, for very obvious reasons. He could casually chat with his coworkers and practice new tricks, or just chill and browse through social media and news while sipping a Tom Collins or a Long Island Ice tea. Jongin wasn't very talkative but Kai had learned the basics of small talk and casual flirting to keep the customers glued on their seats, intrigued enough to not to leave before their third drink and a fat tip on Jongin's hand. These nights were perfect for that. There wasn't any rush so he could take his time, smiling mysteriously at the strangers under the flashing neon lights while leaning over the counter and pretending like he cared, making them feel like there were no other people in the room besides the two of them - making them feel special, less lonely, or whatever it was they were looking for. Jongin, well, Kai, knew how to offer that. His audience was almost always tipsy so it was the easiest audience out there, really. Especially the girls were such an easy target. On nights like these Jongin earned his best tips.
Jongin stood up and reached for the high ball glass that he had filled with gin and tonic water and topped off with a few slices of lime. He took a sip as his eyes scanned the dance floor. It was already two am, and Jongin still had a few hours of work left. If he was lucky, the rest of the night would pass by as smoothly as the first six hours of his shift, the boy pretty much just pretending like he was making himself useful behind the bar. Jongin took another sip of his gin tonic. He wasn't drunk by any means, but he could feel the familiar buzz on the back of his head, making him relax and helping him to feel more at ease around the customers. There was no way in hell Jongin was capable of customer service like this while sober.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁴⁰⁸jiyong k. Jongin watched as Jiyong raised the glass to his lips and took a sip. He had made that cocktail about three thousand times and he knew the way he made it (with extra lemon and a splash of peach gin) was pretty damn delicious – he had gotten a lot of compliments for it – but this time he was staring at the DJ in front of him carefully, trying to examine his face and spot any faint flashes of emotion. When the older male seemingly relaxed and seemed to enjoy the drink - after getting over the fact that the drink was pretty strong, that is – the anxious puppy eye look Jongin had on his face quickly got wiped away and was replaced with his signature smirk he - well, Kai - had mastered. “I know,” the dark-haired male muttered smugly with a hint of amusement glistening in his dark eyes as he looked straight back into Jiyong’s eyes, lowering his gaze with a soft chuckle only when he saw the other wink at him. No, he wasn’t sold. But impressed? Yes. Apparently Jongin wasn’t the only one who had mastered the art of casual flirting with the customers; in the end, they both had very familiar job descriptions; Jiyong made music and flirted with his fans, Jongin prepared cocktails and flirted with his customers. The tall male was way too familiar with the concept himself to miss it. Jiyong was pretty good at it too, he observed.
Now that he wasn’t feeling humiliated and embarrassed Jongin took a moment to let his eyes take in the sight that was Jiyong in front of him. He looked exactly like Jongin had imagined him to look from up close, back when he had been on one of his gigs sipping his nth cocktail and dancing in the back row alone. Jiyong’s eyes were probably what had caught Jongin’s attention first, back outside when they had literally run into each other. Actually, he might have been even more attractive than what Jongin had pictured him to be. Jongin was pretty sure the atmosphere and their surroundings (along with the alcohol the boy had in his blood) had something to do with it too, the way Jiyong’s cat-like eyes glinted in the dim lighting oddly mesmerizing. Jongin swallowed. He was trying to be subtle, stealing glances of the older male when he was looking away or sipping his cocktail.
“So,” the bartender leaned against the counter nonchalantly as his fingers played with a shaker tin, tossing it repeatedly into the air and catching it as it came down. “What brings you here?” Jongin knew it wasn’t really his business, but they didn’t usually get artists here. Or other “well-known” people. This wasn’t The Answer or Ellui or any other big name club in Gangnam. So Jongin really was just genuinely curious as to how had Jiyong ended up here in the dead of the night. On a weekday.
Jongin glanced over his shoulder when he heard someone yell his name, a small smile flashing across his face. “Kai, 30 minutes! Stop flirting around,” his coworker had called loudly while balancing a basket of vodka bottles on his shoulder, earning a nod and a breathy laugh from him in return, Jongin tossing a kitchen towel at the other. He was the last person to leave home before the closing time, so it was his job to do one final round around the club and gather all the empty glasses so the close down would go smoothly.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. "Uh, no I'm not particularly tired but I think the darkness of my room would be best for this killer headache." Jaewon muttered with a small chuckle, rubbing his temples as the doors to the elevator opened to their floor. He followed the taller male to their apartment, slipping his shoes off when he had stepped into the dark living room area and setting them to the side neatly. The boy undid his belt, pulling the leather strap from around his waist and draping it over his shoulder as he walked to the kitchen. He was thirsty and needed something to combat the dry feeling in his throat thanks to the numerous shots of vodka he had taken earlier that night.
Head popping in and out of the fridge as he grabbed a bottle of water, he gave Jongin a small grin as he walked past the other on his way to his bedroom. "Just let me know when you're done. I'm going to be...uh... chillin'." He said with a shrug of his shoulders, chuckling as he nudged his semi-closed door open with his foot. Upon walking into his sanctuary, Jaewon stripped himself of his shirt and tossed it into the small pile of dirty clothes he had been accumulating since moving in. He really did need to get a basket and do his laundry.
Jaewon walked over to the closet where he had kept one box for his socks, looking for the weed he had kept there. He could feel the little plastic bag of already rolled joints -thanks to his friend- and pulled it out with a satisfied grin on his face. His lighter, where did he put that? Jaewon searched around his room, finally finding one and sitting down by the now open window. "Okay..." The boy muttered softly around the joint between his lips as he lit the end up, taking a deep inhale and slowly exhaling the smoke out into the night air.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. Rolling his eyes once more at the other's remark, he reached out for his cocktail with a smirk. When he found it was no longer in his grasping range, he gaped up at Jongin, shocked. His eyes followed the lifting of the younger's adam's apple as he swallowed. A pout made its way to his lips as he huffed. "Hey, I paid for that." He whined. Did it really matter though? It wasn't all that expensive. He reached over the counter, grabbing playfully at Jongin's coat.
"Come on give it-" He gasped, eyeing the other in disbelief as he took another sip of his drink. Plopping back in his seat, he held his stomach loosely as he began to laugh in good humor. "You're unbelievable." He chimed, his mouth curling into a teasing smile. The light buzz of the alcohol he consumed was reaching his head. Like his was floating. Leaning back forward, he rested his elbows back on the counter, supporting his chin in his hands.
The other was alluring, Jiyong observed. He carried himself with a sort of grace that kept his attention. Before, Jiyong didn't think too much of the bartender. Sure, he was attractive at first glance, but there was something else. Jiyong's interest was piqued to say the least. Nodding his head to the beat of the music, he watched Jongin's show with a raised eyebrow, a small smile gracing his thin lips. At first, he was enamored by the various tricks, but as the little "show" progressed, he found his eyes wandering.
his lips with a smirk, he leaned back against his chair, crossing his arms. His eyes lingered on Jongin for a moment longer before flitting down to the drink in front of him. Laughing through his nose, he reached out and took the drink. He gazed at the liquid curiously, unsure of what it was. He spared one more glance Jongin's way before taking a now-or-never sip of his beverage. The sting was immediate to his unsuspecting throat. He never could get used to the feeling of alcohol. His lips curled back into a grimace, shaking his head to ease the sting. Now that the initial flow of alcohol had been consumed, the mixture of flavors made themselves present. It was flavorful. Savory even.
"Wow, Kai," He rolled his hand in his hand, gazing at the beautiful color the beverage gave off in the dim light. "You really outdid yourself with this one. Thanks." His eyes moved up ever so slightly to meet Jongin's, his smirk growing wider. Shooting the younger a wink, he focused back on his drink, taking another sip.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. “I’m wild like that,” Jongin repeated with a soft laugh as he followed Jaewon into a taxi, getting in and fastening his seat belt. Jaewon was right, now that Jongin thought about it. Before the boy had arrived and they’ve downed, what, 7 shots in a row in a very short amount of time, Jongin had gone through two cocktails by himself. He had totally forgotten that. Drinking at work was quite normal to him and he didn’t really pay attention to it anymore. As ed up as he was he still knew his limits though and never crossed them if he was working, but nevertheless the boy could always be seen a drink in his hand when working behind the counter. Not that he was the only one because he definitely wasn't. He gave the driver their address while he waited for Jaewon to hop in, relaxing then back against the seat and watched the city lights flash past them.
Jongin crossed his legs and placed his hands in his lap. Fortunately his khakis didn't feel quite that tight and uncomfortable anymore, but Jongin didn't want to take any risks. "Oh, no, it's just my new perfume. Eau De Vodka." Jongin turned to look at the boy sitting next to him on the backseat, staring at the other silently for a few seconds before he burst out laughing, tilting his head back. He heard the taxi driver snort and glance at him through the mirror. "But yes, sure, I'll shower first," he muttered then. the small grin he had on his face fading out. Jongin concentrated on the buildings they were driving past by for the rest of the ride, trying to ignore the dizziness that was taking over him and opening and window to get some fresh air.
Once reaching their destination the male paid for the ride and got out, mumbling a faint "thanks" to the older man on the front seat. He waited for Jaewon before walking inside, heading straight to the elevator. "You tired yet? Are you going to go to bed or?" Jongin gave Jaewon a questioning look as he pressed the elevator to go up to the 5th floor, blinking slowly and letting his gaze linger on the shorter male. He didn't mind if Jaewon wanted to go to bed, he'd had a way longer day than Jongin, after all. Jongin should have probably headed to bed, as well. Walking out of the elevator Jongin patted his pockets to make sure his keys were there, unlocking the door and letting Jaewon in first, following right behind him and slamming the door shut behind the two of them. Jongin kicked off his shoes while ing his dark blue button up, the denim sticking to his torso from the back and his chest. He really did need a shower.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. "No, I'm good." Jaewon assured the other with a wave of his hand. The boy had more than enough to drink tonight and knew that any more alcohol in his system could be disastrous later on. He'd probably say or do something he shouldn't and Jaewon couldn't take that risk. It was better to just sit twiddling his thumbs and wait for Jongin to be ready to go. At least this would give his time to go away. Walking with a hard on wasn't very ideal anyway so in reality, he should be thankful that the taller male had decided to get a drink. It possibly saved the boy from embarrassment and further awkwardness that could arise between the two roommates. Yes, this was definitely a good thing after all.
Thankfully Jongin's friend behind the bar had started up a small conversation with the other male and took the attention off of Jaewon for a while as he wiggled in his seat trying to adjust the problem in his pants. He would have thought what were the odds someone else was getting a lap dance but really, who would let the opportunity pass when such a y song was playing in a club? Jaewon felt a smile tug at the corners of his lips as he gave Jongin a knowing look, they had done the same and hadn't been noticed. As soon as Jongin had gotten his cocktail, he was getting to work drinking it and finished it relatively quickly. By his time, Jaewon was set to go. The hard on he had been sporting had finally went down and he was ready to leave. Once again, he shook his head at the offer of a drink but this time gave a laugh as Jongin cracked a joke.
They got up and left the bar area, Jjaewon taking the roll as the more sober friend and guiding them out of the club and into the slightly chilly night. "Well," the boy started as he waved his free hand in the air trying to get a cab to stop, his other arm wrapped around Jongin's waist to hold the male up. "when I got there, you and I had about seven or eight vodka shots. I don't know if you drank before that either but I'm going to guess that you probably did since you're wild like that." He teased, grinning as he finally got one of the cab drivers' attention and the small yellow car stopped. Jaewon guided his friend to the vehicle, opening the door and having him sit inside as he gave the address to the apartment building and slid in after. "You want to shower first? You smell like booze." He commented, leaning against the male tiredly as they rode home. Jaewon didn't mind if Jongin went to wash first, he'd probably just smoke some weed when they got home anyway. It had been on his mind and he really did want to try that Blue Dream hybrid he was given. If he ended up liking it, he'd definitely give Jongin a hit.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. Jongin wanted to turn around and disappear into the sea of people and maybe never ever show his face in front of his friend again. He had no way to explain himself, talking about it would have made the situation even worse. How he wished that he could have just explained that it had nothing to do with Jaewon, that it was because he was drunk and in a desperate need of some kind of physical contact and he would have probably get only by watching someone else get a lap dance. Jongin swallowed and closed his eyes for a brief moment, exhaling slowly. The best way to deal with this was probably just following Jaewon back to the bar and acting cool. They were both boys, after all. He’d understand.
Jongin sat on a stool next to Jaewon, glancing at the boy with a confused look. His cheeks and neck felt still burning hot but Jongin managed to put on a straight face. “You’re not gonna take anything?” Jongin knew he probably shouldn’t have ordered anything either but after what had just happened on the dance floor he definitely needed a drink. He ordered a gin tonic, craving for something simple and refreshing. Jongin handed his card to his friend behind the counter and faked a laugh as he, while preparing his drink order, cheerfully went on about how he had seen this girl giving a lap dance to a boy just a while ago when ‘Earned it’ was playing. Jongin glanced at Jaewon and couldn’t help but give the other a small amused grin at the irony. He let his gaze drop back down quickly when he got his drink, mixing it with a straw and then bringing the glass up to his lips. He was going to finish this drink fast and then they were getting out of here. There was still a small part of Jongin that hoped that Jaewon hadn’t felt anything back there on the dance floor when Jongin walked into him. It was possible, there was still a chance for that. A slim chance, but a chance nevertheless. So he decided to brush it off and act like he always did around the boy.
Jongin didn’t take too long to finish his cocktail. He held the glass up for Jaewon, gesturing the shorter male to even try and taste the cocktail, making a small joke about how his mouth must have been feeling dry after the lap dance Jongin had just given him. He threw back the rest of the drink and placed the glass down with a somewhat loud thud. He nodded towards the exit and got up, waving his hand in the air briefly at his coworkers as a goodbye. Jongin needed a cold shower. Preferably a cold shower and a . Well, a boy could always dream, right? He was surprised to realize that he was having some difficulties walking straight, having to grab the walls and the boy beside him for support. “At what point…did we even drink… this much?” He mumbled in confusion as they got out into the fresh air, letting out a deep sigh.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. "Drinks and then home." Jaewon agreed. Honestly he would agree to anything as long as it got the attention away from him, he didn't want to have the other see the current state of his groin area. After Jongin had gotten up from his position on the boy's lap, Jaewon straightened out his shirt and made sure that the hem came down to cover the crotch of his pants that was currently sporting a bulge. Damn vodka shots. Damn lap dance. He sighed softly as he took the lead to the bar. He knew that drinking any more alcohol would probably put him in a worse situation than he already was. If his body was betraying him like this, his mind would soon give in as well. Jaewon really didn't think that he should be having anything else tonight.
He should just sit and watch Jongin drink. Maybe that was what he would do instead. He'd say that he wasn't feeling well or that one of them should be somewhat coherent when they left the bar so that they could call a cab or something. Yeah, that was a good excuse. Jongin wouldn't possibly ask him anything more after that. He was so focused in his thoughts that he hadn't seen he walked straight into one of the clusters of people dancing, having Jongin who was behind him stumble and bump into his back. Jaewon felt something on his backside and the only explanation was that Jongin too was rocking a hard on. Well if anytiing, that made his mind sober up a lot quicker. He stood up straight as the taller male backed up just as soon as he had been pressed against Jaewon. The apology only confirmed what the shorter male had already known happened. He certainly didn't imagine it then.
"It's okay." Jaewon managed to get out, thankful that he was the one in front so that he didn't have to look at the male. His face was bright red and he didn't know what to do or say so the boy simply kept walking over to the bar, repeatedly telling himself it was fine. To not make a big deal out of it and to not let Jongin see how weird he was feeling now. "Uh, you go ahead and drink. I'm not feeling too hot." He said, rubbing the back of his neck as he found a seat at the bar and rested his free arm on the counter to support his throbbing head. Alcohol was not what he was craving anymore. He could wait until he got home to smoke some of that weed he'd left untouched since last bringing it up to the other male. Maybe that would help calm his nerves and get him through the rest of the night. Right now, he needed his mind to be cleared so that he didn't do anything else that would be reckless. Jaewon didn't want a repeat of last night. Not two nights back to back at least.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. Jaewon’s comment made the air around them clearly lighter. Jongin nodded and let his hands slide down to Jaewon’s chest. “Your card has been swiped,” he repeated and gently patted the other male’s chest. He let his eyes linger on Jaewon’s collarbones and the sweat glistening on them before he pushed himself to stand up. The taller one had to grab Jaewon’s shoulder for balance, feeling lightheaded now that he was standing up again and slowly coming back down from the high he had gotten lost in while dancing. “drinks and then home?” He suggested, grabbing his phone from the table and sliding it into his back pocket. Jongin was well aware of the fact that there was a clear bulge in his tight khaki pants but he figured that it was dark enough here so he was safe. Probably.
It would have been quite embarrassing having to deal with Jaewon noticing that he had gotten by the lap dance. Jongin knew exactly why his body was reacting like this though, and he also knew how to stop it. It’s not like he went around giving lap dances and just got every time. No. It had been, what, 3 months? since he had had any physical contact with anyone and his body was pretty much starting to be on the verge of losing it. So, needless to say, the last few days and all the skin ship and teasing lap dances were slowly driving Jongin crazy – physically and mentally. “Also, you’re very welcome. For… the experience, or whatever,” Jongin muttered as he waved his hand in the air dismissively. He swallowed thickly and nodded towards the bar, placing his hand on Jaewon’s lower back. “Let’s go. I need something strong.”
Jongin lead the shorter male towards the bar, slightly intimidated by the fact that thanks to the neon signs all over the walls and bar it was a lot brighter at that part of the club. Jongin was walking behind Jaewon through the crowd, careful not to get too close. But with Jongin’s luck, of course, someone bumped into him from behind, making the taller male stumble into Jaewon from behind. He quickly reacquired his balance and pulled his body away. . , , . There was no way Jaewon hadn’t felt his hard on against his unless the other male was just completely -faced at this point. Jongin felt his cheeks heat up, suddenly not so eager to move to the bar where it was bright and he’d have to look Jaewon straight into his eyes while trying to keep a straight face. “I’m sorry,” he muttered breathily into Jaewon’s ear from behind the boy, as a desperate attempt to somehow fix the situation.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. Jaewon's breath hitched at the sudden change of moment he had gotten used to from Jongin. A moan had threatened to escape from his lips but the boy caught himself before it could be heard. It came out as a soft choke instead. That was better than what it could have been. Jaewon was out of it but he still knew that this was his friend. This was Jongin on top of him. Even though his body was giving in to everything that was happening, his mind was putting up a fight with rationality and pleasure. His eyes began to open as he recognized the ending of the song, Jongin's movements becoming less and less intense as the song faded out into nothing and a new song replaced the air around them. He could ear his heartbeat in his ears, his body felt like it was on fire. Everything in him was saying that he should continue this but his mind kept screaming at him to stop and not give in to all the thoughts that had seeped into his head about the other.
The two boys stared at each other for a good while before Jongin broke the silence and eye contact. Jaewon hadn't been able to say or do anything the whole time. Even after the male had spoke up, he had to swallow the lump in his throat that had formed while he tried to control himself during the lap dance. "...I guess my card has been swiped." He finally said, feeling himself come back out of those cloudy lustful thoughts that had invaded his mind and taken over his better judgement. No, he couldn't think that way about his friend. That wasn't right. They had just gotten over last night's awkwardness and Jaewon was thinking about Jongin in way that friends shouldn't be thinking of their friends. What in the world was wrong with him? He decided to blame the vodka. He had to tell himself that he would not be thinking this way if he wasn't drunk. That was the only way he could live with himself at the moment.
"Um, thanks for the experience. I'm honored to have the privilege of getting one from a seasoned lap dancer such as yourself." He joked, lightly rubbing the male's sides since Jongin was still seated upon his lap. He didn't want to remove them hastily and make things seem weird so instead he let them casually find their way off of Jongin and on his own thighs. Jaewon looked over at the crowd of people they had left behind then back at the taller male, giving him a small grin. "Wanna go back out there or do you want to get out of here?" He finally asked, trying to find a way out of this situation as he came room realize there was something shameful going on inside of his pants. He just hoped Jongin didn't notice. That would be so humiliating and bring them back to square one of the awkward phase they had finally gotten out of tonight.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. Jongin slid his hands from the chair to grip at the front of Jaewon’s shirt, sitting down again on his thighs while he moved his hips around in slow circles, making sure to press his hips down harder every now and then just to tease the boy under him by creating friction between their bodies. Jongin placed one hand behind him on Jaewon’s knee to support himself, his back arching as his movements slowly become stronger and slower, the boy putting more and more thought into every roll of his hips, making sure his body was just barely brushing against Jaewon’s. If he hadn’t been so in lost in the song and concentrated on the dance so hard he would have probably been on the verge of losing it. Jaewon’s hands on Jongin’s hips felt burning hot and sent a jolt of electricity through his body, but he couldn’t really explain why.
He wondered what was going through the mind of his friend who had now closed his eyes. Jongin swallowed thickly, letting his own eyes fall close as well and giving in to the temptation to actually press his hips down against Jaewon’s, slowly rolling his hips forward, shamelessly. Maybe Jaewon wouldn’t notice the difference, or maybe he did, either way Jongin couldn’t help himself. He tilted his head down, lips parting into a small sigh. No. Jongin reluctantly gathered himself, forcing himself to open his eyes and fighting back the urge to grind against Jaewon like that again. And again.
He stood up and let his other hand rest on Jaewon’s shoulder, leaning his body slightly to the right as he rolled his hips forward and then let his body follow the beat, moving from right to the left. As the song was coming to an end, Jongin slowly sat back down, arms wrapping around Jaewon’s neck and resting on his shoulders lazily, movements slowly dying down as he music faded out. He was panting and his heart was racing in his chest – but Jongin was used to dancing for hours and hours straight so it wasn’t the exercise his body was reacting to. He stayed quiet, pulling away just slightly so he could look at the other boy. For a short moment -that felt like an eternity- of just silently staring at Jaewon into his eyes with an expression hard to read, Jongin snapped out of it. He ran his fingers through his hair and then rubbed the back of his neck, having to look away with a low chuckle. “So…”
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. Confused for a second, Jaewon got up from the booth and sat in the chair at the table Jongin lead him to. It took him a momemt to put two and two together as the taller male went on his phone and the song changed to the familiar beat of one of his more favorite soundtracks. He couldn't help but bust out into laughter at how clever Jongin was at picking this particular song. "Nice, real nice." The boy chuckled, a smile lingering on his face as he watched the other make back away and slowly get into the flow of the beat. Jaewon raised a brow with a grin, seeing the switch in Jongin's demeanor as the male approached him slowly. This would definitely be something he'd remember -to the best of his drunken abilities that is.
Of course Jongin's dance was much more effortless and natural than Jaewon's had been. Give him credit though, it had been the first time he had ever done anything like it and he wasn't a dancer by any means. Not like Jongin was. The taller male seemed to easily become one with whatever song that played. This particular dance was luring Jaewon in dangerous territory but the boy had not yet realized it. He was unaware of how his eyes were fixated on Jongin's body, how he moved with ease like it was nothing at all. His neck bent upward, looking into Jongin's eyes and didn't shift them anywhere else after he had seen something in them he hadn't seen before.
Jaewon his lower lip in, biting down on it harshly as he felt Jongin's hips move against his own in a teasing manner. The boy tried raising his hips to get more of the friction but Jongin kept pulling away just before their bodies could meet. Yes, Jaewon knew that Jongin had done this before but he really didn't expect the other to be this good at what he was doing. He could feel his heart pounding against his chest thanks to both the vodka and Jongin's seductive dancing on top of him. Jaewon slumped in his chair just slightly, hands now resting on Jongin's hips as he took in the intoxicating scent coming from the other boy. His eyelids felt heavy so he closed them and he was so glad that he did because everything had become heightened. The feeling of Jongin's hips grinding down on him, the sweet aroma of the other, the warmth spreading throughout his body, how the bass in the song vibrated through his being. It was the best feeling in the world and he knew that sooner or later it would be over but for now, he was going to enjoy every second of it.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. Jongin shook his head when he saw Jaewon make his way to sit down into one of the booths, grabbing his wrist again and nodding towards the small round table and four simple chairs around it, that were next to the booth. “Here.” He seated his friend down on one of the chairs, all the while hastily typing in a text message with his phone. There weren’t many people in this very corner of the club. Good. Jongin didn’t mind if someone saw, of course he didn’t, but he didn’t want to have an audience, either. He pressed 'send' on his phone, tossing the phone carelessly on the table. It shouldn’t take long until the song would change now, the DJ having promised to Jongin that upon receiving the text he would as soon as possible transition to the song. Jongin let out a small breathy chuckle, giving Jaewon a small playful grin as he was pretty sure he had caught up with the situation by now. Or if he hadn’t, he must have been really drunk. Jongin took few steps backward, never breaking their eye contact. He made sure his shirt was tucked in his black khakis, patting around his waist and straightening his button up shirt.
The hip hop beat that had been playing faded out and was replaced by the slow, sultry intro of The Weeknd's 'Earned it'. Jongin kept his eyes glued on Jaewon’s, not wanting to miss his reaction when the boy realized what song he had picked for the lap dance. Of course he had to go with the song after all the Mr. Grey jokes they had been throwing around and at each other. Jongin wiped the smile off his face, giving his full attention to the song instead. Closing his eyes, the boy rolled his body along to the beat of the music, fingers sliding through his hair before he opened his eyes to look at Jaewon. Jongin had danced jazz and contemporary dance since he was six, so dancing to a slow, strong beat like this was actually a lot easier for him than dancing to any of the EDM beats he usually used to dance to when he was working. The moves just came out naturally for him when it came to songs like these.
Jongin made his way slowly towards Jaewon, hips moving from left to right sensually. He ran a hand across his torso, biting on his lip as he fumbled with one of the buttons of his shirt, getting it open and exposing another stripe of his skin. He stopped in front of Jaewon just before the first chorus was about to start, hovering over the boy, his legs on the both sides of the chair. He reached down to grab a fistful of Jaewon’s t-shirt, pulling on it just slightly so that Jaewon had to look up at him as he slowly sat down. Jongin’s free hand was resting on the backrest of the metal chair. He slid it down to Jaewon’s chest before his both hands moved to grab at the metal behind Jaewon’s head.
Never breaking the eye contact, the boy slowly rolled his body forward against Jaewon’s, making sure to press his hips down against Jaewon’s, strong enough for the boy to feel the touch but light enough to leave Jaewon wanting more. He repeated this once more before he stood up again, still straddling the boy as he moved his hips along to the beat from side to side. Jongin brought one hand to Jaewon’s shoulder and traced a finger up his neck and then along his jawline, tilting his chin up. His eyes were a tad bit darker than they usually were and the smug, teasing smile on his lips was something he bet Jaewon had never seen before - the usual playfulness in his eyes long gone.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. Goosebumps formed along Jaewon's skin as he felt every breath Jongin exhaled, the scent of the other as strong as ever. He didn't know when it happened but he could feel Jongin's cool fingers on his hot skin, having the boy his lips and swallow a lump in his throat. His body didn't protest but instead moved closer to the touch it was given, obliging with Jongin's tugging of his belt so that their bodies were pressed fully against each other. They were grinding hard against one another, Jaewon allowing himself the simple pleasures in life as he closed his eyes and let his body do what it wanted to do against Jongin's own. The taller was the first to pull away, Jaewon's eyes opening in confusion as to what was going on.
His eyes moved to where Jongin was looking, focusing in on a booth and before he could ask a question, he was being lead over to the corner of the bar. They made their way through the crowd, Jaewon stumbling every now and then since he wasn't really paying attention to where he was going. All he knew was that he had to follow right behind Jongin to get to wherever they were going. Anything that got in his way shouldn't be there. They made it off the dance floor and the boy got his wrist free, wiping the sides of his face with his forearm as he went to take a seat at the booth. It was hot and all he wanted to do was take off the damn shirt he was wearing now that it had stuck to his chest.
Fanning himself, he looked over at his friend and cocked his head to the side. "Taking a breather?" He asked, not registering the fact that it could possibly be the time for the male to give him a lap dance. Hanging around Jongin so much had him think that the reason the other had pulled him out of the sea of dancers was because they were going to do more shots. Jaewon knew that he couldn't take more without getting blackout drunk but he was ready to get faced with his friend if that's what the other wanted to do. Hell, they were halfway there anyway. Might as well go all out. Jaewon ran his fingers through his hair, getting the few strands that had fallen out of place out of his eyes.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. Jongin felt a wave of heat wash over his body, the music getting louder in his ears. It was the alcohol doing its magic inside his veins, Jongin knew. He was not going to fight back, surrendering himself to the feeling, a small lazy smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he felt the euphoria spread throughout his entire body. He pressed his body harder against Jaewon’s, not that there was any space left between the two males to begin with, the hand he’d had on the nape of Jaewon’s neck now sliding down to the side of the boy’s neck, thumb gently grazing against Jaewon's jawline. Jongin let his forehead rest against Jaewon’s as the beat of the song got stronger, slower. The taller one of the two knew he was entering Jaewon’s personal space here but as long as Jaewon wasn’t pushing him away he couldn’t bring himself to care that much about it. And judging by the way the other male was gripping onto his denim shirt he didn’t care, either.
“Shut up,” Jongin breathed out, not bothering to open his eyes. “You’ll look good either way.” He wasn’t sure if Jaewon was even hearing his words, the music around them so loud it was hard to even for Jongin to hear the words spilling from between his lips. Jongin didn’t register his own actions through the haze he was in as his hand tugged the hem of Jaewon’s shirt up and slipped under the fabric, fingers brushing the smooth skin of his lower stomach ever so lightly before curling around the other male’s belt, tugging at his hips more against his. He stayed close to the male like that for a while; one hand desperately trying to bring Jaewon’s hips closer to his, the other resting on his neck, until his alcohol infused brain caught up with his actions and Jongin opened his eyes, realizing there was a dangerously small space between the two boys.
Jongin lazily pulled his head back up and glanced around them for an empty table. His eyes spotted a table to the right from the DJ booth, in the very corner of the bar. Grabbing his friend’s wrist, Jongin his heels and started leading Jaewon towards the table, deciding that now if ever was the perfect time to give the boy the lap dance he had promised. Before he would be too drunk to function.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. Jaewon snickered softly, raising a brow at Jongin with a grin on his face. "Okay, calm down there. You're really starting to sound like Mr. Jongin Grey again." He muttered, letting out an airy chuckle at how the male was trying to be seductive. If anyone else had done it, Jaewon would have fallen for it but Jongin was just so full of games and he knew the other too well to take it seriously. He wasn't that hammered yet to not be able to tell where the line of playful friendship ended and ual tension started so he wasn't taking anything the other was doing seriously. They were just dancing. That was innocent enough, no need to make a big deal about it.
Jaewon could feel how Jongin's hips had begun moving more sensually against his own and he didn't want to be shown up. He followed suit, rolling his hips against the taller male's own a little harder than what he had previously been doing as his fingers tugged Jongin by this shirt, grasping the denim material tightly as he pulled the male closer so that there didn't seem to be any space between their bodies. The alcohol was making its course through his system and out of nowhere hit Jaewon like a ton of bricks. He should have slowed down with the shots but instead he had taken them almost back to back. He had probably taken six or seven in under an hour of being at the club and he was starting to feel the effects of it.
His senses were hightened, he felt like he could hear every little noise along with the booming music overhead. He could make out every small detail of Jongin's form in front of him, taking notice of the small beads of sweat running down the boys now exposed chest. Jaewon hadn't been this drunk this fast since he was a kid and honestly, he kind of liked the feeling. His head fell back slightly as his hair was pulled, looking up at Jongin with a lazy smile on his face. "You're saying my hair looks good but now you're messing it up.." The shorter managed to slur out, wrapping one arm loosely around Jongin's shoulder to support himself. "I won't look good anymore."
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁴⁰⁸jiyong k. [Don't worry about it it's cool~]
Jongin pretended to be busy while organizing the shakers on the table between them. He had to constantly fight back the urge to steal another glance from the older male next to him, absently on his lower lip. He had to admit that he looked quite handsome in his black mask. Jongin chuckled breathily upon hearing Jiyong’s words, lifting his gaze to meet with Jiyong’s. He mirrored the other’s amused expression. “Pretend what didn’t happen?” he shot back and winked at the boy while drying his hands with a small kitchen towel he had resting on his other shoulder.
Jongin reached for his cocktail and took a generous sip out of it. He was well aware of the fact that they weren’t allowed to drink or smoke during their shifts but Jongin also didn’t give a . He stirred the drink with a straw and brought it up to his lips for another long sip. It’s not like their boss was much around anyway. The dark-haired male raised an eyebrow at Jiyong’s comment, trying to brush it off with a simple shrug of his shoulders. Jongin didn’t really know how to answer that. It came out naturally. If only Jiyong knew what he was really like. Law student, book nerd, wearing expensive sweaters and his thick hair slicked back to achieve that perfect top-notch teacher’s pet – look. It was quite the opposite of how Jongin looked right now, in his black slacks and white button up and messy hair falling onto his eyes. Hell, he had even patted some cushion foundation on his face.
Jongin grabbed a shaker tin and tossed it from one hand to another easily so that it made a small flip in the air, flashing Jiyong a small smile that was probably hard to even catch in the dark. “Yes, Kai, well read,” Jongin praised the DJ with a playful smile making its way to his lips. A long Island Ice Tea, he had decided, would probably be a good drink to prepare for the other. He grabbed a bottle of tequila and flipped it into the air before catching it and pouring some into the shaker. As always, he didn’t really bother to measure the liquors but rather just poured a good amount of everything into the shaker filled with ice. Boomerang, Double bottle toss, Flip over the shoulder –Jongin was pulling off all of his most impressive tricks almost perfectly as he prepared the cocktail for the older, the bottles flying up in the air and getting caught again by Jongin skillfully as they came down. He mouthed the lyrics to the song that was currently playing over the speakers every now and then, hips swaying from side to side along to the beat.
Jongin mixed the liquors in the shaker well before pouring the drink into a high ball glass, topping it off with some lemon juice and a splash of cola before he placed the glass in front of Jiyong on the table, leaning against the counter with his other hand. “Here you go, stranger. It’s on the house.” Jongin’s tone was playful, eyes glistening with amusement under the neon lights.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jaewon j. “No,” Jongin chuckled as he shook his head, glancing down at Jaewon’s fingers gripping at the thin fabric of his dark button up. Jongin leaned closer, lips brushing against Jaewon’s earlobe as he spoke. “I’m going to take you to the darkest corner of the club, tie you to a chair and give you one hell of a lap dance.” His voice was low but he was clearly joking, unable to hold back the small chuckle that escaped from his lips before he managed to pull away. Jongin moved his hips from side to side, making a big deal out of seductively brushing his thumb over his lower lip as he looked at Jaewon into his eyes.
Laughing at his own actions he stepped closer to Jaewon again and let the music take over him, starting to move his body from side to side in sync with Jaewon’s. He placed his both hands on Jaewon’s hips, absently fumbling with the hem of his shirt, fingers curling around the fabric and grazing at the skin under it. The scent of Jaewon’s perfume lingered around them, mixing into the smell of cigarettes and booze – the mixture oddly intoxicating. Jongin could feel every curve and muscle through Jaewon’s shirt in his fingertips as one of his hands slid up his torso to the back of Jaewon’s neck, the taller boy flashing a small grin to the other. Jongin was being bolder this time with his movements. He knew Jaewon well enough to know he wouldn’t mind, so Jongin decided not to hold back this time.
Jongin wanted to loosen up his body a little before he would give Jaewon – or anyone else – any lap dances. Also, he needed the shots to hit him properly. Jongin wasn’t particularly shy when it came to dancing, but he didn’t really want to be sober either. Everybody gave out better lap dances drunk anyway, right? Jongin reached up to open the top button of his shirt, running his fingers through his hair. He was already hot, but he was sure it was the alcohol in his system doing its job. He could feel his muscles relax and movements getting more relaxed, more sensual, as Jongin rolled his body against Jaewon’s slowly, fingertips sliding up the back of Jaewon's neck to tug at his dark locks.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. //Sorry, I got caught up in my work schedule for a bit there,,,
His vision blurred, looking down at the counter. It couldn't have been because of the alcohol. Not yet. His head was swimming, the lack of sleep finally catching up to him. A small, bitter smile tugged at his lips as he rubbed his tired eyes. Craning back his neck, he downed his drink. Sure, he knew drowning himself in alcohol wouldn't solve his problems but he also knew he stopped given a years ago. The rapping of fingers against the counter caught his attention and he looked up, surveying his surroundings. The bartender, who caught his eye for obvious reasons, had strayed closer.
Resting his elbow on the counter, he cupped his chin, gazing on at the show in amusement. He could tell the other was trying to be smooth, slipping in a conversation like skating on ice. Jiyong used this sort of technique enough to spot it with his own eyes. His eyes trailed along the curves of Jongin's biceps. He obviously spent a workout or two on those.
"Oh yeah?" He asked, his voice raising in pitch due to pure exhilaration. "And you're kind of ruining the whole, let's 'pretend this didn't happen'." he teased, rolling his finger along the rim of his glass.
He was purely amused, to say the least. He was also more or less distracted by the fact that this man was drinking while on the job. It was quite entertaining. "You're completely different now," He observed, looking back down at his glass. Jongin had truly become another person. It reminded him of himself, in a sense. How quickly he could change his personality given the situation. Pushing his glass to the side, he cupped both his cheeks, elbows resting on the table, he looked back towards Jongin. Should he ask for his name or-- wait. His eyes squinted, trying to adjust to the dim lighting of the bar. Just above Jongin's was a rectangular name-tag.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. Maybe it was a good thing that Hyuk was locked out. If he had been able to go inside he wasn't all too sure that he would have ben able to get as calm as he was right now. He still had to unpack and had planned on doing it when he got home from the club -seeing as though he worked nights and didn't have much else to do during the day but sleep anyway. If he had went into the apartment and gotten to work unpacking the boxes, he was sure to have thrown things around in a frenzy. Hyuk was almost positive his new roommate wouldn't appreciate that very much if he had come home to the man screaming and cursing, items flying around in his room. Speaking of his roommate, where was he? What was the guy doing that had him out so late into the night? At least it was summertime, the night breeze wasn't unbearable. It cooled his skin and the sounds of the city were oddly calming. Still, he would have liked to be able to listen to them from the comfort of his own bed. Yeah, that'd have been nice.
It was now two in the morning and Hyuk was still outside the apartment. Instead of standing against the wall or pacing around the hallway, he finally decided to just sit down in front of the door. Normally in this situation, a person would knock on a neighboring apartment door and ask to hang out there for a while but hell, it was already past midnight. People were surely already settled in their beds. If they weren't, what would he look like asking if he could step inside and wait for his roommate to come home? He'd probably have the police called on him if he knocked on he wrong door. No, Hyuk just had to wait and be patient. Time passed by so slowly, he could feel himself nodding off but he couldn't do that out here. That wasn't safe. To keep himself awake, the man pushed himself off he ground and began to jump up and down. If he kept moving, he wouldn't fall asleep. He had been doing this for quite some time when he heard the sound of footsteps and a voice coming up the stairs. Stopping what he was doing, Hyuk faced the stairway and hoped to God it was his roommate.
Of course luck wasn't on his side and none other than Jongin came up the last few steps clearly intoxicated. Hyuk held his breath, wondering if the other had seen him yet. If he managed to go unnoticed by Jongin, that would be ideal. Why was he here? Did he live in this building too? The thought of that being the only logical explanation had been solidified as he took note that the younger male was unaccompanied. Great. He chose the one apartment building Jongin just so happened to live in and to top it off, he decided to go after the male before knowing said fact. This was just peachy. His plan of avoiding Jonin for the rest of his life were being tarnished by karma. Hyuk let out a sharp exhale, unable to hold in his frustration. The sound echoed in the hallway, showing Hyuk just how loud he had been. The older male's eyes widened in surprise as he turned around quickly, not sure if he had been seen or not but he didn't dare look over his shoulder to check otherwise.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. A soft gasp left Jaewon, feigning surprise as his hand went up to cover his mouth. "No...you mean you actually bought more sweaters?! That was a choice you consciously made?!" He laughed, holding onto Jongin's wrist as he was pushed by the taller male. Soon enough, they were making their way onto the dance floor with all the other bodies scattered around the club. Jongin dismissed himself and went to the DJ booth, leaving the boy to have a few quick dances with any of the drunken dancers that had seen him just standing in the middle of the floor. He wasn't Gome too long though, Jaewon had looked up and there he was making his way through the crowd once more. The shorter felt his shirt being pulled, his body following in the same direction towards Jongin shortly after as he looked up at the other with a grin on his face. ", you can do anything here, huh?" He muttered to his friend, the space between them being so small that he didn't have to talk very loudly to be heard.
Jaewon moved in closer, beginning to dance along with the other to the song that was currently playing over the speakers. He could feel the bass in his chest, his body felt like it was vibrating and he could feel Jongin's doing the same thanks to their bodies being pressed against together every now and then when their hips met. This was only the second time in a while that Jaewon had danced with someone this closely. He also had only ever danced this close with girls so he wasn't sure what to do with his hands. Looking around at other pairs dancing, he figured he'd copy one of them and decided to place his hands on Jongin's chest so that they weren't just dangling at his sides. His hips moved side to side, fingers lightly gripping onto the fabric of Jongin's shirt as he danced against the male. The alcohol was working wonders on Jaewon's mind and body, his movements were fluid and comfortable. Just like last time, the beat was coming more naturally to him in this state as opposed to what it would have if he was sober. "Are you going to just catch me off guard with the lap dance?" He asked with a light chuckle, head tilting upward just barely so that he could see Jongin.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁴⁰⁹ jaewon j. "Shut up. Are not. I have new sweaters," He pushed at Jaewon gently but made sure to hold onto his arms so that he wouldn't actually fall from his chair. He placed one hand absently on top of Jaewon's on his knee, downing yet another shot and squeezing his eyes shut as he waited for the aftertaste to fade away. He was going to need all these shots if he was planning to give his friend the best lap dance he had ever had. And that's what he was going to do. Jongin was getting his v-card, after all, so better make it memorable. He listened to Jaewon quote every movie character ever created with the 'we are young, we are living our lives' crap, breaking then into a loud laughter, getting up from his chair. "Good idea. Come on, handsome. I'll make you forget all of your stress," he mumbled into Jaewon's ear after pulling the shorter boy close, guiding then him out towards the dance floor. Jongin walked right behind Jaewon, his both hands placed on his hips, leading the other to the middle of the dance floor. It wasn't nearly as full as it had been the last time. This time they actually had some space for themselves, though there still were a lot of people dancing around them. Jongin asked Jaewon to wait there, pointing at the DJ booth not too far away from them, gesturing that he was going to go there and then come back here. Jongin made his way to the front of the dance floor where the DJ was. He was a familiar face for Jongin - he had seen him plenty of times around the bar, made him drinks and chatted a few times, even. Jongin smiled to himself. This was good. Maybe he would be more willing to play the song for him now.
The taller one of the two came back a few minutes later, dancing his way through the crowd to Jaewon. He had gotten what he had wanted, but of course, he was not going to reveal that to Jaewon just yet. The only thing he had to do was just text the DJ when he was ready and he had promised to play the song for him. Jongin made a mental note to remember to buy him a drink the next time he saw him around the bar. Jongin flashed his friend a small smile, grabbing him by his shirt and pulling him closer. "All set," he told Jaewon with a playful wink, fingers still gripping onto Jaewon's tee as he started to move his hips along to the music, keeping his body close to his. The alcohol was starting to cloud his mind and Jongin could feel himself fully relax again and all the stress and problems he'd had slowly slipped his mind. Jongin closed his eyes his fingers tugging on Jaewon's shirt as a subtle gesture for the boy to come closer.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁴⁰⁸ hyuk k. Jongin just stood there staring at Hyuk in disbelief. If Jongin hadn’t been at work right now, he would have probably punched the other male as Jongin was not good at dealing with any negative emotions. But he didn’t want to get fired, he really liked this place. So, probably for the first time during their whole conversation, Jongin swallowed his pride and just stood there, glaring at the other male with his eyes narrowed. The moment of silence between them felt like an eternity. Jongin’s lips were pressed into a tight, straight line as he tried to process all the words Hyuk had just thrown at him, trying to think where to start from and how to answer. Apparently, he didn’t need to think of a good comeback as Hyuk had decided it was the end of their conversation and was now walking away from him. He watched as the other male disappeared into the sea of people. Jongin felt a weird sting in his chest as the fact that this was it, he was probably never going to run into the older male ever again, hit him. He wasn’t sad but he wasn’t relieved either. He didn’t really know what he was feeling anymore. The strongest emotion probably being regret.
Jongin blinked before angrily throwing the rag on the floor, sitting down and burying his face in his hands. “… ! ….” He kicked the leg of the table in frustration, sliding his fingers into his dark locks and tugging at them. What the had just happened? Why couldn’t he just say that one word so that they could both move on with their lives? Jongin had planned this for so long inside his head, the scenario of them meeting again. He knew exactly how he wanted to handle the situation but now that it had actually happened, against all odds, Jongin had completely frozen the moment Hyuk had looked him into the eyes for the first time. All the feelings, emotions and memories from two years ago, just coming rushing back to him. Along with the feeling of betrayal and jealousy. Jongin just couldn’t bring himself to say it, but instead had closed himself inside of his thick shell like he always did when he felt threatened.
The rest of the night passed by fast. Jongin felt like there was a thick fog surrounding him, making everything hazy and surreal. It was probably just the alcohol, though. He wasn’t sure how many vodka shots he secretly took behind the counter every time his boss wasn’t looking, but Jongin was pretty -faced when the end of his shift finally arrived and he was free to leave home. It was 2 am and the boy wasn’t even sure what his surname was as he stumbled out from the club and hopped into a taxi, drunkenly mumbling his address to the driver. Jongin was determined to drink until he was sure he was not going to remember anything about this evening. That was the easiest way. To just forget and move on for good. He was pretty sure that’s exactly what Hyuk wanted as well so he didn’t have to worry about running into him – he was definitely not coming around anymore.
Jongin stumbled onto the street from the taxi after paying for his ride. His hair was messy and Jongin reached up to mess the dark locks, even more, rubbing his forehead. “ you,” he mumbled to himself as he made his way to the door and into the staircase. “ you…so…hard,” he sighed, dragging his body up the stairs. He took a gulp out of the Jack Daniels bottle he had stolen – yes, stolen – from his work, singing to Ed Sheeran’s Shape of you as he made his way to the 5th floor, too drunk to realize he could have just used the elevator.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. "So like any other night we hang out except with dancing." Jaewon laughed, taking another shot as well. He hadn't drank as many as Jongin -yet- but he was drinking them a lot closer together and was quickly starting to feel a headache coming on. Another soft chuckle escaped the boy, shrugging his shoulders. "Not a badass, just a bad kid." He corrected. Jaewon knew that he had gotten himself in a mess when he was younger and he knew he was able to get out now but he didn't want to. This was his lifestyle and honestly, he could be a lot worse if he really tried. This /was/ him behaving himself. People just didn't know that back when he was younger, he was doing a lot of things he shouldn't have been doing at that age. There were people that thought he was bad now, Jaewon knew they were lucky they didn't know him back then. He watched as Jongin danced in his seat, smiling in amusement the other for so easily being distracted but didn't say a word and let him come back on his own.
It wasn't hard to picture Jongin back in high school with the description given. Jaewon felt the corners of his lips tug as a smile threatened to break across his face. "I actually believe you. The same sweaters you have now are probably the ones you wore in high school." He joked, laughing and holding onto the edge of the stool as he was pulled closer to his friend. His smile stayed on his face, shaking his head faintly as he put his hand on Jongin's knee. "You're living, that what happened. This," He jestured around them, gazing over the sea of people dancing and drinking and laughing, grinning at Jongin and letting out a chuckle "this is the best time of our lives. We're supposed to have fun and enjoy it and make mistakes and all that crap.... for s sake I sound like a damn movie character or something." The boy sighed out, laughing once more as he took a couple more shots. The comment Jongin made, had the boy look over at him with a small teasing smirk, wiggling his brows. "Yeah, I think the cut hours thing was just a ploy for me to come in on the morning shifts and pull in more customers because of my devilishly handsome good looks. They are using me for my body, Jongin. That's so not cool. I'm going to sue." Jaewon snickered, running a hand through his hair as he stood up from his stool. "Wanna hit the dance floor now? I think I'm drunk enough now." He asked as he grabbed one more shot, throwing his head back which at this point was now swimming in a cloudy daze.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁵⁰⁶ jongin k. "Yeah, I had a girlfriend but don't play dumb because you knew I liked you as well. It was hard enough to have to feel like knowing that I was already with someone else, happy with them, but wanting to get with you as well. You sure did make things easy though, huh?" He laughed, shaking his head as the other made his way to another table and clearing the mess on it. He knew he shouldn't have but he followed anyway, still not done with what he had been needing to get out of his system for far too long. "I guess its my fault for hoping better from you as a friend, Jongin. I'm so very sorry that you couldn't just... deal with it!" He exploded the last words, arms flailing above his head to emphasize how frustrated he was. "I'm sorry you're a and I'm sorry you couldn't keep it in your pants and just be my friend. I'm sorry I thought you were a better person than that because obviously with how you're acting right now, you're just the same as you've always been and this is a complete waste of time because you're probably not even listening to me anymore." Hyuk stared at Jongin's back, face red hot at this point. He could feel his body shaking and he couldn't get it to stop. Now would have been a good a time as any to turn and walk away but he physically couldn't get himself to do so. Not without thinking of charging at the younger and hitting him.
"See Jongin, its not that hard to say sorry. I'll say it for you since it seems like its so poisonous to you. 'I'm sorry Hyuk for what I did.' That's all you have to ing say, ." Hyuk's eyes turned into small slits as he stood there a moment longer, finally turning and walking off to find one of his friends. He needed to get out of there, now. Hyuk couldn't be there a moment longer, he didn't want to be there anymore if Jongin was going to ac like a childish brat. He roamed the club, eventually finding one of the guys he had come with and sat down with him at a booth tying to call their other friend so that they could leave. Hyuk was fuming, he didn't utter a word or look around the club the entire time they sat in the corner. He was beyond ready to leave and knowing that Jongin worked here, he wouldn't ever come back to this bar and risk running into the other a second time. He could cut Jongin off again. He had done it back in school and he was going to do it again now but this time, it would be much easier. Seoul was a bustling city and he was sure the odds of ever seeing the male again were slim to none.
It took longer than anticipated but the group of three finally got together again and headed for the exit, Hyuk leading the way out and not turning back even once. He just wanted to go home. The drive back to his apartment was awkwardly silent for the others in the car but he could care less. He was in no mood to talk with anyone. When he finally made it back to the apartment building, he walked up the stairs and to his floor, his friends long gone as he realized he didn't have his keys. To top it off, he wasn't even sure if his roommate was even home. He had been knocking for over three minutes straight and no answer. Great, just great. The office downstairs was closed at this hour. He didn't know when the guy he was living with would be home. Hyuk would have o sit outside and wait it out.
@ᴀᴘᴛ⁴⁰⁹ jaewon j. Jongin grabbed a shot glass and absently traced the brim of the full glass with his finger. "The plan is to do too many shots for our own good and then head to the dance floor." He drank the liquor and hissed right after, his lips as a desperate attempt to get rid of the taste of vodka in his mouth. He listened to Jaewon's story about how he had lost his ity with a small smile playing on his lips. "Pot in high school, huh?" He raised an eyebrow questioningly, leaning closer to the male sitting in front of him. "Jung Jaewon, you are a badass, aren't you?"Jongin shook his head, tisking playfully. "When I was in high school," he started, having to pause his sentence when a song he liked - DJ Linuxis remix version of Camila Cabello's crying in the club - came on. Jongin's eyes lit up, the boy starting to sway from side to side on his seat.
He realized few moments later that he had gotten distracted, shaking his head and returning back to the original subject, leaning closer to Jaewon again so he could hear his words. "So anyway, when I was high school, I was wearing those nerd sweaters-" Jongin rubbed across his chest with his hand, grinning, "-and attended dance classes almost around the clock. I was a good boy. Unlike you." Jongin flashed Jaewon a playful smile, hooking his feet around the legs of the stool he was sitting on and pulling Jaewon's seat closer to his. Jongin was already starting to feel lightheaded. He had developed quite a high alcohol tolerance level with the daily drinking of his, but what still got him every time were vodka shots. Just plain vodka shots. It didn't take him long to get tipsy with those. How many had he had until now? Six? Maybe seven? Jongin had lost count. "I don't know what happened though. I did a pretty much 180% turn around when I moved here," Jongin was laughing, gesturing towards himself. "I mean, look at me. I'm like high school - Jaewon nowadays," he muttered teasingly, still jamming to the song. He ordered another round of shots even though they still had few left on the table, sliding his card across the counter to one of his co-workers. "You look good today, by the way. Wouldn't be surprised if the reason you had a lot of customers at the cafe today actually was you."
