*looks and nods a little*
Good.
I don’t know how they expected me to wash these with just hot water.
*pouts a little*
We have to eat off of these.
*looks back at you and bites my lip softly*
Can you—
Scrape the food into the trash?
*pouts a little*
I hate this part.
I’d rather do the washing.
@Min Yoongi ☧ *heads to the kitchen and sighs at the large pile of trays, collection of pans, and all the utensils that need to be washed*
*gets to the chores right away, starting by scraping all the leftover junk into the trash–the sooner this stuff gets done, the better*
@Cha Hakyeon He doesn't even have time to survey the interior of the room before he's similarly being shoved inside just like the other prisoner. Jiwon's first reaction is one of anger, in which he turns around to level the guard with a glare. It seems like he'll reach out to attack them, but when the man pulls a baton from his belt the prisoner almost shrinks back. That doesn't make sense...Jiwon shouldn't be afraid of things like this. He should be taking that baton and shoving it down the guard's esophagus until he chokes to death. Jiwon isn't his definition of normal right now though. It's as if he's been stripped down to his base instincts - fight or flight, just like an animal in new territory. Jiwon begrudgingly opts for flight and backs down.
Once the guard is satisfied he seems to lose interest in the prisoner, taking to standing on the side of the door with another worker. Left to his own devices Jiwon turns back towards the inside the kitchen. Chrome fills his vision and seems to seer his retinas with the harsh lighting. For a moment he can't find the person that's supposed to be his partner until the sound of running water startles him to whip his head in that direction. When he spots the other he just...watches, for a few moments, eventually making his way over to the large sink while at the same time rubbing the skin of his wrists where the handcuffs had been.
Jiwon isn't exactly sure of what he should be doing. On one hand, he's well aware of how to wash dishes, but on the other he's still halfway stuck in that haze of a mind. Another full moment passes before he settles on an action, reaching out for the unused faucet of the second sink like a robot not knowing how to follow through with its command. He turns the handle for hot water, realizing he needs to put in a stopper to actually fill the sink. Looking around the counter he finds one and places it in the drain. There - all he has to do now, is wait.
@Eun Jiwon After being at this prison for nearly four years, Hakyeon had seen all types as far as the prisoners were concerned. From the lower security guys to the maximum security ones. The one who was being led to the kitchen with him must have been under higher security. It was an easy guess thanks to the handcuffs locking the guy's hands together. That was why he was being escorted by the guards. Hakyeon, on the other hand, was graced by the presence of his simply because he didn't want to do his assigned chore. He hated washing dishes more than anything. He would rather be stuck on a month of toilet cleaning than having to wash the dishes.
Hakyeon kept a careful eye on the other inmate as they were escorted to the destination of their assigned chore. There was something off about him. Hakyeon had his fair share of encounters with the psychopaths in here, sure, but they all seemed to have some sort of personality, good or not. This guy, though--this guy just seemed soulless. Like there was no life in him at all.
Hakeyon noticed the way the inmate seemed to come out of his lifeless daze when they came to a stop, and he hoped that working with him wasn't going to be as bad as he previously thought only moments before. The guards opened the door to the kitchen, and the one escorting Hakyeon shoved him in--not even worrying about how rough he was being. It was a good thing he was used to this sort of treatment by now, otherwise he may have stumbled onto the floor.
Without even waiting for his partner to join him, Hakyeon immediately headed to the sink to start spraying the dishes off so they would be ready to be washed. The faster he got this over with, the better.
@Cha Hakyeon Although he'd normally shrug off the attention of the guard constantly following him around Jiwon can't bring himself to even feel annoyed by the stranger. He's so caught up in his own mind lately, and it makes for a man much more docile than everyone expected - besides the moments in which he's been provoked by other prisoners. Jiwon can't really remember them among the haze of thoughts and memories. He just registers the basic words relayed to him as he's led through the maze of halls with another prisoner in the same drab garb as him. The older hasn't even acknowledged the other's presence, frowning at his own hands as the cuffs are removed. Oh...they've stopped walking. That's new. Shaking his head, as if coming out of a daze, Jiwon lifts his head to view the sign above the doorway. 'Kitchen.' Right, dishes or something...
