@Jeon Jungkook ”Hm." minpha nodded in agreement to what the man said, then quickly grabbed a marker. He began marking down the dimensions as they were on the paper provided to them. With a small sigh once he finished up the markings, the small pink boy placed the ruler down on the table with the back writing utensil he used.
"Well, I won't give you a reason not to distrust me ever," He said suddenly after thinking about what to say for so long, "Trust is a gift and it's better if it's earned. When you break trust, it's like a shattered mirror-- it can never be fixed no matter how hard one may try. Keeping that in mind, I never lie to anyone. Even if it gets me hurt in the end. My honor is more important."
@Minpha “Let’s just say—I won’t distrust you without a reason, but I’m not quick to trust either,” Jungkook stated and gave a small smile. Although a stranger, this prisoner did seem friendly.
Jungkook nodded, and he set the wood slats up on the table. “I’m Korean,” He confirmed without looking back at the other. He took down the tools he knew they’d be needing to start with. It had been a while, but Jungkook remembered enough to be useful. “Minpha. That’s unique—I wouldn’t know if it was girly.” He laughed softly.
“What are we making? A bench?” Jungkook looked around to see if there was a blue print of what they were supposed to be making. He found one on the wall, and he took it down to look at it. “First, we need to measure these to the right sizes.” Jungkook grabbed the ruler and handed it to Minpha. “The dimensions are on the page. If you just mark where they need to be cut, I can saw them down.”
@Jeon Jungkook "Oh please. Even I know that. Then, I guess you shouldn't trust me either eh? Fair enough."
He saw the way the stranger's eyes somewhat lit up when he saw his looks---- He had grown accustomed to the stares and assumptions of his by now. It had been happening for years so he had to force himself to not get offended anymore. Emotion was not allowed in his lifestyle, and it sure as hell wasn't allowed here neither. Now that he was thinking about it, how did he end up in this kind of place anyways? He was still... shocked about it all.
"Woodwork? No. I wasn't allowed to do things like that. I was usually only allowed to be with my sisters--- I /am/ too clumsy for my own good sometimes." His pretty pale face turned a bit red at that confession, however, his hair managed to hide most of that. His light eyes glanced down for a few seconds then back up, "Jungkook? A Korean? How interesting-- I've never met one before. The name's Minpha; yeah, I know. It's a pretty girly name.", a small smile crossed his lips before fading quickly.
"So... Jungkook-- what shall we do? I'll listen to anything you tell me as long as it helps the process move along."
@Minpha Sawdust and the sound power tools brought Jungkook back to places he didn’t want to go back to. He was standing in the garage, the location of one of his foster father’s workshop, watching one of his foster brothers get thrown to the ground for splitting the wood on a project they were building together. Jungkook stepped in to protect him, but ended up taking the beating himself.
The sound of someone speaking brought Jungkook back to the present day, prison workshop. Even the correctional officers were more gentle than he had been treated that day, so it was a relief to be brought back to reality. He looked and saw a rather pretty looking person in the room who spoke with a soft, feminine voice. Jungkook wanted to question this person about their appearance, but he knew that would be rude—even if he just asked out of curiosity. “I—guess I am,” Jungkook nodded a little as he looked around the room. “Nice? Don’t just assume someone is nice because they ‘look’ nice. You’ll get hurt that way.” Jungkook knew from experience. He even learned not to trust people who seemed trustworthy after years of knowing them.
He walked to the storage container and asked the guard working if he could have some wood slats for the project they were to do. He turned to look back at the man who was paired with him. “I’m Jungkook,” It was a good time to introduce himself. “Have you ever done any woodwork?”
@Jeon Jungkook ”This !" The pink haired male shouted in annoyance as he was walked to the room the warden called a "workshop" . Minpha had never been in one of those before, or even ever thought of building anything besides well... wooden stakes (he was really into vampires when he was a kid), so he had no experience whatsoever. What made matters worse is that... he was a clumsy little thing. He was going to hurt himself today... at least once.
As he began to wander around the rather large area, he noticed a figure not too far from the door. "Hey, are you my partner for today?" His voice came out soft and sweet-- almost like a girl's. "I hope so... you look nice."
