@Hwang Woolim Jaehyung was surprised, worried even, when the lady choked. He did not hesitate reaching out for his own cup of water and handed it to her, eyebrows furrowed in worry and lips curled down into a frown. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry--." He wasn't sure what he was apologizing for, but he was quite certain this happened because of him, anyway. He used his own tissue to help wipe the water, holding the other tray in one hand rather easily. "Are you okay?" Was that a stupid question to ask, he wondered, as he carefully placed his tray above the table. It was still a bit wet, but not enough to cause discomfort. He sat down, looking at her hesitantly. "Or did you not want me to be here? If that's the case, I can go. . ."
@Park Jaehyung Woolim had just popped a giant rice cake in when she heard a voice from somewhere. With the ddeokbokki partially in and partially sticking out between her lips, she immediately whipped her head from the poster and glanced at the owner of the voice. "Hmm?" she was about to speak but completely forgot there was a rice cake in . With her hand she shoved the rice cake into , quickly chewing it and holding a hand out to the other person as a 'hold on' sign. Woolim coughed, almost choking from eating to fast and frantically reached for her cup of water. However, she accidentally tipped it over, spilling the contents. "Mm!" She shot to her feet and reached for the cup before all the water could spill out, quickly taking a sip of the remaining liquid. She coughed again, hitting her chest with a fist. Woolim stared down at the water all over the table. She slowly glanced up at the man with a distressed look, slightly pursing her lips into a pout. She cleared before speaking, "Uh..y-yeah. I-If you want to." Woolim looked back down at her food, a little glummer than before. She only had one napkin with her and tried her best to salvage it while wiping up the water. She didn't want to walk away at this moment, thinking it would be rude to just suddenly leave right as this person was going to join her.
@Hwang Woolim It was lunch time, and boy, Jaehyung had almost become the next The Flash because of how fast he walked inside the cafeteria. He wasn't a student here—he'd already graduated four years ago, but he wasn't here for the education. He had just come here for some inspiration for his work, you know? His creativity was running low recently, and he was wondering what the others thought about his latest work which he had drawn for the school. He was hired for it, and he wouldn't deny the fact that he had finished it simply because of the deadline. And he wasn't proud of it, but what could he do if all inspiration and motivation just decided to fly out of his brain?
He sighed, easily blending with the students as he fell in love. He was blessed with young looks, he knew (read: claimed). He nudged his glasses up as he tried to see the menu from where he was. Unfortunately for him, he grew up with bad eyesight, and the distance just didn't allow him to read it clearly. His stomach grumbled unhappily, and he sighed once more. Well, it seemed like a lot of people had looked at it once or twice when they were in the cafeteria, giving comments (most of them were positive, which he was glad for. His fragile heart wouldn't be able to handle that, aww). So perhaps, he should juat go. Everyone seemed happy with it, anyway. He moved to walk out of the line, to maybe just eat in one of the fast food restaurants and lay off the ramyeon. (That was getting too dangerous for his health, recently. Why he hadn't studied how to cook yet he didn't know.)
However something had caught his attention, and this was a girl, a student in here it seemed, who was definitely the most... excited (was that the right term?) out of all the people he'd seen look at his work today. With the way she talked about it, he didn't know whether to feel extremely flattered or embarrassed. In the end, he decided to accept both. He stayed in line then, watched the female student go to a table near the poster. And feeling rather confident and with his tray in his hands, his lunch placed nicely above it, he wandered toward her table, cleared his throat. "Uh, mind if I sit here?" The cafeteria was full, and there weren't any table he could see that was free. This was his only option (honestly, no, but he wanted to have a talk with this gal too. It wasn't as though he met anyone who was as enthusiastic as she was whenever they saw his artwork.
@Park Jaehyung Woolim rushed out of her biology class, heading straight to looking for the nearest restroom. Boy, she should not have chugged down that giant glass of lemonade this morning before going to school. She immediately burst into a stall and settled down, sighing in relief once she was at peace. Once finished, she washed her hands clean and checked her appearance one last time before heading out. She was finally done with her classes for the day. She didn't have anything planned to do after class, so she was thinking of heading home straight after, but her body felt so weak right now. She was famished. She didn't think she could move another step. Unlikely of her, she skipped breakfast this morning and had yet to snack on anything. Her only source of nourishment was that giant glass of lemonade.
Today, she heard the lunch at the school cafeteria was going to be ddeokbokki, and she absolutely wanted to try a piece or several of that dish. Woolim's spirits picked back up and happily, Woolim skipped down several hallways and up and down some flights of stairs to get to the cafeteria, where she immediately dove for the line and stood eagerly with her tray, ready to get some food. While waiting for the line to move, she stared aimlessly at her surroundings. Turning around, she noticed a brightly colored poster that advertised for the school's Environmental Club. Woolim became entranced by the pigmented colors, her eyes gluing to the advertisement. She was in such a trance that she didn't even notice other students were yelling at her to move up. "O-Oh, sorry! It's just, that poster is amazing." she walked a few steps up, catching up with the student who was in front of her but continued to stare back at whoever was behind her. "Have you ever seen such skill? It's well-balanced, the placement of every detail, the text fits perfectly. It's not just any poster! Look at those leaves! They're the cutest leaves I've ever seen! Coming up with original symbols can be pretty hard ya know?" she blabbered non-stop to the people standing behind her. They glanced back at the poster briefly and then back at her, giving her awkward smiles. However, she didn't notice how distant they were reacting and turned to focus her attention on the food that got put on her tray. Once she finally had her plate filled, she walked over to a table and sat down, being sure to sit near where the poster displayed on the wall, and happily ate her meal as she continued to admire the artwork.
@Jennie Kim Sitting at the table Chanwoo waited patiently for Jennie to say what she needed to. If she was asking for advice, he knew that some people liked to make sure things were said in a specific way. "You should go to school if you want to." He said with a nod, before listening to the rest. "You just.. find something you really like and go for it." He answered not sure if he knew how to give actually good advice for this.
"I mean, for example I love video games. So I am majoring in Video Game Development." He nodded lightly. "You just have to find that one thing you really like and want to do and go for it."
@Jung Chanwoo Grabbing the latte that was handed to her she gave a small thank you to the cashier following Chanwoo back to the table. Sitting down she looked up at him slightly, wrapping her hands around the warm cup. "I don't know." She hummed lightly. She knew exactly what she wanted to talk about it was just hard bringing it up in conversation, and actually talking about it. "I want to go back to school," She began. "I just don't know what I want to do if I come back to school."
Taking a drink of the latte she hummed lightly. "How do you find out what you want to do for your entire life?" She asked lightly, feeling a bit foolish asking someone younger than her something like that, but from her point of view it seemed like Chanwoo had his life together, and was already going for what he wanted.
@Jennie Kim "I do rest." Chanwoo stated. "Sometimes." He mumbled. He looked at the menu thinking for a moment. "I think I will copy you and get the same thing." He nodded approaching the counter a bit more ordering 2 vanilla lattes and paying for the drinks. Once they got their cups, he went back to the table that they were both sitting at.
He sat down taking a small sip of his coffee looking at Jennie. "So, what do you want to talk about, hm?" He asked curiously
@Jung Chanwoo "Make sure you rest, Chanwoo." Jennie said in a concerning mother voice. "It isn't good to stay up like that all the time especially when you have school." She nodded lightly. Before standing up and following him to the counter. She looked at the menu, there wasn't much to offer, but Jennie wasn't much of a coffee person, so she didn't mind. "I think i'm going to get just a Vanilla Latte." She smiled looking up at Chanwoo. "You?"
@Jennie Kim Jennie was observant so it wasn't a surprise to Chanwoo that she noticed his tired expression on his face. "I was playing through Super Mario 64 again." He simply answered, it was one of his favorite games that he didn't mind playing more than once. "I didn't realize how late it was though when I finally shut the game off." He said lightly.
"You already told me you needed advice," Chanwoo began recalling their conversation from before. "But yes, we can get some coffee and talk after words." He said standing up waiting for Jennie before the two headed to the counter looking at the menu trying to decide what to order.
@Jung Chanwoo Jennie was looking through her phone lost in her own world by the time Chanwoo came and sat down in front of her. Instantly she locked her phone and put it to the side. Observing her friend, it seems that he still hasn't changed much, as she could still see dark circles under his eyes and tell just by his appearance that the was tired. "Up all night playing video games?" She asked with a small chuckle shaking her head.
"I need your advice, Chanwoo." She whined lightly looking around and glanced at the counter momentarily. She looked back at her friend. "Can we get some coffee first and then chat?" She asked. "It might wake you up a bit."
@Jennie Kim Chanwoo was in his physics class, almost falling asleep. He was up all night playing old retro games as he would sometimes do when he thought he didn't have anything better to do. It was almost like high school all over again, except Chanwoo actually tried staying awake because he wanted good grades, and to be able to get a good degree. His family wasn't the most well off and if he ended up flunking college it would only cause them a lot of trouble. Before Chanwoo realized it the class ended, and the instructor set them free, and Chanwoo was clueless as to what they even went over in that class.
It was earlier that morning that Chanwoo got a message from one of his friends, and he was surprised to hear from her. They didn't speak often, but they didn't have to to keep their friendship up. They were both busy with their life and work. His friend, Jennie, asked him to meet up, for lunch, so she could ask him for advice. Most of their meet-ups was giving each other advice but it was simple, and it just helped each other make sure that they were both there for each other.
Arriving at the university cafe, Chanwoo looked around momentarily before his eyes laid on the familiar face that he got to see every so often. Approaching her he let out a soft 'Hey' before sitting down. The two were like siblings so even though they were about 2 years apart they got along easily. "What'd you call me here for?" He asked curiously, she didn't tell him anything other than she needed his advice.
@Jung Chanwoo It was almost a year since Jennie had went to school. She took last year off to make sure she could focus on her radio show, and other small projects she wanted to do that year. Now, Jennie was left unsure of what she wanted to do. She loved her radio show more than anything, but she wanted to go to school for more things. She loved being able to do anything she wanted but she felt the need to go to school. Do something else with her life, because running a radio show wasn't the only thing she could do.
With the thoughts heavy on her mind Jennie decided to meet up with one of her friends who was also just attending college for the first time. He took a year off to study on his own, and save up money for his own place, which is why she thought he would be the best person to talk to. Jennie and Chanwoo were friends since a younger age, but they barely seen each other due to Jennie always traveling because of her parents company.
Jennie walked into the cafe looking around for a moment to see if she could find her friend. She wasn't exactly sure why she did that though, because she knew he was still in class and didn't get out for another 10 mins or so, or whenever the instructor let them out. There was just that small hope that he would be there before she was, so she could instantly have a familiar face to see and get her worries off her mind.
