@Sean William McLoughlin [H] (Sorry, this took me forever to do. T-T)
Jiho sighed as he leaned on the railing of the deck, the day had been quiet and relatively pleasant. The captain was busy looking over something so the prince was spending some time outside of the room, so he wouldn't disturb the elder. Everyone on board had seemed to be keeping themselves busy or kept their distance from him, but he could only guess the reasons why. It made him frown slightly, but they had their own jobs to being doing and he wasn't anyone of importance to them. For all he knew he was just a new member that had no really mingled with anyone else on the ship other than the captain. He shook his head, he could only imagine what they thought of him; even if he was given a job aboard the ship there were those who would still talk.
@Godfrey Gao His eyes narrowed looking at the drunk, feeling his scrutinizing eyes on him. He knew what he saw, it's what many saw and judged him for. He didn't choose to take after his mother, but that didn't mean he was just as fragile. He had proved himself capable many times before. The King and other have accepted it, everyone except to for this sad excuse for an Admiral. If he has known he was going to serve such a person, he would've quit his first week; save himself years of trouble too, might find a job that he actually liked.
"As you wish," he bit out. Anything to keep him occupied and away from Godfrey's foul mouth. He'd take all day if it meant avoiding him until rescue, but that could possibly take months. If he was going to suffer for so long he was just going to put in the extra work to me somewhat comfortable. He could always use the excuse of gathering resources to get away. Keeping himself from rolling eyes, did he even have the tools required to build a boat? With a shake of his head he left to explore the island, not bothering with say anything to the other, he'd just say something to irritate him.
------------------------------------------
Teru returned, carry what he could hold in his jacket, while dragging behind him, part of a mast from their ship, thinking it would come in use; currently being used to hold some of the requested items and a few more. He looked over to what the man was doing, making note of his burnt skin; raising an eyebrow when he noticed several coconuts spewed about. Was he trying to find something that would float? Eyes moving to a wooden object that he must've been working on. Nodding, at the explanation; at least he wasn't continuing on a useless path and was actually being useful.
"Yes, it's not much, but I'm sure the tide will bring in more tomorrow." He answered, trying to sound civil. "I'll get to work on shelter. If that is out way off this place then maybe we could find a knife to cut the sail down to size and use the rest as a blanket.
@♂ Siren@Wu Yifan The prince screamed in surprise as his hair was pulled, trying to reach out for something to grab hold of. His breathing becoming more shallow with fear and worry; his eye's growing wide seeing the captain tumble slightly. Almost missing the siren move his arms around his torso, fighting to get away; the siren have the advantage over him. Choking out a scream, feeling the jagged teeth sink into his skin, the white heat of pain feeling his body and the strange sensation of feeling his blood being slurped from his body sent tingles through out his nerves. Tears falling eyes, unable to fight; the bite felt paralyzing.
Feeling dizzy, as he feel to the floor. Not understanding the events that had just unfolding. Scuffling and a splash taking place in the background; mind barely making the connection that it was his love that pulling him to his feet and back into the room.
Trembling in fear, hoping the thing didn't comeback; he looked up feeling Kris's hand covering his wound trying to stop the bleeding. Wincing at the pain, he was going to remind him that he too had been bitten. He didn't know what disease sirens carried or if the ship was even prepared for them. His eyes filled with worry when he noticed his lover pause, searching his face for any signs of pain. Was his arm and leg hurting him? Would he be alright.
Jiho placed a hand over the one holding his wound while reaching another to touch the elder's face tenderly. He felt cold, but he also felt warm; which was strange, his cheeks were also a shade of pink almost red. Was he sick and didn't bother mentioning it?
"Kris? Are alright, my love?" He pulled closer in case he had to help him to the bed. There had to be something he could use to stop the bleeding.
@♂ Siren Kris could do nothing beside stare in horror at the glowing tHING clambering across the deck toward him and Jiho. He attempted to fling himself over Jiho to protect him, but at once his body became unresponsive and his mind reeled. As if in snapshots Kris witnessed the siren lift Jiho to his feet and latch on tightly around his neck.
"NO!" He hissed and swung his useless arm to take the siren's legs out from beneath him. He groaned and scampered close to grasp the creature. When Jiho tipped over to the floor, Kris took the opportunity to shove the thing away across the deck. He then drew a deep breath and planted a firm kick with his numb left foot in the chest, driving him overboard.
Before he could allow himself to fall he staggered to his lover's side and dragged him into the room before slamming and locking the door. He then applied pressure to the wound with his strong but shaking hand. "Jiho, Hold on! H-" His breath caught in his throat as a wave of heat And pleasure blinded him momentarily
@♂ Siren@Wu Yifan He panicked trying to pull the captain back over the rail as he heard claws scratching as the siren climb up the ship. Gripping tighter, lover's scream of agony filled his ears then going silent; eye wide fearing the pain had caused him to pass out. He had to do something, reaching over more to pull him, away from the creatures grasp. When Kris moved again, kicking hard at the siren until it finally released his leg, causing it to lose grip on the ship and fall. The prince tried again with his love's aide pulling him up and over the rail; he knew it was still to soon to breath sigh of relief. Even seeing that the thing had fallen back to the waters below, he knew it'd probably climb back up.
Kris seemed to agree, not wanting to remain out in the open. His worry growing when he notice him clutching his shoulder and tried to aide him in walking when he noticed the blood on his leg. They would have to stop the bleeding soon, it looked like a lot; just how bid was the siren's bite? Chewing his bottom lip in worry as they stumbled to get to their room; the captain had suffered so much injuries in such a short amount of time, what more would happen if this continued?
@♂ Siren@Woo Jiho ♡ A spark of unbelievable pain flashed before Kris's eyes like a streak of mage lightning, and his neck wrenched backward in convulsion. His wrist was clutched by his lover, but his arm had been wrenched all the way around as he flipped over the edge and his hand stayed stationary. He screamed and then gasped and cried out once more as the siren, still clutching his left ankle -his bad ankle- with cold, clammy hands. Then it bit him deep to the bone and he felt another bolt of excruciating pain stab through his body.
After losing consciousness for a mere moment, he found motivation to haul himself up using his good hand- it wasn't the first time he had ever fallen overboard before. With his love's help, he kicked the creature in the face, knocking it completely off and bloodying its nose. He scrambled to the deck and clutched his shoulder. "We have to hide! Quickly, into our quarters!"
@Godfrey Gao "Same could be said about yours," he spoke dryly. For the life of him he didn't know the full reason why the Admiral disliked him, only hear rumors, but those could only be half true. With a side ways glance he looked at him with disdain, know how unfortunate it was that the rumors about this man were completely true. Which would probably mean that all the rumors he's heard, were probably just his words repeated, though they might have been softened for his ears.
Scoffing softly, him navigate blindly? That was laugh, he couldn't even get them out of firing range. And look where they were now. Stuck. Their ship sunk, and half the crew possibly dead, the other half possibly floating adrift elsewhere and fighting to stay alive themselves. If anything, he felt as though Godfrey was the reason they were defeated. He was more drunkard than a pirate was, he had most of their same qaulities. It was a wonder people had no faith in the navy when their leader was just as bad as the men they sworn to protect the people from.
Teru was finding it hard to hold back his tongue, he was not as useless ad this man like to make him out to be. He used to be one of abled bodies, rushing to and fro, making the ship ready; training that he had to go through before being advanced. Listening to the other he glanced around the island, "and which do you find me capable of doing, sir?"
@Godfrey Gao Teru pursed his lips tightly, as he watched their vessel burn and sink; another humiliating loss against pirates. He had hoped they would've fared better with the admiral with them, since he had the most experience, but alas even that did no difference. The heavens were against them, truly they were; with their highest ranking officer being a drunk and a womanizer and the winds against them. They stood no chance at a victory.
With a heavy sigh, he looked away from the wreckage and towards the direction in which the currents carried the life boat. Rolling his eyes at the man's comments. "Is there even a brain cell left after all the alcohol has filled in?"
"There is no need for the melodramatics, Admiral." He added. Truly heaven blame him for something to trap him with the elder man. Drowning, burn, getting eaten by sea life, or his throat cut by pirates; all good options that he had let slip by. This was going to be a miserable way to live and die.
@Wu Yifan Jiho rolled over to Kris's side of the bed, feeling that it was empty he slowly got up. Rubbing the sleep from his eye, he looked around the empty room see the door wide open.
'Strange,' he thought. The captain never left the door open. Especially, if he was left in the room alone. Something wasn't right. Hearing strange sounds coming from outside, finding it very eerie; sounding almost beautify, but also bone chilling. Worry and fear sent shivers running up and down his spine, feeling the need to find the captain. Climbing out of bed, not bothering to look for pants, believing the shirt was large enough to cover him and the fact that he actually wore undergarments that night was a miracle as is. Making his way out of the room, careful not to trip over anything; the cold air almost sent him running back under the cover.
Ignoring the frigid air on his bare legs he continued on in search of the man that held him completely; wrapping his arms around himself hoping to find him quickly. The strange sounds were louder now, coming from around the ship; the heavy fog causing his fear to rise. His heart began beating faster, tears stinging his eyes, becoming desperate to find the captain. His scared mind trying to think of the what was going on. He froze hearing a splash coming from somewhere in the fog; gasped as he came to a conclusion. Sirens. Running now, he had thought they were only stories, this wasn't good. This was very bad.
His eyes went wide he hearing the elder's voice, barely being able to make out his figure through the fog. Running towards him, as he screamed out tears streaming down his face, "Kris! Don't listen to them!"
Seeing him lean forward, caused him to run as fast as he could, his heart racing even faster. Screaming out his love's name as grabbed the falling man; his stomach hitting the rail as he tried to keep the both of them from falling off. Hang on to Kris's arm as he dangled over the ship; pleading in a cryin voice for the captain to listen, "Kris's please snap out of it. Don't listen to him."
@♂ Siren Kris felt his knees give way and he clung to the wood with all his might. "Jiho-" He called out as loud as he could manage, and reached out toward his lover. He was seemingly floating, but it made sense-- he /was/ an angel after all. His eyes teared and leaked, and he wanted nothing more than to hold his partner right then. But he was teasingly far away.
"Come to me," he pleaded. "I can't reach you-" His knees, though still weak, managed to support him long enough to haul himself upright. Then forward.
@Woo Jiho ♡ Kris cracked an eye open as he sat up and quirked the corner of his mouth upward. "Oh yes," he replied in a semi-sleepy voice. "Do come in." He stood up and stretched his aching leg before reaching into the wardrobe that was built into the wall. He rummaged for a moment until finding a periwinkle satin nightshirt and a pair of light linen capris, hoping they would be soft enough to make for comfortable slumber. "Here, I think these should fit." He stepped back and turned to Jiho, holding his arms outstretched to display and size-up the fit.
He noticed that the other was still blushing... or he was a drunk, and tilted his head slightly to one side. He met the other's eyes for a second or two before the gaze was broken by the younger. He let the articles fall into a pile on the bed behind him and then stepped forward to stand a mere few inches away. He was very tall and this noble was somewhat short, so he was careful not to loom over him like a tower of doom. His arm lifted and his fingers drifted over the buttons on Jiho's blouse, tugging at the very top one.
"May I help?" He carefully, tenderly searched the other's face in the dimming lantern light and waited for some sign that he could continue. The other was obviously flustered, but certainly not objecting aloud as Kris slowly ed the shirt from neck to hem. He let his fingers ghost over and graze Jiho's chest, and when his dress shirt hung open to reveal his chest, Kris chuckled breathlessly. "Wow." He stood for a moment before removing the article completely from the other's shoulders. "Are you still alright?"
He waited to be sure the other was comfortable, was not scared, and feathered his chilled fingertips up and down Jiho's arm. "You are magnificent. I saw you and couldn't believe my eyes. Such beauty..." He smiled and brushed the fringe from his guest's eyes. "You don't need to be worried. I'll keep you safe." He paused just long enough to inhale before placing a tender kiss on the top of his head.
Walking into the room, the moonlight shining through its windows, the prince headed overt to pull the drapes open to allow more light you enter. Debating either himself, if he should light one of the lanterns for more light; opting to do so, he rummage through his bag for his matches. Setting his bag down on the bed, before light the lantern and turning it, squinting his eyes slightly as the fire light the room a bit more. Taking a few seconds before seeing out to look around, room only being smaller them the captain's, but still a comfortable size.
Moving to sit on the bed, emptying out his bag to look over whay he actually had inside. Frowning a bit, he knew not to expect much, but he was hoping he had at least one shirt with him. With a sigh he looked everything over, two writing journals, a drawing one, some worrying utensils, his tool kit, and his smoke bombs that he still hasn't labled correctly. He looked to the small night stand, reaching over to open the drawer and place his belongings in them. Hanging his bag on the bed post, wondering to himself what to do next. Uncertain of what he should do, Jiho decided to take off the extra accessories, taking off the sleeves hanging just above his elbows.
A knock on the door called for his attention, a soft blush covered his cheeks noticing Kris in the room. He gave him a nod, not trusting his voice to remain calm. Blush turning deeper, as he brought up their earlier conversation; he really hasn't minded the comment, he was just angry at himself for acting like a hormonal teenager. And the man continued to prove to him he wad exactly just that, as he felt his whole body flush when he wad once again invited to the man's bed.
Swallowing thickly, as he winked at him; there way he wad misinterpreting that comment. Watching as he left the room, his face still burning at how much his words affected him. Internally, debating if he should accept the invitation or not. His hands moving to clutch at his shirt over his heart, cursing himself for falling so easily, feeling his heart beat fast. Turning to look at the door that joined their rooms together, cheering his bottom lip thoughtfully, about to decide if he was about to make the right decision.
Looking down at his shirt, he never asked if there was anything available for him to borrow. Well, that decided it. Slowly, getting off the bed, Jiho quietly made his way too the door. Offering a knock, to alert the other of his presence before opening in slightly.
Calling out softy, as he entered partially, "umm, I forgot to ask, if there was something I could borrow. "
With every step, Kris felt more ashamed. He cursed himself for his loose lips, for after all, they sink ships. He sighed and hung his head in silent contemplation while bracing his cold, almost numb hands against the side of the ship. As he pondered his options and obsessed over his mistake, he rubbed the smooth, lacquered cedar in random patterns. His gimp leg ached in the bone from the damp cold and his fever was bound to return, but he needed this. His self-loathing would never end if he didn't rationalize his actions.
'Arright, Kris. Y'er fine. He prolly forgot arready. He won't hate yer guts-- ye saw his reaction.' And he managed a small smirk of a smile when he thought of the blushing blond fidgeting nervously and biting his lip. 'Maybe.. be blunt. Tell him y'er shaye, invite him to join in the fun.' His old-fashioned, pirate-taught pick-up skills were certainly rusty, bound to fail, but he would be damned for not trying. With a pat to the ship, he his heel and approached his second-in-command who was sailing, letting him in on the change of plans. He then retreated to his quarters and shut and locked the door behind him, and ducked into his room. Or. What he thought was his room.
Maybe it was his subconscious. Maybe it was luck. No matter, he felt like a fortune. 'Oh gods,' he thought on repeat. 'He's right there.' The other hadn't seemed to spot him yet, so Kris gently rapped on the doorframe. He offered a smile befpre nodding once. "May I intrude?" Upon Jiho's reply, Kris stepped forward to reside at the foot of the bed. "I wanted to clarify on my... slip-up earlier." He cleared his throat and took a wavering breath before opening his eyes and locking eyes with the other.
"You're invited. into my bed. with me." An awkward moment of silence hung over him for a moment before he smiled softly. "If you wish, of course. I've no company, and that is up to you to change." As if by magic, he managed a half-decent wink and a half-smirk. "Good night," he basically sang as he left the room to enter his own. When he found the lantern with clouded glass beside his bed, he clumsily lit it and sighed in relief as he sunk onto his bed. He closed his eyes and began to doze, not bothering to change or even remove his shoes to nestle under the covers.
@Wu Yifan He nodded, trying not to blush harder as he felt his eyes on him. Telling himself the man was just trying to think of there was something that would fit him. Hearing again hearing his plans about docking again, he could only hope currency was the same, and that he'd have enough. He may have to find a way to earn some money, if worse came to worse.
Stating with the crew? Could he handle being around so many people he didn't know in one place? What would their reaction even be about him? He could help but feel nervous at the thought. His hopes perking up at the possibility of bring somewhere closer and may even be safer for him. The option much better than the first, but the third option. He could feel his while body grow hot. Chewing his bottom lip harder, to keep himself in check. He learned his lesson the first time, he couldn't repeat his mistake. He didn't know if the captain had someone already, someone that he held dear, and he could only assume he wad acting on lust.
Looking back to Kris, his back turned to him as he headed out a door at the opposite end of the room. He supposed it was for him to explore the room a bit more comfortably and to inform his crew about his presence if they didn't already know. Taking a step, only to pause, remembering his grappling hook and line. He'd lose it if he left it out there and there was no telling if he'd need it. He quickly ran over to retrieve his line before heading into the room that he wad directed too earlier.
@Woo Jiho Kris's heart was about to explode, really. He felt the other's blush from his spot a meter away, and it was sure contagious. "Yes, well.." He looked the other over, carefully scrutinizing his proportions and size. "I might be able to find something, either route we'll dock again for supplies." His eyes raked over the other, completely aware he might be flustered. "You'll be sleeping with the crew after tomorrow, if that suits you." He looked at the room again and hummed. "I certainly won't object if you'd like to stay in here." He nearly smacked himself, since he had absolutely no language filter. He was surprised he made it this far, to be honest. "Or in my bed-"
and there it was. What he knew he would do: slip up. His burning cheeks were illuminated by the light, but before the other could react, he his heel and headed toward the door. Would you like to see your temporary quarters?" When the door swung open, he held onto it with all his might. He was feeling even weaker and more anxious, but he couldn't blame the boy. err, man.
"I suppose I'll give the order, then." And though he didn't know what order he'd be giving, he knew he had to leave the room. He left the heavy heat of the room before emerging into the cold, where his teeth were instantly chattering. The spray of the sea salt would only grow colder, and he would just have to get used to it. Besides, the cold snapped him out of his desire-driven stupor, and reminded him that he was a pirate captain, not some bard. He shouldn't be ashamed...
oh but he was.
@Wu Yifan He resisted the urge to laugh, they've already set their course long before his answer. He sarcastically thought to himself, finding it a bit amusing, 'and if I had said, no? What would he have done?'
Turning back to listen to the captain, the moon shining through the window was his only light. Making the man before him appear paler and more mysterious then he had before. Averting his eyes as he fought the heat rising in his cheeks. Sleeping quarters? Did pirate ships have separate sleeping quarters for each individual? He looked over to the door that he had pointed to; he didn't know this man well enough to be thinking such thinking such a things, then again, he didn't know the other very well when he had given in.
Shaking the thoughts from his head, haearing the last question. Adequate belongings? His eyes went wide in realization, taking off his bag and began searching through it. He had only grabbed out when he ran out of his room, inside only being books, writing material, and whatever money he had in it from his last day trip. He never packed clothes, he wad gong to musty buy some when he got the chance, but it had slipped his mind entirely when he had met Kris.
He couldn't stop the blush that covered him now, feeling some shame in his carelessness and ill planning. Keeping his eyes down, "I-I forgot to get some clothes from the market. "
@Woo Jiho Kris's mouth turned up into the brightest, happiest smile he could manage and he had to stifle a laugh and gleeful clapping by biting his tongue. Hard. He turned to the window and nodded slowly. "We've set sail, headed for the New World." He folded his arms over his chest to curb his shivering. He was still ill, and the air was crisp, and the anticipation building up over the last few candlemarks set his nerves ablaze. He was hair-triggered, but too weak to act upon his deadly urges. and when he remembered who was in the room with him, he knew he wouldn't be able to kill him. So this was going well.
"I think ye are wise." 'And beautiful,' he thought. He wanted to tell this man, to flirt with him... but of course, he couldn't. No man would fall for his advances anyhow, so he kept his thoughts betwixt himself and his first-mate. "We'll have quarters set for you tomorrow. Tonight you take the 'noble quarters.' To the left of mine." He pointed to the closed door and checked on a suspicion of his. "You have adequate belongings?"
