@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jungkook winced when he patted Jimin’s back. “Are you okay?” Jimin asked, worried about how injured Jungkook’s arm was. He just flew up here from the rock that he landed on, but Jimin was worried that he wouldn’t be able to more flying than that. “Yeah, I think it’s enough training for one day,” Jimin agreed. He didn’t want to keep Jungkook out here when he should be getting home and letting his body heal. “I think that would be nice.” Jimin stated. He wondered if Jungkook was just agreeing to walk because he couldn’t fly, or if part of it was because he honestly wanted more of Jimin’s company.

@Park Jimin (Hylian) Jimin was cute when he was shy and flustered. The way his cheeks were dusted with a deeper pink than just the rosy color that his cheeks naturally turned from the cold. Jungkook never imagined that he’d see this side of a hylian—a side in which he can actually find them to be cute, but here they were. Jimin was standing before him blushing and absolutely adorable. “You did great,” Jungkook tried to be reassuring, wondering if that was Jimin’s first encounter with the flying monsters. He patted Jimin’s shoulder and winced at the pain it caused when he moved his own arm. “Well, I think that’s enough to call it a day, don’t you?” Jungkook looked off down the path that he seldom walked. He shoulder was too injured for him to fly more than just a few feet, so it looked like he would be heading back to the village with Jimin. “Why don’t we head back to the village? I can walk with you this time.”

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jimin felt like he could finally breathe when Jungkook shouted back to him with a response. He was alive. When he flew back up to the platform that Jimin was standing on, Jimin took a step back to allow a spot for him to land. Jimin imagined that he had to be in some amount of pain, but he looked like it didn’t bother him at all. He was just trying to catch his breath from the battle. Jimin blinked in realization when Jungkook said something about saving his life. He did, didn’t he? He hadn’t thought about it that way. He was just trying to get the monsters away, but they /could/ have killed Jungkook. Jimin saved him. “I-it was nothing,” Jimin stuttered, blushing at the praise. “You could have handled that on your own. I just shot a few arrows. That’s all.”

@Park Jimin (Hylian) It took Jungkook a minute to recover from the force of the impact, and he knew that he’d be dealing with the damage from these hits tomorrow. Just before the Aeralfos were close enough to attack Jungkook, he heard them screech out in pain before flying away. When Jungkook looked up to the landing, he saw Jimin there with a bow in his hand, aiming it down in Jungkook’s direction. He had saved Jungkook’s life, and Jungkook couldn’t be more thankful than he was at this moment. He heard Jimin call down to him, asking if he was okay. It hurt, but Jungkook knew that he was going to have to voice a response if he didn’t want Jimin freaking out wondering if Jungkook had died or something. “I’m fine!” Jungkook called up to Jimin, and he forced himself to stand up. He crouched down on the edge of the rock, trying to get a good enough angle so that he wouldn’t fall, and he jumped to fly up to the landing that Jimin was still standing on. “Thanks,” He said, looking down at the tiny hylian. “You really saved my life just then.” He panted as he tried catching his breath, and he really tried to ignore the pain that was centered in his shoulder

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jimin was so distracted by the beauty and grace of Jungkook’s movements that he hadn’t even noticed the fourth Aeralfos that was coming for him. He didn’t notice it until Jungkook started heading hi way, and he was sure that the Aeralfos had his life by then. Jungkook was just on time to saving him, but he ended up getting injured in the process. As Jimin saw the Aeralfos rushing toward Jungkook, he knew that he had to act fast if he wanted to save the Rito’s life just as Jungkook had done for him only seconds before. He quickly grabbed his bow and loaded it with some arrows. He took aim at the Aeralfos, hoping he could get it in one shot. He fired one arrow at a time, hitting each Aerlfos. If they didn’t fall into the pit, they flew away to flee the scene. Jimin smiled, proud of himself as he had just saved Jungkook’s life. He rand to the edge of the platform and looked down at the fallen Rito. “Are you okay?” He shouted and hoped that Jungkook could still fly. If not, Jimin had no idea how he was going to get back up from there.

@Park Jimin (Hylian) Once Jimin was safe on the landing, Jungkook pulled out his Rito crafted blade and flew in the direction of the oncoming enemies. He fought them off as well as he could, but it was three against one, and anyone could say that wasn’t a fair fight. Especially when the Aeralfos were even better at aerial based attacks than the Rito were, and that wasn’t an easy thing for Jungkook to admit. As Jungkook was working fighting off the three Aeralfos that where in his way, he noticed a fourth one flying toward Jimin on the landing. “Oh no you don’t!” Jungkook shouted, and he spun away from the three he was fighting. He flew toward the fourth Aeralfos and attempted to slice at him, but he was too quick. The Aeralfos jerked around and kicked Jungkook right in the chest, causing the Rito to fall against the rock in the center of the flight range. The impact was harsh and painful, and Jungkook couldn’t recover right away. The Aeralfos flew toward him, and he was sure this was about to be the end.

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jimin felt his heart stop when he heard the screeching from monsters. He had heard the sound before and recognized them as the screams of the airborne Aeralfos. He wanted to help Jungkook fight them, but the Rito didn’t give him a chance to offer. Jimin was dropped off on the platform, and so he just sat and watched, as there was nothing else he could do.

@Park Jimin (Hylian) Jungkook didn’t expect Jimin to participate in the training. He just wanted to show off his own skills—proving that he can fly fast even with a Hylian on his back, and still make perfect shots. He was confident in his own abilities, and he liked showing them off. He was just about to fire more arrows to show off a bit more, but he heard the familiar screeching of those Aeralfos monsters. They had been visiting the Tabantha Region a lot recently and attacking the Ritos when they traveled too far from the village. It was getting to the point that it was dangerous to go out at all anymore.
“Sorry, I’m going to have to let you down for this one,” Jungkook told Jimin. A Hylian would have very little vantage with a flying monster like the Aeralfos, and, as great as Jungkook was showing off his skills in training, he wouldn’t very well be able to /fight/ with Jimin on his back. Without giving the Hylian a chance to argue, Jungkook flew back to the landing and let Jimin off.
With a hand on his feathered edge blade, Jungkook flew back up in the direction of the Aeralfos and began fighting them off.

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jimin yelped in surprise when Jungkook took off from the platform, and he held on tight as Jungkook flew through the air. It was amazing how he flew around with such ease even with Jimin’s added weight on his back. He flew with grace as he shot his arrows at the targets and hit each one. Jimin tried to attempt to do the same thing, but he was scared to let go of Jungkook for even a second. He shook his head, closing his eyes tightly. “No, I can’t do it!” He shouted. He was supposed to be a knight, but he was too chicken to even do something like this.

@Park Jimin (Hylian) When Jimin climbed onto Jungkook's back, he was much lighter than what Jungkook had expected, but he was having too much fun teasing the hylian. "Oh, I might," Jungkook groaned when Jimin said something about dropping him, "You are /so/ heavy." He was only teasing, and he hoped that Jimin wouldn't take him seriously. He made sure to use his 'obviously-sarcastic' voice to clear up any confusion in his words.
Jungkook didn't wait for Jimin to get situated. He just flew off of the platform and into the air. He was the fastest at flying in the village, but he wasn't going to show that off today. He chose what he hoped to be a comfortable speed to Jimin and decided to focus on showing off his archery skills as well. It was something Jungkook had inherited from his father, the fallen rito champion, and a skill that he was very proud of. "I'll shoot first," Jungkook shouted loud enough that Jimin could hear him, and he grabbed his bow and arrows and got them ready. "Just try to copy what I do!"
Jungkook readied his bow, pulled the string back, and let the arrows fly. The rito specialized in bows that fire multiple arrows at once, so Jungkook was able to successfully hit three targets in one shot.

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jimin didn't think anything of his own words until Jungkook said something about him not being fat. He hadn't meant it that way. He only meant that he was a fully grown person, and he thought it would be difficult for Jungkook to fly around with an adult on his back. Jungkook comment made him laugh. "I didn't mean that I'm fat!" He told Jungkook. No matter Jimin's arguments, Jungkook knelt down and ordered for Jimin to get on. Jimin sighed, and he grabbed onto Jungkook's shoulders as he climbed onto the rito's back. "You better not drop me."

@Park Jimin (Hylian) Jungkook initially thought that he was going to hate training Jimin with a bow and arrow, but the way this hylian presented himself and acted toward Jungkook was so much different from the way other hylians had acted. Jimin was more polite in a way that proved his understood that rito and hylian culture would be very different from each other, but also wasn't so kind that he almost seemed weak. Hylians always seemed like they were easily intimidated by the rito. Birds were mean and territorial, and Jungkook had seen some humans get attacked by birds because they were stupid and messing around the nest or something like that. It was understandable that they'd be intimidated by the rito who were basically human-sized birds with more human-like qualities.
When Jungkook offered for Jimin to fly through the air on his back, the hylian seemed to soften up a little, and it caused Jungkook's smile to widen. He was actually kind of cute if Jungkook pushed all of his prejudice opinion of his race aside. "What do you mean your size? You're not fat," Jungkook stated just to be more reassuring. "In fact, your tiny. Even for a hylian. Hop on." Jungkook ordered. He knelt down and extended his wings out to the side as he waited for Jimin to climb onto his back.

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) Jimin was close to changing his mind. He didn’t see the point in trying to learn from Jungkook if the Rito was just going to tease and mock him for being flightless. He couldn’t understand why Jungkook would even agree to training him if he was just going to act like this. It must have been a cultural difference. Hylians would never mock each other like that, but it’s possible that the attitude wasn’t considered rude among the Rito. Not wanting to think that Jungkook was being a jerk, Jimin decided to believe that one.
Jimin really wanted to say something smart back to the bird, but he couldn’t think of anything. He couldn’t come up with one thing that the hylians could do that the rito couldn’t—at least one advantage that they’d have over the rito.
The suggestion of taking flight on Jungkook’s back shocked Jimin, and he wondered if Jungkook would even be able to fly while carrying a whole person on him. The way the bird looked back and smiled was nice though, and Jimin had to agree. “That could work” Jimin said. “If you can fly with someone my size on your back.”

@Park Jimin (Hylian) Jimin arrived much faster than Jungkook had expected. He didn't look worn out or anything that suggested he had been roughed up by the monsters on the way here, and Jungkook was mildly impressed. He hadn't seen very many hylians who could sneak past the little gremlins, even in the snow. The thought made it seem more like Jimin was fit for sneaking rather than fighting, but he wasn't about to say so and pick a fight with the hylian. He didn't think that it would be the polite thing to do, and Jungkook always tried to be a little more polite than most of the other male rito, who happened to be the cockiest among his species.
Jimin had apologized for taking such a long time to arrive here, and he even went so far as to offer some snappy remark about not being able to fly. Jungkook couldn't blame him. Flight was an ability to be envied, and Jungkook was thankful for his own gift everyday. It was so easy to get around when he didn't have to walk up steep hills and climb up large mountain. Just a few flaps of his wings, and he could be right where he wanted to. "It's no problem at all, you were actually faster than I expected," Jungkook stated. He had thought he'd be sitting around for half a day before Jimin arrived. "You brought your bow, so I assume you're ready? But I am wondering how you plan on using our flight range when you don't even have wings. The whole point is to practice shooting while in air, which you hylians would know nothing about."
Jungkook walked to the edge of the bridge and looked down at the targets that were already set up, and he thought for a moment, placing his feathered hand to his beak. "I suppose I could let you take flight on my back," He suggested, and he turned back to Jimin with a smile.

@Jeon Jungkook (Rito) The only thing that Jimin hated more than the cold was the attitude of some of these bird-people living this far up in the mountains. Jungkook was nice for the most part. After all, his first encounter with Jimin was preventing Jimin from getting ripped off by the shopkeeper. Jimin thought that was nice. Jungkook's personality was nice, but his cocky attitude was something that put Jimin off a little. There was also the fact that the rito seemed to have a general distaste for hylians, but Jimin didn't let that part bother him.
Jimin wanted to learn a little something about archery. He already knew quite a bit about melee fighting, but there wasn't much that he knew in the way of the bow, and he wanted to learn. He felt that it could suit him better than melee fighting. Even if they were just monsters, Jimin didn't like the way it felt to kill them with swards and knives. He didn't like feeling their life leave their body. With a bow, he was sure that he could avoid that, which is why he asked Jungkook to teach him how to shoot.
The rito agreed on the condition that Jimin could make it to the flight range himself. Jimin felt that was an unfair condition, but he didn't complain. The worst part of the trip was the cold. The monsters seemed to be quiet today, and they didn't cause much trouble for Jimin. He hid from the occasional one that did show up until it was out of his path, and he continued on until he made it to the flight range. He found Jungkook sitting on the ground, sharpening his arrows, looking as bored as he could possibly be. Cocky little .
"Sorry it took me so long," Jimin said, kicking the snow off his boots as he walked up the steps to meet his trainer. "I wasn't gifted with the same ability of flight that you were, so it takes me a bit longer to get around."

@Park Jimin (Hylian) Hylians didn't come to the village often, and it was even more rare that they would come all the way out to the flight range. Most of the path was much too cold for their poor, featherless bodies to handle without bundling up in extra warm clothing, and probably eating a body heat enhancing dish to keep them from freezing to death. If the cold didn't get to them, the monsters often would. Jungkook had seen it too many times--hylians being destroyed in the field because they were seldom trained in the ways of the sword, or any other fighting method, really. Even in these dangerous times, hylians didn't bother learning how to defend themselves. Jungkook thought it was ridiculous, but it was probably their naive way of showing that they thought this would all be over soon. They were foolish if they honestly believed that. The calamity had already claimed the lives of all five of the champions, and for all anyone knew, Princess Zelda was as good as dead where she was locked away in that castle. It was clear that no one was strong enough to defeat the calamity, so the smart thing to do was to just simply survive. Jungkook was confident that he knew how to fight well enough for that, his survival. He wasn't stupid enough to give his life to a cause that he didn't see himself winning.
Jimin was one of the few hylians that bothered to learn anything about fighting, and he was one of the fewer that Jungkook had come to know by name. Jimin had visited Rito Village a few times before. It was always as a trader, and that's actually how the two had met. Jungkook was in the bow shop, looking for a new bow to practice with, and Jimin happened to be in the same shop, trying to trade his wares for a weapon. Jungkook knew based on Jimin's ignorance about bows that he didn't know anything about archery. The owner of the shop tried to cheat Jimin into getting too cheap of a bow for the wares that he was giving in exchange, and Jungkook just couldn't sit back and watch that happen. He stepped in and helped Jimin get a better deal, much to the disappointment of the shopkeeper. That encounter eventually led to the events of the day, with Jimin coming to the flight range to train with Jungkook.
Jungkook actually hated wasting his time on Hylians. He already knew that they were nothing special when it came to fighting, and they could never match up to any of the more specialized races in Hyrule. He only agreed to train with Jimin on the condition that Jimin walked all the way from Rito Village to the Flight Range himself, and he had to make it there alive, obviously. Maybe it wasn't a fair challenge, considering Jungkook arrived at the flight range within minutes of taking off from Rito Village, thanks to his ability of flight, and it wasn't a challenge for him. He just wanted this Hylian to prove that he was something special. As Jungkook waited for Jimin to catch up to him, he sat under the hut, and he sharpened his arrows. It would only be a matter of time before they Hylian showed up. Jungkook had faith in him.
