@Ahn Hyojin (Rito) Hyojin seemed awkward enough that it made Ashley wonder if she was this awkward with all strangers, or if she just felt flustered and surprised by Ashley’s sudden approach. It wasn’t Ashley’s intention to make the girl feel awkward, so she thought of just leaving her be and heading off in a different direction. That would be rude, Ashley told herself, so she sat on the stump that had been offered and she listened as Hyojin continued the conversation. “Oh?” Ashley’s interest was peaked. “You’re a craftswoman? Well, I just so happen to be one of the Gerudos who craft those fine jewels you purchased. In fact, I’m on my way back from the exchange after doing a delivery.” It was a good topic for a first conversation, and Ashley hoped that some kind of relationship with the girl would blossom from this.

@Ashley Choi (Gerudo) Hyojin was making a fool of herself, but the Gerudo didn't seem to mind at all. She offered Hyojin a pretty and reassuring smile. Her kind gestures and easy presence assured Hyojin that, even if she did sound like an idiot, she didn't have to feel awkward. Her name was Ashley, and it was such a fitting name for such an attractive woman. Hyojin almost missed the question that Ashley asked, but he saw the girl gesturing to the stump near the fire. "Hm?" Hyojin hummed, the gears in mind running as she was trying to guess what Ashley might have said. "Oh. Yes! Please, sit." She patted the stump and offered a smile, hoping she looked as friendly as Ashley rather than as creepy and awkward as she felt. "I'm heading back to Rito Village after picking up some gems in town for my bows." Hyojin explained. She hoped that it would spark up a conversation instead of turn out into an awkward statement that she just made.

@Ahn Hyojin (Rito) There was only one girl at the fire. A rito. A beautiful one at that, with sleek and shimmering feathers and eyes that could light up a dark night. It was a cheesy description Ashley knew, but it was true and she was just weak and soft for pretty girls. It didn’t matter if they were gerudo or not. Ashley liked the pretty girls. She thought it was cute how this particular one got all shy at Ashley’s appearance. She seemed like she felt she was making a fool of herself, but Ashley just found it cute.
“Yes, I am headed home,” Ashley affirmed. Somehow she liked the implication that this rito didn’t assume that all gerudos lived in the desert. Ashley’s kind existed all over the map. “Hyojin. That’s a pretty name.” Ashley smiled. “I’m Ashley of the Gerudo. From Gerudo Town. It’s nice to meet you.” She said and stepped more toward the girl. “Do you mind if I have a seat here?” Ashley pointed to the stump next to Hyojin.

@Ashley Choi (Gerudo) It would probably be a unanimous vote if travelers were asked which region was the worst to travel to. They would all agree that it was the desert region, dry and hot and dusty. The sandstorms and lack of common landmarks made it easy for unprepared and unskilled travelers to get lost, and many hylians have actually died and dried up to nothing but bones out in the middles of the wasteland. It was a good thing, then, that Hyojin was not a Hylian, but a Rito. Still, it was rather unfortunate that it was much too hot in the region for Hyojin to fly. She considered herself an expert at traveling in the desert, but she avoided making trips out here as much as she could. When she needed gems for the bows that she was making, she would normally head out to the Eldin Mountains instead, buying them from the Gerudo Mines. Fireproof lizards and smotherwing butterflies were easy to come by in that region, even before reaching the areas that were hot enough to burst anyone but a Goron into flames. Those items could easily be combined with any monster part to create a fireproof elixir to allow non-Gorons to travel near the volcano safely. The desert, on the other hand, could get so hot that not even level three cooling potions would be enough to save someone who wasn't used to the extreme temperatures out there. So Hyojin only visited the desert if she absolutely needed gems that were made with the Gerudos fine crafting skills.
Every time she came by the desert, she made sure to stop by the stables on here way out. It was partly just to stop and rest a bit before flying the rest of the way back to the rito village, but also because she liked meeting the travelers who came by here. Unlike any other region in Hyrule, the Gerudo Canyon Stable had the most diverse travelers. You never knew why anyone would be coming all the way out to the desert, and people had many reasons for wanting to challenge the extreme temperatures.
Today was an unusually quiet day at the stable, and Hyojin had spend most of the evening by the cooking pot alone. She didn't mind, as she always enjoyed the solitude as well. She looked up when she heard a person approaching, and she was gifted with the sight of beautiful Gerudo woman. She was tall, like any Gerudo beauty, and Hyojin felt the need to say something. "H-hey," She stuttered, uncharacteristic of the confident Rito she was. "Headed home?" She mentally slapped herself in the face for that one. There was no doubt that a Gerudo headed by the stable this way would be headed home. "I'm Hyojin. From Rito Village. It's quite different from the desert. Colder." Okay, Hyojin. You can shut up now. Hyojin closed her beak and just offered a soft smile to the Gerudo woman, hoping to refrain from making a further fool of herself.

After a long journey out to the Exchange to fulfill an order for a shipment of her finest jewelry, Ashley had a long way to go as she headed back to Gerudo Town. She loved the convenience of the Gerudo Canyon Stable, which existed right outside of the Gerudo wastelands. The stable rented out horses to those heading out from the desert, and it was often where Ashley would stop on her way in and out of the desert as she made deliveries. Sandy, an obvious name for a horse found near the desert, was Ashley's favorite pick, and she always hated the moments that she returned to the stable and had to return. She had half a mind to adopt the horse, but Sandy wasn't made for the desert climate, so Ashley'd never be able to bring her home.
It was late in the evening when Ashley made it back to the stable this time, and she hadn't prepared clothes to travel through the freezing desert in the night. She'd have to stay at the stables until morning. She payed the room fee up front, but decided that she'd go out near the fireplace to meet any of the other campers who were also staying the night here.
